Abstract

In the development of climbing perch cultivation, there are several factors that are still obstacles, namely, slow growth and low survival, especially in the critical period phase, namely the post-larval phase. The aim of this research was to analyze the effectiveness of giving Daphnia sp with viterna enrichment on the survival and growth of climbing perch post-larval. Proximate analysis was carried out at the end of the research to see the nutritional content of the enriched Daphnia sp. Sampling was carried out at the beginning and end of the study with a maintenance period of 30 days. During rearing the larvae were given Daphnia sp 2 times a day. This study used RAL for 4 treatments and 3 repetitions, namely: treatment A (control), B (viterna enrichment 10 ml/l), C (viterna enrichment 20 ml/l) and treatment D (viterna enrichment 30 ml/l). The proximate test results showed that treatment B produced the highest protein content, namely 59.61%, while the control treatment was 49.45%. Survival rates range between 76-88%. Relative weight growth ranged between 214.41-524.69% while relative length ranged between 29.24-59.62%. Treatment B produced the best relative growth in weight and length but was not statistically significantly different from the other treatments. Treatment D produced the best survival but after statistical tests it was not significantly different between treatments.

Abstract

Complaints are quite an important thing in a village community services, with the submission of complaints, allows community administrators to improve the quality of the village and solve many common problems. A slow response in handling complaints can give a bad image to the village administrators. Babadan Village is one of the villages in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. In this village, complaints are sent by the villagers by contacting the head of the village through the social media WhatsApp. However, over time this method is no longer considered effective, and causes a lack of responsiveness in handling complaints. Therefore, through the development of this application, it can hopefully facilitate the villagers in submitting complaints to the administrator and can also make the administrator faster in handling complaint reports from its villagers. The systems planning begins with analyzing the current system, prototyping, testing, and then ends with implementation. Then the development method of android mobile-based applications will be done by applying the RESTful API Technology.  Based on the results given from this study, the application was able to function in line with the objectives that have been described.

Abstract

In general, children's growth is monitored through Posyandu activities. This Posyandu seeks to monitor the growth and development of children so they do not experience malnutrition or malnutrition. One of the main factors in the process of physical growth and development is nutrition. However, the problem facing Posyandu today is the infrastructure used, namely measurement tools that still use conventional tools. This certainly affects the efficiency of parents in monitoring the growth and development of children, therefore this study designed a nutritional detection system for infants. The working principle of this tool utilizes an ultrasonic sensor to determine the baby's length and a load cell sensor to determine the baby's weight. The data detected by the two sensors will be processed using the stm32 microcontroller. By using the nutritional z-score formula, it can be classified into several statuses based on child anthropometric standards. Processed data will be displayed on the LCD and then stored in the MySQL database to make it easier to read the measurement results. In this study the test was carried out 10 times with different respondents. The data obtained from testing the design tool is compared with the measurement results on conventional tools so that an error is obtained on the weight sensor (load cell) of 3.3% and a success rate of 96.7%, the average percentage error on the height sensor (ultrasonic ) of 0.3% and a success rate of 99.7%.

Abstract

An increase in domestic wastewater if it isn’t treated properly, will potentially lead to a decrease in water quality. Existing conditions in Sumbersari Sub-district based on the preliminary survey, the domestic wastewater disposal is still mixed with the drainage network. This sewer then directly channeled into the water body without any prior treatment, this’s contrary to the PUPR Ministerial Regulation No.4 of 2017. The planning aims to network planning of Wastewater Distribution System in Sumbersari District. The planning service area is carried out in Sumbersari Sub-district, Antirogo Village isn’t included because it has the lowest population density and topography isn’t possible to be served. The planned wastewater is just graywater wastewater. The planning results concluded that the average wastewater discharge and peak wastewater discharge are around 178.19 L/s and 459.28 L/s. The planning is divided into 6 blocks and there’re 3 WWTPs to service the area. The planned pipe dimensions are 90-600 mm. There’re 3 pumps, 10 siphons, and 331 manholes for complementary building requirements. The total cost required for this planning is Rp53,477,911,716.

