Abstract

The purpose of this activity is improving knowledge and skill of quail farmer’s in waste management of quail. The management of waste is processing of organic fertilizer. The participate in the activity are quail farmer’s in RW II Sub-village Ginung, Gajahan Village, Colomadu, Karanganyar. The result of this activity in step I that is be good attention from a quail farmer’s especiality at trainning time process of product organic fertilizer. As for its result as follows; trainning and assistence quail farmer’s is followed enthusiastic fully by participant and greeted positive by head of Village Gajahan Colomadu, Karanganyar. That are many question in trainning process of product organic fertilizer. The others result in activity is a quail farmer’s started processing of product organic fertilizer in housebreed themselves. The  processing of product organic fertilizer will be clean in Gajahan Village environment and also this activity will be value added toward income quail farmer’s.

Abstract

Seeing is crucial aspect in life includes in the field of education. Ifit is not cured the reduction of  sharpness of seeing/visus can affect thestudent ability to study. This action is done to detect  this reduction early.Therefore, the eyes will not be getting worse. The research is done bytraining and demonstrating how to check visus. The location of the researchis SD Gedongan I, Gedongan, Colomadu, Karanganayar. The 31 studentsare checked. The result is that there are 3 students have visus with miop.All the students can participate in this research well.

Abstract

Insulin resistance causes 90% of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) cases and this is due to an increase in the activity of glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3). Dephosphorylation and activation of glycogen synthase prevent type 2 diabetes by inhibiting the work of GSK-3 beta isoform primarily. The study was done in unix (mac and linux) operating system with the sequence of steps were optimization of geometry of ligand, ligand and protein preparation, validation of docking methods, molecular docking and analysis, and 3D modeling of ligand-protein interactions. Optimization of target ligand geometry using Gaussian showed that molecular docking score increased 62.5% compared with geometry optimization using MarvinSpace. Polyhydroxy compound zerumbon derivats: ZER04, ZER05 and ZER06 potential to be tested further in the laboratory as an anti- type 2 diabetes both in vitro and in vivo. This is based on the ability of the compounds in term of molecular interactions that better than the native ligand of target protein 4PTE, 4AFJ, 3ZRK, 3GB2, 3DU8 and 1Q3W (60% of the total protein targets tested) as an inhibitor of glycogen synthase kinase- 3 types of beta (GSK-3b).Keywords: polyhydroxyzerumbone, glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta, docking molecular, DOCK6

Abstract

The validity of atomic absorption spectrometry method for lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) determination in methanol extract and product of Curcuma xanthorrhiza was unknown. The aim of this work is to determine the validity of atomic absorption spectrometry method for Pb and Cd determination in methanol extract and product of Curcuma xanthorrhiza. Digestion process was done by wet digestion method and its results were read by atomic absorption spectrometry at a wavelength 217.0 nm for Pb and 228.8 nm for Cd. Validation results found % recovery of Pb and Cd respectively were 87.16% ± 0.38 (RSD 0.42) and 89.10% ± 0.06 (RSD 0.07) in methanol extract of Curcuma xanthorrhiza, 92.62% ± 0.24 (RSD 0.26) and 100.16% ± 0.07 (RSD 0.07) in Curcuma xanthorrhiza product. Precision test found the RSD value for Pb in the methanol extract and product of Curcuma xanthorrhiza were 0.02 and 0.14 respectively, but the RSD value for Cd were not detected. The linearity test results of Pb and Cd standar solution were 0.9998 and 0.9979. The LOD for Pb and Cd were 0.4 ppm and 0.1 ppm, and the LOQ were 1.3 ppm and 0.5 ppm respectively. Based on the % recovery results, the method of Pb and Cd determination by atomic absorption spectrometry is valid for methanol extract and product of Curcuma xanthorrhiza. The levels of Pb in extract and product of Curcuma xanthorrhiza were 2.10 ± 0.001 mg/kg and 4.34 ± 0.001 mg/kg respectively, but the levels of Cd in both samples did not detected.

