Abstract

This study focuses on internal quality management efforts in creating a child-friendly educational environment at RA Perwanida 1 Pesanggaran, Banyuwangi. The background of this research is based on the need to improve educational quality through enhancements in managerial aspects, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. The aim of the study is to establish an educational environment that is safe, comfortable, and supports children's holistic development. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research delves into the school's efforts to implement child-friendly principles through internal quality management strategies. Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, staff, and parent representatives, while supporting data were obtained from policy documents and school evaluation reports. To ensure data validity, source and method triangulation techniques were employed. The study identifies five main strategies implemented by RA Perwanida: strengthening internal policies to establish a transparent system, prioritizing anti-bullying education to build children's character, enhancing the quality of a safe and comfortable learning environment, developing a child rights-based curriculum, and encouraging active participation from parents and the community. These strategies have proven effective in supporting the establishment of a child-friendly educational institution. The research concludes that the success of building a child-friendly school heavily relies on well-planned and integrated internal quality management. The implications of this study highlight the importance of systematic data-based evaluations and active collaboration between schools, parents, and communities to ensure program sustainability. Empirically, this study provides a significant contribution to the development of child-friendly education models, particularly in early childhood education settings.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to explore internal quality assurance of education through work competency-based Total Quality Management (TQM). The background to this research is driven by the need to improve the quality of education so that graduates can meet the demands of an increasingly competitive industry and labor market. This research uses qualitative data collection through in-depth interviews and observations at SMK Darussalam Banyuwangi. Data sources in this research include primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through in-depth interviews with school principals, teachers, education staff and students, as well as direct observation of the process of implementing Total Quality Management (TQM) in educational institutions. Secondary data includes official documents such as work competency-based curricula, education quality reports, and government policies regarding the implementation of TQM. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative approach with the Miles and Huberman interactive model. To ensure the validity of the data, this research uses triangulation techniques. Triangulation is carried out through comparison of data from various sources, such as interviews, observations and documentation.  This research identified three main findings: first, work competency as a basis for quality assurance, which shows the importance of a competency-based curriculum in preparing students for the world of work; second, an integrated managerial system that integrates all aspects of educational management to ensure an effective learning process; and third, collaboration and stakeholder participation involving all related parties in quality improvement efforts. The research results show that the application of work competency-based TQM not only improves the quality of education but also the relevance of graduates to industry needs..

Abstract

The implementation of academic supervision should be able to increase teacher competence in teaching so that learning becomes more efficient and student learning outcomes can improve. The madrasa head has a crucial role in implementing academic supervision in the madrasa environment. However, in its implementation, there are a number of problems that arise and have the potential to hamper the effectiveness of academic supervision. This research aims to examine how academic supervision is implemented at MAN Binjai and the problems that arise during its implementation. The research method used is a combined method, through questionnaire surveys to teachers, interviews with madrasa heads, as well as documentation studies of academic supervision instruments. The subjects of this research included the head of the madrasah and twenty selected from six classes. The research results show that academic supervision at MAN Binjai has been carried out well according to the stages of academic supervision, namely pre-observation, carrying out observations, analyzing observation results, and providing feedback to teachers. The impacts felt by teachers include better preparation of Teaching Modules and RPPs as well as increased work motivation. Obstacles faced include schedule changes due to sudden agendas and the tendency to only copy teaching modules and lesson plans that existed in the previous academic year

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the management of  teacher mover collaboration in improving the quality of middle school teacher performance in Southeast Aceh Regency using the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controling) method. The approach used in this research is qualitative. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and interrelated document studies. Data analysis techniques go through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that: Teacher collaboration management is the driving force in improving the quality of performance of State Middle School teachers in Southeast Aceh Regency. The planning is going well, starting with identifying teacher needs, followed by discussions involving all teachers through effective communication and preparation of work programs, but there is still need for improvement in the preparation. vision and mission so that the desired goals are achieved. In the organizing function, it is still necessary to clarify the division of tasks between each element of the collaboration team so that they can be responsible for the success of this function.  In its implementation function, collaborative management takes place in the form of collaborative activities and improvements are needed in managing time and lack of funds and infrastructure by strengthening the concept of appreciative inquiry. Likewise, the supervisory function has been carried out well by observing, providing feedback, mentoring and coaching, and conducting evaluation meetings to follow up on the development of collaborative activities with indicators of teacher performance quality increasing from before.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the management of school principals, obstacles to principal management and teacher responses in using ICT-based learning media through In House Training (IHT) for teachers at SD Negeri 3 Baktiya. The benefit of this research is that it becomes reference material for future research related to school principal management in the use of ICT-based learning media through In House Training (IHT), increases researchers' knowledge, especially in the field of school principal management and provides information for school principals in managing activities. utilization of ICT-based learning media through In House Training (IHT). This research uses a qualitative approach with primary data sources or subjects, namely the principal and teachers of SD Negeri 3 Baktiya and secondary data sources, namely school profile, organizational structure, teacher data and student data at SD Negeri 3 Baktiya. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this research show that school principal management in utilizing ICT-based learning media through in-house training (IHT) starts from planning, organization, implementation and supervision. Planning is tailored to teacher needs with the aim of providing teacher skills in utilizing ICT media. The organization of school principals is carried out through efficient collaboration, which distributes tasks and authority to teachers according to their competencies. The principal's implementation is carried out by providing motivation, direction and coordination. Meanwhile, supervision is carried out through observation and supervision activities. The obstacles experienced in utilizing ICT-based learning media through in-house training (IHT) at SD Negeri 3 Baktiya are the limited ability of the principal in managing activities, limited innovation development, limited instructors, limited teacher knowledge in information and communication technology operating skills. The response of SD Negeri 3 Baktiya teachers to the use of ICT-based learning media through In House Training (IHT) was very positive which was able to raise teacher motivation and feelings of joy so that skills could improve.

