Abstract

Abstract

Research on the use of stone dust (SDT) as a partial replacement of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) has been carried out by using cylindrical concrete specimens with Ø = 150 mm and h = 300 mm. Specimens were made by using the ratio, in weight, of cementitious material : sand : crushed stone of 1.00 : 1.93 : 2.67. The water cementitious material ratio is of 0.52. The cementitious material is a mixture of OPC and SDT. The percentage of OPC replacement by SDT varied from 0%-25%. The distribution of grains of sand and crushed stone are designed according to SNI 03-2384-2000: gradation zone 2 for fine aggregate and gradation with a maximum diameter of 20 mm for coarse aggregate. The tests of compressive strength, elastic modulus, tensile strength and permeability on the cylindrical specimens were realized at 28 and 56 days. The result indicates that SDT shows a good pozzolanic reactivity in terms of compressive strength, elastic modulus, tensile strength and permeability. Therefore, it can be used as a component of Portland Cement Composite. The development of compressive strength, elastic modulus, tensile strength and permeability of concrete produced with a mixture of OPC and SDT depends on the amount of SDT used in the mixture and hydration time. The pozzolanic effect of SDT can only be seen at the age of 56 days. The optimal use of SDT as a partial replacement of OPC in concrete applications varied from 5%-10%.

Abstract

This research was done to investigate the behavior of edge slab-column connection of flat plate structure using the CDP features of ABAQUS software. Experimental specimen obtained in the literature was modelled in ABAQUS software with CDP features to define the concrete inelastic behavior. The investigated slab-column connection is an edge slab-column subassembled connection having slab dimension of 1020 mm x 1540mm, slab thickness of 120 mm, column dimension of 250 mm x 250mm and column height of 1520 mm. The vertical load and unbalanced moment were applied through the column ends. The vertical load works in the direction perpendicular to slab surface, and the unbalanced moment perpendicular to slab free edge that is obtained from a couple of horizontal forces acting in opposite direction. As many as 22 models were analyzed for five variations on CDP parameters and mesh size. The parametric values of the CDP were varied to obtained the analysis results predict well the experimental results. The analysis shows that the parametric values of CDP such as viscosity (µ) of 0,00005, dilatation angle (?) of 40°, using tension strain to define tension behavior of concrete, and considering damage parameter due to compression and tension give the analysis results of the behavior of edge slab-column connections close to experimental result. Key words: edge slab-column connections, unbalanced moment, punching shear, abaqus, concrete damage plasticity

Abstract

ANALYSIS OF FACTORS AFFECTING THE PERFORMANCE OF CLEAN WATER SUPPLY MANAGEMENT IN VILLAGE BUKIAN GIANYAR ABSTRACT The developmemt of clean water infrastructures and facilities in rural areas has not been accessed properly. By using PANSIMAS program from the goverment and communityself - help, it has been constructed drinking water infrastructures and facilities that will be managed by community itself by forming Management Facility Group (KPS). The limitation of management capability causes problems in implementation of management so that the water management perfomance tends to decrease. So it is necessary to conduct a research toanalyze the factors that affect the perfomance of clean water management in Bukian Village, Payangan District, Gianyar Regency. This research was conducted through interview technique by using questionnaire and analyzed using factor analysis. Research variabels to be analyzed consisted 55 (fifty five) variabels from five aspects of public sector performance measurement (aspect of input, process, output, outcome and impact) which cover 9 (nine) dimensions based on literature reviews and 5 (five) dimensions based on interview results. The test result of the research instruments was begun with the validity and reliability test. The factor analysis was stated feasible and there was a variable correlation. Partial correlation testing stage used MSA to measure the correlation of all variables. From the analysis result to 55 research variables, there were 21 variables that were reduced, so there were 34 research variables to do analysis again. Furthermore, the main component analysis was done to reduce data to be simpler with the result of factor extraction for the management performance of clean water supply amounted to 9 new factors. The dominant factor which affects the management performance of water supply is the factor of service improvement.Based on the conclusion of the research results is suggested to create a legal policy in the form of Local Regulations (Perda) of rural water management. It takes the role of the village apparatus as a SPAM’s counselor in the form of commitment and support to legality and independence of UPS/KPS in the local village.

Abstract

Lakes are one of the surface water resources in Bali Island which supports the socio-economic activities of the community. The growing economic activities either in the tourism or agricultural sector have their effects on the emergence of various problems such as the environmental pollution, shallowness of lakes and erosions. The emergence of various pollutions and the decreased functions of the Lake Beratan is not separable from the intervention of the community living surrounding the lake so that the conservation efforts need the community participation living surrounding the lake. This is based on the idea that the success of the conservation of water resources does not only depend upon the government but the involvement of the community also becomes a key factor. This study aims to identify and analyze the participation of the community living surrounding the Lake Beratan in the conservation of water resources. The number of samples used in this study was 98 respondents gathered by means of purposive sampling in the village of Kembangmerta, the village of Candikuning I and Candikuning II which are located close to the area of Lake Beratan and the majority of the people there use the lake water for daily needs. The community participation is divided into two categories, less participations and good participations, calculated based on Likert scale while the effect of free variables such as age (X1), education (X2), income (X3), length of living (X4), and perception (X5) on bond variables were calculated using discriminating analysis. The result of the study shows that the community participation surrounding Beratan Lake in conserving water resources had been good. The differentiating variables were the age of the respondents and their incomes.