Abstract

Peningkatan imun tubuh merupakan salah satu himbauan pemerintah untuk pencegahan penyakit semenjak terjadi pandemi virus Covid-19 yang sampai saat ini belum ditemukan obatnya. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah melakukan sosialisasi pemanfaatan tanaman obat keluarga/empon-empon untuk pencegahan paparan Covid-19 di Desa Cabeyan, Bendosari, Sukoharjo dimana pemahaman warga terkait pencegahan penyakit masih kurang serta belum pernah ada edukasi kepada masyarakat terkait upaya untuk meningkatkan imunitas. Tahapan yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini antara lain penetapan lokasi sasaran, peninjauan dan observasi lokasi sasaran, perencanaan rancangan dan materi, pengorganisiasian perijinan kegiatan, apersepsi kegiatan, pelaksanaan kegiatan, pelaporan, evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Penyampaian materi pemanfaatan tanaman obat keluarga menggunakan metode penyuluhan yang meliputi ceramah dan diskusi. Evaluasi menggunakan penilaian kuesioner pre dan post tes yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan pada semua peserta mengenai materi manfaat obat tradisional, pengolahan bahan alam menjadi obat dan penggunaan bahan alam dengan aman.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Lempuyang di masyarakat dikenal memiliki 3 spesies yaitu lempuyang gajah, wangi, dan emprit. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan lempuyang gajah memiliki aktivitas antidiabetes pada tikus yang diinduksi aloksan. Skrining farmakologi terhadap lempuyang emprit (Zingiber amaricans BL) masih sangat terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi ekstrak etanol rimpang lempuyang emprit terhadap kadar glukosa darah tikus diabetes yang diinduksi aloksan. Hewan uji yang digunakan adalah 20 ekor tikus jantan putih galur Wistar yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol positif menggunakan glibenklamid, kontrol negatif menggunakan akuades, dan 3 kelompok perlakuan ekstrak etanol rimpang lempuyang emprit dengan tingkatan dosis  0,4 g/kg BB, 0,6 g/kg BB dan 0,8 g/kg BB. Pengukuran kadar glukosa darah pada hari ke-0, ke-4 dan ke-19. Data diuji dengan metode analisis statistik menggunakan software SPSS versi 17 for windows. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa tiga tingkatan dosis ekstrak etanol rimpang lempuyang emprit dan glibenkamid mampu menurunkan kadar glukosa darah dengan bermakna. Kadar rerata glukosa darah pada hari ke-4 untuk masing-masing kelompok dosis 0,4 g/kg BB, 0,6 g/kg BB, 0,8 g/kg BB dan kontrol positif adalah 264,5±18,86 mg/dL, 261,5±30,34 mg/dL, 245,0±29,02 mg/dL dan 264,5±14,30 mg/dL menurun menjadi 105±44,06 mg/dL, 149±45,20 mg/dL, 123,75±21,40 mg/dL dan 112,5±17,75 mg/dL pada hari ke-19. Kata kunci : antidiabetes, tikus jantan, Wistar, Zingiber amaricans.

Abstract

Kunyit (Curcuma domestica) dan temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza)merupakan tanaman yang banyak digunakan untuk produk obatherbal, yang khasiat utamanya tergantung pada kurkuminoid danminyak atsiri. Dengan adanya perkembangan produk-produk obatbahan alam, maka pengawasan terhadap produk-produk yangberedar di pasaran perlu dilakukan. Tujuan dari penelitian iniadalah untuk mengetahui validasi metode KLT-Densitometri untukpenetapan kadar kurkumin pada produk obat herbal yangmengandung ekstrak kunyit (D1) dan temulawak (D2). Metode KLTDensitometriuntuk analisis kurkumin dilakukan denganmenggunakan fase gerak kloroform: benzena: metanol (80:15:5) danfase diam silika gel GF254. Nilai Rf dari kurkumin yaitu 0,5 yangdideteksi pada λ maksimal 416 nm. Hasil persen perolehan kembaliuntuk parameter akurasi pada sampel berturut-turut yaitu 106,33 ±2,33% (D1) dan 103,14 ± 2,06 (D2). Sedangkan nilai %RSD padapenetapan parameter presisi antara dari sampel D1 dan D2 berturutturutyaitu, 1,39% dan 1,57%, dan pada parameter keterulanganadalah 1,35% dan 1,78%. Sehingga metode KLT-Densitometri validuntuk penetapan kadar kurkumin pada produk herbal.
