Abstract

This research departs from the khithabah ta’tsiryah (religious preaching) activity presented by KH. Ujang Hidayat, a preacher who is also the leader of the Asy-Syifa Cicalengka-Bandung Islamic Boarding School. His lecture is unique and distinctive and different from the method commonly used by other preachers. The recitation of the verses of the Qur'an is used as the legal basis of the study or reference in a discussion, recited with special tones or lagham and differs according to the contents of the message contained in the verse of the Qur'an. The purpose of this study is to know and describe the understanding, meaning, and experience of KH. Ujang Hidayat used the recitation method of mujawwad in khithabah ta’tsiriyah in the Majlis Ta'lim As-Sabab. This study uses a qualitative approach to phenomenology study methods. Data collection techniques are carried out by interviews, observation and document study. While the data collection instruments use field notes, cameras and conversation recording devices. While data analysis in the form of unitization of data, categorization, and interpretation of data and validity of data. The results of the study showed that the mujawwad recitation method used by KH. Ujang Hidayat in the khithabah ta’siriyah process in Majlis Taklim As-Sabab was understood as a method of lecture accompanied by rhythms and tones of recitation of the verses of the Qur'an which were adjusted to the contents of the message contained therein. The tilawah mujawwad method is interpreted as a process of delivering the contents of the Qur'an's message, the way of reading is based on the mujahad recitations with slower rhythms of reading and the rhythm of the muratal recitations by adhering to certain tones which are adjusted to qiraat. The use of the tawawah mujawad method can be used in khithabah ta’tsiriyah if the preacher has mastered the ulum al-Qur'an, the interpretation of the Qur'an and qiraa'at sab'ah.Penelitian ini bertolak dari kegiatan khithabah ta’tsiryah (ceramah keagamaan)  yang disampaikan oleh KH. Ujang Hidayat, seorang mubaligh yang menggunakan metode khusus dalam proses tablighnya, yaitu metode tilawah mujawwad. Metode ini dipandang unik dan berbeda dengan metode yang biasa digunakan oleh mubaligh lainnya, terutama dalam pembacaan ayat-ayat al-Qur’an yang digunakan sebagai dasar hukum kajian dalam sebuah pembahasan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pemahaman, pemaknaan, dan pengalaman KH. Ujang Hidayat dalam menggunakan metode tilawah mujawwad dalam khithabah ta’tsiriyah di Majlis Ta’lim As-Sabab. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi fenomenologi. Teknik Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen. Sedangkan instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan catatan lapangan, kamera dan alat perekam percakapan. Sementara analisis data berupa unitisasi data, kategorisasi dan penafsiran data serta uji abash data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode tilawah mujawwad yang digunakan oleh KH. Ujang Hidayat dalam proses khithabah ta’siriyah di Majlis Taklim As-Sabab dipahami sebagai metode ceramah yang disertai dengan irama dan nada pembacaan ayat-ayat al-Qur’an yang disesuaikan dengan isi pesan yang terkandung didalamnya. Metode tilawah mujawwad dimaknai sebagai sebuah proses penyampaian isi pesan al-Qur’an yang cara pembacaannya didasarkan pada tilawah mujawaad dengan irama yang lebih lambat dari bacaan dan irama tilawah muratal dengan tetap berpatokan pada nada tertentu yang disesuaikan qiraa’at sab’ah. Penggunaan metode tilawah mujawwad dapat digunakan dalam khithabah ta’tsiriyah apabila mubaligh-nya menguasai ulum al-Qur’an, tafsir al-Qur’an dan qiraa’at sab’ah.

