Abstract

Javanese literary works are reflections of the scriptwriters real world. Ketoprak script is one of the literary works of the traditional Javanese drama genre. There are several kinds of ketoprak scripts in Java and each region has different aspects. Each ketoprak text can reflect the social condition of its native area when analyzed by sociological literary-approach. Sociology of literature is a study that connects literature with its social reality. Classical ketoprak script of Surakarta style viewed from the perspective of sociological literature is a reflection of the socio-cultural life of the community in Surakarta. It is seen from a socio-historical perspective, socio-cultural, and linguistic aspects used in the classical ketoprak script of Surakarta style. These three aspects make the classical ketoprak script of Surakarta style has a local specificity and characteristics that distinguish it from other Javanese literature.Keywords: sociological aspect, local specificity, Javanese literature, classical ketoprak script

Abstract

Writing poetry learning is a productive learning activity. Based on the results of interviewing teachers, there are problems in writing poetry learning at Vocational High School 1 Sukoharjo, which is difficult for the students to determine the themes, the use of diction and the less different metaphors, and the mismatch of the message with the contents of the poem. Besides, the students' motivation in following the lesson is still low. This study aims to improve learning motivation and writing skills with audiovisual media. This research is class action research that is held two-cycle. Each cycle consists of action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data research sources are through learning activity, informan, and documents. The data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and test. The validity of data was investigated through triangulation techniques of data sources and methods. The data analysis technique used in this research are comparative descriptive techniques and critical analysis technique. The results showed that the use of audiovisual media could increase learning motivation by 5.71% in pre-action, 61,76% in the first cycle, and 97,14% in the second cycle. The use of audiovisual media can also improve students' poetry writing skills by 17% in pre-action, 66% in the first cycle, and 91% in the second cycle.

Abstract

Ketoprak merupakan seni tradisional Jawa yang lahir dan berkembang dari kalangan masyarakat, sehingga seni ketoprak sangat kental dengan nilai yang relevan dengan kehidupan masyarakat Jawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan mengenai potret sosial masyarakat Jawa yang tercermin dalam naskah ketoprak klasik gaya Surakarta. Penelitian ini berbentuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra pada naskah ketoprak klasik gaya Surakarta. Sumber data primer dalam penelitian adalah naskah ketoprak dengan judul Ronggolawe Gugur, Pandanaran Mbalela, dan Ki Ageng Mangir Wonoboyo. Setelah dilakukan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam naskah ketoprak klasik gaya Surakarta terdapat potret sosial masyarakat Jawa yang tercermin dari kon ik dan masalah yang dibahas dalam ketiga naskah tersebut, nilai sosial yang tercermin, dan bahasa yang digunakan. Kon ik yang terdapat dalam ketiga naskah ketoprak tersebut berkaitan dengan masalah bela negara, budaya perjodohan kalangan masyarakat Jawa, nilai pertemanan, dan permasalahan kekuasaan. Dari analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam naskah ketoprak klasik gaya Surakarta terdapat re eksi dari kehidupan sosial masyarakat Jawa ditinjau dari aspek bahasa, sistem nilai, dan permasalahan sosial yang dibahas.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe Javanese women’s patriotism in the ketoprak manuscript “Kyai Kala Gumarang”. This qualitative descriptive study used a content analysis technique to analyze the data. The main data source was the ketoprak manuscript titled “Kyai Kala Gumarang”. Library research methods were employed to collect the data. Data analysis techniques using interwoven analysis techniques and interactive analysis with a feminist approach. The results of the study showed that the words, phrases, and sentences in the manuscript indicated that women had a key role as an important messenger of the kingdom, as a distraction, and as soldiers defending the homeland.

Abstract

The Screen printing is a technique for placing ink with a certain process on fabric in various shapes, images and colors. The skill of printing images on cloth and t-shirts has a prospect as an effort to improve creative skills and create independent job opportunities for young people. This screen printing process training was given to members of youth organizations in Tegalharjo Village, Eromoko District, Wonogiri Regency. So far, most of the livelihoods of the residents of Tegalharjo Village are farmers. The results of the training showed a significant improvement in skills and the youth's enthusiasm to open screen printing entrepreneurial opportunities to fill their spare time during the break after the planting season was over. Creation copyright training and screen printing processes are one of the roles of the academic community which are expected to be widely applied to entrepreneurial activities to reduce unemployment and create jobs in Tegalharjo Village.

