Abstract

As a social creature, egocentricism nature of any child of kindergarten age needs encouragement and assisstance so as not to hinder the socialization process of the child in the future. In respect of the evidence, this research is attempted to measure the effectiveness of outbond program in establishing the social-emotional skill of kindergarten age children. The finding drawn from observation shows that the development of social-emotional skill of the students of TK Sekolah Alam Bandung is tentatively better than those from coventional ones. The analysis brings about results that social and emotional behaviour of the students of TK Sekolah Alam Bandung develop well by their ability to realize their feelings athough they can not yet controle them. Outbond program is able to develop emotional and social skill of the kindergarten age children. This research then recommend outbond program for kindergarten students. Key words : outbound program, social and emotional skill development, kindergarten age children

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) to identify the students reading comprehension skill at SMP 2 Tanon, (2) to depict the obstacles in learning reading comprehension of the students of SMP 2 Tanon, and (3) to describe the implementation of CIRC method in improving students reading comprehension skill at SMP N 2 Tanon. This research is conducted under Class Action Research design with two cycles in the first semester term 2010/2011. The subjects of this research are the IXth C graders. Data collecting techniques are observation, interview and documentation, which are then analyzed under qualitative method. The results of the analysis shows that CIRC method is sufficiently effective to improve students achievement in reading comprehension. The indicators are: (1) the students achievement develops significantly, (2) the learining activities become more interactive, which can be seen through the warm discussion conducted in classes, where students share ideas within and among groups (3) the teacher controls the whole learning process intesively. Abstract

This  research  serves  an analysis  as to empirically   explain  the implementation    of School Operational Grant  (BOS)  for books from government and  its relevance   towards  the teachers creativeness in writing   books  and  modules.   School  Operational   Grant  for books  is intended    to  ease   students’ parents   in  providing    books   for  their children.Teachers, as the front-liners for the students learning development, are attempted to creatively provide the  sufficient learning  resources, one of which is done by  arranging    subject modules.    The   teachers    are  obliged   for  arrangement    of  learning modules,   because  through  the modules  they can render  creativeness and material   development   for students  based  on the development   of the  market  share  and lack of teachers works.Under  empirical  observation  done by the researcher,  it is found that the School Operational  Grant for books arises dilemma for teachers and public  in terms that  1) teachers  face difficulties  to distribute  their works/modules   in substitution  for books from BOS, 2) the demand  for teachers    modules   and books  becomes   students   parents  burden,  3) the distribution   of the grant books which needs very  strict supervision from  the authority.Key terms:  BOS for books,  teachers   creativeness

Abstract

The children’s attitude in praying against Allah is affected by the nurturing pattern of their parents and individualization method in kindergarten. If children are nurtured under dialogical pattern and individualized method in class, they will develop the positive attitude on praying against Allah. This research is attempted to identify the interrelationship among those variables above. Under a statistic analysis of t-test, the researcher finds that: 1) the dialogical nurturant pattern of parents has positive effect on the attitude on praying by Fo>Ft (38.55 > 4.11) under 0.05 of significant value. 2) the dialogical nurturant pattern and individualized method in class have significant effect on the attitude on praying by Fo>Ft ( 33.33>4.11) under 0.05 significant value. 3)  the dialogical nurturant pattern and individualized method in class show interaction against the attitude on praying by Fp>Ft (6.32>4.11) under 0.05 significant value.Key words:    dialogical nurturant pattern, individualized method, children’ attitude on praying.

Abstract

The study examined the relationship of conformity, self-esteem, and aggressiveness. Research subjects were 76 middle adolescents ages 16 to 18 years (16 males and 22 females). Data of aggressiveness obtained from the aggressiveness scale. Data of conformity obtained from the conformity scale. Data of self-esteem obtained from self-esteem scale. The results of regression analysis of conformity and self-esteem R = 0.325, F = 2.130, p = 0.126 (p> 0.01). Conformity and self-esteem variables simultaneously is not associated with adolescent aggressiveness. The results of partial conformity test t = -1.888, p = 0.063 (p> 0.05). Conformity variables in isolation is not related to aggressiveness. The results of partial self-test t = -1.061, p = 0.292 (p> 0.05). Variable self-esteem in isolation is not related to aggressiveness.Keywords: aggression, conformity, self-esteem

