Abstract

Research result indicate that there are 7 hypothesis that positively and significantly influenced, and two hypothesis that positively and significantly not related. The hypothesis that positively and significantly influenced are : (1) Individual Characteristic influence to the job satisfaction, (2) organizational beliefs influenced the job satisfaction,(3) individual characteristic influence the organizational commitment, (4) Work stress influence the organizational commitment, (5) job satisfaction influence the organizational commitment, (6) job satisfaction influence the intention to stay, and (7) organizational commitment influence the intention to stay. While the hypothesis that are not positive and significant influence are: (1) work stress influence the job satisfaction, and (2) organizational beliefs influence the organizational commitment.Keywords: Individual characteristic, work stress, organizational belief, job satisfaction, organizational commitment and intention to stay

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of transformational leadership and information technology on organizational learning and organizational change and its impact on employee job satisfaction at PT. Pupuk Kaltim. The study is conducted by analyzing the effect between variables consisting of 2 (two) exogenous variables: Transformational Leadership (X1) and Information Technology (X2), and 3 (three) endogenous variables: Organizational Learning (Y1), Organizational Change (Y2) and Employee Job Satisfaction (Y3). This study is designed to answer the problem statements that have been formulated. The study method is an explanatory research. The population is employees of PT. Pupuk Kaltim, where the size of its sample is of 207 respondents. The data is collected using proportional stratified random sampling method to find the effect between exogenous variables and endogenous variables. The findings of the study are from the 9 (nine) hypotheses tested, 8 (eight) hypotheses have significantly affected on the variables studied. The only one which has no significant effect is Transformational Leadership on Employee Job Satisfaction, where it needs to be mediated by organizational learning and organizational change.

Abstract

This research intends to explore a variety of factors that may affect the satisfaction use of ELMSs. Therefore, various factors have been tested empirically by using another model approach integrated into a single model. Other variables that are still reliable for further research without changing the construct of the indicators are subjective norms, usability, perceived innovation and satisfaction. Some relationships between variables that have significant influence include usability on perceived innovation, perceived innovation on satisfaction. One relationships between variables that have a small influence subjective norms on perceived innovation.

Abstract

An integrative model of the influence of innovative leadership and creative leadership on adaptive performance was developed and tested. Organizational learning, and organizational adaptation were treated as intermediary variables. To achieve the purpose of the research, the model was developed as indicated and analyzed using SEM with Smart-PLS. The results, suggest that the effect of innovative leadership on adaptive performance is positive and insignificant, this means that the better innovation leadership will tend to increase adaptive performance, even though the increase is not significant. But rest variables have direct effect positive and significant, as well as indirectly effect. Specifically, innovative leadership and creative leadership affect adaptive performance indirect through their effects on organizational learning, and organizational adaptation are positive and significant. In general, findings of the study support major findings of previous studies, extend and integrate previous models, in which they are discussed.

