Abstract

In principle, research is considered as an important thing in the realm of academics, especially for students and lecturers. However, in the reality, it is still easily found that many academia encounter difficulties in conducting research, especially in the field of Islamic education in which its paradigm is different compared to others. The purpose of this present study is to investigate the Islamic paradigm in research methodology and its implication for Islamic Education studies. This study employed a qualitative approach and literature review method. The collected data were analyzed thoroughly using a descriptive analysis method and in the same time, the writer also elaborated as well as provided understanding and explanation proportionally. Based on the results of the discussion, it is obvious that the Islamic paradigm appeared to be different from the paradigm developed by the western world in research methodology. The Islamic paradigm considers that science is not value-free. In addition, the Islamic paradigm has a special characteristic which is different from other paradigms. As a result, a researcher puts Islam as a fundamental paradigm in conducting research on Islamic Education and it in fact has implications for the research processes from the beginning to the end of the research, in relation to research intentions, finding problems, formulating the background of the research problems, formulating research problems, research objectives, research benefits, research theories, and research methodology. In particular, research methodology in this case covers bayani, burhani, tajribi, and 'irfani method. Similarly, all the processes covering data processing, data analysis, conclusions, research publication, research facilities, and all necessary things related to the research should always be associated with the commands and prohibitions as well as permission of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.

Abstract

Family is the first and foremost environment for a human child. In the family a child is raised, learns the ways of association that he will develop later in the social life environment that is outside the family. In simple terms it can be argued that the function of the family is to stabilize the family situation in the sense of stabilizing the family's economic situation. Then the family functions also educate and maintain the physical and psychological family, including religious life. Here the role of parents, especially mothers, is very influential on the development of the child. Family education is called primary education because in this environment all human potential is formed and partially developed. There are even some potentials that have developed in family education. Children will grow up to be characterless individuals if they can grow in a characteristic environment, so that the nature of every child born holy can develop optimally. Character education must start from the family to build a noble national personality. To achieve the child's character expected by parents, parenting given by the family to children is closely related to the character of the child in his growth and development. These characters will be carried to adulthood even if they form their own family. On the contrary, family failure in shaping children's character will result in the growth of a society that has no character. Therefore, every family must have an awareness that the formation of children's character is very dependent on character education at home. Furthermore, Megawangi (2003) mentions that there are at least three basic children's needs that must be met, namely maternal bonding, security, and physical and mental stimulation

Abstract

This study examined the importance of character education in an Islamic college, especially today or which was more popular with the term of a milenial generation. The first and foremost goal of an education is the formation of students’ character (college students). Religion theory states that the goal of human moral development is the mission of religion itself, in accordance with the purpose of the Prophet Muhammad’s sending to this earth. A character education is a conscious and planned effort to instill values so that those values are internalized in the college students and to produce a good behavior or in the religious language is often called as Muhsin. Therefore, a character education is essentially an education which seeks to instill and spread virtues or in this case a Rahmatan Lil’alamin. This research was a literature review (library research) which was sourced from the library materials using a qualitative approach. Thus, the research activity was an exploration of a number of data both primary and secondary with several concrete steps such as reading and in-depth studying the primary data such as books of the research results, theses or dissertations related to the character education and Islamic education. Character education for college students is needed because all this time students are only preoccupied with lecture materials in the classroom, but lack of attention to the meaning and value behind the process it self.

Abstract

The success of the study program (Prodi) as a work unit in higher education is largely determined by the quality of services provided, where quality services can be identified through the satisfaction of service users, in this case students. Academic problems that are often encountered are related to the presence of lecturers in teaching. This academic service is also one of the usual problems faced by students in the teaching and learning process. For example, often the inaccuracy of the lecturer is present or completed in the teaching and learning process and that of course makes students uneasy and has to wait more than the hours specified by the study program. In addition, there is no maximum availability of facilities and infrastructure to support the learning process, such as a minimal LCD and when used as a projector in teaching it is damaged so the lecture process is slightly hampered. The formulation of the problem of this research is, How is the academic service provided by the PAI FITK Study Program UIN Raden Fatah Palembang? What are the constraints of academic service in the PAI FITK Study Program UIN Raden Fatah Palembangin? order to improve the quality of academic services? This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used in this study: observation, interviews, and documentation. This study uses qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques that describe, describe, and explain the data obtained from the results of the study, then concluded as a result of the analysis. Abstract

This paper reveals that the unification between various kinds of science is very important for scientific development itself. The union between the science of religion and science is a new breakthrough for existing science. However, the application is still lacking in a more productive domain. UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta is a pioneer of Educational Institutions that implement integration and interconnection in their environment. There are various kinds that can be seen, namely the curriculum, teaching staff and even the building. The existence of openness between one knowledge and another makes it a continuous flow of knowledge and influence between one another. Therefore, applying scientific integration and interconnection needs to be applied in other educational institutions in both higher education institutions and primary, secondary and upper education institutions to formal and non-formal educational institutions. This aims to dismantle the wall of scientific dichotomy which still shackles existing scientific developments. The concept of integration-interconnection is illustrated in the "Theoantropocentric-Integralistic Spider Web of Science in State Universities" which is often called a web spider. The purpose of the web spider is essentially the inter-knowledge between one and the other interlocking (integration-interconnection). The ethos and breath of the scientific epistemology reintegration of the UIN era were developed, there are three things, including Hadarah al-Nash (buffer of Bayani text culture), Hadarah al-lmIlm (technique, communication) and Hadarah al-Falsafah (ethics). The three breaths are used as a reference for the UIN scientific field and a foothold in developing it.

Abstract

Indonesia is the biggest archipelago country in the world, the government has tried to prosper the people by issuing policies on regional autonomy. Regional autonomy in its development is widespread in all fields, one of them in education. Autonomy Education gained much support among the people, thus giving birth to Decentralization of Education, namely to give up government responsibility according to the needs and capabilities of each region. The effort has been regulated in Law Number 20 Year 2003 on National Education System supported by Government Regulation no. 55 of 2007. However, these efforts have not been fully realized, so that sometimes cause gap and prolonged criticism. Therefore we as a policy-bearer must prioritize the principle good governance in Decentralization of Education. The religious and religious education policies contained in Government Regulation No. 55 of 2007 are intended to help realize the goals of education in Indonesia, giving the right of autonomy in the form of decentralization of education to each school in each region to manage the institution. If the school is religious based, it is given the freedom to manage according to the teachings of the religion. But to realize this policy requires strong observers and willing to act, the principle of autonomy, flexibility, participatory and initiative can be used as a basis in realizing these goals as a whole.

Abstract

It turns out that emotional intelligence that is not ready will hinder in accepting the chase from the teacher, this article intends to present a way of knowing how to process the emotional intelligence of students. Emotion is a person's ability to recognize and understand themselves and others. Emotions are used in establishing interpersonal relationships as well. For this reason, the emotions, especially in the education system are able to facilitate the achievement of values conveyed in the educational process which cannot be separated from the interaction between students and educators or with other students. In the perspective of neuroscience, emotional intelligence is produced by the frontal cortex where there is a meeting of emotions. Cognition is regulated by the limbic system. Each of these structures also has different functions. Therefore, maximizing each function contained in the human brain including emotional functions should be applied in the learning system. It turns out that emotional intelligence readiness is needed in accepting learning, making it easier to receive material delivered by an educator. The virtue or excellence of a teacher in learning emotions in PAI learning in the perspective of neuroscience is that students become happy to learn. Joy arises because brain-based learning is able to activate the brain when it starts learning like a light switch on the "on" position, which means it's ready for the brain's memory to be ready.
