Abstract

The credibility analysis of the microteaching assessment instrument based on the responses of biology education students using the Rasch model. This study aims to reveal the credibility of the microteaching (MT) assessment instrument by analyzing the responses of biology education students using the Rasch model. The biology education students as participants played roles as assessors and practitioners of MT. The instrument used was the Instrument of Assessing the Learning Implementation (IPPP) in Book 4 of the 2013 In-Service Teacher Training Program (PLPG) Guidelines issued by the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The data obtained were analyzed by multirater analysis of Many-Facet Rasch Measurement (MFRM) version 3.83.2. Based on the results and discussion, this study concluded that the MT assessment instrument in biology education using IPPP was quite credible, which was revealed from the following three points: 1) The responses of students practicing MT are based on the results of peer ratings on a logit scale ranging from -0.82 to 0.80, which means that students practicing were quite diverse and can be distinguished by the instruments; 2) Student responses as assessor to the MT assessment instrument in logit scale units ranged -1.99 to 0.94 which means that as an assessor, student were able to assess diversely. The student as assessor was also able to understand the different rating scales used; and 3) The results of the calibration of the instruments showed that 24 instrument items can provide accurate information about the performance of the practitioner with logit values ranged from a scale of -0.72 to 0.66.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility of the items of the four-tier multiple-choice test immune system instrument that had been developed. The development of the instrument using the Treagust (1988) model, namely defining content, collecting student misconceptions information, and developing a diagnostic test. A total of 25 items have been developed. The results of the instrument development were tested on 142 students of grade XI from several high schools in Surakarta who were selected by simple random sampling. The data analysis technique was performed using Rasch analysis in the Winstep application. The results of the construct validity test showed items number 5, 7, and 9 did not fit the validity standards. The reliability test shows that the value of Cronbach Alpha reliability is bad (n = 0.51), the value of the reliability item is special (no = 0.97), the value of person reliability is sufficient (n = 0.68), the value of person separation is weak (n = 1.44), and the item separation value is special (n = 5.38). The person discrimination test showed student 056P31 has the highest ability and student 098P51 has the lowest ability. The item discrimination test shows item number 1 is the best item and the bad item is number 14. The item difficulty analysis showed less proportionality because there were too many items in the easy and difficult categories. An expansion of the sample is needed to see a more comprehensive and diverse range of responses to instruments.

Abstract

The study aims to identify the argumentation profile of high school students in learning in the covid-19 era. This research is quantitative descriptive with a survey method. The research population was 172 students, with a sample of 72 students. Determination of the sample using cluster random sampling technique has a balanced quality from the results of the paired F test. The research procedure was carried out by collecting data on student answers from argumentative essay questions distributed via a google form. Argumentative questions based on TAP contain six components, namely Evidence (E), Warrant (W), Backing (B), Qualifier (Q), Rebuttal (R), and Claim (C). The argumentation scoring rubric is calculated based on the Patton-Pickle rule. Data analysis was carried out by interpreting the scores obtained by students on each argumentation component that showed the argumentation profile. Most of the students' argumentation profiles, according to their components, are in the very low category scores, namely 0.5 and 1. A score of 0.5 is obtained by comparing the percentages of students: E: E: W: W: B: Q: R: C: C: C by 23.61%: 1.39%: 0.00%: 52.78%: 45.83%: 83.33 %: 4.17%: 2.78%: 2.78%: 0.00% while the score of 1 is 41.67%: 55.56%: 83.33%: 47.22%: 54.17%: 8.33%: 75.00%: 83.33%: 79.17%: 98 ,61%. Scores were obtained due to various factors, including the learning process that was less meaningful, students' understanding and reasoning of the material was not in-depth, the generalization process of evidence or theory was not appropriate.