Abstract

Employee performance is the key to the success of an organization. The top priority of organizational leaders is how to create employees as prime human resources, have good behavior in the workplace and perform well based on needs in the workplace and have an understanding of the values that exist and are applied in the organization. The purpose of this study is to analyze and determine the effect of job characteristics, person-job fit, organizational commitment to employee performance. The population in this study were employees in East Java Province BPJS Employment with a total of 238 as a research sample. The research method uses survey research by distributing questionnaires to respondents. While the analysis of research data using Warp-PLS. The results showed that (1). The effect of job characteristics on person-job fit is positive and significant, (2). The effect of job characteristics on organizational commitment is positive and significant (3). The effect of job characteristics on employee performance is positive and significant (4). The influence of person-job fit on employee performance is positive and significant (5). The effect of organizational commitment on employee performance is positive and significant.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of OCB namely Altruism, Conscientiousness, Sportmanship, Courtesy, and Civic Virtue on Employee Job Satisfaction. Type of research used is explanatory research or explanative with quantitative approach with a sample of 50 respondents who are permanent employees of Human Capital Division Head Office PT. Bank NegaraIndonesia (Persero), Tbk. Sampling technique used is a Non probability Sampling technique. Data collection method is by spreading the questionnaires and using multiple linear regression analysis. It used the partial hypothetical test (t) and hypothetical test simultaneously (F).Research results and hypothesis test results which have been done showed that there is significant influence on F test , that is between variables of OCB namely Altruism (X1), Conscientiousness (X2), Courtesy (X3), Sportmanship (X4), Civic Virtue (X5 ) as an independent variables simultaneously to employee job satisfaction (Y). While on T test, one of the independent variables of Courtesy (X3) and Sportmanship (X4) partially did not give a significant effect on employee job satisfaction. АBSTRАK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh Variabel OCB yaitu Altruism, Conscientiousness, Sportmanship, Courtesy, CivicVirtue terhadap Kepuasan Kerja Karyawan.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah explanatory research atau eksplanatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampelsebanyak 50 orang responden yang merupakan karyawan tetap Divisi HumanCapital Kantor Pusat PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero), Tbk. Teknikpengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Nonprobibality Sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dengan cara menyebar kuesioner dan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Menggunakan uji hipoteis secara parsial (t) dan uji hipotesis secara simultan (F).Hasil penelitian dan hasil uji hipotesis yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh yang signifikan pada Uji F, yaitu antara variable-variabel OCB yakni Altruism (X1), Conscientiousness (X2), Courtesy (X3), Sportmanship (X4), Civic Virtue (X5) sebagai variable independen secara simultan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan (Y). Sedangkan pada Uji t salah satu variabel bebas yaitu Courtesy (X3) dan Sportmanship (X4) secara parsial tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan. Kata Kunci : Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), Altruism,Conscientiousness, Sportsmanship, Courtesy, Civic Virtue, Kepuasan Kerja.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain whether the implementation of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in banking can improve bank CRM. performance and at the same time create satisfaction to customers. This study examined the relationship between variables that makes this research as an. explanatory research. The research was conducted in Makassar. This study used two stage sampling techniques for collecting the samples. The first stage is the census method on 43 sub-branches of Bank BNI and Bank Mandiri in Makassar city that consisted of 32 sub-branches of Bank BNI and 11 sub-branches of Bank Mandiri. The second stage is the unit observation by using proportional random sampling technique for selecting bank employees interacting directly with customers and using information technology in supporting his/her work. The observation was implemented on 137 respondents. The statistical analysis that is used to test the hypothesis is path analysis. The researcher also conducted in-depth interviews on bank customers to confirm the quantitative results on the influence of the banking performance on customer satisfaction. In more detailed results, this study shows that: first, market orientation influences the performance of the banks; second, information technology does not directly influence the performance of the bank, but it influences indirectly through knowledge; third, information technology influences knowledge; fourth, knowledge affects the performance of the banks; fifth, the banking performance affects customer satisfaction. Overall this study shows that Customer Relationship Management application has an impact on customer satisfaction.Keywords: CRM, market orientation, information technology, knowledge, banking performance, customer satisfaction

Abstract

This research base on the fact that works performance is an important and challenging for managers. As a result, a manager needs to understand behavior differences and mange them into a positive behavior, called as high performance. This research aims 1) to what extent ability, motivation, and role perception influence perpormance; 2) to what extent ability, motivation, and role perception functioning as three antecedent variables influence job satisfaction; and 3) to what extent appraisal and compensation functioning as moderating variables strengthen the influence of performance on job satisfaction. The explanatory research, analysis unit of this research is middle managers at banks in East Java. This research employed interview with questionnaire model ad observation in collecting the data. In addition, this research utilized Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This research reveals that (1) ability, motivation, and role perception influence performance; (2) ability, motivation, and role perception functioning as three antecedent variables influenced job satisfaction; (3) performance and performance appraisal functioning as moderating variables strengthened the influence on job satisfaction; however, compensation as a moderating variable did not strengthen the influence of performance on job satisfaction.Keywords: Ability, Motivation, Role Perception, Performance, Performance Appraisal, Compensation, Job Satisfaction

Abstract

This type of research is categorized as explanatory research. The target population of this research is the entire structural officers in 11 regencies/cities of Riau Province. Accessible population is entire structural officers in 4 technical boards. Applying stratified random sampling, total sampling is 140, out of 135 returned questionnaires, 124 is good for the purpose of analysis. Structrual Equation Modelling (SEM) with AMOS software 6 version is used to examine the relationship among variables. Based on data analysis where the finding is also supported by sistematic variance of financial statement of each respective regencies/cities. Several results also generate; first , national culture consisting of power distance, uncertainty avoidance, masculine vs feminine, individualism vs collectivism, short and long term orientation influences the budgetary slack in 11 regencies/cities of Riau Province. Second, the influence of national culture will be stronger if budget particiaptory exists. Several recommendations from this research are to utilize national culture by reducing power distance, uncertainty avoidance, more feminine and close to group as well long-term orientation that is expected to decrease the budgetary slack.Keywords: national culture, budget participatory, and budgetary slack