Abstract

Identifikasi unsur pembangun cerita pendek menjadi salah satu kompetensi yang harus dikuasai peserta didik melalui pembelajaran sastra di sekolah. Penggunaan cerpen-cerpen yang tidak mutakhir dapat berdampak pada kurang efektifnya pembelajaran teks cerpen serta minimnya pengetahuan peserta didik mengenai ragam jenis cerpen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan (1) unsur-unsur intrinsik (tema, alur, penokohan, latar, sudut pandang, dan amanat) dan ekstrinsik yang membangun cerpen Teh dan Pengkhianat karya Iksaka Banu serta (2) pemanfaatan hasil analisis unsur pembangun cerpen Teh dan Pengkhianat sebagai materi ajar teks cerpen di SMA kelas XI. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan objektif. Sumber data berupa dokumen cerpen Teh dan Pengkhianat karya Iksaka Banu dan instrumen penilaian materi ajar versi BSNP serta dua orang informan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu analisis dokumen dan wawancara terstruktur. Uji validitas data menggunakan triangulasi teori dan triangulasi sumber. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) cerpen Teh dan Pengkhianat karya Iksaka Banu dibangun oleh unsur-unsur intrinsik (tema, alur, penokohan, latar, sudut pandang dan amanat) dan ekstrinsik (latar belakang pengarang, kondisi sosial budaya, dan kondisi lingkungan tempat cerpen dikarang) yang kesemuanya saling berhubungan; (2) hasil analisis unsur pembangun cerpen Teh dan Pengkhianat karya Iksaka Banu dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai materi ajar teks cerpen di SMA dalam bentuk modul pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dan memenuhi kriteria materi ajar versi BSNP.

Abstract

The Kinanti novel will be reviewed using literature on psychology. This study aims to describe and explain the main character and personality based on Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory and its relevance to the learning of literature in Higher Education. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data collected is in the form of words, sentences, and dialogues between the groups contained in the novel Kinanti data source by Margaret Widhy Pratiwi. Data collection techniques used in this study were referring note-taking, and interview techniques. The data validity used is data triangulation. The data analysis technique used is to trace the personality of the main character. Kinanti as the main character has three characters, namely: selfhood, inner attitude, and looking for a true teacher. The Kinanti novel can portray the character of an independent and socially caring Javanese society.Novel Kinanti akan diulas menggunakan kajian psikologi sastra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan tokoh utama serta kepribadiannya berdasarkan teori psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud dan relevansinya terhadap pembelajaran sastra di Perguruan Tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah berupa kata-kata, kalimat, dan dialog antartokoh yang terdapat dalam sumber data novel Kinanti karya Margareth Widhy Pratiwi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik simak, catat, dan wawancara. Validitas data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi data. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan, yaitu menelusuri kepribadian tokoh utama. Kinanti sebagai tokoh utama memiliki tiga karakter, yakni: kedirian, sikap batin, dan mencari guru sejati. Novel Kinanti dapat mengambarkan karakter masyarakat Jawa yang mandiri dan peduli sosial.

Abstract

This study aimed to: (1) identify the kind of students' difficulties in learning literature; (2) find out the kind of teacher's difficulties and errors in teaching literature; (3) find out the concept of using various resources study and facilities in learning literature that are available at school and society; and (4) find out a model of teaching literature that is suitable for junior high school students. The method of the research was a classroom action research. The research was conducted at SLTP 4 Surakarta from August to November 2000, consisting of 3 cycles learning activities by implementing practice-active approach. The practice-active approach is a strategy to unite between teaching learning activity in the classroom with any literature studies' activities outside theschoolbymeansofutilizingfacilitiesandresourcesstudiesavailableinthesociety.To enhance the student's understanding and appreciation to the literature being studied, the students were exposed directly to the literature followed by reading, analyzing, and practicing to write prose and poem based on the model available. The research result showed that the implementation of practice-active approach, in fact, did solve various students' and teachers' difficulty in the learning and teaching literature. After carrying the action, the students' capability in comprehending literature as well as their appreciationoftheliteratureimproved.

Abstract

Javanese society was awarded a noble cultural heritage. Every Javanese tradition and literature always contains the teachings of the value of goodness in it, including Serat Wedhatama pupuh Gambuh by KGPAA Mangkunegara IV. Serat Wedhatama pupuh Gambuh contains the value of Islamic religiosity, which is very important to be studied considering the occurrence of moral degradation among generations of the nation. Weak religious values are one of the factors in this moral degradation. So that this study is important to do with the hope that it can contribute to the cultivation of religious and cultural values to the nation's generation. The results of this study indicate that there is a value of Islamic religiosity in Serat Wedhatama pupuh Gambuh. These values can be used as parameters and guidelines for life. This study can also be used as a solution to answer the condition of the people who are in the midst of deculturation and dereligiosity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya pemahamaan masyarakat dalam memahami sebuah wacana, khususnya tentang pencegahan dan penanganan Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan bentuk analisis wacana tekstual dalam dialog poster edukasi Covid-19 yang diunggah dalam akun Instagram Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian ini berupa tiga poster dialog edukasi Covid-19 dalam unggahan akun Instagram Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia (@kemenkes_ri). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan analisis dokumen. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi teori. Analisis data menggunakan analisis mengalir. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa analisis wacana tekstual pada aspek gramatikal didominasi bentuk pengacuan sebanyak 51% dan pada aspek leksikal didominasi bentuk repetisi sebanyak 67%. Pengacuan karena mendominasi setiap tuturan atau kalimat tidak lepas dari keinginan yang mengikuti atau mengikutinya. Repetisi karena digunakan untuk mempertegas maksud yang ingin disampaikan oleh khususnya untuk mengedukasi masyarakat terkait pandemi Covid-19.
