Abstract

This paper aims to analyzing the thought of a character (Ibn Rushd) to education, and its relevance to modern education. The research method used in this paper is content analysis. This paper uses a qualitative approach (library research) and then analyzes the sources that have been collected and then provides conclusions related to the material in the paper. The results showed that Ibn Rushd's concept of thinking leads to freedom of thought in developing science in the world of Islamic education without having to be limited to objects, be it exact or metaphysical; there is a compatibility between Ibn Rushd's education using the burhānī method with modern world education, it can be seen from the development of science in Islamic education.

Abstract

The study of this study attempts to reveal the achievement motivation, which is a genuine effort from a person to achieve a goal, whether he likes it or not likes to try to make it to be liked. With the motivation can also be an encouragement for students to play an active role in the learning process, so that students who have high motivation then can easily capture the material presented by the teacher, thus will affect the achievement in learning. Motivation is every activity undertaken by someone who is driven by a power from within a person, and a strong motivation to make someone able to work extra hard to achieve goals. Students who do not have the motivation to learn hard to do learning activities. This research is fruitful, that the study; the varying socioeconomic status of parents affects the students' learning motivation differently. This shows a significant influence between the socioeconomic status of parents and achievement motivation on student achievement.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas pendidikan merupakan suatu yang sangat urgen untuk dilaksanakan, di mana hal ini merupakan suatu proses yang terintegrasi dengan proses peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia dan pengembangan program madrasah. Peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia melalui pendidikan telah banyak dilakukan oleh pemerintah dalam hal ini Kementrian  Pendidikan Nasional dan Kementrian Agama antara lain melalui pengembangan kurikulum dan sistem evaluasi, perbaikan sarana pendidikan, pengembangan dan pengadaan materi ajar, pelatihan bagi guru dan tenaga kependidikan lainnya serta pembinaan manajemen madrasah. Dengan mengambil latar penelitian di MTs Negeri Keras Diwek Jombang, penulis berupaya untuk melihat secara objektif melalui research secara mendalam bagaimana implementasi Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah, apakah tujuan yang akan dicapai dalam penerapan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah dalam mengembangkan madrasah, bagaimana efektifitas Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah dalam mengembangkan madrasah dan apakah fakor pendukung dan penghambat serta solusinya dalam penerapan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah dalam mengembangkan madrasah.Improving the quality of education is a very urgent thing to be implemented, which is a process that is integrated with the process of improving the quality of human resources and the development of madrasah program. Improving the quality of human resources through education has been carried out by the government, particularly the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Religious Affairs by  developing the curriculum and evaluation system, improving educational facilities, developing and designing teaching materials, conducting training for teachers and other education personnels, and guiding the development madrasa. By conducting a research at MTs. Keras Diwek Jombang, the authors attempted to look objectively through an in-depth research at how the implementation of school-based management is, what objectives to be achieved in the implementation of school-based management to develop the madrasah are, how effective school-based management to develop madrasa is, and what supporting and inhibiting factors and their solutions in the implementation of school-based management to develop the madrasah are.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the learning outcomes of the Madrasah Diniyah (Islamic School) and Non-Madrasah Diniyah students in the Sayyid Abdurrahman Islamic Junior High School (Madrasah Tsanawiyah). The purposes of this study are to find out whether there are differences between students who take part in the Madrasah Diniyah and students who did not take part in the Madrasah Diniyah. The design of this study is included in the type of quantitative research. The type of quantitative research is the method of collecting observation and documentation data. The analysis technique uses the free t test statistical formula. Data analysis using SPSS. The research samples are 54 students. The percentage of students of the Madrasah Diniyah is considered “good” because 89:14% included the 76%-100% category. And the percentage of Non-Madrasah Diniyah students is “quite good” because 75.96% belongs to the 51%-75% category. Thus it can be concluded that there is a comparison between the Madrasah Diniyah students and the Non-Madrasah Diniyah students in the Sayyid Abdurrahman Islamic Junior High School. With the hypothesis that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

