Abstract

Abstract: The low of students’ motivation to learn physics, especially because of there is no variation in the model and the use of instructional media.Therefore conducted the study with the specific aim to describe: (1) increasing students’ motivation during the learning process of quantum teaching, (2) the teacher ability to manage learning by applying quantumteachingLesson Plan, (3) the studentactivities during the learning process of quantum teaching, (4) completeness of student learning after quantumteachinglearning model was applied.This study was comprised on 3 cycles of PTK.Data obtained from questionnaires, observation sheets, and tests.The findings of the studies are: (1) students motivation increasing isgood-qualified in all aspects of the cycle, attention amounted to 3.20; 3.05, and 3.38; the relevance of each aspect of 3.20; 3.09, and 3.26; confidence of 3.25; 3.57, and 3.44; satisfaction respectively by 3.24; 3.04, and 3.33, (2) the ability of teachers to manage learning based on the Lesson Planare 92%, 94% and 95% with an average reliability of 96% in both criteria (3) the student activity on very well categories with the percentage are 80.5%, 91%, and 92%, and (4) completeness of student learning in the classical are 63.16%, 76.19% and 85%.Based on these findings it can conclude that the effectiveness of quantumteaching learningmodels application to enhancing students' motivation in the expansionsubject is in effective category.Key words:Quantum teaching, expansion, motivation to learn, PTK

Abstract

Abstract: This research intended to study the effect of individual instruction to the development of student creativity in physics. Different from classical instruction in which teachers assume that all students have the same ability, maturity and the same rate of learning, on individual instruction it is considered that students have their own ability, intelegence, talent, personality, and achievement. This study used “post test only control group” design.. From the statistical calculation it was found that t '= 8.43 while t tabel = 2.02 with the real level = 0.05 Since t' does not lie between +2.02 and -2.02 then H0 was rejected so that H1 was accepted. It can be concluded that there were significant differences in creativity scores of the first grade students in 3’s Junior High School Makassar, between students who are taught by classical instruction and students who are taught by individual instructionKey words: individual instruction, creativity in physics

Abstract

Abstract. Studies have been conducted to determine the effect (1) the use of models of Simayang Type II PhET media aided the learning outcomes of students (2) the use of models of Simayang Type II PhET media aided visual representation of the ability of a solution of acids and bases. This research used quasy experimental design. The sample in this study is a class XI PMIA 2 as an experimental class and XI PMIA 3 as the control class. Experiments class using PhET media Simayang model with Type II consists of four phases, namely orientation, exploration imagination conceptual representation, internalization and evaluation. The results showed that (1) There are differences between the results of post-test experimental class and control class that is impact on learning outcomes (2) There are differences between the results of post-test experimental class and control class so that is influence on the ability of visual representation.Keywords: Simayang Type II, Learning Outcomes, Visual Representation Capabilities, Solutions Acid Base, Media PhET.

Abstract

Abstract. A research on the application of Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition (AIR) learning models in the hydrolysis of the salt material in class XI science 2 SMA PGRI 6 Banjarmasin. This study aims to determine: (1) improving the quality of teacher learning, (2) improvement of student learning activities, (3) student’s critical thinking skills, (4) improving student learning outcomes. This study uses classroom action research design with 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and evaluation, as well as analysis and reflection. The subject were student of class XI Science SMA PGRI 6 Banjarmasin with the number 28. The data include observation of teacher activity and student activity. Outcomes data of critical thinking skills collected using essay tests at the end of each lesson and learning outcomes data were collected using the test results to learn at the end of each cycle. Results of the study showed that the application of AIR learning models can improve teacher learning with good criteria in the first cycle to be very good in the second cycle. Student activity increased with good criteria in the first cycle to be very good in the second cycle. Student’s critical thinking skills increased each indicator by category quite well in the first cycle to be good on the second cycle. Application of AIR learning models can improve student’s mastery of learning outcomes of the average 69.35 % in the first cycle to be 89.30% in the second cycle or an increase of 19.95%.Keywords : auditory, intellectually, repetition (air) learning model, critical thinking skills, learning outcomes,hydrolysis of salts

