Abstract

This research aims to examine whether Nizar Qabbani in creating poetry adheres to Parnasianism or not. Nizar Qabbani is a Syrian poet who wrote poetry about women. Most of Nizar Qabbani's poetry collections refer to women's bodies as objects of love. Parnasianism is a literary movement that emphasizes beauty rather than moral aspects. This research uses a descriptive analysis method by analyzing three poems by Nizar Qabbani entitled قالت لي السمراء, طفولة نهد and 100 رسالة الحب. Based on the three poems by Nizar Qabbani, they fall into the category of poems that follow the flow of Parnasianism. The poem is about women, a man's love for a woman, using beautiful language, wazan and qafiyah and not caring about the meaning it contains whether it deviates from social or religious norms.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the function of commas in Arabic and provide an explanation of the rules and common errors that are often encountered in writing commas and differences in commas in Indonesian. The method used is a qualitative method with a literature study approach, primary and secondary data collection techniques in the form of books and journals. Based on the results of data analysis conducted by the author regarding commas in Arabic, firstly, commas in Arabic serve as separators between items in a list, commas are placed after connecting words, marking pauses in sentences, and secondly, commas in Arabic and Indonesian have the same purpose but their placement can vary depending on the context and grammar of each language.

Abstract

This research addresses the topic of improving intensive reading instruction (in Arabic) through the development of teaching materials aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The research focuses on the extent to which the educational content is aligned with the proficiency level of learners, particularly at levels A2-B1, which include skills such as understanding the main idea, inferring implicit meanings, and analyzing the discourse structure of texts. The study adopted the ADDIE research and development (R&D) model, starting with needs analysis and ending with the evaluation of the effectiveness of the teaching materials. The results of expert verification and limited testing showed that CEFR-based teaching materials contribute to a significant improvement in reading proficiency, particularly in terms of reading fluency, accuracy of comprehension, and the ability to interpret contextual meanings. This study confirms that integrating the CEFR not only standardizes teaching criteria, but also makes the learning process more structured, gradual, and aligned with the development of students' ability to understand Arabic texts in depth.

Abstract

The application of socio-psycholinguistics in Arabic language learning aims to optimize understanding and mastery of the language through an approach that integrates social and psychological factors. The application of socio-psycholinguistics in Arabic language learning is very important to enrich students understanding of language as a communication tootl that is not only limited to grammatical structure or vocabulary. Socio-psycholinguistics studies the relationship between language, individuals, and society, as well as how the influence of the social environment and psychological conditions affect the way language is learned and used. In the context of Arabic, this approach is highly relevant because the language has variations depending on social and cultural contexts and is used in both formal and religious communication. By understanding these aspects, learners can more easily adapt in speaking, writing, and comprehending Arabic in various situations, whether in academic, social, or religious contexts. The integration of socio-psycholinguistics can create a more contextual and profound learning experience, as well as enhance effective communication skills.

Abstract

Ibn Taymiyyah is a philosopher who has made important contributions to Islamic science in several areas, including philosophy of education.  Ibn Taymiyyah’s philosophy of education places a strong emphasis on character development, the integration of reason and revelation, and the value of practical knowledge.  The purpose of this research is to examine how Ibn Taymiyyah's philosophy of education relates to Arabic language learning.  Ibn Taymiyyah's writings, including Majmu' al-Fatawa, Dar'u Ta'arud al-'Aql wa an-Naql, and As-Siyasah as-Shari'ah, as well as additional supporting material, are analyzed and interpreted using a qualitative library research strategy.  To determine the main idea of its philosophy of education and investigate its applicability to Arabic language learning, the data underwent both descriptive analysis of educational philosophy.  The findings of the study demonstrate that Ibn Taymiyyah's philosophical concept in education encompasses knowledge as a divine mandate, knowledge as a rational search guided by revelation, and knowledge as a means of applying Islamic values. These principles are reflected in the learning of Arabic, where language understanding is not only a means of communication, but also a medium for accessing authentic Islamic texts. In addition, Ibn Taymiyyah's approach is in line with the importance of character development and deep understanding in language learning. It is evident that the implementation of Ibn Taymiyyah's educational philosophy within the context of Arabic language acquisition can foster enhancement not only of linguistic proficiency but also of spiritual development, within the paradigm of Islamic education.

