Abstract

Bekasi Regency always experiences an increase in population every year that significantly affects the Environmental Quality Index (EQI) in Bekasi Regency. Environmental Quality Index (EQI) is a value that can describe the quality of the environment in an area at a specified time. The Regency Environmental Quality Index (EQI) is a composite of the Water Quality Index (WQI), Air Quality Index (AQI), and Land Quality Index (LQI). All Environmental Quality Indexes positively affect the fulfilment of basic needs. The calculations in this research show the Environmental Quality Index (EQI) Based on District Level Data in Bekasi Regency is 47.56.

Abstract

Maleo population is decreasing due to the decline in suitable breeding site. The establishment of a maleo sanctuary in Hungayono aims to increase maleo population by protecting its eggs and increasing the success rate of eggs hatched. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of maleo nesting habitats, to describe the semi-natural maleo egg hatching management in the sanctuary, and analyze the success rate of maleo egg hatching in Hungayono. The results showed that the Maleo nesting sites are clean of bushes and shrubs, but there was still shades from trees or bamboo. The nesting sites are close to rivers and geothermal sources with mixed soil structure. The natural egg burrows has an average depth of 92.8 cm, width of 82.7 cm, temperature of 32.5 oC, and humidity of 90%. Hungayono has seven hatcheries that utilized geothermal heat to hatch Maleo egg semi-naturally. The burrows size in the hatcheries were made according to the size of Maleo eggs, with an average depth of 32 cm and width of 10 cm, the average temperature is 32.5 oC and humidity is 90.8%. The incubation period for the semi-natural hatcheries is 60-80 days. Maleo egg hatching success rate reached 60.18% in which is medium category.

Abstract

Durian seeds (Durio zibethinus murr) have gotten less attention in the past. Therefore, it is necessary to treated them into culinary items like flour. The durian used in flour production was a local durian from Tolitoli and Donggala Regencies. As a result, a study was conducted to determine the quantities of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, manganese (Mn), and zinc (Zn) in durian seeds flour. The composition of durian seeds flour from Tolitoli regency obtained was 59.2% for carbohydrate, 3.24% of lipids, 8.75% of proteins, 10.1 mg/kg of Mn, and 6.30 mg/kg of Zn. While durian seed flour from Donggala Regency obtained was 41.76% of carbohydrate, 3.24% of lipids, 10.93% of protein, 7.1 mg/kg of Mn, and 1.22 mg/kg of Zn. According to these results and the National Standardization Agency of Indonesia, durian seed flour can be used as an alternative local food ingredient to fulfil the body's demands for carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, manganese, and zinc. Furthermore, durian seed flour, when processed as a food ingredient, can be used as a replacement for wheat flour

Abstract

Green Open Space serves indirectly to improve the level of public health. One of the sub-districts in South Jakarta is Jagakarsa is a potential area in the development of Green Open Space. Therefore, in this study, ananalysis of the relationship between Green Open Space and carbon was carried out. Determination of the relationship between the area of Green Open Space and CO was carried out using the correlation analysis method. The data used in this study is secondary data in the form of air quality data for five years in South Jakarta Area. Data were processed with SPSS to get the correlation between CO and land used.The results have proven that there is a very strong relationship between Green Open Space and CO with a correlation value of -0,865. Where every decrease in the existing area of Green Open Space/Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) greatly affects CO levels. Based on Law No. 26 of 2007 concerning spatial planning, the minimum proportion of green open space in a city is 30% of the city area, but in Jagakarsa, it is decreased to 10,33 %.

Abstract

Anggrek Cymbidium ensifolium merupakan anggrek terrestrial dengan ciri bunga berwarna kuning corak merah. Keindahan anggrek tersebut menyebabkan masyarakat melakukan eksploitasi yang dapat mengancam kepunahan, sehingga diperlukan upaya pelestarian salah satunya secara ex situ dengan budidaya. Proses budidaya disesuaikan dengan kondisi alamnya yaitu menggunakan bahan alam sebagai pupuk alami atau organik. Bahan alam yang dapat digunakan dalam pembuatan pupuk adalah air kelapa dan air cucian beras. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik cair (POC) berbahan air kelapa dan air cucian beras dengan konsentrasi berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan anggrek C. ensifolium. Metode yang digunakan adalah ex situ dengan menanam menggunakan polybag dengan medium tanah: sekam: sekam berambut = 1: 1: 1 dan mikoriza 15 gr/tanaman di kebun percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan satu faktor berupa konsentrasi POC 0%, 15% dan 30%. Metode analisis data menggunakan ANOVA dan DMRT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan POC berbahan air kelapa dan air cucian beras berpengaruh meningkatkan pertumbuhan C. ensifolium. Pupuk organik cair 30% merupakan konsentrasi optimal untuk panjang tunas, panjang dan lebar daun. Kebaruan penelitian ini adalah digunakannya kombinasi air kelapa dan air cucian beras sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan pupuk dan pada konsentrasi 30% meningkatkan pertumbuhan anggrek.

