Abstract

The rapid growth and increasing competition in the business of cosmetic product and also the more selective consumer, makes cosmetic companies do efforts in providing information about the products and create a positive association to attract potential customers. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of perceived value in mediating the effect of celebrity endorser credibility on purchase intention of Maybelline cosmetics products in Denpasar. The sample size was 70 people, determined with non-probability sampling methods, especially incidental and purposive sampling. The analysis technique used was PLS (Partial Least Square). The results of this study indicate that the celebrity endorser credibility influence positively purchase intention and perceived value. Additionally, perceived value has positive impact on purchase intention. Perceived value emerges as variable which mediate partially the effect of celebrity endorser credibility on purchase intention.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the transformational leadership style influence on employees job satisfaction and organizational commitment on PT. KPM. The sample in this study was 30 people and data were processed using Partial Least square (PLS). The results showed significant effect of transformationalleadership style on employee job satisfaction, employee  satisfaction significant influence on organizational commitment, and transformational leadership style indirect effect on organizational commitment. Abstract

ABSTRAK Lingkungan bisnis terus berubah secara cepat dan tidak pasti. Agar tetap eksis, organisasi perlu memiliki kapabilitas untuk dapat mengeksploitasi perubahan, dikenal sebagai agilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari bagaimana agilitas organisasi dapat dibangun melalui budaya organisasi dan aktivitas berbagi pengetahuan. Data disurvei terhadap 394 partisipan dari tiga organisasi bisnis. Regresi ganda digunakan untuk mengevaluasi model penelitian. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan budaya organisasi secara signifikan mempengaruhi berbagi pengetahuan, dan secara simultan - dengan berbagi pengetahuan - secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap terhadap agilitas organisasi. Potensi penelitian di masa yang akan datang juga dibahas. Kata kunci: agilitas, budaya organisasi, berbagi pengetahuan

Abstract

According to the Attitude Theory from Fishbein and Ajzen, consumer intentions to buy is determined by the attitudes and subjective norms. This three variables can be applied to relationships in the political world as to determine the voter choice intent. The study aims is to clarify the relationship between attitudes and subjective norms to voter intentions in elect Partai Demokrat in 2014 legislative elections. Primary data was collected through survey of 120 voters in Denpasar. Sample was determined by purposive sampling with three criteria, respondents live and use their voting rights in Denpasar and minimal education is high school. The results showed voters had unfavorable attitudes, subjective norms and intentions were low. Attitudes and subjective norms has significant and positive effect on intention to choose, subjective norms influence is stronger than the attitude of voters. This result indicate the influence of external (social environment) is stronger than internalfactors. The results can not be generalized beyond the study area and therefore further research is advisable to do research with a broader area and larger sample sizes or add another variables besides attitude and subjective norm, as the popularity and credibility of the party cadres.

Abstract

Little Bandung is a concept to help Bandung creative SMEs to enter foreign market. This study aims to understand obstacles, motivation, expectation and strategies in preparing Bandung SMEs in international environment. This research used qualitative and quantitative method to collect data by interviewing and conducting focus group discussion toward 15 respondents (owner/manager) from SMEs in creative industries listed in the Book of Bandung creative products as well as spreading questionnaires to obtain deeper understanding. The results show that more than 90% respondents have previous experience in foreign market such as in Singapore and Malaysia. The major reasons to enter foreign market are to fill customers’ orders and develop business. The main barriers that SMEs are concerned with are laws and regulation and perception of no market abroad. This study suggests that Bandung government should create a website as a platform that connect with each of SMEs’ website and conduct market research to analyze Korean market. In addition the clarity of concept of Little Bandung and business management in Korea are needed to prepare it well before penetrating abroad.

