Abstract

This study was aimed to examine on how Quizizz application can be utilized to enhance students' vocabulary mastery and determine whether there is improvement in their vocabulary skills as the result of using the Quizizz application. It was conducted in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Asahan in 2023; 32 students from the 1st grade in class VII-A took part as the participants. Classroom Action Research was employed for this study and divided into two cycles. The data was collected by using qualitative methods; such as observation, interview, diary notes, and documentation, as well as quantitative methods; such as multiple-choice tests, that conducted at the end of each cycle. Based on the result, the students' scores increased from the first cycle to the last cycle. The pre-test mean was 55.31, and 7 students (21.87%) scored over 75 points. The post-test for cycle I was 72.50, that higher than the pre-test, and 19 students (59.37%) scored over 75 points. The post-test mean for cycle II was 91.87, that higher than the post-test for cycle I, and 31 students (3.12%) scored over 75 points. They did not encounter any significant challenges. The assessment of attitudes was evaluated with a maximum score as 160. The students scored as 141 in care, 134 in respect, 139 in teamwork, 134 in self-confidence, and 138 in responsibility. They indicated that the using of Quizizz application to improve students' vocabulary mastery was effective. Based on the test results and observations toward students, their enthusiasm and excitement are also increased

Abstract

The aims of this research are (1) to determine the relationship between the managerial abilities of school principals and the commitment of State Middle School teachers in Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency (2) To determine the relationship between work stress and the commitment of State Middle School teachers in Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency (3) To determine the relationship work ethic towards the commitment of State Middle School teachers in Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency. (4) To determine the relationship between school principals' managerial abilities, stress and work ethic on the commitment of State Middle School teachers in Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency. This research uses quantitative methods, a quantitative descriptive approach. This research is a population study that uses a research sample of 83 people, the sampling technique is total sampling. Likert scale questionnaire data collection techniques and data processing techniques for multiple linear regression analysis. Partial research findings obtained (1) there is a positive and significant relationship between the managerial ability of school principals and teacher commitment with a significant value of 0.001. (2) There is a positive and significant relationship between stress and teacher commitment with a significant value of 0.0031. (3) There is a positive and significant relationship between work ethic and teacher commitment with a significant value of 0.0001. Research findings simultaneously showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the managerial ability of school principals, stress and work ethic on the commitment of State Middle School teachers in Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency with a significant value of 0.0000. The findings of this research have practical implications, namely providing awareness and input to related agencies and teachers, that in these agencies there is a problem that will affect various aspects therein, such as ineffective learning processes, lack of teacher commitment to the school, and so on. -other. From these problems, agencies can provide solutions to problems that occur in their agencies. It is hoped that suggestions to schools through this research can become a reference in making various policies in school principal management and decisions so that they can reduce teacher work stress in the school and improve the teacher's work ethic well, thus having an impact on increasing teacher commitment in the school.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the practices of personal financial management among Mattayom students at Sangkom Islam Wittaya School. The research employed survey and interview methods with Mattayom class students, along with qualitative analysis. Findings reveal that a significant number of Mattayom students have limited understanding of personal financial management. Despite receiving regular allowances, a lack of awareness regarding the importance of budgeting and saving makes them vulnerable to financial instability. Educational factors, spending patterns, and social influences also contribute to students' financial management practices. Therefore, this research recommends the development of an integrated financial education program within the school curriculum. It is expected to assist Mattayom students in enhancing their personal financial management skills and preparing them to face future financial challenges