Abstract

This research explains the role of the Salman mosque of ITB (Institut Teknologi Bandung) as the center of Islamic da'wah and the spiritual laboratory for the campus community in preaching Islamic teachings as rahmatan lil’alamin (mercy to the world). This research explicitly reveals the role of the Salman mosque in the development of Islamic da'wah for students, educating moderate character for students, and the concept of Salman mosque as a spiritual laboratory for the campus community. The research methods was descriptive and the data were obtained through the response of mosque members and they were analyzed qualitatively. The findings showed that the Salman mosque acts as a Madani mosque with complete facilities, namely, educational facilities, open green spaces, da’wah institutions, and economic development institutions for the Muslim community. Therefore, the Salman mosque becomes a pleasant place for families, play and learning spaces for children, and center for spiritual studies, as well as center of civilization in the development of science, technology, arts and culture.Tulisan ini menjelaskan peran masjid Salman ITB (Institut Teknologi Bandung) sebagai pusat dakwah Islamiyah dan laboratorium ruhani masyarakat kampus dalam mendakwahkan ajaran Islam yang rahmatan lil’alamin. Secara khusus penelitian ini mengungkapkan peran masjid Salman ITB dalam pengembangan dakwah Islamiyah bagi mahasiswa, pendidikan karakter moderat bagi mahasiswa dan konsep masjid sebagai laboratorium ruhani bagi masyarakat kampus. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang dilengkapi respons jamaah ini menemukan bahwa masjid Salman ITB berperan sebagai masjid madani dengan fasilitas lengkap, yaitu sarana pendidikan, ruang hijau terbuka, lembaga dakwah, dan lembaga pengembangan ekonomi umat. Oleh karena itu, masjid Salman ITB menjadi tempat menyenangkan bagi keluarga, ruang bermain dan belajar bagi anak-anak, serta pusat studi kajian ruhani dan pusat peradaban dalam pengembangan sains, teknologi, seni dan budaya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of da'wah mapping performed by the faculty of da'wah at IAIN Curup in supporting the program of Rejang Lebong as a religious regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with the data collection techniques are observation, interview, and documentation and the steps in the process of data analysis are carried out by data reduction, data display, and verifying conclusion. The finding obtains that due to support the program of Rejang Lebong as a religious regency, IAIN Curup contributes through the mapping of da'wah such as Safari Jum’at, Safari Ramadhan, and also Jum’at Barokah. In addition, IAIN Curup provides well-programmed guidance for majlis taklim located in some villages in Rejang Lebong Regency.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pemetaan wilayah dakwah yang dilakukan Fakultas Dakwah IAIN Curup dalam mendukung program pemerintah kabupaten Rejang Lebong yang religius. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, dan langkah-langkah analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, menampilkan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian menemukan bahwa dalam rangka mendukung program Rejang Lebong sebagai Kabupaten yang religius, IAN Curup memberikan kontribusi melalui pemetaan dakwah seperti Safari Jum’at, Safari Ramadhan, dan juga Jum’at Barokah. IAIN Curup juga melakukan pembinaan secara terprogram pada majlis taklim yang berada di desa-desa di wilayah Kabupaten Rejang Lebong.

