Abstract

The partnership program between dairy farmers in Getasan district and Andini Luhur Cooperative needs to be followed up because it is considered unfavorable for farmers during the period of partnership. This study aimed to analyze the partnership activities and satisfaction level of dairy farmers in Getasan District in implementing partnerships with Andini Luhur Cooperative. This research was conducted in December 2019 to January 2020 in Getasan District, Semarang Regency. The location of the study was determined purposively with the consideration that Getasan District is the center of dairy cows in Semarang Regency. The research method used was surveying method. Determination of respondents was done by taking all dairy farmers in Getasan District who were in partnership with Andini Luhur Cooperative. Data collection methods used were interviews, questionnaires, and observations. Data analysis methods used were descriptive and quantitative analysis using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Consumer Satisfaction Index (CSI) methods. Based on the results, it was found that the type of partnership is contract farming with core-plasma pattern. The results of IPA shows that there are 1 attribute that is classified in Quadrant I (top priority), 2 attributes are classified in Quadrant II (maintained), 4 attributes are classified in Quadrant III ( low priority) and 3 attributes are classified in quadrant IV (excessive). From CSI calculations, the result obtained is 54.84%, which means farmers are quite satisfied with the performance of services provided by Andini Luhur Cooperative.

Abstract

The idea of smart city is an innovative well-developed city that uses information and communication technology to help people manage resources and provide information. Within this concept, Batu City Government provides Among Tani application facility for farmers. The application has been running for 3 years and is expected to help and increase farmers' incomes. The purpose of this study was to analyze education, interests, and farming experience with farmers' perceptions in increasing product sales using Among Tani applications and analyze the relationship between farmers' perceptions with the use of Among Tani applications in increasing sales of agricultural products. The time and location of the study were in December 2019 in the Junrejo Village of Batu City. Census sampling technique was used with the number of members of the Bagus farmer group as many as 60 people. The data analysis tool used was Spearman rank analysis and chi-square analysis. The variables used are education (X1), interests (X2), farming experience (X3), farmer perception (Y1) and Usage (Y2). The results of this study are 1) analysis using the Spearman rank shows that there is a relationship between interests and perceptions while there is no relationship between education with farming experience and 2) analysis using chi square shows there is a significant relationship between farmers' perceptions with the use of Among Tani applications in increasing agriculture product sales.

Abstract

Rice is the staple food of Indonesian people. In West Java, the price of rice in 2019 in the turn of the month increases gradually, therefore, more attention is needed regarding rice price stabilization. Price stabilization is an important dimension in contributing to social welfare stabilization. This study aimed to determine the factors that influence rice demand and consumers' willingness to pay for rice (Willingness to Pay) in West Java. The basic methods of this research were descriptive and analytical methods. The method of taking location was purposive and sampling was done by convenience sampling technique. Types of data and data sources were primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques by interview, observation and recording. Data analysis methods used included: (1) Descriptive Analysis Method; (2) Analysis of factors that influence demand by using Seemingly Unrelated Regression (SUR); (3) Willingness to Pay (WTP). The results showed that the price of rice had a positive effect on rice expenditure, yet had a negative effect on rice demand. While the number of family members has a positive effect on rice demand. Calculation of value (WTP) obtained Gross WTP value of IDR 4,315,638.26. The amount to be paid is IDR 243,635.85, the Net WTP value is IDR 4,072,002.41. When prices increase by 10%. then the welfare level decreased by -67.89%. Meanwhile, when prices fell by 10%, the welfare level increased by 61.10%.

Abstract

Potato is one of the vegetable commodities that are utilized by its tubers and have the potential to be developed, as is the case in Magetan Regency. This study aimed to analyze the costs, revenues, productivity, income, profits, efficiency, and profitability, as well as to compare the potato farming of Granola and Atlantic varieties. Location determination was done purposively with 100 respondents. The data used was quantitative data and the data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using Z distribution statistical tests at 95% confidence level (? 0.05). The results showed that the amount of granola potato farming costs was IDR 99,103,163 / ha / MT, revenue of IDR 158,310,720 / ha / MT, productivity of 22,590 kg / ha, income of IDR 101,857,730 / ha / MT, profit of Rp 59,207. 557 / ha / MT, efficiency 1.60 and profitability 0.60. While the cost of atlantic variety potato farming is IDR 97,332,514 / ha / MT, revenue is IDR 130,464,460 / ha / MT, productivity is 18,718 kg / ha, income is IDR 74,530,033 / ha / MT, profit is IDR 33,141,946 / ha / MT, efficiency 1.34 and profitability 0.34. There are differences in productivity, income, profits, efficiency, and profitability between the granola and atlantic varieties of potato farming. This research is expected to be an input for farmers to maximize the care of their farms so as to increase productivity, income, and profits of farmers.