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah tentang Peranan Karakter Anak dalam Perspektif Filsafat Pendidikan. Pendidikan karakter adalah suatu penanaman nilai-nilai baik kepada anak didik agar menjadi manusia yang seutuhnya (yaitu menjadi insan kamil). Pendidikan karakter dianggap penting untuk memperbaiki moral bangsa Indonesia melalui jalur pendidikan. Pendidikan karakter mengunggah dunia pendidikan untuk membentuk dan memperbaiki moral-moral anak didik yang semakin merosot. Penulis menggunakan penelitian kepustakaan (Library Research) yang objek penelitiannya dicari lewat beragam informasi kepustakaan (buku, jurnal ilmiah, dokumen) dan lain sebagainya. Dalam penelitian ini penulis mengumpulkan data-data menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif, bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara rinci tentang peranan karakter anak dalam perspektif Filsafat Pendidikan. Penulis mengambil dua perspektif dari sisi filsafat pendidikan umum dan filsafat pendidikan Islam. Dari perspektif Filsafat Umum ialah Ki Hadjar Dewantara. Menurut Ki Hadjar Dewantara pendidikan haruslah bersifat nasional. Proses pendidikan memiliki pencapaian target berupa proses transfer ilmu pengetahuan dan transformasi nilai untuk pembentukan karakter anak didik. Pembentukan karakter anak didik perlu melibatkan tri pusat pendidikan (keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat). Sedangkan dari sisi pandang filsafat pendidikan Islam ialah tokoh filsafat Al Rasyidin. Pendidikan karakter dimulai dari pendidikan akhlaq. Dalam Islam, akhlaq adalah akar dari segala kebaikan dan keutamaan yang akan memberi nilai setiap amal atau perilaku manusia. Selain itu, Proses pembentukan karakter bisa juga melalui pendidikan yang dibangun atas dasar konsepsi Islam tentang manusia sebagai makhluk yang memiliki kesatuan utuh dan terintegrasi antara ‘aql, qalb, dan nafs. Proses pembentukan, pembinaan, dan pengembangan kepribadian Islam diawali dari tazkiyah kemudian beranjut dengan ta’lim, tarbiyah atau ta’dib.

Abstract

The aims of this research are (1) to find out teachers' strategic planning to improve the quality of biology learning in North Aceh Regency (2) to find out the needs assessment used by teachers to improve the quality of biology learning (3) to find out evaluations of teachers' strategic planning that can improve the quality of learning biology (4) to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for teachers' strategic planning in improving the quality of biology learning. This research uses a qualitative approach. This research was carried out at SMAN 2 Nisam, SMAN 1 Dewantara and SMAN 1 Muara Batu, North Aceh Regency. The informants in this research consisted of teachers, students, principals and school supervisors. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. To ensure the validity of the data using triangulation techniques with data analysis according to Miles and Hamberman. The findings of this research consist of (1) teachers prepare strategic planning at the beginning of each semester guided by the independent curriculum which is in line with the school's vision and mission, the existence of human resources and support from the community and teachers in creating a comfortable classroom atmosphere by providing teaching tools and fun methods for learning (2) Of the three schools studied, only one school has teachers who always carry out needs assessments (3) Evaluations are not often carried out only in the form of reflection on learning material, evaluations are carried out during semester exams and only teachers in one school always carry out evaluations. (4) The existence of supporting factors in the form of facilities and infrastructure, which hinder students' background and motivation, as well as the use of cellphones that are not permitted

Abstract

This study examines the integration of general knowledge and religious teachings in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), focusing on the epistemological perspectives of teachers. The research, conducted at Pondok Pesantren Darul Quran Insan Cendekia in Sukabumi, uses a phenomenological approach to explore the personal experiences of teachers in blending scientific and religious knowledge. The findings emphasize the crucial role of teachers' epistemology in achieving a harmonious balance between intellect and spirituality. Teachers play a vital role in aligning Islamic values with scientific knowledge, facilitating a comprehensive educational experience that prepares students for both academic and spiritual challenges. Despite progress, challenges remain, such as limited expertise in general sciences and teaching skills, which highlight the need for ongoing teacher training and professional development. Integrating religious teachings with modern educational tools, like technology, is also crucial to improve teaching effectiveness. The study highlights how strong epistemological understanding enables the integration of divine revelation (naqli) and human reasoning (aqli), creating a cohesive and holistic learning system. The research contributes to the broader conversation on integrative education, providing insights on how to practically implement such models and overcome obstacles. It advocates for a modern pesantren model that fosters intellectual skills and moral values, preparing students to succeed in a globalized world while maintaining their Islamic identity.

