Abstract

In teaching English at school, the teacher must be able to find the best way in teaching the language skills especially Writing, so that the material given can be received well. This research used the quantitative analysis to find the effect of using pictures on student’s writing descriptive paragraph. In this thesis, the writer took 60 students as a sample of data. The populations were the second year of SMP Negeri 1 Tanah Jawa where the X-1 as the experimental group and X-2 as the control group. To collect the data, the writer applied writing test. It is an objective test. The validity of the instrument is found out by using the Coefficient ProductMoment Formula and the Formula of Spearman Brown to find out the reliability. The data were analyzed by using the t-Test. The finding indicates that pictures give an effect on student’s writing descriptive text. The research of the t-Test is 10,9. It means that the test is higher than the table (10,9>0,01). It can be said that there is an effect of pictureson student’s writing descriptive text. From the result of analysis, the writer concludes that : (1) The use of pictures give a positive effect in writing descriptive text, (2) The score of experimental group is higher than the score of control group, (3) The score of the t-observe calculation is higherthan t-table. So, the effect of using pictures on student’s writing descriptive text is accepted.Keywords : descriptive paragraph, standardized test, descriptive text

Abstract

Abstrak Tulisan ini merupakan salah satu upaya untuk membahas tugas dan pertimbangan dari peran tes yang dibuat guru sebagai salah satu bentuk evaluasi dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar bagi mahasiswa. Hal ini juga diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dan manfaat bagi para guru bahasa Inggris, pembuat tes atau para praktisi untuk mendorong mereka dalam membuat tes yang memenuhi syarat tanpa mengabaikan prosedur standar untuk membuat tes yang baik. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk memberikan informasi tentang mengapa tes yang baik diperlukan dan harus diperhatikan oleh pembuat tes mengenai keandalan, keajegan, dan kepraktisannya dalam merancang tes yang baik (lihat Brown, 2004). Kata kunci: evaluasi, reliabilitas, validitas, kepraktisan, tes yang baik ABSTRACT This paper is an attempt to discuss the tasks and considerations of the role of teacher-made test as one type of the evaluation in teaching and learning 82activities for university students. It is also expected to give contributions and benefits to the English teachers, test makers or practitioners to encourage them in making a qualified test without neglecting the standard procedure of making a good test. Abstract

ABSTRACT Physics learning in junior high school is not only emphasizing mastery of material, concepts or principles but is a very good process in discovering new phenomena so that students can bring real situations or conditions close to everyday life that can be observed and proven directly by students. The right approach is a demonstration method for studying physical phenomena with the aim of providing understanding to students to recognize, understand the material of physics and science, so that information obtained from various media can be useful. The demonstration method instills confidence in students and is a natural or natural way according to the development process of students to learn to understand the lesson. This research was conducted at SMP Santo Markus I in the even semester of the 2017/2018 academic year by demonstrating the making and use of simple star binocular props to 31 students of 9th grade. After the demonstration a questionnaire was given to students to find out the students' responses. From this research, it was found that students liked physics subjects with a response of 77%, liked and understood teaching aids which were demonstrated with a response of 87%, liked the demonstration method demonstrating teaching aids with a response of 88%, better understanding and understanding physics lessons using teaching aids with a response of 89%, having motivation to develop simple teaching aids was 74%. Keywords: Binoculars, Demonstrations, Props ABSTRAK Pembelajaran fisika di sekolah menengah pertama tidak hanya sekedar menekankan pada penguasaan materi, konsep atau prinsip tetapi merupakan suatu proses yang sangat baik dalam penemuan fenomena baru sehingga dapat membawa peserta didik dalam situasi atau kondisi nyata dekat dengan kehidupan sehari-hari yang dapat diamati dan dibuktikan secara langsung oleh peserta didik. Pendekatan yang tepat adalah metode demonstrasi untuk mempelajari fenomena fisika dengan tujuan memberikan pemahaman kepada peserta didik untuk mengenal, memahami materi fisika dan sains, sehingga informasi yang diperoleh dari berbagai media dapat bermanfaat. Metode demonstrasi menanamkan keyakinan pada peserta didik serta merupakan cara yang wajar atau alamiah sesuai proses perkembangan peserta didik untuk belajar memahami pelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Santo Markus I pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018 dengan melakukan demonstrasi pembuatan dan penggunaan alat peraga teropong bintang sederhana kepada 31 siswa kelas 9. Setelah melakukan demonstrasi diberikan kuisioner kepada para siswa untuk mengetahui respon siswa. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh siswa menyukai mata pelajaran fisika dengan respon sebesar 77%, menyukai dan memahami alat peraga yang didemonstrasikan dengan respon sebesar 87%, menyukai cara demontrator memperagakan alat peraga dengan respon sebesar 88%, lebih mengerti dan memahami pelajaran fisika dengan menggunakan alat peraga dengan respon sebesar 89%, memiliki motivasi untuk mengembangkan alat peraga sederhana sebesar 74%. Abstract

