Abstract

A web-based learning media is a learning media developed and run using website technology so that able to display learning material in the form of text, figure or graph and video which is more attractive compared to printed learning material such as moduls or text books. The observation results showed that learning processes conducting in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura and SMA Muhammadiyah 4Kartasura mainly are still using printed material. The objective of the community service is to introduce web ?based learning media of volley ball and to improve skillof the teachers by conducting fundamental web development training. Firstly, a webbased volley ball learning media had been developed by using HTML5. The application has some useful features such as theoretical preview of volley ball and its technique including visualisation using graph, picture and video. Secondly, in the web development training session, a content management system (CMS) Wordpress was used as a paltform so that participants did not need to develop web from scratch. The post-tes quesionnaire results showed that all participants have knowledge and skill to use a web-based volley ball learning media and also they have acquired basic skill in web development.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is improving knowledge and skill of quail farmer?s in waste management of quail. The management of waste is processing of organic fertilizer. The participate in the activity are quail farmer?s in RW II Sub-village Ginung, Gajahan Village, Colomadu, Karanganyar. The result of this activity in step I that is be good attention from a quail farmer?s especiality at trainning time process of product organic fertilizer. As for its result as follows; trainning and assistence quail farmer?s is followed enthusiastic fully by participant and greeted positive by head of Village Gajahan Colomadu, Karanganyar. That are many question in trainning process of product organic fertilizer. The others result in activity is a quail farmer?s started processing of product organic fertilizer in housebreed themselves. The  processing of product organic fertilizer will be clean in Gajahan Village environment and also this activity will be value added toward income quail farmer?s.

Abstract

School as an institution where children get education, teaching and learning so that the school produced a superior human beings and qualified. Kartasura PCM is one of the flagship PCM in PDM Sukoharjo have elementary school level that has been known in the community, namely: MIM PK Muhammadiyah Kartasura, MIM Pucangan, Kertonatan MIM, MIM Gonilan and SDIT Al Kawthar Makamhaji Kartasura. The current fifth that grade school has a good reputation in the community. This community service aimed to increased awareness of the environment from all components of school at Muhammadiyah Elementary schools in PCM Kartasura. The first stage wasthe policy workshop school by school leaders and teachers, the second was distribute the grant of trash cans and posters, the third stage wasparticipatory education of Hole Infiltration Biopori and the fourth stage was monitoring. Monitoring results found that posters used as it should be, but the trash cans are still not being used properly, placement of trash cans were not side by side and still foundedthe organic waste mix with an organic waste in the same trash cans. Abstract

Many Indonesian teachers of Senior High School have used a lecturing method. Indonesian learning, it is necessary for them to implement an appropriate method and have a high creativity as well as make innovation. For them, a cooperative-based learning innovation is considered difficult and costly. Therefore, they remain to implement a lecturing method. The problems are that a cooperative-based learning has seldom been implemented and they have frequently used a lecturing method. In Indonesian learning, thus, it is necessary to implement a new strategy, called paragraph development and questions-answers between students. The strategy makes the students active, creative, and pleasurable because it focuses on cooperation in its implementation.

