Abstract

Improving the quality of education is influenced by various factors, including curriculum policy, the availability of facilities and infrastructure, and teacher competence as the main implementers of learning. The Merdeka Curriculum policy is expected to enhance education quality through student-centered learning, competency strengthening, and the development of the Pancasila Student Profile. However, the success of its implementation greatly depends on school readiness, facility support, and teacher competence. Therefore, this study aims to analyse the effect of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, facilities and infrastructure, and teacher competence on improving the quality of education in senior high schools in Pidie Regency.This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach with a population of 514 senior high school teachers in Pidie Regency and a sample of 225 teachers from 12 schools. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire with a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5 to measure the variables of Merdeka Curriculum implementation, facilities and infrastructure, teacher competence, and education quality. Validity and reliability tests were conducted to ensure the instrument’s reliability, while data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistics with the assistance of IBM SPSS version 26. The results show that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has a positive and significant effect on education quality. Student-centered learning, varied learning methods, and character strengthening through projects have been proven to improve the quality of learning processes and outcomes. Facilities and infrastructure also have a significant effect on education quality, as the availability of adequate learning facilities creates a conducive learning environment. In addition, teacher competence has the most dominant influence on education quality, reaffirming the importance of pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies in supporting successful learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas media garis bilangan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep operasi hitung bilangan bulat pada siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar (SD) Negeri 2 Waisai. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 6-27 Oktober 2025 dengan melibatkan 20 siswa. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes pemahaman konsep. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media garis bilangan secara sistematis dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dalam melakukan penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat . Hal tersebut terutama dalam mengatasi miskonsepsi umum seperti kebingungan terhadap nilai negatif, konsep arah pada garis bilangan, dan representasi bilangan sebagai posisi relatif. Media garis bilangan terbukti membantu siswa membangun mental number sense, memperkuat pemahaman konseptual, dan meningkatkan akurasi dalam menyelesaikan soal. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan garis bilangan sebagai media utama dalam pembelajaran operasi hitung bilangan bulat di SD. Adapun sekolah yang dimaksud adalah konteks sekolah dengan keterbatasan fasilitas, seperti di daerah 3T (Terdepan, Terluar, dan Tertinggal).

Abstract

The research aims to 1) how the role of the principal as a supervisor in planning academic and managerial supervision programs to improve the quality of education 2) how far the effectiveness of the implementation of academic supervision by the principal in improving the quality of teacher learning 3) how the principal evaluates the results of academic and managerial supervision to determine follow-up in improving the quality of education 4) how the role of the principal as a supervisor in optimizing facilities, infrastructure, and funding to support the quality of education 5) what factors support and hinder the role of the principal as a supervisor in improving the quality of education. This research method uses qualitative research. The research subjects are informants consisting of principals, teachers, and school committee members. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of the study indicate that learning outcomes, equity, teacher competence, learning quality, and participatory governance. This approach shows that supervision that is adaptive to local culture and school resources can produce sustainable quality improvements.