This study presents a research report on using simulation method to improve the activity and the students’ learning result improving students’ Learning results on PKn. The objective was to find out whether the activity and the students’ learning result improved when they are taught by using Video. It was conducted using classroom action research method. The subject of the study was the Grade IV students of SDN 187/IV Kota Jambi which is located on Jln. Adi Sucipto RT 05 Kecamatan Jambi Selatan, and the number of the students were 9 persons. The instruments used were test as quantitative data and observation, interview, and questionnaire were used as qualitative data. In analyzing the data, the mean of the students’ score for the on first cycle was 74.11 and the mean on cycle two was 78.00 and the mean of the third cycle was 84.7. Then it can be concluded that the use of simulation as a learning method can improve the students’ activity and students’ learning result. It is suggested that teachers should apply simulation method as a learning method to improve students’ activity and students’ learning result on PKn.Keywords : PKn, learning results, simulation method

Abstract

This study presents a research report on improving students’ Learning results on IPA through Video. The objective was to find out whether students’ learning result improved when they are taught by using Video. It was conducted using classroom action research method. The subject of the study was the Grade IV students of SDN 187/IV Kota Jambi which is located on Jln. Adi Sucipto RT 05 Kecamatan Jambi Selatan, and the number of the students were 21 persons. The instruments used were test. In analyzing the data, the mean of the students’ score for the on fisrt sycle was 65,4 (42,85%) and the mean on cycle two was 68,5 (37,15%) and the mean of the third cycle was 81,4 (100%). Then it can be concluded that the use of video on learning IPA can improve the students’ learning result. It is suggested that teachers should use video as one of the media to improve students’ learning result on IPA.Keywords : IPA, students’ learning result, video

