This paper intends to explore the possibility that phenomenology can be used as one of the foundations of scientific epistemology of Islamic education management. Scientific management of Islamic education would not be sufficient if only positivistic approached scientifically. Behaviors that contain messages of moral, theological and ideological embraced by managers, implementers and users of Islamic educational institutions are very complicated. To be able to describe these phenomena with a reasonable and until the deeply meaning (eidos), so phenomenological approach is needed. This approach can be used as a basis in developing others the science of Islamic education management. The science of Islamic education management can have a number of scientific fields (The science of diniyyah, madrassas, Islamic schools, and Islamic higher education management) and gave birth to a number of expertise (administrative staff, headmaster and superintendent at the madrasah level).

However, violence against children is increasing each year. The most dominant violence emerged in recent years is sexual abuse committed against children aged 5 to 11 years, and the perpetrators of sexual abuse are close with the children. Concern about cases of sexual abuse in early childhood and their impact, should be followed by an effort to develop a variety of approaches and methods of sex education in accordance with religious and cultural values in which children live.

Abstract

The education system in Israel is a centralized system including both Jews and Arabs. Therefore, these schools are controlled both administratively (including funding) and curricular by the government. From the data obtained in the field, there is an unbalanced comparison between Jewish and non-Jewish educational systems (including Arabic) in Israel. This shows the lack of resource justice, budgetary discrimination, and less developed learning and development programs, especially seen in the Arabic education system. The main purpose of education in Israel is to help the Jewish majority group and intend to maintain Jewish domination. Arabic education applied in Israel has been the subject of Muslim and Arab intellectual criticism. Their rejection is mainly related to the inequality, discrimination and marginalization facing Arab education. With this perspective, the Islamic movement has spurred Islamic educational institutions to uphold and maintain the religious identity and national identity of Muslim minority members in Israel. The article describes the education system in Israel including the religious education system as well as the education system for minorities in Israel.

Abstract

This research studies headmaster’s systemic and systematic steps on transforming symbolic into substantive characteristics of madrasah. The research was conducted at MA Nahdlatu Al-Wathan Putri Narmada, a female Islamic senior high school, in West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). This study used qualitative approach with a case study design. The results found that the observed symbolic characteristics are physical characteristics which distinguish madrasah from other educational institutions. The substantive characteristic is the characteristic of madrasah rooted in its origin, as a historical-genealogical continuance of pesantren. It also preserves the essential, perennial and contextually philosophical values of Islamic teachings, maintains the characteristics of Islam and follows the government policy at the same time because madrasah is a juridical sub-system of the national education with an Islamic integration. Additionally, the head of a madrasah is a translator of Islamic values in his leadership. These Islamic values should be the basis of systematic and systematic leadership.
