Abstract

The availability of a high-quality potato seed will affect the increasing of Indonesia potato production. Indonesia Vegetables Research Institute (IVegRI) attempts to produce various high-quality potato varieties. The potatoes are needed to be disseminated to users. Therefore, they could create benefits in terms of increasing farmers' production and revenue. The objective of the study was to identify West Java potato farmers' preference for the seven potato varieties that have been released by IVegRI. The survey was carried out in Garut district, West Java province, Indonesia. Total, 32 potato farmers, participated in the survey from January to September 2019. The Perceived Quality (PQ) was used to analyze data. The result indicates three potato varieties preferred by potato farmers were Dayang sumbi, Sangkuriang, and Medians, respectively. The result would be useful for the IVegRI to create better potato varieties in the future.

Abstract

Hospitals and clinics are included in the criteria of work places with a variety of hazards that can cause health effects, not only for the employees who work in that place, but also  the patients and visitors of hospitals and clinics. With the application of K3 and ergonomics in any existing facilities in the area of the UMP clinic will result in improvement of service quality, and patient satisfaction.  The methods used in this research are Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and the Kano Method. The result shows that the percentage of Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) is 59.8%, it means that the patients satisfied to the facilities and services. Based on the KANO methods, the following attributes have to improved to increase the customer satisfaction, that are the room temperature, the room tranquility, and lighting conditions.

Abstract

Employee performance is the result of work that is achieved or the results that have been done or worked by an employee within the chores that are charged to the employee. The problem is a priority weighting of the factors and sub factors to get the solution in advance in accordance with the order of priority. In this study the data collected is done by direct observation, interviews, questionnaires and literature. The data are processed to determine the priority weight of the components that affect employee performance. From the calculation by AHP method can be obtained by order of priority as follows: The first is the human resources with priority weight 0.558. The second is working environmental conditions with priority weight 0.312. Last is managerial with priority weight 0.131. Thus the factors that require attention and consideration of the company to increase work performance is a factor of human resource with the greatest priority weight.

Abstract

Inventory control is an internal process that is essential for the company's operations, especially in the field of industrial paints. Many types, colors and sizes of packaging paint often urged companies to hoard supplies. Nevertheless the possibility of failing to meet customer demand still occur, either due to exhaustion of stock, delivery delays, or for any other reason. Finished product inventory control in a way or innovative method must be developed to reduce excess inventory so as to minimize storage costs and to meet customer needs optimally. Use the ABC method and modifications VEN can be an alternative in inventory control application based on the classification of products and level of service companies. With a combination of ABC-VEN method, it will obtain 9 grade product inventory to the value of each service level that has been adjusted so that it can help determine the optimal inventory control policies for the company. From the research, suggested inventory control policy indicates that the inventory turnover rate suggested an average 3.14 times per year is the number of days supply of inventory was 76 days.This means that the inventory control policy suggested, PT. Propan Raya I.C.C can improve inventory performance by increasing the speed of inventory turnover amounted to 60.2% and increase the efficiency of the number of days supply of inventory by 37.7% of the current inventory.

Abstract

The users of the bike is currently doing a lot of camping in the open sky. Security becomes one of the problems when in nature. Camping cyclists often feel a sense of worry when leaving the bike. Based on these needs, it is necessary additional design part on the bike that made the frame set up the tent. The method used in the design is the canoe method. This method is used to determine the desires of bicycle users based on the level of customer satisfaction to the product of tents and bicycle merging. The results of the study were 13 attributes included in the servqual dimension. Grouping attributes based on canoe categories are 6 attributes including attractive category, 2 must be attributes, 4 one-dimensional attributes, and 1 indifferent attribute. The size of the tents that are made has a length of 200 cm, width 240 cm and height 160 cm.

