Abstract

The utilization of digital technology has significantly transformed the way Muslims study the Qur'an. Digital Qur'an applications, online platforms, and artificial intelligence (AI) provide easier and faster access to religious texts, including Qur'anic exegesis and studies. However, concerns arise regarding the potential impact of these technologies on the depth of religious understanding, especially in preserving the spiritual and traditional aspects of Qur'anic studies. This study aims to explore the optimal use of digital technology in Qur'anic studies and examine the opportunities and challenges with a focus on digital applications. A qualitative approach was employed using library research, drawing from literature sources such as books, academic journals, articles, and relevant research reports. Findings reveal that digital technology offers numerous conveniences, such as broad, interactive, and flexible access. However, challenges like potential misuse of shallow interpretations, dependence on algorithms, and declining quality of teacher-student interactions pose significant concerns. Thus, the application of digital technology in Qur'anic studies should adopt a wise approach, adhering to the principles of Islamic scholarship and spirituality. Additionally, digital literacy and collaboration between religious scholars and technology developers are essential to ensure that digital applications and platforms genuinely support a profound and contextual understanding of the Qur'an, assisting users in filtering information from credible sources while avoiding the spread of inappropriate content.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the causes of conflict and propose alternative conflict resolution in tourism development. Although this sector experienced a significant growth and was able to encourage economic growth at various levels, its management faces governance challenges for instance conflicts of interest that occur in the Sipin lake area. This area constructed in 2017 which is designated as a tourist area based on regional regulations spatial plan of Jambi city. The data is obtained from various field information through in-depth interviews, observations and various sources which then it is systematically coded to find the meaning behind the phenomena that occur. This paper reveals that conflict in development of tourism objects is triggered by the planning and implementing non-participatory regional development and differences in orientation among the actors involved. The management of an area of ± 161 ha is not maximum managed, and this can be seen from the management of the area that is not well-organized and untidy. This paper underlines that tourism conflicts can occur due to various things that result in poor tourism management so that the potential to reduce the number of visitors.

Abstract

The snake fruit processing company UD Salacca faces several challenges in its snake fruit processing activities, including people, machines, methods and the environment. The aim of this research is to identify the challenges faced by UD Salacca in snake fruit production. The risk management method used in this research follows the ISO 31000:2008 guidelines using the House of Risk (HOR) Model, which includes steps for risk identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation, and risk management. 22 risk events (risk factors) have been identified from 9 process activities and 17 risk agents (risk causing factors), of which there are 5 high priority risk causes. The causes of this risk include the mixing process taking less than three hours, weather and pest factors, not being careful when loading, and not being careful in the sorting process using traditional grinding equipment. From the research results, 18 proposed mitigation strategies were found from 9 process activities. Some of the strategies proposed include the use of machines in the ripening process, the use of tools to peel snake fruit, the use of personal protective equipment when working, supervision and implementation of work operational standards during harvest, and the use of assessment checklists when sorting snake fruit. Early handling strategies are needed by salacca businesses to anticipate major risks. These results can be used to increase the company's effectiveness in handling risk management

Abstract

Oil palm is a strategic commodity in Indonesia, and its production quality is greatly influenced by the ripeness of the fruit at harvest. Manual ripeness determination is still subjective and prone to errors due to variations in worker experience and environmental conditions. Advances in computer vision and deep learning technology offer a more objective and consistent automated solution. This study aims to develop and evaluate a model for detecting the ripeness level of palm oil fruit using the YOLOv12m algorithm based on digital images. The dataset used consists of 3,375 images with three ripeness classes (unripe, semi-ripe, ripe), which are divided into training, validation, and testing data with a ratio of 70:20:10. The model was trained for a maximum of 25 epochs with an early stopping mechanism. The evaluation was conducted using precision, recall, mAP@50, and mAP@50–95 metrics. The results showed excellent performance with precision of 0.958, recall of 0.946, mAP@50 of 0.985, and mAP@50–95 of 0.882. Class-by-class analysis shows the best performance in the raw and ripe classes, while the unripe class still poses challenges due to visual similarities between transition phases. Overall, the YOLOv12m model has proven to be effective and has the potential to be applied as a more objective and efficient harvest decision support system.