Abstract

Abstract: Experimental study on the strength of brick walls have been done through literature review and laboratory testing to determine flexural, compressive and shear behaviour of the walls. Four different type of walls were used consisted of walls without plastering (TP), walls with plastering (DP), walls with plastering and chicken mesh reinforcement (DPK), and walls with plastering and wire mesh M4 reinforcement (DPW). The behaviour examined included load-deformation relationship and crack pattern/mode of failure. Laboratory testing included compression test (C) namely CTP, CDP, CDPK and CDPW; bond/shear strength test (S) namely STP, SDP, SDPK, and SDPW; flexural strength tests for failure plane perpendicular to bed joints (F) namely FTP?, FDP?, FDPK?, and FDPW?; and flexural strength tests for failure plane parallel to bed joints, namely FTP//, FDP//, FDPK// and FDPW//. Prior to testing the wall, tests on constituent materials were conducted. Red brick (made in Negara) showed compressive strength of 11,03 N/mm² with water absorption of 21,84%. Compressive strength of mortar was 9,1 N/mm². For the wall specimens testing was done after 28 days. The data obtained from the wall tests showed that compression strength for CTP, CDP, CDPK and CDPW are 3,82 N/mm², 3,84 N/mm², 7,46 N/mm², and 6,33 N/mm², respectively. Values for CDP, CDPK and CDPW are 1,01; 1,95; and 1,86 greater than that for CTP. Bond strength values of STP, SDP, SDPK and SDPW are 0,11 N/mm², 0,28 N/mm², 0,54 N,mm², and 0,42 N/mm², respectively. Values for SDP, SDPK and SDPW are 2,58; 4,88; and 3,87 greater than that of STP. Flexural strength values of FTP? and FDP? are 0,93 N/mm² and 1,27 N/mm², with a failure load for FTP?, FDP?, FDPK?, and FDPW? are sebesar 8,17 KN, 25,17 KN, 31,17 KN and 40,67 KN, respectively. The values for FDP?, FDPK?, and FDPW? are 3,08; 3,82; and 4,98 greater than that of FTP?. Flexural strength values of FTP// and FDP// are 0,38 N/mm² and 0,66 N/mm², with a failure load for FTP//, FDP//, FDPK//, and FDPW// are 3,5 KN, 13,67 KN, 18,33 KN and 32,83 KN, respectively. The values for FDP//, FDPK//, and FDPW// are 3,9; 5,24; and 9,38 greater than that of FTP//. The flexural strength of FDPK and FDPW that’s not analyzed because it was a shear failure and not a flexural failure. Stiffness (EA) for CTP, CDP, CDPK, and CDPW are 725,09 KN, 1096,32 KN,  2357,64 KN, and 1869,78 KN, respectively. The last three values are 1,5; 3,3; and 2,6  greater than that for CTP. Abstract

Nusa Penida (20,284 ha) is nearly 2x the areas of the other three districts of Klungkung regency, which located in the Bali mainland (11,216 ha). However, the condition of people is very underdeveloped. The regionsdisparityis caused by various factor, one of them is "isolated" area of ??Nusa Penida. So,itsneed to be planned a pioneering road to improve accessibility. In the prediction of traffic assignment, of course, can not be based solely on the existing very small trip generation. For that ananalogous method should be set up to the region that has the same characteristics. Analogy method was developed through a comparative study to other areas of Bali with a similar limestone structure, the same road networkand tourist areas. In accordance with development plan, it can be predicted that the road ADT in 2020 will be 5,800.62 pcu/day and DHV725.08 pcu/hour. Meanwhile, the end of the road horizon-year 2045 reaches 37,576.31 pcu/day with DHV of 4,697.05 pcu/hour. Assuming that of the rural environment, the capacity of the 2/2UD hilly road is 2,910 pcu/hour. Therefore, from the loading analysis shows that in the year of 2038 the road should be widened to be 4 lanes to serve the-2traffic directions. Keywords:pioneer road, analogy method, nusa penida

Abstract

Abstract: Cargo Terminal which has 70 units space is holding control of freight passing through the city center and as a place of loading and unloading of goods vehicles which do not have a warehouse. However, the activity of loading and unloading of goods is still widely practiced in the right of way which causes traffic jams. This triggers the Denpasar government to develop Terminal Kargo Denpasar  so as to supply the demand for parking and loading and unloading activities. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of the parking and future parking needs in developing Terminal Kargo Denpasar  . The method used to obtain data through direct surveys such as  inventory survey and survey cordon parking and secondary data obtained from the relevant agencies. The analysis shows the volume of parking of vehicles is 44,5 vehicles / hour, parking capacity is 36 vehicles / hour, parking supply as much as 372 vehicles and 4 for Parking Index that indicates there has been a problem of parking in the Terminal Cargo Denpasar. It is show Terminal Kargo Denpasar  has been unable to supply activity goods vehicles. The amount of the parking requirements for development of Terminal Kargo based on parking characteristic analysis are 101 spaces.