Abstrak: Artikel ini membahas pendidikan karakter dalam perspektif Ki Hadjar Dewantara yang merupakan Bapak Pendidikan Nasional, dan kaitannya dengan pendidikan Islam. Di dalam pembangunan karakter yang dipentingkan adalah keikhlasan, kejujuran, jiwa kemanusiaan yang tinggi, sesuainya kata dengan perbuatan, prestasi kerja, kedisiplinan, jiwa dedikasi dan selalu berorientasi kepada hari depan dan pembaharuan. Pembinaan karakter akhlaq-ul kari>mah harus ditanamkan kepada seluruh lapisan dan tingkatan masyarakat, mulai dari tingkat atas sampai ke lapisan bawah. Lapisan atas itu kemudian memberikan teladan yang baik pada masyarakat dan rakyatnya. Tetapi manakala para pemimpin memberikan contoh yang buruk, maka akan berlaku pepatah yang menyatakan, “kalau guru kencing berdiri, murid akan kencing berlari; andai kata guru kencing berdiri, niscaya murid akan kencing menari-nari.” Berdasarkan latar belakang masalah tersebut diatas, tulisan ini bermaksud mencari jawaban dari pertanyaan-pertanyaan mendasar berikut: (1) bagaimana pengertian pendidikan karakter Ki Hadjar Dewantara? (2) bagaimana pengertian pendidikan agama? (3) bagaimana kaitan pendidikan karakter Ki Hadjar Dewantara dengan pendidikan Islam? Uraian dari jawaban yang dimaksud akan menunjukkan secara gamblang bahwa gagasan Ki Hadjar Dewantara tentang pendidikan karakter seiring dan sejalan dengan pendidikan Islam.Abstrak: This article discusses character education in the perspective of Ki Hadjar Dewantara who is Father of National Education, and its relation to Islamic education. What is necessary for constructing the character is sincerity, honesty, spirit of humanity, suitability of words and deeds, work performance, discipline, dedication and spirit. Character building of akhlāq-ul karīmah must be imparted to all layers and levels of society, from top to bottom layer. Then, the top layer gives good examples to the society and its people. When the leaders have bad examples, so there is a strong and deep words that state, “if teachers pee with standing up, students will piss with running; supposing pee standing teachers, pupils will undoubtedly pee dance.” Based on the problems mentioned above, this paper intends to find answers to the following fundamental questions: (1) how is the notion of character education of Ki Hadjar Dewantara? (2) how is the notion of religious education? (3) how is the relation between Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s character education and Islamic education? Description of the answers which are intended to indicate clearly that the Ki Hadjar Dewantara idea about character education along and in line with Islamic education.

Abstract

This paper is a report from the results of a mini research at Bina Umat IT Junior High School in Yogyakarta which describes the management of Muslim middle class students at Bina Umat IT Middle School. Muslim middle class is a population with routine expenses above 4 million per month. Muslim middle class people are aware that education is very important for their children so that they will try to send their children to superior and quality educational institutions, even though they have to pay higher tuition fees compared to the cost in madrasas or other public schools. Middle class people in this case are parents, hoping that their children will get a good quality education in moral education by being in a favorable intellectual environment. The research method used in this research is a qualitative approach. While the data collection is obtained by observation, interview and documentation, all data are presented in narrative descriptive form. The implementation of the management of Muslim middle class students in IT Bina Umat Middle School includes student recruitment, student grouping, coaching and student development.

Abstract

Leadership is an attempt to influence others to participate in achieving educational goals. Education requires the headmaster’s efforts to improve competitiveness and have a strategy to improve competitiveness. It is carried out by means of making a strategic plan of work in developing madrasah to improve competitiveness, good administration and giving authority and responsibility to educators in accordance with the prevailing rules, the application of teacher discipline, educational staff and students, improving the quality of human resources (teachers and educational personnel), increasing the motivation of educators and educational staff, establishing good relationships with local communities, involving local communities in madrasah activities and applying student-based management. This study aims: to formulate the definition of educational leadership; know the leadership of education at Madrasah Aliyah Kampar Timur; know the strategy of education leadership in Madrasah Aliyah Kampar Timur in an effort to improve competitiveness.

Abstract

Essentialism educational philosophy is one of the traditional educational philosophies which views that the values in education should be based on clear and long-lasting values, then the existing education in a country can remain stable and focused.The purpose of the essentialism educational philosophy is to improve the character of society through existing cultural heritage, so that later students can contribute to improving people's lives in the face of changing times that can kill the character values of students.The philosophy of essentialism also aims to form a happy person in the world and the hereafter through values of virtue (moral, character and morals) that are embedded in students, because school, teachers and students are the key to developing an advanced nation, and play a very important role for character building in the school and communities. This article seeks to conceptualize the goals of the philosophy of essentialism, namely to form a happy person in the world and the hereafter which includes science, art and all things that can move the human will through character building and the importance of the role of Islamic religious education teachers in shaping the character of students in schools and society.

Abstract

Educating the life of the nation is the task of the state agains it’s people. Education is the noble ideal that has been outlined since this nation was born. With education this nation can contribute with other nations in the world. However, in reality access to education in society has not been evenly distributed. There are still areas, leading and left behind that require a lot of educational touch. Equity is required for access to education so that every citizen who has the same opportunity is educated. Government program ssuch as the SM3T or Bina Daerah program become the chosen strategy. However, it should be supported by the community as a Civil Society. People must also move to develop education.

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain information konperehensip the empowerment of teachers and school principals in SMP Al-Irsyad Pemalang. This research is a qualitative descriptive penelitain. Source data is comprised of the principal, senior teachers, chairman of the committee, and students. Data collection procedures performed by observation and in-depth structured interviews, and documentation . Checking the validity of the findings made by the member check, the adequacy ofreference , and triangulate. The results of the following conclusions. Financial planning at the Junior High School Al-Irsyad Pemalang has done well by the ManagementTeam BOS school The planning of financing management in SMP Al-Irsyad Pemalang made during the preparation of Budget Plan School (RAPBS) with a preparationprocess performed by a team that already formed starting with EDS, involving allcomponents of the school in accordance with the instructions. The effectivenessof the financing in the Junior High School Al-Irsyad have are conducted effectivelyby involving teachers and school committees. Supervision of financing in theJunior High School Al-Irsyad conducted by relevant agencies as of the Inspectorateof the center and the regions, from the department.