Abstract

Dairy farmers need to know the risk management strategies in dairy cow milk production process to reach the optimal production and preventing decrease. Pangudi Mulyo Animal Husbandry Group is a farmer group that engaged in dairy cows business and makes dairy milk as its main product. This study aimed to identify risks and set priorities for handling and analyzing risk management strategies for dairy cow milk production. This research was conducted in December 2019-January 2020 in Pangudi Mulyo Animal Husbandry Group located in Randusari Hamlet, Nongkosawit Village, Gunungpati District, Semarang. The method used in this study was census method, by taking 33 active members of the Pangudi Mulyo Animal Husbandry Group. Data collection was carried out through observation and interviews according to the questionnaire. The data were analyzed using quantitative analysis with the House of Risk (HOR) Phase 1 and Phase 2 methods. The results shows that there were 17 risk events and 17 risk agents in HOR Phase 1 and there were 8 risk agents that needed handling based on the high value of Aggregate Risk Potential (ARP). There are identified 13 risk management strategies obtained from HOR phase 2 in accordance with the Effectiveness of Difficult (ETD) assessment of risk agents that need to be addressed.

Abstract

Palm oil is one of the important plantation commodities in Indonesia's economic activities. Palm oil plants require rejuvenation (replanting) due to the decreasing productivity that caused by the old age of the plants (more than 25 years). Replanting is an effort to replace old oil palm plantations to maximize the income. The function and role of the cooperative is needed to be involved in the management of oil palm replanting. Cooperatives are a common need for farmers to manage their plantations, especially those related to management, plants, and financial techniques. The objective of this research was to optimize the role of cooperatives in an effort to strengthen the oil palm replanting program in Landak Regency. 22 respondents were taken by purposive sampling. This research used descriptive analysis. Data analysis used was Rap-Rep palm oil (Rapid Appraisal Replanting of palm oil) from the modification of Rapfish with Microsoft Excel software. The results of the research show that the replanting technical dimension, human resource development, and supporting elements are not optimal. Sensitive attributes that influenced the cooperative optimization in oil palm replanting program in Landak Regency are (1) Funding; (2) Institutions (3) Land Requirements ; (4) Training in Financial Management and Administration (5) Post Harvest Processing Tools; (6) Pesticides and Alsintan.

Abstract

The consumer perceptions are interesting to be inspected because the perceptions of each consumer will vary even though they are in the same place and situation. This research aimed to determine consumer perceptions to the agro-tourism of red dragon fruit Palopat Maria in terms of service, facilities and attractiveness. The research method used was the case study method. The sampling method that used was accidental sampling with 30 respondents who came to Red Dragon Fruit Palopat Maria Agro-tourism. Furthermore, the data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that consumers gave a perception score of 4.13 for services, 3.19 for facilities, and 4.33 for attractiveness, it means that consumers gave good perceptions for services and facilities, also very good perceptions for the attractiveness of Red Dragon Fruit Palopat Maria Agro-tourism. The agro-tourism parties need to improve services such as employee uniforms and improve facilities such as providing directions to the agro-tourism location.

Abstract

The development of the agricultural sector into agro tourism is carried out to realize the desires of people who wish for educational and environment-friendly tourism activities. Omah Salak Agro Tourism provides a variety of reservation packages, culinary packages, and souvenirs of processed zalacca products. Consumer satisfaction to the services is an important factor to be considered. This study aimed to analyze visitor satisfaction with the quality of services including physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and care given by Omah Salak Agro Tourism. The study used a case study method with a sample size of 100 respondents. The sampling method used was purposive sampling technique. The measurement scale used was the Likert scale. Data analysis methods used were the customer satisfaction index (CSI), gap analysis, and importance performance analysis (IPA). The results of the analysis showed a CSI value of 77.44%, meaning that overall visitors were satisfied with the service performance at the Omah Salak Agro Tourism. The results of the gap analysis showed the performance <importance with a value of 3.87 <4.33, the average gab was -0.46, meaning that the Omah Salak Agro Tourism service has not met the wishes of the visitors. The results of the IPA analysis showed that the top priority attributes for the improvement of Omah Salak Agro Tourism are the availability of worship facilities, bathroom facilities, adequate parking facilities, timely events, friendly and courteous guides and company staff to make visitors feel safe

Abstract

The natural resources of hot salty springs can be used by farmers to produce salt. The salt farmer profession has not provided an economic improvement for the farmers themselves. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of capital structure, human resources and technology in increasing the income of salt farmers in Jono Village. The research method used in this study was qualitative descriptive approach. The data of this study were obtained from interviews, observations and documents. Data analysis usedin this study was an interactive model from Miles and Huberman, 2014. The study was carried out in Jono Village, Tawangharjo District, Grobogan Regency. The results of this study are the capital structure of salt farmers obtained from collectors and human resources from family labor which are still low. The technology used by salt farmers is still very traditional. The results of this study provide recommendations for improving the capital structure, quality of capital resources and technology to improve the economy of the salt farmers.
