Abstract

Violence in the world of education becomes a fairly complex and complicated problem. The violence that is practiced is the impact of structural inequality in education system as a whole. Violence can be found in social values, cultural, and structural society factor. Violence in education could be prevented by minimizing the root problem. Violence behavior in education that are not immediately resolved, will generate further violence. To prevent such violence, role of religion, culture, and human values need to be internalized in everyone through Islamic education and religious culture. Education constitutes educational process that empowers people to be able to resolve the conflict with creative ways, and it is not handled by violence. Internalization of education of Islamic religion and culture of religiousity can prevent violence behavior because religion teaches the importance of affections, forgiveness, mutual helping, prioritizing peace than violence, respecting the rights of others, and not insulting, stealing, or even killing each other. In short, internalizing education of Islamic religion and culture can be effectively omit violence because it teaches students peace education, affections and humanity. Therefore it can be used as an alternative solution to discontinue the violent behavior in education.

Abstract

Psikologi humanistik atau disebut juga dengan nama psikologi kemanusiaan adalah suatu pendekatan yang multifaset terhadap pengalaman dan tingkah laku manusia, yang memusatkan perhatian pada keunikan dan aktualisasi diri manusia. Bagi sejumlah ahli psikologi humanistik ia adalah alternatif, sedangkan bagi sejumlah ahli psikologi humanistik yang lainnya merupakan pelengkap bagi penekanan tradisional behaviorisme dan psikoanalis. Psikologi humanistik juga memberikan sumbangannya bagi pendidikan alternatif yang dikenal dengan sebutan pendidikan humanistik (humanistic education). Pendidikan humanistic berusaha mengembangkan individu secara keseluruhan melalui pembelajaran nyata. Pengembangan aspek emosional, sosial, mental, dan keterampilan dalam berkarier menjadi fokus dalam model pendidikan humanistic. Aliran Psikologi Humanistik selalu mendorong peningkatan kualitas diri manusia melalui penghargaannya terhadap potensi-potensi positif yang ada pada setiap insan. Seiring dengan perubahan dan tuntutan zaman, proses pendidikan pun senantiasa berubah.Kata kunci: psikologi, humanistik, pendidikan

Abstract

Every child is born holy in nature. Therefore, whether he/ she is bad or good in the future is on parents’ hand. Early childhood is a critical phase in human development throughout life span. How parents treat and develop their children will determine how they will be in their adulthood. If parents use effective and good ways in maturing and nurturing their children, they will grow well. Yet, in contrary, if parents do not do so or fail in nurturing their children, they will grow immature. In this issue, early childhood education takes an important role in children development. This paper will discuss early childhood education and how to apply it in a formal (i.e. playgroups), as well as in an informal (i.e. home parenting) education. Several theories and practices are presented in this current paper. In sum, this article found that formal early childhood education cannot stand alone without significant support from the informal one. Both formal and informal early childhood education should run together in a mutual practices and frameworks.

Abstract

The urgent orientation of curriculum management on the context ofdeveloping human resources quality especially about out put of educationat internasional Islamic senior high school is a effort to achieve four(4) primary competences; academic competence, personal competence,social competence, and spiritual competence. For improving curriculummanagement in order to develope human resource quality, InternationalIslamic high school has to apply good strategy to reach competitif andqualified its educational out put. Its strategies are: first, strategy basedon organization system approach where it stresses to organize curriculumindependently, creatively, and innovatively by the Islamic sinior high school. Second, strategy based on purposes focus approach covering several aspects; inquiring sciences, inquiring standart skill standart, inquiring coompetence, character building, and mastering ability for solving social problem of children. Third, strategy based on competence approach focusing on inquiring certain competence based on the development stapes of children. The success of strategies also should be supported by school leader’s ability to mobilize resources potentiality that available at school.

Abstract

Since the early 20th century, madrasah with its independent characteristics is accepeted by people gradually, as one of the Islamic education which plays an important role in the development and improvement of education quality in Indonesia. However its existence which is managed by people as much as 96% made it difficult to get its right to be supervised based on the letter of dicision from the Ministry of Religion. The government’s aid is very important for process of modernizing the school. The madrasah system was related to the school Islamic identity in facing the competition of education in global era.Keyword: Islamic education, madrasah, education quality.

Abstract

This paper aims at reviewing bullying at schools, including its definitions, characteristics, forms and factors preceding it. More specifically, this paper discusses the effects of bullying on children’s future. According to literatures and some various researches, bullying in childhood and in school days allegedly becomes one of main factors that caused psychological disorders in their adulthood. Some of recorded disorders that are related to long-term impact of bullying at school days are Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, lack of confidence, and withdrawal. Eventually, this paper will propose the ways and methods in solving and preventing bullying and its impacts.

