Indonesian Language Education and Literature is a journal of research publication. The scopes of this research are Indonesian language and literature teaching, either as the first, second, or foreign language. The research can be conducted in elementary schools, junior high schools, senior high schools, and / or university. Abstract

The objectives of this research are to describe and explain (1) the process of writing anecdote text based on the 2013 Curriculum and its 2016 revision conducted by the teachers of Indonesia Language subjects in class X SMK Negeri 1 Gondang Sragen, (2) the existing obstacles in the process of writing anecdote text of the 2013 Curriculum and its 2016 revision in class X SMK Negeri 1 Gondang Sragen, and 3) the teachers’ efforts to overcome the obstacles encountered in the process of writing anecdotal text based on the 2013 Curriculum and its 2016 revision in class X SMK Negeri 1 Gondang Sragen. This qualitative research used a case study approach. The data sources in this research were events (the process of writing anecdote text), informants (teachers and students), and documents (the syllabus and lesson plan). The results show that the implementation of learning to write anecdotal text based on the 2013 Curriculum and its 2016 revision needs a more in-depth assessment in order to improve planning, implementation, and assessment. It is also based on the encountered obstacles occurred in the learning processes. Thus, the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum and its 2016 revision is in line with the concepts and regulations of the government. This is also implied for the achievement of national education objectives. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan pembelajaran menulis teks anekdot Kurikulum 2013 revisi 2016 yang dilakukan oleh guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas X SMK Negeri 1 Gondang Kabupaten Sragen, kendala-kendala, serta upaya-upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah peristiwa pembelajaran menulis teks anekdot, informan (guru dan siswa), dan dokumen (silabus dan RPP). Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa implementasi Kurikulum 2013 revisi 2016 pada pembelajaran menulis teks anekdot masih membutuhkan pengkajian lebih mendalam supaya dapat meningkatkan perbaikan implementasi, baik dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, maupun penilaian mengingat masih sering adanya kendala-kendala yang dijumpai dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, implementasi Kurikulum 2013 revisi 2016 yang sejalan dan selarasdengan tata konsep dan peraturan yang sudah ditentukan pemerintah dapat terwujud, juga berimplikasi pada ketercapaian tujuan pendidikan nasional.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are (1) to analyze the development model of Indonesian language teaching materials for foreign speakers and (2) combine the existing models. The analysis of this theory based on the results of research and development has been undertaken by BIPA IPB. The research had been conducted from August 2015 to Februrai 2017. Eight models were the research objects to analyze, namely a) ADDIE models, b) Dick, Carey, and Carey models, c) Borg and Gall models, d) ASSURE models, Kemp models, f) Tomlinson models, g) Brown models, and h) Jolly and Bolitho models.The research result shows models that have been modified in three main parts, namely 1) preparation, 2) planning, and 3) development-evaluation. These three parts can be broken down into 17 sections, such as 1) curriculum, 2) needs analysis, 3) syllabus, 4) text collection, 5) text selection, 6) material creation, 7) draft I, 8) preparation of test questions, 9) one to one test, 10) revision I , 11) draft II, 12) small group trial, 13) revision II, 14) draft III, 15) effectiveness test, 16) revision III, and 17) final product. The conclusion is that each model has its advantages and disadvantages. The development of Indonesian language teaching material models for foreign speakers can be undertaken by combining development research models that have been formulated by experts.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis model pengembangan materi ajar bahasa Indonesia bagi penutur asing dan mengombinasikan model-model yang ada. Analisis teori ini berdasarkan hasil  penelitian dan pengembangan yang telah dilakukan di BIPA IPB. Penelitian dilakukan sejak Agustus 2015--Februari 2017.  Objek yang dianalisis ada delapan model: a)  model ADDIE, b) model Dick, Carey, dan Carey, c) model Borg dan Gall, d) model ASSURE, e) model Kemp, f) Tomlinson, g) Brown, dan h) Jolly dan Bolitho. Hasilnya, dari delapan model yang dianalisis, dapat dirumuskan model yang telah dimodifikasi. Ada tiga bagian utamanya, yaitu 1) persiapan, 2) perencanaan, dan 3) pengembangan-evaluasi. Dari 3 bagian itu dapat diuraikan menjadi 17 bagian: 1) kurikulum, 2) analisis kebutuhan, 3) silabus, 4) pengumpulan teks, 5) pemilahan teks, 6) pengkreasian materi, 7) draf I, 8) penyusunan soal tes, 9) uji one to one, 10) revisi I, 11) draf II, 12) uji coba kelompok kecil, 13) revisi II, 14) draf III, 15) uji efektivitas, 16) revisi III, dan 17) produk final. Simpulannya adalah setiap model itu memiliki kelebih dan kekurangan. Pengembangan model materi ajar bahasa Indonesia bagi penutur asing dapat dilakukan dengan mengombinasikan model-model penelitian pengembangan yang sudah dirumuskan para pakar.

