Abstract

This Development Research develops teaching materials based on Realistic Mathematic Education for third semester students in the SD / MI Mathematics subject of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program. The purpose of mathematics learning is for students to be proficient in mathematical abilities, to support it, it needs good media, one of the teaching materials. Students 'perceptions of teaching materials used so far have not led to the development of students' mathematical abilities. Students assess teaching material does not yet contain the learning context to build initial knowledge and relate material to day-to-day experiences. For that lecturers and students need teaching materials that are easy, practical and efficient to develop mathematical abilities. RME is an approach whose activities further emphasize the context and interactivity of students in developing mathematical abilities. The concepts contained in teaching materials are related to the experiences of everyday life. Teaching materials developed based on the results of perceptions and needs of lecturers and students, then validated by experts, then revisions based on suggestions from the validator.

Abstract

Application of Six Sigma Dmaic and Kaizen Methods In Efforts to Improve The Quality of T-Shirt Isles Banana Seven Products in Textile Industry. Textile Industry Company is a company engaged in manufacturing that produces textiles and garments. The Textile Industry Company in producing isles banana seven t-shirt clothing has a problem, namely the relatively large number of defects in production. The percentage of company disability in producing isles banana seven t-shirt clothing can reach 13%. see problems in the Textile Industry Company company that has a high percentage of product defects. Researchers will conduct quality control with the six sigma and kaizen DMAIC methods to reduce the number of disabilities and control disability in companies in producing isles banana seven t-shirt products. Critical To Quality (CTQ) for the most defects in the product of banana seven t-shirt is 4, namely jumping stitches (25.15%), broken stitching (23.96%), gross (22.50%), and perforated (14) , 63%). The DPMO for the isles banana seven t-shirt is 24336 units with a sigma capability of 3.47-sigma. The results of the analysis in kaizen prioritize the need for periodic checks of all facilities used.

Abstract

Percentage is found to be a familiar and challenging topic at the same time. Percentage has many application in daily life, yet many students still find it difficult. It might because many schools teach merely a formal procedure and pay less attention to the understanding of the reasoning behinds percentage ideas. This small study employed a design research and aimed at supporting students in understanding percentage by using bar model. Eleven 6th and 7th grade students of American International School of Rotterdam were participated in this study. A sequence of learning activities was designed to help students construct their understanding of percentage. The activities consisted of some rich contextual problems that lead to the emergence of bar model. The result revealed that the model can help students construct students’ knowledge of the relation among numbers in percentage, and also help them solve percentage problems systematically through some intermediate steps which include benchmarks.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning approaches and learning styles on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. This research was a quasi-experimental research with a 2x2 factorial design which was conducted at the Wahidin Vocational School in Cirebom City involving a sample of 70 students from a population of 335 students of class X. Sampling was done by random sampling technique. The research instrument used in the form of tests of mathematical reasoning ability and learning style questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using the two-way Anava test. Before the two-way anava test is tested, the analysis requirements test is the normality test and the variance homogeneity test. The results of this study are: (1) there is a difference in the effect of the RME learning approach and science on students' mathematical reasoning abilities; (2) There are differences in the influence of kinesthetic learning styles, and visual on students' mathematical reasoning abilities; (3) There is no interaction between learning approaches and learning styles.

Abstract

Manual recreation of AF4 and O2 electrodes in schizophrenia. This study aims to: a) Know the EEG signals in the brain in humans, b) find out how manual rearrangements of the AF4 electrode and O2 electrode in schizophrenic patients and c) find out how the interpolation method compares at the AF4 and O2 electrodes in schizophrenic patients.Rearrangement of AF4 and O2 electrode manuals in schizophrenic patients, there are various ways, namely (a) graph of results of analysis, (b) enlarge graph, (c) create intervals and intersection points, (d) fitting in matlab and (e) analysis. There is a difference between the interpolation method of Newton degree 4th polynomial with the Lagrange degree 4th polynomial interpolation method which is the percent error by using Newton degree 4th when the graph is at the beginning until it is at the top is still stable with the mean value of error 14.118 % as well as the polynomial error with using Lagrange degree 4 is much better than Newton's 4th order with an average percent error of 4.69 %. While there is an equation between Newton degree 1 interpolation method with interpolation method of Lagrange degree 1 polynomial on electrode O2 value of error 0%

Abstract

This research is to develop 2013 curriculum learning model using trigger Microsoft power point. This is an innovative learning model in order to enhance students’ creative thinking skill in mathematics problem solving. The research method is RND with qualitative research using data collecting techniques such as cheque list, observation, questioner, and problem-solving task. The sample of this research is primary students. The processes of developing this model are (a) initial investigation phase is to study literatures and collect the information, (b) design phase is to design the syntax of this model and create the lesson plans, worksheets, and learning materials, (c) realization phase is to do the syntax of this model and the learning materials, and (d) trial, evaluation, and revision phase is the syntax and the learning materials are validated by some validators, do some revisions, then these are evaluated or tried out in a class. This research results a valid, effective, and practical learning model that is able to enhance students’ creative thinking skill in mathematics problem solving. Thus, the 2013 curriculum using trigger Microsoft power point is a learning model that can be applied in primary school related to 2013 curriculum

Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect of algebraic finger-based brain gym methods on improving student learning outcomes. This study uses grade VII students MTs. Al-Hidayat Gerning consisting of 4 (four) classes as population, then by cluster random sampling technique obtained class VII A and VII B as research samples. This study uses a quasi-experimental method, the independent variable is the algebraic finger-based brain gym method and the dependent variable is the increase in learning outcomes. Data collection using test techniques, with the research instrument in the form of a matter of description which amounted to 6 questions that have been tested for validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and different power. Data analysis was performed using a t-test of 2 uncorrelated samples. The results revealed that the algebraic finger-based brain gym method has an influence on improving student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the increase in student learning outcomes after learning with the algebra finger-based brain gym method obtained an average of 56.25 while the improvement in the learning outcomes of the control class gained an average of 37.50. After testing the hypothesis with t-test 2 uncorrelated samples obtained tcount = 5.7774> ttable = 2.0017. So it can be concluded that the algebraic finger-based brain gym method affects the improvement in student learning outcomes