Abstract

ABSTRACT   This research is an effort to show how to analyse an investment by diversificating in order to minimize the risk and to gain expected profit through Simple Criteria for Optimal Portfolio Selection (SCOPS) method supported by Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) method as a comparative factor. Data were taken from Index LQ 45 which having the bigest capitalization and liquid in trading frequency. Sampling with drawal was done with certain creterians and 27 selected from 45 population. Results of this research indicates that beta as a risk measurement reffecting less influence on market. 27 from selected samples 5 of them become optimal portfolio candidates among others Lippo Land Devlopment (LPLD), Astra International Inc (ASII), Telkom (TLKM), Lippo Bank (LPBN), and Barito Pacific Timber (BRPT) with each Excess Return to Beta (ERB) 2.2576, 2.0407, 0.5102, 0.4576 and 0.2801 which is higher than cut off rate (C*) namely 0.1106. The proportion of invested funds on each share 16.65 % for LPLD, 56.91 % for ASII, 14.82 for TLKM, 5.20 % for LPBN, and 6.42 % for BRPT with return portfolio ( ) 0.0406 and portfolio risk ( ) 1.5839. It is concluded that SCOPS method has been functioned in line with this research of which the selected shere become optimal portfolio candidate is the best diversification although the resnlt of test corelation is not significant.   Keywords : Investment, diversificating   ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan bagaimana menganalisis suatu investasi dengan cara diversifikasi  agar dapat meminimisasi risiko dan mencapai keuntungan yang di harapkan, melalui metode Simple Criteria for Optimal Portfolio Selection (SCOPS) didukung oleh metode Capital Asset Pricing Model  (CAPM) sebagai bahan pembanding. Data saham diambil dari Indeks LQ 45 yang memiliki kapitalisasi terbesar dan likuid dalam prekwensi perdagangan, dilakukan dengan kriteria tertentu terpilih 27 saham sebagai populasi, kemudian dilakukan sensus. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa beta sebagai ukuran risiko kurang mencerminkan pengaruh terhadap pasar. Return saham Indeks LQ 45 berdasarkan hasil perhitungan konsep Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) diperoleh hasil pengembalian berdasarkan tingkat risiko beta saling bertolak belakang dimana saham-saham yang memiliki return tinggi memiliki beta yang rendah dan sebaliknya return yang rendah memiliki beta yang tinggi. Dari 27 saham terpilih 5 saham yang menjadi kandidat portofolio optimal diantaranya : Lippo Land Development (LPLD), Astra International Inc (ASII), Telkom (TLKM), Lippo Bank (LPBN), dan Barito Pasifik Timber (BRPT) dengan Excess Return to Beta (ERB) masing-masing 2.2576, 2.0407, 0.5102, 0.4576, 0.2801 yang lebih tinggi dari Cut off Rate (C*) yaitu 0.1106. Proporsi dana yang di investasikan pada masing-masing saham 16.65 % untuk LPLD, 56.91 % untuk ASII, 14.82 % untuk TLKM, 5.20 % untuk LPBN dan 6.42 % untuk BRPT dengan return portofolio (Rp) 0.0396 dan risiko portofolio (Bp) 1.5839. Melihat hal tersebut sham- saham  yang   membentuk   portofolio   optimal   berhasil   meningkatkan   return  sebesar 51.61 % walaupun harus diikuti sedikit peningkatan risiko sebesar 13.88 %, dengan demikian secara tidak langsung diversifikasi saham  berhasil mengurangi risiko sebesar 37.73 %. Dari hasil uji simulasi alternatif portofolio optimal secara keseluruhan terbukti bahwa pasangan portofolio yang terseleksi dengan model Simple Criteria Portfolio Optimal Selection (SCOPS) merupakan pasangan terbaik diantara pasangan alternatif lainnya, Walaupun hasil uji korelasi return antar saham portofolio optimal menunjukan hasil yang tidak signifikan, hal tersebut dikarenakan sulit sekali mencari pasangan portofolio yang benar- benar ideal apalagi lingkup penelitian ini terbatas hanya pada Indeks LQ 45 saja. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dengan segala kelemahan yang ada, dapat penulis sarankan sebagai berikut : (1) Kiranya perlu dilakukan penelitian ulang mengenai hal ini dengan menambah jumlah sampel yang lebih Presentatif serta periode pengamatan yang lebih panjang, lebih jauh dari itu hendaknya data saham pada pasca pertengahan tahun 1997 harus di teliti guna mengetahui dampak dari  krisis ekonomi terhadap pembentukan portofolio optimal. (2) menambah hasil referensi penelitian yang mendukung terutama dari lembaga yang melakukan hal serupa. (3) Data analisis secara kuantitatif hendaknya didukung oleh data yang menggunakan pendekatan subjective judgement yang bersifat kualitatif dari berbagai ahli bidang tersebut, guna melengkapi dan menyempurnakan hasil penelitian.   kata kunci : Investasi, diversifikasi