Abstract

Perfection and success in preaching depends on the behavior, actions, and ways of presenting the material. In preaching, da’i is required to have the ability and creativity that will impress the audience with his message. The research on the preaching of the attractions of Ustad IL and AL has a purpose to find out the unique ways and art of preaching so that preaching messages can be accepted by the community and preparations before preaching. In line with the objectives, this study uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. In preaching, Ustad IL and AL have special art in displaying their attractions on the stage. Besides having physical attraction, they also have strength in language style, sound style, gesture, dress style and that can all influence, and make an interest in the audience.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and reveal that poetry can be used as a medium of Sufistic da'wah. Research method using library research by reviewing poetry Abdul Wachid B.S. in Hyang's rhyme collection. The results of this study are: first, the narrative of mystical love ('isyq) in the acquisition of Abdul Wachhid B.S. as the foundation of sufistic da'wah, secondly, the value of sufistic humanism as a prophetic and universal human representation; third, the image / depiction of nature as a manifestation of the values of hablum min al-alam (relation to the nature). The impact of this research in the context of da'wah science can provide a new dimension, namely the dimension of literature and culture in the practice of Sufi preaching. In addition, Sufism or Sufism literature approach can also enrich the viewpoint of the da'wah practitioners to innovate for good and peace da'wah.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengungkapkan bahwa puisi bisa digunakan sebagai media dakwah sufistik. Metode penelitian menggunakan library research (riset kepustakaan) dengan menelaah puisi-puisi Abdul Wachid B.S. dalam kumpulan sajak Hyang. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: pertama, narasi cinta mistik (‘isyq) dalam perpuisian Abdul Wachhid B.S. sebagai dasar dakwah sufistik, kedua, nilai humanisme sufistik sebagai representasi kenabian dan kemanusiaan universal, ketiga, citraan/ penggambaran alam sebagai manifestasi dari nilai-nilai hablum min al-alam. Dampak penelitian ini dalam konteks ilmu dakwah dapat memberikan dimensi baru, yaitu dimensi sastra dan kebudayaan dalam praktik dakwah sufistik. Selain itu, pendekatan sastra sufistik atau tasawuf juga dapat memperkaya sudut pandang para praktisi dakwah untuk melakukan inovasi bagi dakwah yang sehat dan sejuk.

Abstract

Da'wah in the Baduy Indigenous people who have firmness in carrying out the Slamsundawiwitan religion or religion has a number of uniqueness, because even though the process of preaching is only limited to the conventional da'wah movement but has shown significant success. Besides there have been many Baduy Dangka people who embrace Islam, there have also been many absorption terms taken from words or terms from Islam used by the Baduy community in social interaction activities in the midst of their daily lives. The focus of this research is how the da'wah communication in the Outer Baduy Indigenous Peoples who adheres to the Slamsundawiwitan religion or religion. The purpose of his research is to analyze and describe the Slamsundawiwitan religion adopted by the Baduy Indigenous people, and preaching communication in the hands of the Baduy Indigenous people who embrace Slamsundawiwitan religion in Ciboleger village, Bojongmenteng Village, Leuwidamar District, Lebak Regency, Banten. This research is based on Herbert Blummer's Symbolic Interactionism Theory which is then derived in three dimensions, namely: Mind, Self and Society. While the research procedure uses the type of qualitative research with the case study method, so the data collection techniques use in-depth interviews and participatory observation. Because of that the data analysis technique is culaitative which only does general categorization and conclusions, and does not generalize. Dakwah pada masyarakat Adat Baduy yang memiliki keteguhan dalam menjalankan kepercayaan atau agama Slamsundawiwitan memiliki sejumlah keunikannya, karena sekalipun proses dakwahnya hanya sebatas gerakan dakwah konvensional tetapi telah menunjukkan keberhasilan yang cukup signifikan. Selain telah terdapat banyak masyarakat Baduy Dangka yang memeluk Islam juga telah banyak istilah serapan yang diambil dari kata atau istilah dari Islam digunakan oleh masyarakat Baduy dalam kegiatan interaksi sosial di tengah kehidupannya sehari-hari. Fokus penelitian ini adalah bagaimana komunikasi dakwah pada Masyarakat Adat Baduy Luar yang menganut kepercayaan atau agama Slamsundawiwitan. Tujuan penelitiannya untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan tentang agama Slamsundawiwitan yang dianut masyarakat Adat Baduy, dan komunikasi dakwah di tangah masyarakat Adat Baduy yang menganut agama Slamsundawiwitan di kampung Ciboleger Desa Bojongmenteng Kecamatan Leuwidamar Kabupaten Lebak  Banten. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada Teori Interaksionisme Simbolik Herbert Blummer yang kemudian diturunkan dalam tiga dimensi, yaitu: Mind, Self dan Society. Sedangkan prosedur penelitianya menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, sehingga teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipatif. Karena itu teknik analisis datanya bersifat kulaitatif yang hanya melakukan kategorisasi dan kesimpulan umum, serta tidak melakukan generalisasi.