Abstract

Human life today is inseparable from the influence of television. Various information can be obtained quickly. To meet the entertainment needs of humans/television viewers, television always inserts advertisements. Besides having commercial purposes, advertising also has the value of the information contained in it. Advertisers, both private and government, try to introduce and invite the public to do what the advertiser wants. Advertisers try to convey messages to consumers or the public in the form of meaningful symbols through mass media which are usually in the form of television, radio, and newspapers. The symbol of meaning is language. Language is used as a communication tool in advertising even though there are many other communication tools, such as images and sounds. The shape of the symbol, namely the language used as a communication tool in advertising has its own meaning. Kehidupan manusia saat ini tidak terlepas dari pengaruh televisi. Berbagai informasi dapat diperoleh dengan cepat. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hiburan manusia/pemirsa televisi, televisi selalu menyisipkan tayangan iklan. Di samping memiliki tujuan komersil, iklan juga memiliki nilai informasi yang terkandung di dalamnya. Para pengiklan baik swasta maupun pemerintah berusaha untuk memperkenalkan serta mengajak masyarakat dapat melakukan apa yang diharapkan oleh pembuat iklan. Pembuat iklan berusaha untuk menyampaikan pesan kepada konsumen atau masyarakat dalam bentuk lambang bermakna melalui media massa yang biasanya berupa televisi, radio dan surat kabar. Lambang makna yang dimaksud adalah bahasa. Bahasa digunakan sebagai alat komunikasi dalam periklanan walaupun masih banyak lagi alat komunikasi yang lain, seperti gambar, dan bunyi. Bentuk lambang yaitu bahasa yang digunakan sebagai alat komunikasi dalam periklanan memiliki makna tersendiri.

Abstract

There are still many Indonesian language teacher candidates who have not mastered syntax. This article describes the results of Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) activities carried out in the Indonesian language education study program STKIP Siliwangi (now IKIP Siliwangi) with the aim of regular students, fifth semester who are taking a syntax course. The learning method used is discovery learning plus because in its implementation it integrates the use of mind mapping methods in the learning steps of discovery learning methods. From the results of data analysis shows that the application of discovery learning methods plus through LSLC can improve student learning outcomes in syntactic courses. Improved learning outcomes can be seen from the recap percentage, in the first cycle students who were able to answer questions were 52.19%, cycle 2 59.06%, and cycle 3 were 86.56%. In addition, the four abilities of students who were the focus of this program's observations also increased.Masih banyak calon guru bahasa Indonesia yang belum menguasai sintaksis. Artikel ini mendeskripsikan hasil kegiatan Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) yang dilaksanakan pada program studi pendidikan bahasa Indonesia STKIP Siliwangi (sekarang IKIP Siliwangi) dengan sasaran mahasiswa reguler, semester lima yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah sintaksis. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah discovery learning plus karena dalam pengimplementasiannya mengintegrasikan penggunaan metode mind mapping dalam langkah-langkah pembelajaran metode discovery learning. Dari hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode discovery learning plus melalui LSLC dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa dalam mata kuliah sintaksis. Peningkatan hasil belajar dapat dilihat dari rekap persentase, pada siklus 1 mahasiswa yang mampu menjawab soal sebesar 52,19%, siklus 2 59,06%, dan siklus 3 sebesar 86,56%. Selain itu, empat kemampuan mahasiswa yang menjadi fokus pengamatan program ini, juga mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract

This research examines and analyzes the integrity of the main characters in the film The Ron Clark Story by Randa Haines through the depiction of the basic dimensions of man. The film Ron Clark Story tells of a teacher named Ron Clark, he is a teacher who excels. However, because he wanted to have new experiences he moved to the big city of New York. Clark is a figure who has self-integrity, despite many obstacles and obstacles in realizing self-integrity. The self-integrity of Ron Clark's character is examined through the depiction of basic human dimensions which consist of: physical dimensions, psychological dimensions, and social dimensions. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis integritas diri tokoh utama pada film The Ron Clark Story Karya Randa Haines melalui penggambaran dimensi dasar manusia. Film The Ron Clark Story menceritakan tentang seorang guru bernama Ron Clark, dia merupakan guru yang berprestasi. Akan tetapi, karena ingin mempunyai pengalaman baru dia pindah ke kota besar New York. Clark merupakan tokoh yang mempunyai integritas diri, walaupun banyak halangan dan hambatan dalam mewujudkan integritas diri. Integritas diri tokoh Ron Clark dikaji melalui penggambaran dimensi dasar manusia yang terdiri atas: dimensi fisik, dimensi psikis, dan dimensi sosial.

