Abstract

Abstract

The objective of this study is to create augmented reality flashcards for teaching heat and thermodynamics to 11th grade students. These flashcards will be used in the classroom during learning sessions for 11th grade science students. The work was executed utilizing the Alessi and Trollip methodology, which encompasses the stages of planning, design, and development. The data were obtained by means of expert validation and a response questionnaire. The findings indicated that the material had a validity rate of 92% and fell into the category of being highly valid. Similarly, the media had a validity rate of 86.95% and also fell into the highly valid category. Therefore, the product gets a validity rating of 89.47% and falls into a very valid category. The practicality score during the first stage of the beta test was 89.2%, with a specific focus on the practical category and a sample size of 4 students. In the second stage of the beta test, the practicality score decreased to 86.27%, with the same focus on the practical category but with a larger sample size of 10 students. The teacher's answer to the practical category yielded a score of 87%. Therefore, the flashcard product utilizing augmented reality for the subject of heat and thermodynamics in the 11th grade of high school could be used for learning purposes.

This research employed a mixture of quantitative and qualitative research methods with the Alessi & Trollip development model of planning, design, and development. The subjects of this study were 37 students of management major  at  MDP  University. The  trial  design  in  this  study  used a  one-group  pretest  and posttestdesign. This  research's  datacollection  techniques  are  interviews,  observations,  tests,  and questionnaires.  The  researchers utilizedinterviews,  observations,  tests,  and  questionnaires to analyzethe data. The research analysison the development of teaching materials can be described as: (1) its validity has been tested after being tested through 3 experts carried out in stages, with an  assessment of  93.33%.  (2) its  practicality has  been tested  on threestudents byfilling  out  a questionnaire. Itis obtained an efficient evaluation(91.66%) for each assessor. Thisweb-based teaching material can be used as online collaborative learningby getting an efficient assessment. (3) effectively increaseslearning outcomes between the pretest and posttestscores. In the pretest, the score was dominated in the very poor category, while in the posttest, the score was dominated in the good enough category. Itwas considered effective, reflected in the N-gain score of 56.49% in the medium category

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the needs of electronic modules (E-Modules) based on multi-representation using Flipbook PDF Professional. At this stage, researchers made observations and collected data on teaching materials at SDN 146 Palembang. This research uses a questionnaire with qualitative data types as the data collection. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis with data reduction, data presentation, conclusion, and verification. The data that needs to be analyzed by researchers are data regarding the use of the types of teaching materials used, the implementation of learning, the evaluation system, and the factors that support it. Based on the questionnaire data, 46.7% of students thought the learning material for theme 3, sub-theme 1, which discussed inventors who changed the world, could have been more interesting. Students stated this because 73.3% answered that no exciting teaching materials could make the material easily understood by students. Furthermore, based on the distribution of needs analysis questionnaires related to the e-module teaching materials to be developed, students with a percentage of 76.7% answered that they needed teaching materials that contained images, text, video, and audio or sound. E-Modules can be an alternative in developing teaching materials to support improving the quality of learning.

Abstract

Augmented reality-assisted digital flashcards on doppler effect and polarisation materials that are valid and practical have been successfully developed. This research uses Rowntree's development procedure which consists of three stages: planning stage, development stage and evaluation stage. The evaluation stage in this study uses Tessmer's formative evaluation stage which consists of stages: self evaluation, expert review, one to one evaluation, and small group evaluation. Data collection techniques used walkthroughs and questionnaires. The validity level of this digital flashcard was assessed by three experts, namely material aspect experts, digital flashcard design aspect experts, and augmented reality design aspect experts. The results of the digital flashcard expert validation test at the expert review stage obtained data on the material aspect of 97.75% with a very valid category, the digital flashcard design aspect of 95.75% with a very valid category, and the augmented reality design aspect of 81.5% with a valid category. While the teacher's response was 94.67%, at the one to one evaluation stage an average rating of 86% was obtained in the practical category. At the small group evaluation trial stage, the average assessment result was 87% with a very practical category. Thus, digital flashcards assisted by augmented reality on Doppler effect and polarisation material are declared valid and practical.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This article will focus on the validity criteria, with the aim of this research being to assess the extent to which the physics learning media specific to the parabolic motion subtheme in the form of videos developed can be considered valid. Methodology: This study used research and development (R&D) with the Alessi and Trollip model. The data collection technique was carried out through a validation sheet instrument conducted by 5 expert validators. The development of learning videos was carried out for class XI Senior High School 22 Palembang. Main Findings: The assessment of the content aspect of the material resulted in a CVI value of 0.93. Furthermore, the evaluation of the media presentation aspect attained a CVI score of 1, and the validation of the productivity and innovation aspects of the material also scored 1. Since the CVI scores are all at 1, it can be inferred that the instructional video created is both valid and appropriate for educational purposes. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research makes a real contribution in answering the needs of modern learning with the STEM approach and AI technology. The results of this media validation are expected to be a reference for further research and become an inspiration for educators in developing innovative learning media.

Abstract

The rapid development of technological advances has changed the paradigm in education, especially in learning innovation. This service aims to improve the quality of teachers in designing and making products in the form of animated videos. The technological innovation guided in this service is to produce animated videos as learning media. Participatory Action Research (PAR) is a method used in the implementation of service activities with stages: 1) giving an initial test, 2) service implementation activities, 3) evaluation and reflection stages, and 4) then giving the final test. The target participants of the service activities were the MGMP teacher community of science subjects in Palembang City. Based on the data obtained, there is an increase in test results with an N-gain of 0.56 which is included in the moderate category. Based on the above results, the training participants strongly agreed that this service activity could improve the skills and insights of teachers in making animated videos as science learning media
