Abstract

This research aimed to examine the application of the problem-based learning model with PhET to students' self-efficacy and physics learning outcomes at SMA Negeri Pakusari, especially in light waves. This research is an experimental study with a pretest and posttest control group design. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling technique and obtained samples, namely the control and experimental classes. Self-efficacy data was collected through a questionnaire consisting of 9 statements, while the learning outcomes data were viewed from the cognitive domain through tests in the form of pretest and posttest. The test consists of eight multiple choice questions and four essay questions. Analysis of self-efficacy data and learning outcomes using the T-test sig value. Obtained is less than 0.05. Thus, it is concluded that there is a significant influence in applying problem-based learning models with PhET media on self-efficacy and student learning outcomes in high school

Abstract

This study aims to measure the effectiveness of the Qur'an integrated worked example vector to increase the value of spiritual characters seen from the partial eta square in the Anava Mixed Design - General Linear Model (GLM). This type of research is quantitative research with experimental research methods. The research design used was the Pretest-Posttest Mixed Design with the experimental group - control. The samples used were 20 students each in both groups. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. The test instrument used was a spiritual character score test of 20 multiple choice questions that were validated by 3 expert judgments in the field of character education, 2 physics lecturers, 1 religion lecturer, and 4 colleagues and obtained Aiken's V score of 0.83 with the category very good. Empirical tests were also carried out to see the level of reliability and feasibility of the item questions. A total of 185 students were involved. The reliability result is 0.97 with a very high category and 20 questions are suitable for use based on the output of the QUEST program. The results showed that there was a significant improvement difference between the control and experimental classes, where the worked example was able to increase the value of spiritual characters with an effectiveness of 61% based on the partial eta square output in the experimental class while in the control group an effectiveness of 10 percent was obtained.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia has caused various learning changes that initially used the direct learning process to become distance learning. In this research, the researcher aims to implement e-learning through introductory physics lectures in the physics education study program for prospective science teachers. The type of research used is experimental research with a one-shot case study research design. The sample in the research is a candidate for science teacher in semester 1 (one) in the physics education study program as many as 40 students. This study uses an instrument in the form of a self-regulated learning instrument with 19 questions. The results of this study indicate that the SRL indicator is independence from others as much as 73%, 70% of students in the indicator of self-confidence, 68% behave in a disciplined manner, 68% have a sense of responsibility, the ability to control themselves is 77%, and the percentage is 79 % behave on their initiative. The application of e-learning can provide opportunities for prospective science teacher students to develop and improve Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) in the basic physics lecture process. This research implies an alternative choice of learning that can be applied in basic physics lectures to support student learning independence.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of using google classroom on students' mastery of physics concepts through the discovery learning model. The method used in this research is a Pre-Experimental Design with the type of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were students of class X MIPA at SMA Negeri 3 Tangerang. Sampling technique using simple random sampling. As an experimental class, the sample used was 72 students in classes X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 2. The instrument used was an essay question instrument with 10 questions. Then the data were analyzed and tested using the F-test. The hypothesis test results obtained Fcount = 45,709 and Ftabel = 3,98, and it can be concluded that Fcount>Ftable. So it can be concluded that the null hypothesis is rejected, in other words accepting the alternative hypothesis which states that there is a significant effect of using Google Classroom on students' mastery of physics concepts through the discovery of learning model.

Abstract

The 21st century learning requires students to have 4C skills in addition to understanding students' concepts. However, students' 4C skills and understanding of concepts in physics are still relatively low and there are still many misconceptions and the unavailability of teaching materials that can improve students' 4C abilities and conceptual understanding. This study aims to create a valid cognitive conflict-based interactive multimedia design to improve students' 4C skills and understanding of the concept of gas kinetic theory. This type of research is a development/design research using the Plomp model and this research is limited to the prototyping stage. At the preliminary research stage, it was found that in the range of 25% - 43% of students experienced misconceptions ,and in the range of 18% - 55% of students didn,t understand the concept.. In the development and prototyping stages of designing interactive multimedia, the interactive multimedia designs that have been made are carried out with self evaluation has been carried out with a very valid result of 0.96 and an expert review with a very valid result of 0.82. the result shown the conflict-based interactive multimedia can be used to improve student understanding of 4C abilities and conceptual understanding.

Abstract

CZTS (Cu2ZnSnS4) is a readily available, cost-effective, and non-toxic material that uses as a material for absorbing coatings on solar cells. This study aims to examine making CZTS using the Ball-milling method. This method uses a cylindrical grinding machine to reduce coarse materials into more delicate fabrics. The CZTS synthesis process using ball-milling produces better results than other non-sputtering methods. In addition, the synthesis of CZTS using ball-milling can increase the yield of better solar cells. However, in ball-milling, there are still shortcomings, one of which is the presence of heterogeneous elements after the synthesis.

Abstract

Corn cobs contains 40-45% cellulose, 30-35% hemicellulose, and 10-20% lignin, while corn cobs ash contains more than 60% silica with small amounts of metal elements. Silica in corn cob powder can be isolated thermally and nonthermally. Nonthermally silica can be separated with HCl. This research was conducted to isolate silica from corncobs using HCl with variations in calcination temperature and holding time. The silica obtained was then characterized by bonding and its structure using infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The steps taken were preparing the tools and materials, then preparing the corncob powder, and then preparing silica with HCL and FTIR, as well as data processing and analysis. This study concludes that corncob powder produces silica by isolating it using HCL at 70 ºC  for 3 hours and calcining at 800 ºC with a holding time of 4 hours. Based on its FTIR characterization, samples soaked in HCL at 70 ºC  resulted in absorption caused by several factors, including single NH, CH, OH, triple bonds, double bonds, and single bonds. This is reinforced by the FTIR results, where the peaks are in regions 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Abstract

The nation's current generation must master 21st-century skills, including critical thinking skills, to face today's world competition with rapid technological advances. This contextual STEAM-based electrical KIT aims to describe students' necessary thinking abilities and discover the differences in critical thinking abilities between the experimental and control classes. The design used in the study, namely the post-test-only control group and the type of quasi-experimental research. This study included all class IX students of SMP Muhammadiyah Kuok TA.2022/2023 as a population. A sample of 47 students consisted of class IX.1 as the experimental group and category IX.2 as the control group. Posttest critical thinking skills in dynamic electricity material comprised 12 multiple choice questions previously tested for validity and reliability as a data collection instrument. The average posttest results of students' critical thinking skills were used for descriptive analysis with SPSS version 25, and normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis tests were used for inferential analysis. This study shows that students' critical thinking skills regarding dynamic electricity material can be improved by applying contextual STEAM-based electricity KIT contextual learning. This can be seen in the average value obtained in the experimental class is better than the control class.