Abstract

Problem utama kehidupan dalam era pluralitas agama adalah terjadinya Konfli, baik antar individu maupun kelompok. Konflik bisa disebut sebagai entitas yang abadi dalam setiap perbedaan. Karena itu, menghilangkannya semasih ada perbedaan adalah “mustahil”, tetapi yang bisa dilakukan adalah meminimalisir. Strateginya adalah penerapan pendidikan multikultural dalam kurikulum, selain adanya kesepakatan dialog dari kalangan yang berbeda. Namun, perlu ditegaskan bahwa sesuai dengan peran dan fungsi pokok pendidikan sebagai transfer nilai dan pengetahuan (transfer of values and knowledge), maka pendidikan multikultural memiliki cita-cita ideal, yaitu terwujudnya perdamaian, keadilan, dan persaudaraan sosial, anti konflik, kekerasan, dan diskriminatif.  Kata Kunci: Pluralitas Agama, Multikultural, Konflik, dan Pendidikan Multikultural.

Abstract

This paper will discuss learning strategy models which put student as subject of learning. Teacher is expected to take an advantage in using those models to reduce violence in education circumstance. As found in researches and mass media, violence in education circumstances, which is performed by teachers or students, still become high concerns among parents, teachers, and students themselves. One such thing that may cause this violence is learning and teaching approach or strategy by which teachers use. Changing learning and teaching strategy to be more effective and fun will probably reduce those sort of violence in education circumstances, like in schools or universities. The individual character of teachers and students are also discussed in this paper to find other factors of violence in education.

Abstract

Internationalization is truly acceleration into all fields that able topierce the limit of field and regional otorities of a state, or on Robertson’sview (2003), internationalization is the third wave of globalization, thatable to accompany a state becoming superior or on the contrary, will befalling out. The existence and success of higher education especially forIslamic Higher Education in Indonesia (PTAI) in the globalization eraand liberalization of education in the future will be decided so much bythe seatle of akademic and educational infrastructures preparation ofthe higher education and has more farther at international competitionlevel without lossing Islamic morality character as its basic application.This assumtion also has to be supported by more better strategies fordeveloping quality system of Islamic higher education; first, managementof higher education at Islamic higher education (PTAI) should beable to concentrate for international academic quality development.Strengthening its management should be supported by; (1) implementation of acreditation for regional and international scales, (2) otonomy of organizing higher education that more established with empowering local and national potentialities, (3) accuntability of Islamic higher education aplication supported by the whole stakeholders, and (4) competencies of infrastructures and human resources at Islamic higher education is always improved through resources improvement policy. Second, aplication of quality management should be supported by good academic atmosphere implemented on the whole stakeholder’s commitment for achieving more better quality of Islamic higher education in the next future. Third, humanistic sense of diversity has to becoming primary supporting tool for Islamic higher education to face internationalization application more humanistic and large international academic networking for supporting Indonesia’s human resources becoming qualified, productive, innovative and competitive in all competition scales.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sumber daya manusia adalah merupakan aspek yang sangat penting dalam proses pendidikan secara umum. Oleh karena itu fungsi-fungsi dalam pengelolaan sumber daya manusia harus dilaksanakan secara optimal sehingga kebutuhan yang menyangkut tujuan individu, perusahaan, organisasi ataupun kelembagaan dapat tercapai. Disamping itu dengan prosedur pengelolaan sumber daya manusia yang baik diharapkan kekurangan dan problem yang dihadapi oleh bangsa Indonesia, yaitu yang terkait dengan kemampuan daya saing dapat teratasi. Suatu bukti bahwa bangsa Indonesia masih belum siap untuk bersaing dalam dunia global dapat dilihat dari kemampuan daya saing sumber daya manusianya. Tenaga ahli kita belum cukup memadai untuk bersaing di tingkat global. Dilihat dari pendidikannya, angkatan kerja kita saat ini sungguh memprihatinkan. Sebagian besar angkatan kerja (53%) tidak berpendidikan. Mereka yang berpendidikan dasar sebanyak 34%, berpendidikan menengah 11%, dan yang berpendidikan tinggi (universitas) hanya 2%. Padahal tuntutan dari dunia kerja pada akhir pembangunan pada jangka panjang II nanti mengharuskan angkatan kerja kita berpendidikan. Dari angkatan kerja yang ada hanya 11% saja yang tidak berpendidikan; 52% berpendidikan dasar; 32% berpendidikan menengah; dan 5% dari angkatan kerja harus telah berpendidikan universitas.Kata kunci: Sumber Daya Manusia, Pendidikan.