Abstract

Various problems arise in the application of the 2013 curriculum, especially the authentic assessment system. This study tries to describe the various problems that arise, the factors that cause debate, and efforts to overcome them. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The source of information for the research came from two female teachers at Sukoharjo 1 & 3 SMPN and one male teacher from Al-Azhar Islamic Middle School 21 Solo Baru. The data validity technique is done through data triangulation. Data obtained through observation, interviews, and document analysis are all complementary. The results showed that: a) understanding the teacher about authentic assessment still varied, b) limiting the time in applying authentic assessment, c) the teacher did not check the instrument to be used, d) the teacher who often did not conduct the research process in learning, e) processing the value of learning outcomes received by the teacher is too complicated and complicated, also f) the minimum reading power of the teacher to study books about authentic assessment. One of the causes is internal and external factors. Internal factors come from within (teachers and students), while external factors come from outside the teacher's ability. Berbagai permasalahan muncul dalam penerapan kurikulum 2013, khususnya sistem penilaian autentik aspek keterampilan berbicara di SMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan berbagai permasalahan yang muncul, faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan permasalahan, dan upaya untuk mengatasinya. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Sumber informasi penelitian berasal dari dua guru perempuan di SMPN 1 & 3 Sukoharjo dan satu guru laki-laki dari SMP Islam Al-Azhar 21 Solo Baru. Teknik keabsahan data dilakukan melalui triangulasi data. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen semuanya saling melengkapi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: a) pemahaman guru tentang penilaian autentik masih bervariasi, b) keterbatasan waktu dalam penerapan penilaian autentik, c) guru tidak mau mengecek instrumen penilaian yang akan digunakan, d) guru sering tidak melakukan penilaian proses dalam pembelajaran, e) pengolahan nilai hasil belajar yang dirasakan guru terlalu rumit dan kompleks, serta f) minimnya daya baca guru untuk mengkaji buku-buku mengenai penilaian autentik. Adapun faktor penyebab permasalahan adalah faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal berasal dari dalam (guru dan siswa), sedangkan faktor eksternal berasal dari luar kemampuan guru.