Abstract

Perilaku bolos siswa dipengaruhi faktor internal dan eksternal serta berdampak negatif pada diri dan sekolah. Konseling spiritual berpotensi sebagai pendekatan rehabilitatif yang menyentuh akar persoalan batin siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji konseling spiritual sebagai pendekatan rehabilitatif siswa bolos, dengan menelusuri penyebab psikospiritual, mengembangkan model, dan menjelaskan proses pemulihan berbasis nilai keagamaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus kualitatif di MTs. Mardliyyah Pamekasan untuk mendalami efektivitas konseling spiritual dalam mengintervensi perilaku bolos siswa melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Perilaku bolos siswa MTs. Mardliyyah Pamekasan disebabkan oleh faktor internal seperti masalah psikologis dan spiritual, termasuk kurangnya perhatian orang tua, tekanan akademik, dan lemahnya nilai keagamaan. Selain itu, pengaruh teman sebaya yang negatif turut memperparah kondisi. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, sekolah menerapkan konseling spiritual dengan tahapan eksplorasi nilai-nilai spiritual, refleksi perilaku bolos, penguatan relasi spiritual, dan komitmen perubahan. Guru BK berperan aktif dengan pendekatan empatik, mendorong kesadaran, tanggung jawab, dan pertumbuhan spiritual siswa agar lebih disiplin dan memiliki makna dalam pendidikan. Perilaku bolos siswa MTs. Mardliyyah Pamekasan dipicu faktor internal dan pengaruh teman sebaya. Konseling spiritual diterapkan melalui refleksi, pembinaan ibadah, dan penguatan nilai untuk memulihkan motivasi belajar.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: to identify the implementation of the principal?s participative leadership style in the context of secondary education, particularly in fostering students? character; to determine the influence of the principal?s participative leadership on work motivation, performance, and innovation within the school environment; and to examine the relationship between the principal?s participative leadership and the development of character-building programs for students in secondary schools. This research is field research (field study) with a qualitative approach. The study was conducted at SMKN 2 Sigli, a public vocational high school established on 9 November 1966 under the original name Sekolah Teknik Menengah (STM) Sigli. The subjects of this study are the principal and educators, consisting of 1 principal, 1 vice principal for student affairs, 1 guidance and counselling (BK) teacher, and 7 teachers. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, while data analysis employed the criteria of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results show that the implementation of a participative leadership style by the principal of SMKN 2 Sigli demonstrates a high level of effectiveness in creating a healthy and collaborative work environment. Supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of participative leadership in fostering students? character include, first, a major supporting factor in the form of the principal?s strong commitment to character development, reflected in exemplary attitudes, openness in communication, and the active involvement of teachers, students, parents, and external parties. The efforts made by the principal to optimise the leadership role in shaping students? character are reflected in the implementation of character-building strategies that embody a visionary, participative, and sustainable leadership approach..

Abstract

Axiology is a branch of philosophy that deals with values and sets ultimate goals in the teaching and learning process. In the context of Islamic educational philosophy, axiology is not only rooted in worldly aspects, but also derives from the revelation sent down by Allah. This article aims to explore three main values that create an axiological structure in Islamic education, namely the values of faith, worship, and character building. This study applies a literature study method which involves conducting a comprehensive review of various sources. The data sources sought came from a number of books, articles, journals. The research findings show a correlation and mutual support between these values. The value of faith serves as the foundation for understanding existence and knowledge, which directs an individual's belief in one God. The value of worship is a representation of this belief, so that activities in education can be used as a means of devotion to Allah SWT. In addition, the value of moral education serves as the result and means of these two values, with the aim of shaping noble character in students. The conclusion of this article emphasizes the importance of integrating these three values into educational practice, which is also a necessity.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to analyse the effectiveness of supervision techniques in Islamic educational institutions as a quality assurance mechanism at MA Roudlotul Muta'alimin Cluring Banyuwangi. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design to understand the supervision techniques at MA Roudlotul Muta'alimin Cluring Banyuwangi as a quality assurance mechanism. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, the school committee, and students, while secondary data were drawn from school documents and reports. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observations, and document studies. Data analysis was conducted thematically through coding, categorisation, and interpretation based on administrative and social aspects. Validity was maintained through triangulation and member checking, resulting in a holistic understanding and practical recommendations for quality assurance in Islamic education.The study at MA Roudlotul Muta'alimin Cluring Banyuwangi shows that supervision techniques play a strategic role in assuring the quality of Islamic education. The implementation of structured supervision improves the quality of learning, with teachers planning material more systematically and adjusting instructional methods to students' needs, thereby enhancing students' understanding and participation. Participatory supervision involving teachers, students, and the school committee strengthens the academic culture, encourages teacher motivation, increases creativity in teaching methods, and fosters student discipline and responsibility. The integration of administrative and social aspects produces a holistic and adaptive supervision mechanism, enabling objective performance evaluation, effective communication with parents, and relevant instructional strategies. The findings affirm that supervision functions as an instrument for teacher professional development, improvement of instructional quality, and the establishment of a sustainable academic culture