Abstract

This study specifically aims to examine the effect of Al-Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik learning media in the context of increasing Arabic language learning outcomes in class VIII students at MTsN 1 Deli Serdang. The phenomenon in the field shows that the dominance of conventional teaching methods that lack innovation and dependence on textbooks alone tend to create a passive learning environment, leading to a decrease in student motivation and learning outcomes. This condition emphasizes the imperative to adopt a more dynamic and technology-based learning approach, along with the demands of digital literacy in the contemporary era. By using a quantitative approach with an experimental design, this study validates the potential of Al-Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik as an interactive media designed for non-native learners, which holistically accommodates the development of four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing). The pilot test results showed strong evidence of a significant improvement in students' learning performance; the average score substantially increased from 64.5 to 97.5, followed by a drastic increase in the number of students who achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (MCQ) from 7 to 18 individuals. In additional, field observations recorded a notable increase in the level of student activeness and enthusiasm in learning participation. The response from subject educators was also very positive, reflected in the percentage of media feasibility of 98% based on the evaluation of the aspects of appearance, material presentation, and benefits, all of which were categorized as “Very Feasible”. This finding firmly confirms the urgency of utilizing innovative and technology-adaptive learning media for optimizing the Arabic teaching and learning process which is not only effective, but also able to arouse students' intrinsic motivation and relevant to the dynamics of global education.

Abstract

Good language is when the intended meaning can be conveyed by the words and sentences spoken. In addition, the choice of appropriate words is a key consideration in speaking. The words spoken should not be unfamiliar to the listener so that they are easy to understand. When conveying a message, it is best to use concise language that represents the intended meaning. When describing the nature of heaven, which is intangible, it is necessary to use language that is precise and capable of depicting heaven and all its attributes as if they were real. One example of such descriptions can be found in the names that refer to the meaning of heaven itself, such as jannah, dar maqamah, dar as salam, ar rahmah, dar an naim, and firdaus. Thus, anyone who hears these names can easily grasp and visualize them, making them worthy of striving for in this world. This paper will explore the messages and meanings contained in several names of paradise found in the Qur'an. Beyond their names, these terms also carry specific attributes that represent particular conditions. The method used is qualitative descriptive. Through this approach, it becomes evident how the language of the Quran seeks to bring the meaning of paradise closer to all humanity, even though it was initially addressed to the Arab people using their language (Arabic) to ensure ease of understanding.

Abstract

The development of technology is currently growing so fast that is characterized by artificial intelligence or known as Artificial Intelligence, which appears in various forms, or creations that can reach all aspects of life, without exception in Arabic language learning. Currently Artificial Intelligence has a significant impact on Arabic language learning where with its sophistication a person can learn Arabic without going through the intermediary of an educator. This research uses a qualitative method with a library research approach, which is sourced from various kinds of literature studies related to the impact of the use of technology in the curriculum. The results of this study indicate that the presence of technology through artificial intelligence or Artficial Intelligence has a significant impact on students, namely their intellectual abilities or rationality will be increasingly developed. On the other hand, the use of technology also has a negative impact on it, namely the loss of distinctiveness in Arabic language learning initiated by the scholars, namely the existence of spirituality in the learning process, so that learning Arabic will simultaneously increase the faith and spirituality of educators and students. Spirituality becomes important in the process of learning Arabic, because the spirit is the highest path in the spiritual level of closeness to the Creator. This situation provides an in-depth analysis that Artificial Intelligence in the form of sophisticated machines that can be ordered anything by the user or user can be completed in a short time, finally educators and students who participate in using without any deep contemplation have an impact, namely the absence of spiritual experience in their life journey.

Abstract

Arabic is a vital language in the Islamic world as it is the language of the Qur'an and a primary source of Islamic sciences. However, the teaching of Arabic at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level in Indonesia still faces challenges, especially in students’ reading and writing skills. This study aims to explore the implementation and effectiveness of the SAS (Structural, Analytic, Synthetic) method in improving Arabic learning at MTs Nasyril Islam 14 Ulu Palembang. Employing a sequential exploratory mixed methods approach, the study involved 30 seventh-grade students as subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and pre-test/post-test. The findings reveal a significant improvement in students’ Arabic reading and writing abilities after the SAS method was applied. The average post-test score (80.16) was higher than the pre-test (74.83), supported by statistical tests showing a significant difference. This indicates the SAS method's effectiveness in enhancing student engagement and achievement in Arabic learning.

Abstract

This quantitative research aims to determine the initial ability, student learning outcomes in Arabic language subjects and the relationship of initial ability to Arabic learning outcomes of 11th grade students at MAN Binjai. Data obtained from the sample (n=30) were collected using observation and documentation studies, then analyzed using inferential statistical analysis techniques, namely simple linear regression tests. The results of inferential analysis of X and Y variable data show that the correlation value between X and Y variables is 0.435, which means it is included in the moderate category. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination is 0.160 or 16%. Which means that X can explain Y by 16% and the rest is influenced by other variables. While the significance value is 0.016 < alpha = 0.05. This shows that there is a significant influence between variable X and variable Y. Thus, based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that students' initial ability has a positive and significant effect on students' Arabic learning outcomes in grade 11 MAN Binjai.