Abstract

An official letter created and issued by an institution can be one indicator, whether or not the institution. This study aims to describe the language used in the official letter of the Cirebon City Religious Office. This descriptive qualitative research takes data in the form of letters issued from January to March 2019. Based on the analysis it can be concluded that the writing of the address, writing the name, writing the day, writing the affix, greeting, closing greeting, describing the description of time, lacking letters or words, particles, and pre-bound forms. The factors causing language errors, among others: copy-paste, do not know, not careful, and do not care. Therefore, it is recommended that socialization of PUEBI and KBBI V be implemented, Law No. 24 of 2009, training in writing official letters, and preparing guidelines for writing official letters.Surat resmi yang dibuat dan diterbitkan oleh suatu lembaga dapat menjadi salah satu indikator, baik tidaknya lembaga tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bahasa yang digunakan pada surat resmi Kantor Agama Kota Cirebon. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini mengambil data berupa surat yang diterbitkan dari Januari sampai Maret 2019. Berdasarkan analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa penulisan alamat, penulisan nama, penulisan hari, penulisan imbuhan, salam pembuka, salam penutup, pemerian keterangan waktu, kurang huruf atau kata, partikel, dan bentuk terikat pra-. Adapun faktor penyebab kesalahan bahasa, antara lain: salin tempel, tidak tahu, kurang teliti, serta tidak peduli. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar dilakukan sosialisasi PUEBI dan KBBI V, penerapan UU No. 24 Tahun 2009, pelatihan penulisan surat dinas, serta penyusunan pedoman penulisan surat dinas.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the struggle of the character in the novel Arus Balik. The method used is the content analysis method. Data is obtained by reading and recording techniques. Data were analyzed with qualitative descriptive analysis techniques through data comparison, categorization, data presentation, and inference. The results showed that the struggle of the character in the Arus Balik novel by Pramoedya Ananta Toer consisted of heroism (28%), nationalism (33%), never giving up (25%), kinship (9%), and selflessness (5%). The value of the struggle for heroism consists of being wary of the enemy, defending the people, defending the truth, selflessness, daring to die, being responsible, and commanding authority. The value of nationalism consists of love for the flag itself, loyal to the leader, thinking about the safety of the country, supporting the struggle to defend the country, and participating in defending the country. The value of the unyielding struggle consists of fighting to the death and believing in your abilities. Meanwhile, the value of selfless struggle consists in overcoming not expecting respect and not expecting office.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perjuangan tokoh dalam novel Arus Balik dengan metode analisis isi. Data diperoleh dengan teknik membaca dan mencatat. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif melalui perbandingan antardata, kategorisasi, penyajian data, dan inferensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perjuangan tokoh dalam novel Arus Balik karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer terdiri atas heroisme (28%), nasionalisme (33%), pantang menyerah (25%), kekeluargaan (9%), dan tanpa pamrih (5%). Nilai perjuangan heroisme terdiri atas waspada terhadap musuh, membela rakyat, membela kebenaran, tidak mementingkan diri sendiri, berani mati, bertanggung jawab, serta berwibawa memimpin pasukan. Nilai nasionalisme terdiri atas cinta pada bendera sendiri, setia pada pemimpin, memikirkan keselamatan negara, mendukung perjuangan bela negara, serta ikut serta membela negara. Nilai perjuangan pantang menyerah terdiri atas melawan sampai mati dan percaya kepada kemampuan sendiri. Sementara itu, nilai perjuangan tanpa pamrih terdiri atas tidak mengharapkan penghormatan dan tidak mengharapkan jabatan.

Abstract

The Kinanti novel will be reviewed using literature on psychology. This study aims to describe and explain the main character and personality based on Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory and its relevance to the learning of literature in Higher Education. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data collected is in the form of words, sentences, and dialogues between the groups contained in the novel Kinanti data source by Margaret Widhy Pratiwi. Data collection techniques used in this study were referring note-taking, and interview techniques. The data validity used is data triangulation. The data analysis technique used is to trace the personality of the main character. Kinanti as the main character has three characters, namely: selfhood, inner attitude, and looking for a true teacher. The Kinanti novel can portray the character of an independent and socially caring Javanese society.Novel Kinanti akan diulas menggunakan kajian psikologi sastra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan tokoh utama serta kepribadiannya berdasarkan teori psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud dan relevansinya terhadap pembelajaran sastra di Perguruan Tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah berupa kata-kata, kalimat, dan dialog antartokoh yang terdapat dalam sumber data novel Kinanti karya Margareth Widhy Pratiwi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik simak, catat, dan wawancara. Validitas data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi data. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan, yaitu menelusuri kepribadian tokoh utama. Kinanti sebagai tokoh utama memiliki tiga karakter, yakni: kedirian, sikap batin, dan mencari guru sejati. Novel Kinanti dapat mengambarkan karakter masyarakat Jawa yang mandiri dan peduli sosial.

Abstract

Poetry as a literary work has an aesthetic value in it. However, in practice often the reader does not understand the implicit meaning in it. For example, the aspect of religiosity that is often overlooked in a poem that is trying to be communicated using a semiotic element. This study aims to describe the values of religiosity in the collection of Tadarus poetry (1) through the depiction of icons, (2) through the depiction of indices, and (3) through the depiction of symbols. This study uses a qualitative research design, the method used is descriptive, while the approach used is semiotic. From the analysis of semiotics it was found that Tadarus's poetry often included semiotic elements in his stanzas.Puisi sebagai suatu karya sastra memiliki nilai estetik di dalamnya. Akan tetapi, dalam praktiknya sering kali pembaca tidak memahami makna tersirat di dalamnya. Misalnya saja aspek religiusitas yang sering kali diabaikan di dalam suatu puisi yang coba dikomunikasikan menggunakan unsur semiotik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk, mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai religiusitas dalam kumpulan puisi Tadarus (1) melalui penggambaran ikon, (2) melalui penggambaran indeks, dan (3) melalui penggambaran simbol. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif, metode yang digunakan deskriptif, sedangkan pendekatan yang digunakan semiotik. Dari analisis semiotika ditemukan bahwa puisi Tadarus banyak menyisipkan unsur semiotika di dalam bait-baitnya.