Abstract

Abstract

PAUD Aisyiyah 3 Salatiga consists of two (2) institutions namely kindergarten (TK) Aisyiyah 3 and Playgroup (KB) Aisyiyah 3 as one of the educational institutions in Salatiga. However, the processing of the academic data still established conventionally, in which the data is only written in a book. This is certainly unable to prevent the repetition of the data that is recorded. Repetition of data can lead to inefficient bookkeeping and frequent errors relationships among the data. In addition, the book is stored in filing cabinets that affect the occurrence of difficulties in the search for the necessary data at any time. This service activity carried out in order to help PAUD Aisyiyah 3 Salatiga perform academic data management through the website. It is considered as data management using the internet media is a means of managing data that can be done easily, quickly and cheaper cost. Thus, the output is a website for the education institutions PAUD Aisyiyah 3 Salatiga. The activity carried out with the first step is creating a management information system of school academic data. The system is made using a CMS with the programming language is PHP and Javascript. The information system is then hosted online. The second stage is conducting training for the school teachers. With this training, participants are expected to take advantage of academic data management information system optimally to manage the data of academic school. The result is a web-based academic data management information system at www.paudaba3salatiga.com. The information system is made with two types of users, namely as an admin user that has full access rights, and ordinary users with limited privileges. This system can be used to manage the data of teachers, students, parents / guardians of students, classes, inventory, learning activities, and assessment activities of the students. Meanwhile, the training result shows some problems, such as lack of Internet connections in schools, and the limited ability of teachers in the terms of information technology. Therefore, the team will continue to monitor the use of the information systems

Abstract

PAKOM activities purpose to help resolve the community problem about sufferingfrom mental illnes. Patients recovering from a mental disorder burden in the family,another result was isolated by society because they considered dangerouse. PAKOMwas conducted in a Nguter village of Sukoharjo district. These problems possibilitycan be solved with build up the community mental health center. The purpose of thisactivity is to create the community mental health center as a first home base andrehabilitation services the mental illness in a community. Base on the health centerare expected the mentally ill patients able to socialize with the community, engagingin activities in the community, as a result the patient’s quality of life better and impactto the decreasing recurrence rate level mental disorders in the community.

Abstract

The objective of this community serves is to give a workshop to English teachers using cooperative learning method in particular the techniques of Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD), Team-Games-Tournaments (TGT) andJigsaw STAD. This activity is also to enhance the quality of teachers in language teaching method in the class. Cooperative learning is teaching method using small group which provide students to help each other to discuss and understand lessons given by their teacher. The subject of this activity is English teachers of Muhammadiyah Senior High Schools, and Muhammadiyah Vocational schools in Surakarta. The output of this activity is participants understand and master the techniques that trained to them during the workshop. The teachers perceived that this activity is positive and very beneficial for them. They intended to implement those teaching techniques in their real English classroom.

Abstract

The society service has aimed at accompanying the teachers on understanding and conducting the program of sustainable professionalism development (PKB) based on curriculum 2013. When the society service program has finished conducted, it is expected to acquire the four goals as follow: (1) the emergence of a professional teacher group and acquire the teaching competence by implementing the active learning strategy with scientific approach based on curriculum 2013; (2) the learning devices based on curriculum 2013; (3) the research proposal is classroom action research; and (4) the scientific publication article. The method applied in the society service program was conducted with the same model as the PLPG program conducted but the program implementation was simpler or could be called as mini PLPG. The program activity was beginned by deepening of material activity which related to the concept of PKB and the concept of curriculum 2013. The concept of PKB emphasized on three points that should be developed by the teachers, they were the self development, scientific publication, and innovative work. The concept of curriculum 2013 has priority on the changing understanding of the paradigm and the basic concept of curriculum structure, the prominent were about the core and the basic competences. After the deepening materials which conducted in the first phase has finished, the activity then continued by the workshop of the learning devices which emphasized on the concept of scientific approach, the active learning, and the authentic assessment which followed by peer teaching activity. The worshop activity of learning devices was conducted by facilitating the teachers in arranging the learning scenario based on the materials determined. The peer teaching activity was conducted by divide the participants into some groups to conduct the teaching practice by turns and apply the scientific approach. The third phase was the arranging the academic writing, and it has the priority on the arranging of classroom action research (PTK). The teachers were assigned to propose the classroom action research title based on the problem emerged on their classroom. After the teachers have determined the title, the society service team divisible the job to accompany the teachers in arranging the classroom action research. The strategy used in conducting the third phase, the society servicec team acted as the consultant. By the strategies applied, it is expected that the teachers would be more directed in writing and arranging the classroom action research in order to produce the quality academic writing.
