Abstract

ABSTRACT The title of  research is The Effect of Teaching Methods and Learning Attitude of Academic Grades in Junior High School Students in South Jakartat. The aims to determine (a) the effect of Indonesian method of learning the value of a student's academi. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of Indonesian learning method to academic grades of student (b) knowing the influence of learning attitude to academic grades of student (c) knowing the influence of Indonesian learning method and learning attitude to determine the effect of academic grades of student. The method used is a survey method. The sample size of 60 eighth grade student of SLTPN 41 and SLTPN 107, selected using simple random sampling technique. The data collection was done by using observation and using questionnaire. Analysis of the data by using is ANOVA dua jalur. The research result shows: 1) There is a significant direct effect of jigsaw learning method withconvensional learning method to Indonesian academic grades of student, retrieved price Fhitung (56,517) > Ftabel (2,77) at a significant level 5%. 2)There is a significant direct effect of high learning attitude withlow learning attitudeto Indonesian academic grades of student, retrieved price Fhitung (18,056) > Ftabel (2,77) at significantlevel 5%. 3) There is a significant direct effect of learning methodand learning attitude students toIndonesian academic grades of student, retrieved price Fhitung (5,235) > Ftabel (2,77) at significant level 5%. This research resultis useful for improvement Indonesian academic grades of student. Keyword: Indonesian learning method , learning attitude, and Indonesian academic  grades of student.

Abstract

Article and section on the language and literature in the Indonesia Language Act 24 of 2009 has a very hopeful nuance in the development of this era of information technology. However, the implementation of Language Development in the Globalization Era faces a very serious challenge. In fact, certain articles and sections are violated by a president who actually signed his own act. The Language Agency invites all stakeholders in the regions to make legal arrangements in the form of district regulation, mayor regulation, and governor regulation on language control in the public sphere. Indonesian can become an international language if started from the people of Indonesia itself. Indonesian leaders should love their language more than foreign languages, and play the role of international language at home and abroad through the United Nations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah seorang anak dapat menguasai kemampuan membaca dan menulis bahasa Inggris secara efektif dengan menggunakan Metode Montessori, dan untuk menjelaskan perkembangan anak dengan menggunakan Metode Montessori untuk belajar membaca dan menulis bahasa Inggris sebagai Bahasa Asing. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menerapkan metode kualitatif, semua data yang dianalisis, berupa deskripsi fenomena, bukan dalam bentuk angka tapi dalam bentuk kata-kata. Instrumen untuk mengumpulkan data adalah sesi rekaman dan sesi pencatatan. Efektivitas dan perkembangan anak terlihat teori  faktor-faktor yang umumnya dianggap relevan dengan pembelajaran bahasa, seperti kecerdasan, kemampuan, preferensi peserta didik. Hasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan Metode Montessori, anak mampu mengenali dan menghafal suara baru dengan mudah, kata-kata yang memiliki suara campuran dan juga suara diftong. Karena materi Montessori melibatkan semua sisi visual, aural dan kinestetik, anak dapat menyesuaikan semua pelajaran dengan mudah saat dia menggunakannya. Butuh waktu kurang dari 3 bulan untuk bisa membaca dan menulis dalam bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan Metode Montessori. Apalagi anak itu antusias dan suka belajar dan mengikuti semua langkah yang ditempuh Montessori karena Metode Montessori menggunakan benda nyata, gambar nyata sehingga anak bisa menyentuh dan merasakan bahan yang mempengaruhi kerja otak mereka dan disamping itu juga menarik perhatian anak.

Abstract

Listening is an activity in which we can not only understand oral speech, but we can also respond to that utterance. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the use of ELT Web can improve the competence of junior high school teachers in listening skill and further with this paper can provide variation to teach listening by using technology. The method used from this research is quantitative method. The sample in this research is junior high school teachers. The researcher gave the question of pre-test in multiple choice, and listening post-test after practice using ELT Website. The results of this study indicate an increase in listening skills as indicated by the increase in post-test values.

Abstract

Structuralism approach can be applied in language, literary and culture research. The research aims at describing Structuralism approach in language, literary and culture research. Structuralism is generally a doctrine or method that considers its object is not just the only one a collection of separate elements, but rather as a combination of elements that are related to one another, so that one depends on the other. Research method of this research is analysis descriptive. In this research, the researcher found description of structuralism relates with intrinsic literary object, language structure associated with form, category, function and role. Intrinsic culture associated with its local wisdom of society covered attitude, value, state of mind and how to work.

Abstract

The research basically aims at describing implicature utterances and implicature strategy of the speech acts and its types of utterance used in the situation comedy series of The Big Bang Theory seen from the Pragmatics point of view. The data is analyzed and described qualitatively by examining the correlation of the implicature strategy of the speech acts and its types of utterance. The data of this research is the implicature utterances of the characters, particularly the ones that appear in each type of utterance (i.e.,declarative, interogative and imperative) and types of speech act (i.e. representative, expressive, directive, and commissive). The source of data is face-to-face conversations among characters who are Physicists and one friend work as waiter. The data is taken from the conversations in the 20 series of three seasons of the situation comedy series of The Big Bang Theory. Findings have shown that implicature utterances among characters by exemplifying declarative, interrogative and imperative. Implicature strategy of the speech acts and its types of utterancethat is subcategorized into several types of utterance of speech act, namely: representative, directive and expressive.

Abstract

The purpose of the research study in metaphore in the English text literary at National University is to enlarge the knowlodge in the translation of metaphore and the types of metaphore categorize that have been found in English text literary especially in role plays. Since the research is begun, translating the metaphore text was not the easiest once. In fact, metaphore becomes the part of figurative language which is refers to two parts like Implicit and Expicit. Literary text  has been used by the English students as their data because they found metaphore sentences to be analyze in their research. This research uses descriptive qualitative research that focus on observation during the class. Therefore, all the data were collected dan arranged in dictionary that would be useful for the students in faculty of letters.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif-kualitatif. Tujuannya adalah ingin menginventarisasi berbagai tuturan dalamberkomunuikasi. Teori yang digunakan tergolong eklektik, yaitu gabungan teori etnografi komunikasi dan teorituturan. Hasil penelian menyatakan bahwa dalam pembicaraan sehari-hari kita menggunakan berbagai tuturan,seperti pendapat pakar pragmatik Austin, yaitu verdiktif, eksersitif, komisif, behabitif, dan ekspositif.Adapun jikaberdasarkan teori Searle, tuturan dalam pembicaraan kita adalah asertif, direktif; komisif,ekspresif, dandeklaratif.Kata Kunci: tuturan , deskriptif-kualitatif, eklektik, verdiktif, eksersitif, komisif,behabitif, dan ekspositif.

Makalah berjudul Kritik Sastra, Implementasi Pengajaran ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan ikhwal kritik sastraIndonesia, penerapan, dan manfatnya dalam dunia pengajaran. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui maksud penggunaan kata-kata tertentu dan Black English serta slang Amerika dalam lirik lagu tersebut dan hubungannya dengan latar belakang kehidupan Eminem dahulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Analisis penelitian ini terfokus pada kata-kata yang digunakandan ragam bahasa Black English dan slang Amerika yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu Mockingbird.. Penulis mengaitkan teori analisis wacana kritis dengan teori transkultural Pennycook, black English, dan slang Amerika, untuk menganalisis lirik lagu tersebut dan melihat penyebaran budaya hiphop. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara latar belakang kehidupan Eminem dengan penggunaan kata-kata tertentu dalam lirik lagunya.Kata Kunci: analisis wacana, black English, bahasa slang Amerika, Mockingbird