Abstract

This article is the result of a study that discusses the application of the CIPP model in the evaluation of the SRA program at MIN 27 South Aceh. This qualitative study uses a qualitative research method by emphasizing the naturalistic results of the research results showing that: The application of the CIPP model in the evaluation of the SRA program at MIN 27 South Aceh can be seen from the evaluation of the context, input, product and process where, the context model in the SRA program is: Character formation as a child-friendly school culture that equips students to be able to actualize their personality towards Islamic character, while the input is the honesty of the student's character which is equipped by teachers, parents and education personnel by always socializing about children's rights and child-friendly schools, the evaluation of the process is an interactive, inspiring, fun, challenging activity, motivating students to play an active role. where CCTV is installed in every corner of the canteen where every Saturday their extracurricular activities will watch their activities in the canteen honestly so that students are more responsive and the evaluation of the product is students where they are able to actualize their personality towards Islamic character by being honest even though not all of them are optimal but they have been accustomed to it since early on.

Abstract

 One of the keys to the success of the implementation of the P5 independent curriculum in schools is collaboration and communication between teachers and students. Therefore, it is necessary to collaborate to support the implementation of the P5 Independent Curriculum between teachers and students. This study aims to analyze how the collaboration in the implementation of P5 at SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques including non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews and documentation. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling and snowball,. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn, so that the validity of the data is checked, namely with credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results of the study show that the P5 collaboration carried out at SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh uses 3 forms of collaboration, namely collaboration between teachers and students, collaboration between teachers, and collaboration between teachers and the school environment. All forms of collaboration have stages of planning, implementation and evaluation of the project. Thus, the form of collaboration in the implementation of P5 can be applied in Senior High Schools in general

Abstract

This study aims to provide students with independence in online entrepreneurship strategies so that the level of independence possessed by students continues to be instilled from an early age by utilizing various platforms available online. In this study using qualitative methods, namely research to describe and analyze phenomena, events, beliefs, attitudes, and social activities individually and in groups. Qualitative methods are a collection of methods for analyzing and understanding more deeply about the meaning of some individuals or groups considered as a humanitarian or social problem. The results of this study show that UMSU PGSD graduates in 2021 show 48.6% getting a job while 51.4% are not yet working. Therefore, PGSD students as the target group must be given attention and emphasis on increasing opportunities and entrepreneurship skills training programs

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe multiple intelligence-based classroom management in the learning process, as well as to analyze its impact on student learning achievement and the development of student potential at MI Pembangunan UIN Jakarta. Based on these objectives, this research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out by conducting observations, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis is carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions by reviewing the data and theories that have been built in the research. The findings of multiple intelligence-based classroom management research at MI Pembangunan UIN Jakarta can be identified through three main aspects: 1) Multiple Intelligence Research, identifying students' main or dominant intelligence in various aspects of intelligence. The MIR test results show the diversity of students' intelligence. 2) Class management based on multiple intelligence. The method for grouping students is based on the same dominant type of intelligence, creating a conducive learning climate, and classroom facilities and equipment to create a learning environment that is effective, comfortable and supports the achievement of goals. 3) Class management based on multiple intelligence in the learning process. The implementation of a multiple intelligence-based classroom management approach at MI Pembangunan develops student potential through various coaching programs and lesson plans. 4) Multiple intelligence-based classroom management in developing student talents. Talent development at MI Pembangunan UIN Jakarta through the implementation of multiple intelligence-based classroom management with three key aspects: class division based on MIR results, creating a conducive learning climate, and providing supportive classroom facilities and equipment
