Abstract

This study intends to investigate the effect of visual motor behavior rehearsal training on athletes self confidence. The hypothesis was there are differences in the self confidence level of basketball athletes between experimental group compare to control group after visual motor behavior rehearsal training was given.The subjects of this study were 18 university students aged 18-20 years old or comparatively active in the regulation of PERBASI. The control group were college students that fuse at Universitas Islam Indonesia's basketball unit, and the experimental group were college students that fuse at Universitas Gadjah Mada's basketball unit. Data collected using the self confidence scale by Vealey, which has proven it's reliability and validity. Results showed that there were significant difference in the confidence level of basketball athletes between experimental groups paired to control group after the training was given.Key words: self confidence, visual motor behavior rehearsal training, basketball athletes.

Abstract

Children with attention deficit and hiperactivity have difficulty to concentrate, wich is needed in the learning process. in order to optimalized the process of learning at school and home, researcher modificated the way of learning and environment. Result show that there's increased attention in three weeks of intervention and evaluation. This result could calculated from the increased of attention baseline time in third weeks of attention when learning (1,58 minutes), when make an attention to the material (1,5 minutes), and when doing the material or work of learning (2,9 minutes). Results show, modification in the way of learning and environment have a positive contribution to increase subject's attention of learning process at school and home.Key words: attention, modification in the way of learning and environment

Abstract

Strategic hope-focused marital enrichment is on brief marital enrichment program with an eclectic approach that focused on increasing love, faith and the importance of working together as a couple to motivate couple in increasing their relationship's quality (Jakubowski, Milne, Brunner, and Miller,2004). The program improved marital relationship, communication, maritalsatisfaction(Worthington Jr., Hight, Ripley, etal, 1997) and overall quality of life (Buchard, Yarhouse, Killian, Worthington Jr., 2003). Rumondor (2010) had adopted the program on newlywed-couples that experienced dating before. This research is to test the effetivity of the program to three ta'aruf-married couples in their beginning phase of marriage. The participants attended four sessions for about a month. The quality of marital adjustment is measured by Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS), developed by Spanier (1976). The average total score of DAS in three couples showed an increasing on marital adjustment quality at the end of the program. The program increases dyadic consensus, dyadic satisfaction and affectionai expression meanwhile does not show any difference on dyadic cohesion.Keywords: Marital enrichment, marital adjustment, beginning phase of marriage, ta'aruf

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effectivity of SEFT in reducing the anxiety of the parents with child sexual abuse. SEFT is especially imposed on the anxiety symptoms which can be consciously felt by the research subject. The subjects are two parents, who have children experiencing sexual abuse.The research used pre-experimental design; One-shoot case study.The SEFT treatment was given to reduce the anxiety symptoms.Based on the interview and observation results, the anxiety symptoms were decreased after the given intervention.Keywords: SEFT, Anxiety, Parents with child sexual abuse

Abstract

The purpose of this research was toempiricallyexamine the effect of optimism thinking training to increase future orientation of adolescence with disability. Respondents of this research was 16 teenagers who follow the pravocational program in YPAC Surakarta. Respondents divided into two groups: the experimental group consist of 8 person within treatment and the control group consist of 8 person without treatment. The method in this research was experimental pretest - posttest control group design with random assignment. The material which presented in the optimism thinking training was optimism, internal dialogue, the ABC model, explanatory style, disputation, and energizer. The results of data analysis showed that the optimism thinking training was significantly increase the future orientation of adolescence with disability. Except reconstructing cognitive skill, the respondents of this research also able to made the future design more detailed and realistic which appropriate with their self-capacity. Keywords : Optimism Thinking, Future Orientation, Disability

Abstract

The study examined the effectiveness of emotion regulation training to reduce criminal policeman's work stress. This study used a pretest-posttest control group design. The participants were 13 criminal policemen from two different police stations, namely Polda X and Polsek Y. They were men and women aged between 20 - 50 years old, and classified into two groups. One group (n = 6) received emotion regulation training as the experimental group and the other (n = 7) as controlled group (waiting list). Participants were assessed using work stress scale that had been adapted from Abras (2012) research. The result showed that there was a significant difference in the implementation of posttest between the experimental and control group. By using mann whitney, the result concluded that emotion regulation training was significantly effective to reduce work stress of criminal policeman (Z = -2,006, p = 0,045, where p < (0,05).Key words : work stress, emotion regulation training

Abstract

This research is an experimental research aiming to understand whether strengths based cognitive behavioral therapy effectively improving resilience on adolescence orphanage. The subjects of this research were 15 adolescence orphanage from Sleman district who had a low to moderate level of resilience. Those 15 adolescence orphanage were divided into two groups, seven subjects from Orphanage X as the experimental group and other subjects from orpahange Y as the control group. The modules used for the training are based on four step of strengths based cognitive behavioral therapy of Padesky and Mooney (2012). This research used resilience scale adapted by researcher based on the original scale of resilience (Connor and Davidson, 2003). The data analysis of the research used independent sample t test method. The result showed that the strengths based cognitive behavioral therapy is effective to improve adolescence orphanage resilience. Abstract

This experiment examines the influence of interpersonal communication training in improving self efficacy as a trainer among college students. The hypothesis was that there is a significant difference in self efficacy of a trainer between the experimental and control group. There is also significant difference in self efficacy of a trainer among participants in experimental group between pre and post experiment. The participants of this experiment are college students with age ranging from 21 to 23 years old. The design of this experiment was Pretest Posttest with Control Group Design. A measure of self efficacy was developed by using aspect from Bandura (1997). The training module was developed on the basis ofHardjana Theory (2003). Data were analyzed using gain score method. The result shows that there is a difference in self efficacy of a trainer between experimental and control group (t= 16.989; p<0.01). This means that the interpersonal communication training show influences in increasing self efficacy of a trainer. An experiment group data analysis shows that there is a difference in self efficacy phor and after the training (t= -16.819; p<0.01). The result of this experiment confirmed the hypothesis.Keywords: interpersonal communication, self efficacy, trainer.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the effect of self-regulation group counseling for subjects with Compulsive Buying Disorder. The research method was Quasi-experimental, One-group pretest-posttest design. Analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. Subjects consist of three, with the criteria are students in college, women, have compulsive buying disorder, and in medium category for self-regulation. The results of this research after 5 group-counseling sessions are: the counselee 1 (AP) and counselee 3 (MM) show that they get self-regulation increased scores, but the criteria still exist in the medium category. Counselee 2 (ABF) show that her self-regulation increased scores, with increased category of the category of medium to high category. Key words: self-regulation, compulsive buying, group-counseling.

Abstract

Ttiis experiment examined the influence of spiritual intelligence training on student college anxiety that enrolls undergraduate studies. The hypothesis was that there is a significant anxiety level difference between experimental and control group.The subjects of this experiment were Student College with age ranging from 22 26 years old. The design of this experiment was Pretest Posttest with Control Group Design. A measure of student anxiety was developed by using aspects from Nevid (2003). The training module was developed on the basis of Emmons Theory (Hendrawati, 2004).Data were analyzed using gain score method. The result show that there is an anxiety level difference between experimental and control group ff =- 3,732. p = 0,003, p<0,05). 77ms means that the spiritual intelligence training show influence in decreasing student anxiety. An experiment group data analysis show that there is an anxiety difference prior and after the training (t=-16.819; p<0.01). The result of this experiment confirmed the hypothesis.Keyword: spiritual intelligence training, anxiety
