Abstract

The 3-in-1 vegetable-fish cultivation is an innovative cultivation system that integrates floating and climbing vegetable cultivation with fish culture. This cultivation is a solution to the problem of narrow land in urban areas for vegetable-fish cultivation to create: a) Fish farming in a concrete pool at the bottom position, b) Shade-tolerant vegetables cultivated using a floating culture system, and c) Climbing vegetables on a dedicated netted-frames as high as 2 meters above the pool. The dimensions of the pool correspond to the available land. The floating raft was constructed using 69 units of 1.5 L plastic bottles as floaters, assembled into a raft with a surface area of 2 m2. The buoyancy capacity of the raft is 120 kg. The raft has been patented with Granted patent No. IDP 000065141. The community service activities are a) Open demonstrations for 3-in-1 vegetable-fish farming installations; b) Socialization and assistance to communities interested in implementing it; and c) Collection of data and information for evaluation and publication materials. Static demonstration activities during one cycle of cultivation and socialization to three potential community groups, namely: a) Urban communities as the primary target; b) Journalists for more enlarging coverage of the dissemination; and c) Agricultural students for the learning process. Urban communities can adopt the dissemination of land optimization through 3-in-1 vegetable-fish cultivation on urban land. Community interest in this cultivation system innovation is outstanding, as represented by the community's enthusiasm for this program.

Abstract

The empowerment of marginalized communities has increasingly become a crucial issue and program in Indonesia today. The central and local governments strive to empower these communities, including the Sea Tribes on Pulau Lipan. In practice, marginalized community groups are increasingly ignored by the government, as experienced by the Sea Tribe on Lipan Island. This community service program seeks to implement development in the education sector regarding the values of love for the sea for Sea Tribe children at State Elementary School (SDN) 006 Selayar. The curriculum used is prepared by considering the condition analysis made by the service team. This activity aims to foster love and awareness of marine ecosystems in Sea Tribe children so that they can maintain marine conservation and ensure wiser use of the ocean. The method used is to teach children about the sea through exciting and fun interactions about the love of the sea and games. Apart from that, the service team also established a mini library for the Sea Tribe community. The results of the implementation of activities show that the curriculum and method of delivering material and developing skills are appropriate for Sea Tribe students in receiving marine education, which can be measured from the level of children's interest and the relevance of the material that can be applied. Two-way, applicable education effectively educates sea tribe children about maritime affairs. Several obstacles are also faced in implementing the following program, where it is necessary to design a curriculum design that can provide learning to students in a sustainable, structured, practical, and memorable manner so that the instillation of maritime values can be enhanced and not just incidental as happens in the program.

Abstract

The community service program with the students focuses on Pulisan Village, which is in the Likupang KEK (Special Economic Zone) area and a super-priority tourism destination. Pulisan has many attractions, including beaches, islands, and sea. However, Pulisan also needs new tourist attractions, specifically terrestrial tourist attractions, to distribute tourist visits well. Therefore, a community service program with students is carried out in collaboration with partners, namely tourism care groups entitled Designing the Savana Hill Ecotourism Tracking Route in Pulisan Village, Likupang, North Minahasa Regency. The method used was direct assistance to the community, in this case, the Pulisan Village tourism awareness group responsible for developing the Pulisan Tourism Village. The design of the ecotourism tracking route used mapping technology to determine the direction and location points created, as well as stopping points along the Pulisan Savana Hill tracking route. With the Savana Hill tracking route, tourist visits are focused on the sea, islands, and beaches, and they are distributed to Savana Hill using the designed tracking route. The community service program with students resulted in an output, namely the design of a tracking route with three stopping points (shelters).

Abstract

Capacity Development of Closed-Loop Food (Rice) Farmers in East Nusa Tenggara is a training that is carried out to increase the understanding of prospective farmers who implement the food closed-loop system (rice) in Nagekeo East Nusa Tenggara regarding the bookkeeping, access to financing and marketing. The training was held in Mbay, Nagekeo Regency. Participants are 14 partner farmers of Pandawa Agri Indonesia (PAI) who are currently or have implemented PAI Innovation. Activities are implemented in several stages from coordination, training, FGD, pre-test and post-test. Abstract

Agripreneurship activities initiated by the Faculty of Agriculture Alumni Family Association (IKA Faperta), together with the Faculty of Agriculture, IPB University, are an effort to create young, independent agripreneurs with sustainable businesses. This activity is a forum for increasing student capacity through assistance in the agricultural business sector from upstream to downstream. IKA Faperta plays a role in assisting active students of the Faculty of Agriculture. In implementing this program, the parties involved were five active students from the Faculty of Agriculture as interns, 1 IPB alums as project managers, six as mentors, and 2 IPB lecturers. The method of implementing activities is carried out through four main stages: socialization, provision, field projects, and field trips. The demonstration plot was made at Sadifa Farm, Bogor Regency, with a land area of 10 x 15 m and a plant population of 250 red okra plants. Evaluation of changes in knowledge during participant debriefing is carried out through pre-test and post-test. Based on the IKA Faperta Agripreneurship activity results, this activity can encourage students to form a business unit based on agricultural products. It can increase experience and expertise in carrying out on-farm cultivation. Product marketing activities are also carried out by implementing two sales strategies: direct selling and digital marketing platforms. Product absorption is also optimized through collaboration with strategic partners, namely Agribusiness and Technology Park (ATP), a center for agricultural product innovation and a link to a broader market.