Abstract

Isu kerusakan lingkungan menuntut peran aktif lembaga pendidikan dalam membangun kesadaran dan budaya ramah lingkungan. Madrasah sebagai institusi pendidikan Islam memiliki tanggung jawab strategis dalam mengintegrasikan nilai kepedulian lingkungan melalui kepemimpinan pendidikan yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam mewujudkan sekolah ramah lingkungan serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat keberlanjutan program tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus di MTs Ma'arif Sidomukti Gresik. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kepala madrasah, observasi kegiatan sekolah, dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala madrasah berperan aktif melalui keteladanan personal, pelaksanaan program kebersihan rutin, kebijakan disiplin lingkungan, serta distribusi tanggung jawab kepada warga madrasah. Namun demikian, keberlanjutan program sekolah ramah lingkungan masih menghadapi kendala berupa belum terlembaganya struktur khusus program lingkungan, kelelahan guru dalam pengawasan, sikap acuh sebagian peserta didik, serta terbatasnya dukungan eksternal. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan sekolah ramah lingkungan tidak hanya ditentukan oleh komitmen individual kepala madrasah, tetapi memerlukan penguatan kelembagaan dan dukungan ekosistem yang berkelanjutan. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi teoretis bagi pengembangan kajian kepemimpinan pendidikan Islam serta implikasi praktis bagi madrasah dalam merancang program sekolah ramah lingkungan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the need for effective management of teachers' professional competence to improve the quality of education at the elementary school level, particularly at SD Negeri 2 Rantau Pauh and SD Negeri Kampung Durian in Rantau Subdistrict, Aceh Tamiang Regency. The management of teachers' professional competence is considered crucial due to the existing variations in teachers' abilities in lesson planning, classroom instruction, and the use of evaluation results as a basis for instructional improvement. Therefore, this study focuses on the planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up of professional competence management in improving the quality of education. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects included principals, teachers, and school committee members. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the planning of teachers' professional competence management was based on the results of classroom supervision, student learning outcomes, and the school quality report, although it was implemented gradually due to limited resources; (2) the implementation of professional competence development was carried out adaptively through internal school strengthening strategies, such as direct mentoring, peer learning, reflective discussions, and the utilization of the Teacher Working Group (KKG), even though external training had not been evenly attended by all teachers; (3) the evaluation of teachers' professional competence emphasized reflection on teaching practices and professional responsibility, rather than being solely oriented toward fulfilling instructional administrative requirements; and (4) follow-up actions were implemented through continuous guidance and mentoring using a humanistic coaching approach, although they were not yet fully supported by systematic written follow-up plans. These findings indicate that the contextual, adaptive, and sustainable management of teachers' professional competence can support the improvement of educational quality at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) What is the principal's strategy in building a positive culture to prevent bullying, 2) What are the challenges of the principal in a positive culture towards bullying prevention, 3) What is the impact of implementing a positive culture on the learning environment and interactions between school members. This study uses qualitative research. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. While the data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The research subjects of the Tengku Raja Sayed Cluster III, Manyak Payed District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, namely: Geulanggang Merak State Elementary School, Raja Tuha State Elementary School and Simpang Tiga State Elementary School. The results of this study indicate that the principal's strategy based on a positive culture in preventing bullying at Tengku Raja Sayed Cluster III Elementary School has generally been running in harmony and mutually reinforcing between the principal, teachers, students, and parents. This harmony is evident in the shared understanding of the importance of creating a safe, comfortable, and conducive school environment for the social and emotional development of students. However, this study also found partial asynchronization, especially in the aspects of collaboration and socialization which have not been specifically and sustainably programmed.
