Abstract

Consumers of two-wheeled vehicles in Indonesia continue to increase every year. This encourages manufacturers of two-wheeled vehicles to meet consumer needs by making vehicles in a timely manner. The biggest problem in two-wheel manufacturing companies is mainly the amount of delivery delay with a percentage of 67 percent originating from the line welding robot so that shipments to customers are not met. The purpose of this study is to improve production by applying the value stream mapping system. In the initial stage, cycle time, transportation time and lead time are analyzed. Next is the identification of waste that occurs on the Mainstand 2SD line for improvement using relayout.  After improvement, relayout lead time fell from 12 days to 6 days or down 50 percent. After improvement, production results have not reached the target with an average of 22.18 parts per hour while the target of 24 parts per hour is equivalent to the average yield of 7220.60 parts per month while the target is 8184 parts per month which means achieving the target of 94 percent.

Abstract

The warehouse is one part of the supply chain that plays an important role in PT. Garuda Maintenance Facility (GMF), because the warehouse stores the components of the material used for aircraft maintenance activities. However, a number of problems in the warehouse caused the process in the warehouse to be less than optimal. The purpose of this study was to analyze the potential for improvement of warehousing management at PT. GMF. In the early stages, fishbone diagrams are used to identify the main causes of problems that occur in PT. GMF is related to five factors, namely the labor factor (man), method (method), material, machine (equipment), and environment. Furthermore, a failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) approach is implemented to get priority improvements. The results of the analysis found that the use of wireless technology, the application of capacity check functions and monitoring and training functions are needed to improve warehousing management at PT. Garuda Maintenance Facility.

Abstract

UD.

Abstract

Increasing consumer concern for environmental sustainability is getting bigger, with the issue of green marketing starting to shift from just as added value to being a priority. The emergence of the green consumer and the growing efforts to protect the environment, encourage the industry to consider the environmental impact caused by each of its activities. Industri screen printing is one of the manufacturing companies located in the Surya Cipta industrial area that produces Screen Printing products. In the process of making Screen Printing with one of the items produced, namely named sheet panel can not be separated from the main raw material and support that has chemical elements that have the potential to harm the environment. For this reason, it is necessary to do an evaluation and analysis to determine the value of the environmental impact produced by using the life cycle assessment and life cycle cost method with the support of simapro software so that the value of eco efficiency index (EEI) can be identified from sheet panel products. From this research, it is known that the value of each life cycle assessment and life cycle score is 58.1768704pt at a cost of USD USD 9389,1355 and the value of the eco efficiency index (EEI) sheet panel product is 0.3245, which means that the eco efficiency sheet is affordable but not environmentally friendly (not sustainable).