Abstract

In the context of conservation, the government of Timor-Leste and its partners work together to implement an agroforestry program to address the problem of forest loss which continues to be graded every year. This study aimed to estimate the level of plant species diversity and the potential benefits of agroforestry for the Batara Village community. Data collection was carried out on agroforestry land owned by farmers in Batara Village from December 2021 to January 2022 and data collection using the single plot method and census method, namely 10m x 10m seedlings, 40m x 40m sapling, 60m x 60m pole and 113,14m x 113,14m tree. Data for plant diversity can be analyzed using the margalef index, shannon wiener, and evenness, and the potential benefits of agroforestry using descriptive analysis. Based on the results of research on the diversity of plant species in agroforestry land in Batara village, 33 species of seedling and understorey, sapling level 19 species, pole level 17 species, and tree level 15 species and overall found 42 species of plants with 25 families and the results of descriptive analysis of respondents' interviews show that agroforestry can contribute from an economic point of view by 54.28%, from an ecological perspective to 32.95%, from a social perspective to 24.18% and from a cultural perspective to 6.1%.

Abstract

Pekarangan as one of the potential natural resources and closest to the family can be the right and strategic choice to be used in realizing family-scale food resiliency. The research was conducted in Transmigration area of ​​East Lampung from June 2021 to December 2021. The determination of the pekarangan sample by purposive sampling was carried out on four transmigration ethnics, i.e., the Javanese (100 samples), the Sundanese (100 samples), the Balinese (100 samples) , and the Madurese (13 population), as well as local transmigration, i.e., the Lampungnese (100 samples). Pekarangan model is determined from species diversities on agroforestry system and its plant multistorey condition. The results of identification found three agroforestry systems as a pekarangan model, i.e., the agroforest system (Maduranese pekarangan), agrosilvopastoral (Balinese, Javanese, and Lampungnese pekarangans), and agrosilvopastoralfishery (Sundanese pekarangan). Each agroforestry system contributed to food sources by 54.54% (agroforest), 46.15% to 65.51% (agrosilvopastoral), and 89.28% (agrosilvopastoralfishery).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi partisipasi masyarakat dalam pencegahan kebakaran hutan dan lahan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah di Provinsi Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dan sumber data diperoleh melalui wawancara, media online, berita online, dan jurnal terkait penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan aplikasi pengolahan data NVivo 12 plus, alat analisis dokumen kualitatif dengan bantuan komputer. Mereka mudah digunakan dan dapat memproses kata dan mengeksplorasi frekuensi kata, atribut, dan kasus dari data besar, menghasilkan kategori faktor dalam aplikasi jurnalistik dan penelitian yang terkait dengan topik penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah membuat strategi untuk mendorong partisipasi masyarakat dalam kerjasama pengelolaan lingkungan khususnya dalam mengatasi masalah kebakaran hutan dan lahan di Provinsi Jambi. Reaksi informal dari masyarakat dapat dilihat melalui kebijakan pemerintah untuk membuat program Kelompok Peduli Kebakaran yang dilatarbelakangi oleh aspirasi masyarakat terhadap kebakaran hutan dan lahan. Pemerintah membentuk Kelompok Peduli Kebakaran untuk menekan angka kebakaran hutan dan lahan.

Abstract

The Acehnese have a long history of disaster preparedness due to their experience with natural disasters, including tsunamis and epidemics. During the COVID-19 outbreak, Aceh has benefited from many lessons from collaboration at the central, regional, and village/gampong levels by the government and PENTAHELIX actors such as communities, academics, religious leaders, mass media, entrepreneurs, philanthropy, and local wisdom combined with modern technology for cross-border mobility. Handling COVID-19 in Aceh has strengths in the form of unique local wisdom and privileges of Aceh Province. This paper provides the best lessons on readiness, response, recovery efforts, a new disaster risk reduction approach, and future recommendations from the Aceh Province during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Acehnese’s local wisdom is salt, water in the jar (le lam guci), henna on fingers (pakek gaca), chewing betel leaf (pajoh ranup), burning rice (tuet leumang), isolation of the sick, and hold a prayer, is obtained from the plague experience in the past.

Abstract

Kebakaran hutan dan lahan setiap tahunnya menjadi salah satu isu lingkungan yang menjadi perbincangan masyarakat, baik tingkat lokal, nasional, hingga internasional. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kebakaran di lahan gambut antara lain: tinggi muka air, hotspot, dan curah hujan. Badan Restorasi Gambut dan Mangrove beberapa tahun ini telah membuat alat dalam bentuk sensor Sistem Pemantauan Air Lahan Gambut (SIPALAGA) dengan tujuan pengukuran tinggi muka air. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk (1) menganalisis hubungan tinggi muka air dengan hotspot sebagai indikator terjadinya kebakaran hutan dan lahan, serta (2) menganalisis tinggi muka air dengan curah hujan. Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur memiliki distribusi hotspot periode Januari 2019 – Desember 2021 senilai 916 titik panas (hotspot). Hasil uji korelasi hubungan hotspot dengan tinggi muka air memperoleh nilai korelasi sedang dengan nilai -0.408 dan P-Value 0.001, hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hotspot dengan tinggi muka air mempunyai hubungan negatif, yang artinya tinggi nilai hotspot akan diikuti bersama-sama dengan turunnya nilai tinggi muka air. Adapun untuk korelasi tinggi muka air dengan curah hujan mendapatkan nilai korelasi tinggi dengan nilai 0.705 dengan nilai P-Value sebesar 0.001 dan memiliki notasi positif, yang artinya tingginya jumlah curah hujan akan diikuti Bersama tingginya nilai tinggi muka air.