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study to determine 1) the impact on the quality of the curriculumimplementation process of the preparation of the curriculum; Public confidence in thestudents' graduation; and 2) the effect of the preparation process quality on theImplementation of SBC SBC. 3) the influence of public attitudes on the graduation ofthe students on the Implementation of the SBC and 4) the effect of public confidence inthe students' graduation on the Implementation of the SBC. The research was conductedin the first semester of the year 2014/2015. Respondents consisted of 54 junior highschool teachers from several schools in Jakarta. Technique data collecting instrumentcomprising 30 questions using a questionnaire to measure three independent variables,and a questionnaire to measure the dependent variable. Data processing is a descriptivestudy and hypothesis testing using multiple regression analysis techniques. The results ofmultiple regression analysis showed that statistically (a) significant difference QualityProcess SBC, Public Attitudes toward Graduation UN, and Faith Communities toGraduation UN students, together, towards the implementation of SBC (F = 6.781; Sig.= 0.001); (B) there is a significant influence on the Quality Process Implementation SBCSBC (t = -2188; Sig. = 0.033).Keywords: Preparation of SBC, Attitudes, Beliefs society, UN.ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui 1) pengaruh Implementasi KTSP terhadapkualitas proses penyusunan KTSP; Kepercayaan masyarakat pada kelulusan siswa; dan2) pengaruh Kualitas proses penyusunan KTSP terhadap Implementasi KTSP. 3)pengaruh sikap masyarakat pada kelulusan siswa terhadap Implementasi KTSP dan 4)pengaruh kepercayaan masyarakat pada kelulusan siswa terhadap Implementasi KTSP.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil tahun 2014/2015. Responden terdiridari 54 guru SMP dari beberapa sekolah di Jakarta. Teknik pengumpulan datainstrument yang terdiri 30 soal menggunakan tiga angket untuk mengukur variablebebas, dan satu angket untuk mengukur variable terikat. Pengolahan data penelitiandilakukan secara deskriptif dan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan teknik analisis regresiganda. Hasil analisis regresi ganda menunjukkan bahwa secara statistik (a) terdapatpengaruh yang signifikan Kualitas Proses Penyusunan KTSP, Sikap Masyarakatterhadap Kelulusan UN, dan Kepercayaan Masyarakat terhadap Kelulusan UN siswa,secara bersama-sama, terhadap Implementasi KTSP (F=6,781; Sig.=0,001); (b)terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan Kualitas Proses Penyusunan KTSP terhadapImplementasi KTSP (t=-2.188; Sig.= 0.033).Kata kunci: Penyusunan KTSP, Sikap masyarakat, Kepercayaan masyarakat, UN.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The study aims to find out how the strategy of teacher to improve the awareness of learness about bullying victims in the 4th grade SD Negeri Kalierang 01 Kecamatan Bumiayu. This type of this research is qualitative research with case study approach. The source of this research is the teacher of 4th grade SD Negeri Kalierang 01 Kecamatan Bumiayu. Technique of data collection using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and verification. The results of the study indicate that the teacher’s strategy to improve students’ awareness of the 4th grade bullying victims SD Negeri Kalierang 01 Kecamatan Bumiayu Kabupaten Brebes TA 2016/2017 as follows: motivating, counseling, grup and individual guidance, taking surveillance, giving warning and punishment, beaing a role model, working with parents, groups, rewarding, show of slogans and order in the classroom. Keywords: bullying, handling cases, student, teacher's approach ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Bagaimana Strategi Guru Meningkatkan Kepedulian Peserta Didik Terhadap Korban Bullying Kelas IV SD Negeri Kalierang 01 Kecamatan Bumiayu Kabupaten Brebes Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber penelitian ini adalah guru kelas IV SD Negeri Kalierang 01 Kecamatan Bumiayu. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa strategi guru meningkatkan kepedulian peserta didik terhadap korban bullying kelas IV SD Negeri Kalierang 01 Kecamatan Bumiayu adalah sebagai berikut: memotivasi, menasehati, bimbingan secara kelompok dan individu, melakukan tindakan pengawasan, memberi peringatan dan hukuman, menjadi tokoh teladan atau panutan, kerjasama dengan orangtua, kerja kelompok, memberikan penghargaan, memasang slogan dan tata tertib di kelas. Kata kunci: bullying, menangani kasus, siswa, pendekatan guru.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This scientific study aims to describe the role of interpersonal communication abilities of an educator in fostering students' self-efficacy. Although basically, loyal humans do have self-efficacy, but over time in class it is not uncommon in the learning process found students experience confusion, loss of motivation or even difficult to socialize with the environment. This will certainly hinder students in achieving their ideals, students' self-efficacy needs to be regenerated so that students are able to motivate themselves again. Whatever the conditions faced by students, they are still able to focus on the achievement goals. Keywords: educators, interpersonal communication, self-efficacy ABSTRAK Kajian ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peranan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal seorang pendidik dalam menumbuhkan self-efficacy peserta didik. Walau pada dasarnya setiap manusia memang memiliki self-efficacy, namun seiring berjalannya waktu di kelas tidak jarang dalam proses pembelajaran didapati siswa mengalami kebingungan, kehilangan motivasi atau bahkan sulit untuk berosialisasi dengan lingkungan. Hal ini tentu akan menghambat peserta didik dalam mencapai cita-citanya, self-efficacy peserta didik perlu ditumbuhkan kembali agar peserta didik mampu memotivasi kembali diri mereka. Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper aims to look at Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi's concept of humans as moral beings. Morality is an achievement of human will, a result of good character that wins over feelings of selfish importance. To grow morally, we must feel deeply. The concept of humanity as a moralist creature became the rationale for Pestalozzi in developing his theological-philosophical educational theory. Morality is seen as an element of value referred to by Pestalozzi because in essence man was created by God and inherited moral elements, and family (parents) are the first and best school to become social teachers who teach humans to gain the natural experience needed to expand the moral, intellectual strength , and technicality in human beings themselves. Keywords: johann heinrich pestalozzi, human, morality, education, theology ABSTRAK Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat konsep Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi tentang manusia sebagai makhluk moral. Moralitas merupakan suatu prestasi dari kehendak manusia, suatu hasil watak yang baik yang menang atas perasaan yang mementingkan kepentingan sendiri. Untuk bertumbuh secara moral, kita harus merasa secara dalam. Konsep manusia sebagai makhluk moralis menjadi dasar pemikiran bagi Pestalozzi dalam membangun teori pendidikannya yang teologis-filosofis. Moralitas dipandang sebagai nilai yang unsur yang diacu Pestalozzi sebab pada hakikatnya manusia diciptakan oleh Allah dan mewarisi unsur moral, dan keluarga (orang tua) adalah sekolah pertama dan terbaik menjadi guru sosial yang mengajarkan manusia untuk memperoleh pengalaman alami yang diperlukan untuk memperluas kekuatan moral, intelektual, dan teknis dalam diri manusia itu sendiri. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is distributed by many businesses who can not well developed due to the communication that is not well established. Communication is indispensable in a line of business for the better. With good communication then it will be good for relationships that are created in an enterprise with a sense of satisfaction from customers elicited the interest of a company.This research intend to be able to improve the quality of communication intepersonal on the company, especially in Matahari Department Store Rawamangun. The theory used in this research is a social exchange theory, theory x and Theory Y.The theory is attributed to influence interpersonal communication to customer satisfaction.The research was carried out in February to June 2014 at Matahari Department Store Rawamangun. The research method used was quantitatively using a questionnaire. Types of data are from primary data of questionnaire that is filled directly by Matahari Department Store customers. Test Validity, reliability, normality, linearity, and regression is performed in this study by using program SPSS (Statistical Product's Service Solution) version 16.0. Conclusion of this research is the influence of interpersonal communication towards customer satisfaction, with value of 79,9% compared to the influence of other factors of 20.1%. Keywords: communication, interpersonal communication, and customer satisfaction ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya bidang usaha yang tidak dapat berkembang dengan baik diakibatkan komunikasi yang ada tidak terjalin dengan baik. Komunikasi sangat diperlukan dalam suatu suatu bidang usaha untuk menjadi lebih baik. Dengan adanya komunikasi yang baik maka akan tercipta hubungan yang baik untuk suatu perusahaan dengan menimbulkan rasa kepuasan dari pelanggan untuk kepentingan suatu perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat meningkatkan kualitas komunikasi intepersonal pada perusahaan, khususnya Matahari Department Store Rawamangun. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori pertukaran sosial, teori x, dan teori Y. Teori- teori tersebut dikaitkan dengan pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Februari – Juni 2014 bertempat di Matahari Department Store Rawamangun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Jenis data yang diperoleh berasal dari data primer yaitu kuesioner yang diisi langsung oleh pelanggan Matahari Department Store. Uji Validitas, realibilitas, normalitas, linearitas, dan regresi dilakukan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan program SPSS (Statistical Product an Service Solution) versi 16.0. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah adanya pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal terhadap kepuasan pelanggan, dengan nilai sebesar 79,9% dibandingkan dengan pengaruh dari faktor lain sebesar 20,1%.