THE RELEVANCY BETWEEN LEARNING MATERIALS AND METHODS IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP LEARNING PROCESS IN HIGHER EDUCATION. Therefore, entrepreneurship has become a national curriculum in almost every study program and has incorporated entrepreneurship module as one of the subjects in achieving learning outcome and graduate profile. The terms in entrepreneurship are also growing, with the aim of establishing a social construction towards the understanding of entrepreneurship as a science, which contains elements of knowledge, skills and attitudes. Besides, entrepreneurship construct that need to be built in the learning process is very complex and involves multiple disciplines, so it is important to study empirically the relevancy between learning materials and methods in entrepreneurship learning process in higher education. This study aims to examine whether there are differences in the learning materials and methods in entrepreneurial learning at higher education level. The research is carried out in several public and private universities with a sample of 304 students from some courses both for the field of sciences and social studies that have entrepreneurship as one of their taught modules. It can be concluded that entrepreneurial learning materials can be grouped in the aspect of (1) knowledge; (2) skills and (3) attitude. In each aspect, the learning materials are collected and grouped and observed on itslearning methodology. The results by using Anova testing show that there are differences in some teaching materials and learning methods in the same faculty or inter- faculty at several universities. Furthermore, in the cognitive construction of the entrepreneurship metaphor (innovation, creative, proactive and risk -taking), it is found that it has not been delivered usingrelevant learning methods, as well as learning models of personal development. Implikasinya, kewirausahaan telah menjadi kurikulum nasional di hampir disetiap program studi dan telah memasukkan mata kewirausahaan sebagai salah satu mata kuliah untuk mencapai tujuan learning ooutcome dan profil lulusan. Istilah-istilah kewirausahan juga semakin berkembang, dengan tujuan untuk membangun konstruksi sosial terhadap pemahaman kewirausahaan sebagai suatu ilmu yang mengandung unsur pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap. Disamping itu konstruk kewirausaahan yang akan dibangun dalam proses pembelajaran sangat kompleks dan melibatkan beberapa disiplin ilmu, sehingga penting untuk diteliti secara empirik bagaimana RelevansiMateridanMetodePembelajaranKewirausahaanPada Tingkat Pendidikan Tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah terdapat perbedaan materi dan metode dalam pembelajaran kewirausahaan pada level pendidikantinggi. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap beberapa perguruan tinggi negeri dan swasta dengan 304 sampel mahasiswa dari beberapa program studibaikuntukbidangeksaktamaupunsosial yang menyelenggarakanmatakuliahkewirausahaan. Dari hasil penelitiandi simpulkan materi pembelajaran kewirausahaan dapat dikelompokkan pada aspek (1) pengetahuan (2) keterampilan dan (3) aspek sikap. Pada masing-masing aspek dikumpulkan materi yang diajarkan dan dikelompokkan serta bagaimana metode pembelajarannya. Hasil penelitian dengan pengujian teknik Anova menunjukkan, terdapat perbedaan beberapa mataeri ajar dan metode belajar dalam fakultas yang sama maupun antar fakultas pada beberapa universitas. Demikian juga dalam konstruksi kognitif terhadap metaphora entreprenurship (keinovasian, kreatif, proaktif dan risk taking) menunjukkan belum diantarkan dengan metode belajar yang relevan, sebagaimana mod(l-model pembelajaran pengembangan personal. Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the influence of self-efficacy and work motivation on employee job satisfaction at Happy Bali Tour and Travel. The data was collected by using questionnaire consisting of a number of statements about self-efficacy, motivation and job satisfaction. This study used saturated sample, where the entire population was selected become sample which is consists of 82 employees. Data analysis techniques used in this research was multiple linear regression. The findings show that simultaneously,  self-efficacy  and  work  motivation  has  a  significant  effect  on  job  satisfaction  of employee. Additionally, self-efficacy and work motivation shows a positive impact on job satisfaction of Happy Bali Tour and Travel employee.

Abstract

This study is aimed to identify and analyze the important factors that affect the aggressiveness of bank risk taking in Indonesia. Referring to previous research in several countries, market interest rate, bank capitalization, profitability, bank asset size, bank income diversification and bank efficiency are the influential factors that drives bank risk taking behavior. This study uses Jakarta Interbank Offered Rate, Indonesia Government Bonds Yield, Bank Indonesia Rate, and Bank Level Lending Rate as market interest rate measures. Level of aggressiveness in taking risk is measured by using the amount of risky assets owned by banks and bank credit risk. Credit risk is measured by using loan loss reserves. The results show that Bank Indonesia Rate is the most interest rate affecting bank aggressiveness in risk taking as measured by risk assets and measured by loan loss reserves. Efficiency, income diversification, and profitability are significant factor that affect bank risk taking.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah menjelaskan dampak pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap niat berwirausaha, menjelaskan dampak pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap EBI, menjelaskan dampak EBI terhadap niat berwirausaha dan menjelaskan peran EBI sebagai mediator dampak antara pendidikan kewirausahaan dan niat berwirausaha. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap pada mahasiswa program S1 Reguler FEB-Unud yang telah lulus mata kuliah kewirausahaan dalam kurun waktu tiga semester terakhir. Penelitian menggunakan sampel individu sebagai unit analisis dengan ukuran sampel responden 200 orang dan dibagi ke dalam tiga prodi secara proposional. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis SEM berbasis AMOS. Hasil analisis menemukan bahwa pendidikan kewirausahaan berdampak signifikan terhadap niat berwirausaha, pendidikan kewirausahaan berdampak signifikan terhadap EBI, EBI berdampak signifikan terhadap niat berwirausaha, dan EBI berperan signifikan memediasi secara parsial dampak pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap niat berwirausaha. Artinya bahwa, menumbuhkan dan mengembangkan niat berwirausaha lulusan perguruan tinggi, dapat dilakukan melalui pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan kewirausahaan, namun pendidikan tersebut tidak sepenuhnya harus dibebani dengan peningkatan nilai-nilai karakter individu (EBI). Kata Kunci: pendidikan kewirausahaan, entrepreneur behavior index (EBI), dan intensi/niat berwirausaha.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh family supportive supervisor behavior (FSSB) terhadap work life balance (WLB), employee engagement dan kepuasan kerja pada perawat yang berstatus telah berkeluarga dan menjalani pekerjaan dengan sistem shift. Penelitian ini melibatkan 101 perawat RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang yang berada pada instalasi rawat inap (IRNA 1 dan IRNA 2) untuk menanggapi kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan teknik analisis jalur (path analysis) menggunakan SPSS 16.0. Temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa FSSB tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap WLB, namun FSSB berpengaruh signifikan terhadap employee engagement dan kepuasan kerja
