Abstract

Abstract

Clay is ground that has some properties bad that can interfere with the strength of a building construction so that the construction that can experience damage physically are not able to be predicted. Bad Character by soil clay are relatively large, high plasticity, and strong low shear value. With the development of soil mechanics, various soil improvement methods can be used to solve this situation. An alternative that can be used as a soil stabilizer is coconut fiber. Selection of coconut fibers as mixed material because coconut fibers can add strong sliding soil, material that is easy to pass water. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of adding coconut fiber on the value of clay stabilizers.. The research method used is field survey and sempel retrieval method is with laboratory analysis approach, where strong shear testing is carried out three times with variations of coconut fiber as much as 0.5%, 1% and 1.5% with coconut fiber length of 3 cm and 5 cm. From the test results the largest increase in the addition of coconut fiber with a percentage of 1.5% of the length of coconut fibers 3 cm and 5 cm in clay increased the angle of shear of the soil (ø) by 170 and 280, cohesion (c) of 0.2387 kg/cm2 and 0.2383 kg/cm2, shear strength (τ) of 0.281 kg/cm2 and 0.312 kg/cm2, or it can be said that the addition of 1.5% coconut fiber will increase the strong value of shear by 47.3% and 63.46%.

Abstract

According to the Badan Pusat Statistik data in 2018, the total area of oil palm plantations in Indonesia currently reaches around 12.3 million hectares. Solid waste is the most waste, which is around 35-40% of the total Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) which is processed in the form of empty fruit bunches, fiber, fruit shells, and burnt ash. PT. Hasnur Citra Terpadu in Rantau, Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan is one of the Palm Oil Mill which in the combustion process of a boiler engine using oil palm shells and fibers is burned simultaneously. The result of the combustion process produces waste in the form of boiler crust ash which is fine textured (fly ash) and coarse textured (bottom ash). This study uses fly ash as a cement substitution for concrete mixtures. The making of mortar specimens was varied with fly ash with a percentage of 0%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% which will be tested for compressive strength at the age of 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, 21 days, and 28 days. Then the making of concrete specimens is planned with a quality of 25 MPa and the concrete compressive strength is tested at the age of 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, 28 days and 56 days and the split tensile strength test of the concrete at 28 days. Based on the results of the mortar compressive strength analysis, the optimum mixture of fly ash is 10% which is used for making concrete. The average compressive strength of normal concrete at 28 days is 26.33 MPa and the compressive strength of concrete with 10% fly ash (optimum concrete) is 26.14 MPa exceeding the design compressive strength of 25 MPa. Based on the results of the split tensile strength test of concrete at the age of 28 days, it was obtained 3,914 MPa for normal concrete and 3,466 MPa for optimum concrete.

Abstract

Soil compaction is required so that the embankment is strong and balanced with structural and non-structural loads. One of the efforts to handle soil with low bearing capacity is to change the subgrade using soil that is considered good. Therefore, an attempt was made to estimate the density of the soil in the field by conducting a sand cone test on the selected embankment material on the Yos Sudarso road work, Palangka Raya City. The sample used in this study came from Hampangen Village, Kasongan Baru Village, Katingan Hilir District, Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. The results of tests carried out on laboratory density testing and sand cone testing on Yos Sudarso Street, Palangka Raya City can be ascertained that the density obtained from dry soil density γdry = 1.29 g/cm3, maximum dry density γd lab = 1.35 g/cm3 γdr / γd lab x100 = Dr. So the approved density is Dr = 95.86%.

Abstract

South Barito Regency is one of the regencies in province of Central Kalimantan. South Barito Regency is a regency whose developing quite rapid because in terms of its geographical location, South Barito Regency passed by national road and become a place of transit which also led to an increase in population and economic needs, especially the need for clean water. There are still areas experiencing water shortage problems because of the difficulty of distributing clean water. The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of water needs for 2017, 2021, 2026, 2031, and 2036 to serve the needs of community and also determine the water quality at the intake, and comparing water demand with intake capacity. In this study, the calculation of population projections using statistical methods in which to pay attention to the rate of population growth of the past to estimate the number of people in the future. There are several methods that can be used to analyze the population growth in the future, namely arithmetic, geometric, linear regression, exponential, and logarithmic. For water quality check, field survey is needed to test parameters such as temperature, electrical conductivity, the amount of dissolved solids, pH, turbidity, salinity, and dissolved oxygen measurements. Results of this research is needed clean water discharge Barito Selatan with consecutive results as follows in 2017; 2021; 2026; 2031; In 2036 amounted to 305.14 L / s, 429.55 L / s, 599.58 L / s, 755.02 L / s, 794.94 L / s .With intake capacity which is now only 184.5 L / s, it can be said that the need for clean water unfulfilled. In the aspect of water quality, source of raw water used by Water Supply Company of South Barito has not meet the standards in terms of pH and turbidity, so the use of water is not safe for the people of South Barito Regency.

Abstract

Planning is an important and vital function in construction development activities, therefore a building requires the stages of construction of a State Building which is something that must be understood thoroughly and in-depth. Considering that the stages of the construction of a State Building were previously only intended for buildings financed by financial resources from the APBN, since the issuance and promulgation of Presidential Regulation Number 73 of 2011 concerning the Construction of State Building that all buildings whose construction is financed from funding sources both from the APBN and from the APBD must comply with the provisions regulated by the Presidential Regulation. Understanding of the stages of the construction of State Buildings is important, considering that this stage is a sequence of processes that are closely related to the fulfillment of administrative and technical requirements for State Buildings, so that state buildings are state/regional property for official purposes and as venues for the event of government apparatus activities which must be functional, meet building safety, and the development implementation process is carried out in an orderly, effective, efficient, economical, not excessive, and environmentally friendly. This study aimed to find how to carry out technical planning along with the stages and how much was the estimated cost for planning the expansion and arrangement of library service buildings. From the research results, it can be concluded that technical planning produced documents in the form of 1) preparation stage reports; 2) report on the stages of the planning concept; 3) pre-planning stage documents; 4) document development stages of plans and detailed plans for buildings. The estimated cost for each component was divided into 5 divisions, namely the R3K division for Rp. 28,727,500.00, sitework division for Rp. 228,326,761.05, structural division for Rp. 1,769,109,715.79, architectural division for Rp. 1,661,172,550.79, and electrical, mechanical, and plumbing division for Rp. 260,391. 160.28, then the total amount was added with 10% VAT and was rounded up, so that the Total Cost Budget Plan was Rp. 4,342,000,000.00 (four billion three hundred forty-two million and five hundred thousand rupiah).
