Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial behavior of Gen Z in the use of Quick Response Indonesia Standard (QRIS) among students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram. The research method used was quantitative with a population of 3,070 active students from three undergraduate study programs: Accounting, Development Economics, and Management. The research sample was calculated using the Slovin formula and rounded up to 354 respondents. The results showed that the majority of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram have adaptive and pragmatic financial behavior through the use of QRIS. Students from the three study programs, namely Accounting, Development Economics, and Management, showed a high level of acceptance with very low resistance. Development Economics students showed the most superior response compared to other majors, reflecting a higher readiness and enthusiasm in adopting digital technology to manage daily financial transactions. This finding is in line with the characteristics of Generation Z who quickly adapt to technological innovation and the digitalization of financial transactions. The positive acceptance of students indicates that the use of QRIS can be promoted more widely as an efficient, secure, and practical digital payment method. In addition, the results of this study serve as a basis for universities and digital service providers to design socialization programs and implementation strategies that support modern, adaptive, and efficient student financial behavior

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transaction mechanism of Shopee PayLater, understand the concept of riba in islamic economics, identify riba elements in Shopee PayLater, and examine the perspective of syaria fatwas and regulations on the service. The method used is library research with a normative approach. Data were collected from scientific journals, books, DSN-MUI fatwas, and OJK offisial documents, then analyzed  using content analysis. The results show that the Shopee PayLater mechanims applies a service fee of 2,95% per month, a heandling fee of 1% and a late penalty of 5%, which contain elements of riba al-qardh and riba al-jahiliyyah. In addition, theree is an element of gharar due to unclear information on penalties. DSN-MUI fatwa  No. .116/DSN-MUI/IX/2017 recognizes the qardh contract in sharia electronic money, but fatwa No. 19/DSN-MUI/IV/2001 emphasizes that and additional fee stipulated at the beginning of the conctract constitutes riba and is haram.. from a regulatory perspective, OJK throught SLIK records defaulting users as blacklisted, preventing them from accessing other loans. The implication of this research provides a comprehensive understanding that Shopee PayLater does not comply with sharia princiiples due to the presence of riba and gharar.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the amanah principle in the use of Indonesian Smart Card for College (KIP-Kuliah) funds by Muslim students at the Medan State Polytechnic. The amanah principle is a fundamental value in Islamic teachings that emphasizes the importance of responsibility, integrity, and honesty in managing funds, including educational assistance funds. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, non-participatory observation, and documentation. The research informants were Muslim students receiving the KIP-Kuliah Islamic Finance and Banking Study Program, selected using purposive sampling. The results indicate that most students understand the importance of the amanah principle and strive to apply it in managing funds for academic needs. However, several obstacles were identified, such as the influence of a consumptive lifestyle, social pressure, and a lack of Sharia-based financial literacy, which impact optimal fund management. This evaluation emphasizes the importance of strengthening amanah values through Sharia-compliant financial training, character development, and more effective university oversight. This research is expected to provide evaluation material for program organizers and contribute to scientific research to strengthen the implementation of Islamic values in educational scholarship management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students financial management based on financial literacy, planning, financial recording, as well as the influence of social and spiritual values, with reference to QS Al-Isra’ 26–27. The study employs a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with five accounting students from various universities in Surabaya. Data were analyzed by identifying key themes related to financial literacy, recording practices, and the integration of social and spiritual values in personal financial management. The results show that most students possess a basic understanding of financial literacy but still face challenges in consistently applying financial planning and recording. Their sources of financial literacy information mostly come from social media platforms such as TikTok and YouTube. On the social dimension, some students set aside money for sharing with others, although not on a regular basis. Spiritual values also play an important role in financial management, encouraging students to be more cautious and to avoid wasteful spending. The findings indicate the need for more integrative financial literacy programs that combine practical approaches with the internalization of social and spiritual values, enabling students to manage their finances more wisely, responsibly, and in a well-planned manner

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the digital marketing strategies implemented by Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) and examine their implications for Islamic financial inclusion in Indonesia. This research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from BSI annual reports, publications of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bank Indonesia reports, and relevant scientific literature related to digital marketing and Islamic financial inclusion. Data were analyzed using content analysis through the processes of data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and source triangulation. The findings indicate that BSI has implemented various digital marketing strategies through social media, official websites, BSI Mobile, QRIS, BSI Agen, and Islamic financial education content. These strategies contribute to improving Islamic financial inclusion through four dimensions, namely access, usage, quality, and trust. Digital marketing expands public access to information, strengthens Islamic financial literacy, builds trust in Islamic financial services, and encourages the adoption of digital financial services. The study also proposes a conceptual model showing that digital marketing influences Islamic financial inclusion through a gradual process involving information access, literacy enhancement, trust formation, and service utilization. The findings imply that digital marketing can serve as a strategic instrument for accelerating Islamic financial inclusion and supporting the sustainable development of the Islamic finance industry in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation and legal status of transactions using the Tokopedia Card on e-commerce platforms from an Islamic law perspective. With the rapid development of financial technology, co-branded credit card products like the Tokopedia Card have become increasingly popular. The research method used is qualitative, employing a fiqh muamalah approach, which examines the operational mechanisms and contracts associated with the product. The analysis focuses on the main features of the Tokopedia Card as a conventional credit card issued by Bank BRI, such as the interest system, late payment fees, annual fees, and rewards programs. The analysis reveals that the interest on outstanding balances and late payment fees clearly fall under the category of Riba an-Nasi'ah, which is absolutely prohibited in Islam. Although features such as annual fees can be considered as ujrah (service fees) and rewards as permissible gifts, this does not negate the riba element that is at the core of conventional credit card contracts. The underlying agreement requires customers to agree to a riba-based system, which fundamentally contradicts the principles of sharia transactions. In conclusion, the implementation of transactions using the Tokopedia Card is inconsistent with Islamic law principles due to its prohibited riba elements. Muslim consumers are advised to use alternative payment methods free from riba elements, such as debit cards, electronic money, or Islamic credit cards