Abstract

Folktales which had become favourable choice for children to enjoy mainly before sleep are now undergoing degradation, even they become strange things and of ignorance for them. They do not need them anymore in the replacement of play stations, VCD players, and the likes. Inspite of children’s ignorance against folktales, they fully contain moral values which are needed for our next generation to manage themselves better in leading the world. For this reason, folktales educationally need to be transformed and nurtured to children. In line with the progress of information technology, folktales can be packed in such a way to attract youngsters still in regard to the essence of their moral contents. The package of folktales can be in the forms of novels, comic-strips, film-strips, pictures, or electronic cinema which in turn can be served for children through educational centres, suveniers, students’ stationaries. The role of the government is not to mention important in support of the implementation of them to children through its budget or legal hands to in-built curriculum.Kata kunci: Dongeng/Cerita, Pendidikan

Abstract

The research is served to identify : (1) the significance of discussion method started by giving the question and the assignment, (2) the difference between higher and lower level of student ability in solving problem of Physics , (3) the interaction of using discussion method started by giving questions and assignments, and student ability in problem solving of Physics, to Physic learning achievement in Thermodynamics.This Research was conducted from May 2008 to June 2008, using experiment method. The population is all students of grade XI SMA Negeri Mojogedang Karanganyar. The sample is assigned to two out of all classes, those are: IPA I as Experiment I class and IPA II as experiment II class. The data were collected using test, documentation and observation. The data was analyzed under two ways anova constructively served by Minitab 15 software.The data analysis results in conclusions that: (1) there is a significant difference of using discussion method started by giving questions and assignments, (2) there is a difference between higher and lower level student ability in problem solving of Physics, (3) there is interaction of using discussion method started by giving the question and the assignment, student ability in problem solving of Physics to learning achievement in Physics. Following Anova test results in conclsion that discussion method started by giving the assignments is tentatively more effective than that started by giving the questions. The high student ability in problem solving of Physics also gives the better influence.Key words  :  Discussion Method, Problem solving of Physics

Abstract

Emotional maturity of an individual sticks and grows in line with his/her physical growth, including that of Secondary School students. Their emotional development can be viewed through general activities they conduct. There are some factors which assumptively promote their emotional maturity, but they can be mainly grouped into two categories, i.e. internal and external ones. The internal factors can be sub-grouped into physical and psychological ones. Physical factor develops in line with the age, where the older they are, the better their body builds are. The psychological development will none theless follows this physical growth, so as to become more emotionally mature. One of the external factor which can influence the development of thei emotional maturity is the school counceling practice. The main school counceling practice serves problem solving in the area of students individual conduct in relation to others. The school counceling office is in charge of assisting the students emotional development to reach their emotional maturity.Key words: Social-individual Counceling, Emotional Maturity

Abstract

This research serves an analysis to prove the relevance of the score of National Standardized Test towards the achievement in Dasar-Dasar Akuntansi subject for the students of Accounting Department Study Program, IKIP PGRI Madiun. The population of this research cover the students of Accounting Department Study Program, semester one, term 2006/2007. Data resources of this research consist of documents taken from records of students’ standardized national test score and academic achievement record.The data are then analyzed under the statistic analysis of correlation product moment formulae by the significant rate of 95 which results in operating r of 0.279 less than table r of 0.361. This shows that the score of standardized national scores do not make any significance on the achievement in the subject of Dasar-Dasar Akuntansi I of the students of IKIP PGRI Madiun, in the way that the alternative hypothesis is rejected.Key Terms : UAN score, Achievement, Basic Accounting

Abstract

The graduation ratio of Electronics I subject passes 95% and more than 75% of the studentsget B. The Electronics I subject, which mainly discusses diode and transistor, has become the prerequisite one for the next Electronics II containing underlying theories for the advanced apllication of them. It is prdicted that the students have perceiveda strong basis for the understanding of Electrobics II materials. This assumption leads to an idea of developing the students independence in learning Electronics II subject. The strategy is taken up by giving independent tasks so as to present them before the class. The students’ proficiency can be noted from the discussion process. The result of analysis shows that the students can achieve good result almost without lecturers assistence. In each of presentation, 80% of the arising problems can be resolved well without lectrer’s assistence, which then means that the students independence can be achieved under this learning technique. The pasasing grade of the subject can be proudly acheived by 98.72% of the students. Out of 78 students, 8 of them (10.26%) get A, 59% of them (76.92%) get B, and 10 of them (12.82%) get C, and 1 student (1.28) gets D. The overall achievement shows that independent learning can be built upon presentation technique.Keywords: discussion, independent learning, acheivement