Abstract

Dalam melakukan aktivitas kerja, manusia sebagai pekerja mempunyai batas-batas tertentu. Oleh sebab itulah kita perlu mengetahui keterbatasan serta kemampuan yang kita miliki untuk dapat ditinjau lebih lanjut agar dalam pelaksanaan kerja nantinya tidak terjadi accident maupun hal-hal buruk yang akan menimpa kita akibat tidak adanya perhitungan akan prinsip biomekanika.Pabrik pencetakan batu bata milik Bapak Miri mengerjakan pencetakan batu bata dengan proses manual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan posisi kerja usulan pada operator. Dari perhitungan dengan menggunakan metode NIOSH dapat disimpulkan bahwa telah diperhitungkan nilai Recommended Weight Limit (RWL), nilai Lifting Index (LI), nilai Torque dan nilai konsumsi energi dari posisi usulan pada semua bagian tubuh dan dibandingkan pada posisi awal operator bekerja, maka pengangkatan beban tidak lagi bertumpu di bagian back dan sudah berubah dari posisi awal bekerja serta mengurangi keluhan bekerja pada bagian back. Bekerja tidak perlu terburu-buru, karena akan mengeluarkan energi yang dikeluarkan banyak dan akan mengakibatkan resiko cedera pada bagian tubuh.

Abstract

Sarong goyor becomes one of the excellent product of Sukoharjo city. Most of the production centers of small medium enterprise (SME) sarongs have been exported overseas, especially to African countries and the Middle East. The business of making this sarong is a hereditary business that is still maintained until now, which in the production process is still done manually using non-machine loom (ATBM). This study aims to determine the relative efficiency of SMEs gloves by using the integration of fuzzy concepts and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The input variables considered include raw material costs (CMTR), direct labor costs (CDHR), and other costs (FCST). The output variables analyzed consist of sales (REVN) and profit (PRFT). The results show that there are four SMEs as an inefficient Decision Making Unit (DMU), in one DMU operating on decreasing return to scale (DRS) and three DMUs operating on increasing return to scale (IRS).

Abstract

Company that will conduct business development needs identification of technology needed, so that development can be in accordance with company objectives. Therefore it is necessary to evaluate the existing technological sophistication.The purpose of this study was to determine the level of sophistication of the individual components of the technology (technoware, humanware, infoware, orgaware) and determine which technology components into a development priority. This study used Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and technometric. Based on the results obtained after performing calculations with AHP and technometric, found that the level of technology component sophistication in the company according to technoware is 0.650, humanware is 0.557, infoware is 0.637, orgaware is 0.693 and the overall level of sophistication or Total Contribution Coefficient (TCC) is approximately 62%. At the current, level of technology at PT XYZ is semi-modern. While the most important technological components to be developed are technoware and lowest component technologies are humanware.

Abstract

ABC is a company engaged in the production of automotive spare parts and accessories, especially motorcycles. The problems faced by the company, there is frequent damage to the CNC Milling A. The company applies preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities, but these maintenance activities have not yet run optimally. Therefore, a maintenance system is developed to improve machine reliability. The method used is Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), with the aim of determining the optimal maintenance interval and estimation of efficient maintenance costs. RCM is done by analyzing the Failure Modes Effect and Critical Analysis (FMECA). The results of the FMECA analysis are in the form of a Risk Priority Number (RPN) that shows the components of rail bearings, spindle bearings, and hoses as critical components of the system. Through the RCM method, the maintenance policy is generated in the form of 2 scheduled on-condition tasks, 2 scheduled restorations, and 3 scheduled discard tasks with maintenance time intervals in accordance with the task category and can save maintenance costs of IDR 175.602.300.

Abstract

SERVQUAL is a service quality measurement model that is assumed to be widely applicable in every sector of service industry, yet research proves the opposite. Characteristic of customer in each segment can be a factor that causes differences in measurement model. According to that fact, this research is conducted to identify the difference of measurement model in each customer segment, especially in e-banking industry. Not only we identify the measurement model,  this research is done to confirm the relationship between 3 constructs as well, which are service quality, satisfaction, and loyalty. Several statistical method will be introduced here in relationship with segmentation process, measurement model identification, dan the three constructs' validation process. Segmentation process yields 2 customer segments which are people with high and moderate expectation to service quality. In the first segment, the measurement model consists of 4 quality dimensions, which are fullfilment, efficiency, assurance, and web design while there are 5 dimensions in the second segment which are fulfillment, responsiveness, information technology, assurance, and efficiency. There are also significant relationships among service quality, satisfaction, and loyalty.