Abstract

The need for electrical energy is very high, but fossil power plants are running low. Consequently, innovations in alternative energy sources are increasing, including sea waves. The geographical location of Indonesia, which is a country with several islands and is accompanied by several beaches, has the potential to bring up innovations in alternative renewable energy, namely wave power plants. In Indonesia, several regions have used sea wave power plants with the OWC (Oscillating Water Column) system. Therefore, this study conducted an experimental OWC test of a piston and turbin as combination mechanism in a water wave power plant by combining the number of pistons and turbines in 3 variations, i.e., 1 piston with 2 turbines, 1 piston with 1 turbine, and 2 pistons with 1 turbine. This experiment compared the effects of the combination of the number of pistons and turbines on the torque, voltage rotation, mechanical power, electrical power, and efficiency of the three combinations. The research results indicated that the combination of 1 piston and 1 turbine produced the highest torque of 4.73 Nm, while the combination of 1 piston and 2 turbines yielded 0.76 Nm, and 2 pistons and 1 turbine generated 4.47 Nm. Out of the three combinations, the highest electrical and mechanical power occurred in the combination of 1 piston and 1 turbine at 8 watts and 298.4 joules per second, respectively, with a voltage of 0.89663 volts, a rotation of 603 rpm, and an efficiency of 10%.

Abstract

Microplastics are pollutants of emerging concern today. The presence of microplastics in fish from several marine environments has been reported worldwide. This study examined the presence of microplastics in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) of the Kiper Fish (Scatophagus argus) from the Segara Anakan Lagoon, Cilacap, Central Java. Microplastics were found with an average abundance of 22.22 ± 6.8 items/ind. Fragment (45%) was the main type of microplastic found in the analyzed Kiper fish, followed by fiber (27%), film (21%), and pellets (7%). Eight types of colors were found in the analyzed fish, with black (43%) and transparent (33%) being the predominant plastic colors. There were 12 types of microplastic polymers found, namely Polystyrene (PS), Nylon, Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), Cellulose acetate (CA), Polycarbonate (PC), Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), Polypropylene (PP), Polyurethane (PU), Latex, Acrylonitrile butadiene stryrene (ABS), High-density polyethylene (HDPE), Polyethylene telephthalate (PETE). The results of this study indicate that more serious attention must be paid to the handling of plastic waste, given the accumulation of high amounts of microplastics in fish, which can be harmful to human health.

Abstract

Surface and ground water pollution that occurs in DKI Jakarta shows an increasing trend. Efforts to develop centralized household domestic wastewater treatment which had been initiated by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government since 1972 have been progressing very slowly. A lot of research has been carried out and can be used as a reference, but not much has discussed the sustainability of holistic domestic wastewater management. The concept of sustainable development is basically how to place ecological, economic and social aspects as an inseparable unit so that it can meet the needs of the current generation without reducing the ability of future generations to meet their needs. The waste water management system implemented by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is still partial and not holistic. The research results show that waste water management in DKI Jakarta is at a less sustainable status. For this reason, determining priority strategies to achieve the objectives of the waste management development program and formulating strategies for developing domestic waste management, including reducing the level of water pollution, financing development, selecting technology, handling social problems, providing land, developing institutions and increasing community participation, needs to be carried out. for the sustainability of domestic wastewater management in DKI Jakarta.

Abstract

Liberalization of the defense industry in Western countries and fundamental changes in military doctrine have created a variety of sophisticated weaponry used by developed countries. The aim of war today is no longer to control enemy territory, but to rely on sophisticated weaponry to achieve certain goals. This journal highlights the complex threats emanating from submarine military modernization in the Asia Pacific and its impact on Indonesia's maritime security. This research uses the AHP method to look for the biggest submarine threats, then uses game theory to play out the strategies of the countries that have the biggest threats. This research examines threats from neighboring countries that have advanced submarines and formulates appropriate strategies to maintain Indonesia's maritime security. The research results show that Australia is the country with the highest submarine threat level in the region, followed by China and Singapore. Malaysia has a lower threat level. In facing the threat of nuclear submarines from Australia, Indonesia must design an effective maritime defense strategy by considering diplomacy, regional cooperation, increasing defense capabilities and comprehensive policy planning. This is important to maintain national security and stability in the era of increasingly developing submarine military modernization in the Indo-Pacific region.