Abstract

Abstract. Thinking skills is strongly influenced by the working of brain. The brain is the center of all activities including thinking. Therefore, the learning that regard and develop brain potential to develop high order thinking skills in students is required. The reason to do this research is because the lack of training given to students in optimizing the ability of their brain in thinking, which generally use the lower order thinking such as remembering and memorizing. The use of Brain-Based Learning (BBL) strategy will be an opportunity for students to develop their thinking skills for their cognitive achievement. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of BBL strategy to metacognitive skills of biology students in Borneo Tarakan University. This is quasi experiment research with pretest-posttest control group design. Population in this research is all of biology students who program Cell Biology course. Students of A and B class are the sample of this research. Data analysis used is descriptive and inferential statistic technique. The results showed that BBL strategy is more effective influencing metacognitive skills compared with multistrategy. The average score in the class with BBL is 51.81 higher than the average score on the class taught with multistrategy that is 41.94.Keywords: Brain-Based learning, thinking skills, metacognitive.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to (1) improve learning outcomes concept of solubility and solubility product, (2) determine the ability of students to learning affective solubility and solubility product, (3) determine students' response to the application of the learning problem solving in learning solubility and solubility product. This study uses classroom action research design, with 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and evaluation, as well as analysis and reflection. The subjects were students of class XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Banjarmasin, amounting to 24 people. Data collection techniques using achievement test engineering and questionnaires. Data analyzed by percentage. The results showed that the solubility of the learning material and the solubility product of problem solving using learning model to improve learning outcomes of students from 76.83% in the first cycle to 84.26% in the second cycle with an increase of 7.43%. Affective abilities of students included in either category 76.5%. Students' response to the learning model of problem solving in learning solubility and solubility product showed a positive response of 85.8%.Keywords : problem solving, solubility and solubility product,learning out comes

Abstract

Abstract: Changes in the curriculum requires students to be more active, creative, and love of nature. Then, the addition of learning resources should also be emphasized, that is not the lack of information learned. Source of learning is learning system components are designed, selected, used to create a complete learning and controlled. Exploiting local potential to become a reference source of student learning, the material vertebrates. Vertebrates material is one material that is easily found in the neighborhood. One type of Vertebrates are easy to find fish. Panjaratan river is one of the rivers that have quite a lot of fish that can potentially be used as an additional reference source of learning. This research aimed to describe the results of the development of teaching materials of the river fish species Panjaratan in valid criteria. Research method used Research and Development. It contains how to develop teaching materials with some phase like validity by expert, and its revise. The data source used was involved 3 lecturer Lambung Mangkurat University and students from Pelaihari Senior High School 1. The results showed teaching materials are made is quite valid based on the validation expert (81,2%) and partner teachers (87,9%), and the test showed that the readability of teaching materials by students is worth using.Keywords: valid, teaching materials, river, pisces

Abstract

A study concerning the application of the picture and picture on the earth's surface appearance of learning materials. The application of the model picture and picture are expected to impact positively on students' interest and motivation in learning, so as to increase student learning outcomes in the material. This study aims to (1) increase the activity of students (2) improve science learning outcomes. The study used a classroom action research with 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects were third grade students of SDN Binturu totaling 26 students. The research instrument in the form of test instruments test objective type questions and non-test instruments such as observation and interviews. The research concludes (1) student activities has increased from 58.04% in Cycle 1 to 87.5% in Cycle 2 (2) student learning outcomes increased from 53.85 to 80.77 at cycle 1 to cycle 2.Keywords: picture and picture, the appearance of the surface of the earth, learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract.  The galam forest is a typical forest in South Kalimantan which is capable of growing on peat land. Generally, galam leaves are used as an herbal medicine and the fruits are used as a substitute for pepper as well as herbs additional material. Galam potential that can be used as herbs underlying the research done on phytochemical screening analysis, antioxidant activity and the fenol-flavonoid total level. Analysis was done to leaves and fruit ethanol extract of a galam plant. Compounds of secondary metabolite of alkaloid, polyphenol, quinone, flavonoid and saponin were found in galam leaves ethanol extract. Fruit ethanol extract contained compounds of  the polyphenol, quinone, flavonoid and saponin.  The total concentration of phenol from galam leaves and fruit ethanol extract were defined by using Folin-Ciocalteu method and the results were each 18,3615 ppm and 40,2926 ppm while the total of phenol level were as much as 16,52535 mg GAE/mg of extract and 36,26334 mg GAE/mg of extract . The total concentration of flavonoid was specified by using the method of AlCl3 and the values were 0,1146 ppm and 0,0076 ppm . The total levels of leaves and fruit extract flavonoid were as much as 0,3438 mg QE/g of extract and 0,0228 mg QE/g of extract. Antioxidant activity was specified by using DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2- picrylhidrazyl) method with ascorbic acid as the comparison compounds. Antioxidant testing result showed that the values of leaves ethanol extract IC50 were 54,4906 ppm and 37,3752 ppm, while ascorbic acid was 9,887 ppm .

Abstract

The reasearch problem at junior high school  level is teacher-center learning, monotonous, and less interactive. The classroom action research implementing peer interactions method on redox reaction concept was conducted. The  research purposes are to increase student intrest and learning outcome to the implementation of peer-interactions method. This action research class that were invoved 22 students class Xc of MAN 2 Paringin as subject research. It was found that student’s comprehention in mastery learning increased from 40,91% at first cycle to 86,39% at second cycle, student’s intrest in very good category in learning process.  Key word : Peer-interactions method,  student intrest and learning outcome, redox reactions.
