Abstract

The research aims at determining whether Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) is effective to decrease the symptoms of cat phobia (Ailurofobia). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. The One Group Pre-Test and Post-Test Design of experiment was applied. The Phobia Scale was used. The result show that there was effect of SEFT at cat phobia's symptom. The psysiological symptoms decreased by the change of perception to the cat. Biologically, SEFT has change the prefrontal cortex that accept the suggestion exactly. Subjecb've perception changed psychologically, followed by decreased of physiological symptoms.Keyword : Cat phobia (Ailurofobia), Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT)

Abstract

Physical differential ability adolescents have difficulty to develop their potential so imply their psychological welibeing. The aim of this research was to examine the effect of mindfulness training to increase psychological welibeing of physical differential ability adolescents. The pretest-posttest experimental design were used in this research. Participants were 5 male clients stay at physically differential abibility rehabilitation center, 18-24 years old and got physical diferential ability cause by accident and illness. Results showed that mindfulness training was not significantly effective to increased psychological welibeing to participants. From pretest to posttest showed that z=-1.841 and p=0.06 (p< 0.05). From posttest to follow up showed that z=-0.135 dan p^O.893 (p<0.05). Qualitative abalysis showed that subject's psychological welibeing scale score lower than pretest because they didn't practice mindfulness regularly and feel anxious with the future. One subject got higher psychological welibeing scale score than pretest because practice mindfulness regularly, high motivation and proactive in mindfulness training process. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of positive psychotherapy on improving the welfare well-being of early adult women who do not have a partner/boy friend/fiancee. Positive psychotherapy (PPT) is a therapy developed by Tayyab Rashid using a positive psychological approach. The goal of this therapy is to build a pleasant life, engagement life, and a meaningful life, by optimizing the power side of a person and maximizing the usefulness of positive emotions. The researchs design in this research is quasi experimental, involving two Participants using purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained by using interview method, observation, and questionnaire. The questionnaire used in this research is Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and positive and negative influences affect schedule (PANAS). Positive psychotherapy is given as much as six sessions. Measurements are made twice, ie before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using descriptive-qualitative analysis. The results showed. Positive psychotherapy gives effect in improving subjective wellbeing of single early adult women who do not have a partner/boy friend/fiancee.Keywords: positive psychotherapy, positive psychology, subjective well-being

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of yoga technique to improve anger management. The design of this study is a quasi-experimental method. The study compared two groups: group with yoga (n= 60) and no yoga (n = 60). Respondents aged between 20-40 years (M = 46.15, SD = 7.017). Data processing was performed with the Mann-Whitney U test on two groups of test criteria reject H0 if the pvalue <0.05. The results showed a p-value of 0.000, which means there was a difference anger management in women with yoga than those women without yoga. This research showed that yoga techniques becomes alternative way to manage angry emotions. Yoga helped anger management,calmminds, reduce stress, provide improved awareness and alertness of the body.Keyword : anger management, young adult, yoga techniques

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the effectiveness of group logotherapy in reducing prisoner anxiety symptom. There were five prisoners who will be free, but had an anxiety problem. They conducted group logotherapy that consist of six session treatments. Data was collected by interview, observation, and anxiety questioner HARS. Data analysis showed that anxiety, decrease after intervention was delivered. Key words: group logotherapy, anxiety, prisoner

Abstract

This study is aimed to examine the impact of reading on the regular basis and comprehending Al-Qur'an training to increase positive thinking ability. The hypothesis of this research is that there is, a positive correlation between the training and positive thinking ability. The prisoners who followed training had more positive thinking ability. There are twenty prisoner from Yogyakarta Penintentiary Class IIA that were involved in the research. Many aspects from Albrecht conception were used to make 50 items scale. Pre-post test control group design is the experimental design of this research. From quantitative analysis SPPS Program version 11,5 for windows, researcher obtain scores between two groups (p=0.0125; p < 0.05), therefore the hypothesis is accepted.Keywords : positive thinking, reading an the regular bases, meaning Qur'an

Abstract

During pregnancy, women experience significant changes in physiological and psychological functions. The research data shows that the process of pregnancy becomes a source of anxiety. This study aimed to examine the effect of Al-Qur'an Tadabbur therapy to reduce anxiety on the first delivery. Subjects are two groups of pregnant women. Measuring instruments used in this study is the Maternal Anxiety Scale were given before and after treatment and during follow-up. The first group received Al-Qur'an Tadabbur therapy, while the second group was the control group (waiting list). The difference (gain score) of pre-test, post-test and follow-up were compared by using Mann-Whitney analysis to determine whether there are significant differences in anxiety gain score. The result is the group who followed the Al-Qur'an Tadabbur therapy has lower anxiety score, p = 0.032 (p<0.05) compared with the control group. This study shows that Al Quran Tadabbur therapy can be used as one of the way to reduce anxiety before delivery. Key Words : Anxiety, Al-Qur'an Tadabbur Therapy, Pregnancy

Abstract

The study aimed to explore the influence of a Support Group (SG) to the psychological well being of HIV/AIDS patients in Blitar. The study employed the ex-post-facto method using static group comparison approach. There were 20 people with HIV/AIDS participate in the study, consisted of 10 patients who joined SG for at least six months and those who did not join. The data was collected using the 42 items Psychological Well Being Scale. The independent sample t-test resulted that there was a significant difference between those two groups indicated by t - 2.250 (p < 0.05). it can be concluded from the result that participation of HIV/AIDS patients to a Support Group gave impact to their psychological well being. The process of Support Group in giving rise to the psychological well being was discussed. Keywords: Support Group, Psychological Well Being, HIV/AIDS

Abstract

Mathematics at school often assumed as a terrify. It could affect in mathematics engagement which had an important role in students learning performance. This research was aimed to examine the effect of Team Accelerated Instruction (TAI) toward Mathematic Engagement among 3th to 6th grade of elementary school. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of coaching training in improving problem solving skills of PT.X supervisor in East Kalimantan. The hypothesis is that coaching training could enhance the ability of problem solving of supervisor. Coaching consists of four aspects, there are able to understand the problem, able to seek and assess alternative solutions, able to implement the solution, and able to carry out an evaluation of the solutions that have been implemented. The study involved 26 new supervisors with tenure 1-3 years. Measuring instrument was problem solving scale (Ellis and Hunt, 1993), which had 25 items. Data analysis using independent sample t-test showed a nonsignificance value of p value (p = 0.506> 0.05) in the post-test, the hypothesis stated are not accepted. Thus, there is no difference in the ability of solving problems in experimental and control groups. However, when the implementation of the follow-up showed a significance value p value (p = 0.030> 0.05), which indicates that there are differences in post-test to follow up of the experimental group. Keywords: coaching training, problem solving ability