Abstract

This research aims to develop innovative policies to improve the quality of education in pilot schools, with a focus on creating an effective learning environment. The main objective of this study is to identify policies that support the quality of learning and analyze their impact on the effectiveness of the learning environment. The research method used is a qualitative approach with case study techniques, where data is collected through in-depth interviews, observation and document analysis at SMK NU Pesanggaran. The research results show that innovative policies involving active teacher involvement, adaptive curriculum, and appropriate use of educational technology have proven to play an important role in creating a conducive learning environment. Apart from that, support from school management in providing training to teaching staff and facilitating adequate learning resources also makes a significant contribution to improving the quality of education. In conclusion, innovative education quality policies can have a positive impact on pilot schools by creating more effective learning environments. This research recommendation includes implementing flexible and measurable policies to continue to improve the quality of learning in pilot schools

Abstract

The purpose of this review is to determine the significance of strategic management in raising educational standards. The review approach employed is literature, which involves gathering diverse supporting article references from worldwide and national publications. The study’s findings, presented as papers, demonstrate a considerable rise in educational quality in well-managed schools. Schools that are not supported by a good management process can develop an irregular organizational rhythm, resulting in a failure to meet instructional goals. Improving educational quality will undoubtedly benefit school graduates. Strategic management allows for the expansion of future potential while also minimizing realized hazards. Strategic management is only possible if all parties directly involved in the school, such as school administrators, parents of students, lecturers and staff, are involved

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pelaksanaan Professional Learning Community (PLC) yang merupakan pendekatan strategis bertujuan meningkatkan profesionalisme guru melalui kolaborasi dan inovasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan PLC di SMP Al-Amanah Cileunyi. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode triangulasi untuk menjamin validitas hasil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki pemahaman yang baik tentang konsep dan manfaat PLC. Pelaksanaan PLC di sekolah cukup terstruktur, mencakup kegiatan seperti diskusi kelompok, perencanaan pembelajaran bersama, dan refleksi praktik pengajaran. Namun, hambatan utama berupa keterbatasan waktu, kurangnya kompetensi kolaboratif, dan belum optimalnya penggunaan teknologi dalam mendukung kegiatan PLC. Faktor pendukung keberhasilan PLC meliputi dukungan kepala sekolah, lingkungan yang kondusif, dan fasilitas yang memadai. Untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut, penelitian ini mengusulkan pelatihan fasilitator untuk meningkatkan kompetensi kolaboratif guru, optimalisasi teknologi daring untuk memperluas akses, dan penyesuaian jadwal agar lebih fleksibel. Simpulan penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya sinergi antara dukungan institusional, peningkatan kompetensi guru, dan penerapan strategi inovatif untuk memastikan keberlanjutan PLC sebagai platform efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

An independent curriculum is a curriculum that gives teachers the freedom to choose various learning models that will be applied in class and can be adapted to the learning needs and interests of students. One of them is the Project Based Learning learning model. Project Based Learning is a learning activity in the form of creating products or services that are used as a means of mastering competencies. This research aims to improve student learning outcomes through a collaborative-based Project Based Learning learning model. The variables in this research consist of the independent variable, namely the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model and the dependent variable, namely student learning outcomes. The data collection technique in this research uses triangulation techniques. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that learning using the Project Based Learning model can improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the moderate Islamic education concept program at MIN 1 Rejang Lebong, including the steps, obstacles, support, and efforts involved. This research used qualitative methods and was conducted at MIN 1 Rejang Lebong. Data collection techniques include interviews, field research, and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques involve data reduction, analysis of available data, and conclusions. Research findings at MIN 1 Rejang Lebong identified four concepts: using future life skills to combat violence or learning through the principles of Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jama'ah An-Nahdiyin. At MIN 1 Rejang Lebong, these concepts include Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah Islamiah), national brotherhood (ukhuwah wathaniyah), and human brotherhood (ukhuwah Insaniyah). MIN 1 Rejang Lebong focuses on two concepts: Islamic education (al-Islam) and Muhammadiyah principles (Kemuhammadiyahan).
