Abstract

The problem of attitudes and moral decadence of learners is increasingly widespread, making it important to optimize character education from an early age. This research aims to describe the strategy of planting Aswaja-based character values in students in elementary school in order to become a strong foundation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study. This research was conducted at the Integrated Primary School (SD) Jepara. Collecting data entailed methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the strategy of internalizing character values based on Aswaja can be carried out by schools with application in micro contexts and macro contexts. First, the micro context includes: integration with each subject, planting tasamuh, tawazun, ta’adul and tawasuth through habituation of attitudes in daily life, habituation of amaliah Aswaja such as Barzanji activities, Qur'an recitations, grave pilgrimages, and tahlil. Second, the macro context refers to collaboration between schools, parents, and the community. Cooperation with parents lies in the synergy of attitude application at school and at home and doing reflections together; cooperation with the community is carried out through a partnership program to support the quality and character of educational output.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Science Note, a learning media for alternative energy source themes, for Islamic elementary school students. The product was developed following the ADDIE model, consisting of the following stages: 1) preliminary study, 2) development of Science Note media, and 3). product effectiveness test. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively.  In this study, the product was developed through several stages: (a) searching for real condition data and conducting needs analysis, (b) designing the Science Note, (c) Validating the product by involving media and material experts, and teachers, (d) Revising the product based on validators’ feedbacks. The subject of this research was the 4th grade of MI Ma’arif and MI Noborejo.  Validation showed that Science Note media had a score of 3.77 (very good), and by the individual trial test with a score of 3.62. The effectiveness of science note media was tested using the t-test and it was obtained a tailed sig (2) of 0.000. p = 0.00 0.05. These results indicate that the Canva Science Note media is effective in the learning achievement of class VI Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia has undergone many significant changes due to the Covid-19 pandemic, including its learning system. Blended learning is a combination of offline and online learning models. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the blended learning model during the COVID-19 pandemic at the islamic elementary school level. Blended learning can be implemented either online or face-to-face. This qualitative descriptive study conducted observation, interviews, and documentation to collect the data. The blended learning model during the COVID-19 pandemic was potentially capable of delivering more innovative learning. However, several problems experienced by teachers, students, and parents were also noticed. Teachers’ problems included limited media to deliver material in online learning. Meanwhile, the student's problem lay in their lack of learning independence. While parents’ role in guiding their children was pivotal, not all parents were capable of doing it. Students could improve their understanding by confirming directly with the teacher during the offline class, and parents were helped by a direct explanation from the teacher during the offline class.

Abstract

This study aims to improve scientific attitudes by modifying Gobak Sodor, a team-based game in which two teams of three members each attempt to beat one another. One team plays as the defender, while another team acts as the attacker in a square field with boundaries usually marked by chalk. This qualitative study collected the data by observation and documentation, finding that 9 out of 10 2nd-grade students in MI Ma'aruf NU Metro exhibited better attitudes, including honesty, cooperation, optimism, objectivity, and tolerance. Despite the attitudinal improvements made, a number of aspects, including social awareness, courage to express opinion, creativity, and innovation, needed further improvement. This game was proven to be interesting for lower-grade elementary school students. The game could also be played without any special tools, allowing students to develop their scientific attitudes throughout the game.