Abstract

The success of da’wah in campus is determined by level of da’wah competency of its cadre, so that it needs to be developed. This study is intended to answer the problem (1) how is the development of competencies campus cadre da’i? (2) what are the factors affecting the development cadre of the competencies? (3) How is the models development of competence using psychological and management approach? The discussion is based on a literature review using a psychological and management approach, so descriptive based on induction and reflection logic. It is concluded that (1) model of competency development of the cadres can be carried out through two models, competency-building models, namely core competencies and distinctive competencies, reflecting five aspects: substantive, methodological, social, spiritual and professional competencies. (2) The development of competence of the cadre is affected by factors such as self-concept, religious conciousness, motivation to da’wa, and environment especially the intensity of joining group guidance. (3) The models of da’wah competency development is indicated by direct theoretical relationship with self-concept, religious conciousness, and motivation to da’wa, and indirect one with the intensity of joining group guidance. Keberhasilan dakwah kampus ditentukan dari tingkat kompetensi para kadernya, sehingga komptentesi tersebut perlu dikembangkan lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menjawab masalah (1) Bagaimana pengembangan kompetensi kader da’i? (2) Apa faktor yang memengaruhi kompetensi kader da’i? (3) Bagaimana pengembangan model kompetensi kader da’i dengan pendekatan psikologi dan manajemen? Pembahasan didasarkan pada kajian pustaka dengan menggunakan pendekatan psikologi dan manajemen, serta analisis deskriptif berdasarkan logika induksi dan refleksi. Dari pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) Pengembangan model kompetensi kader da’i dapat dilakukan melalui dua model pembentuk kompetensi, yaitu kompetensi inti dan kompetensi pembeda, yang merefleksikan lima aspek yaitu kompetensi substantif, metodologis, sosial, spiritual, dan profesional. (2) Pengembangan kompetensi kader da’i dipengaruhi faktor khususnya konsep diri, kesadaran beragama, motivasi berdakwah, dan faktor lingkungan seperti intensitas mengikuti bimbingan kelompok. (3) Pengembangan model kompetensi kader da’i ditunjukkan oleh hubungan teoretik secara langsung dangan konsep diri, kesadaran beragama, dan motivasi berdakwah dengan kompetensi kader da’i, dan secara tidak langsung melalui intensitas mengikuti bimbingan kelompok.

Abstract

The dynamics and needs of the Islamic community are developing by the demands of the times. This article aims to create an alternative model of da'wah to answer the needs of the Islamic community, especially for the millennial generation. The da'wah model is practical and focuses on solving problems through the diagnosis of 10 significant sins which including Syirik, Leave the Sholat, Disobedience to parents, Adultery, Eating illegitimate or Haram (assets of orphans), Drinking Khamr, Deciding of Silaturahm (Moslem Relationship), Fake Oaths, Miser; and Slandering. The present model of da'wah through the diagnosis technique of 10 major sins is designed by integrating the "person to person" communication and counseling approach with the principle of empathy and unconditional acceptance. The use of new terms refers to the use of various social media platforms to encompass the public to fulfill devotional da'wah for the Ummah.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model alternatif dakwah guna menjawab tuntutan masyarakat Islam, khususnya bagi generasi milenial. Model dakwah praktis dan menitikberatkan pada penyelesaian masalah melalui diagnosa 10 dosa besar yang meliputi; Syirik, Tinggalkan Sholat, Ketidakpedulian terhadap orang tua, Perzinahan, Makan haram, Minum Khamr, Penetapan Silaturahm, Sumpah Palsu, Pelit dan Fitnah. Model dakwah saat ini melalui teknik diagnosis 10 dosa besar dirancang dengan integrasi pendekatan komunikasi dan konseling “orang ke orang” dengan prinsip empati dan penerimaan tanpa syarat. Penggunaan istilah kontemporer mengacu pada penggunaan berbagai platform media sosial untuk menjaring publik guna memenuhi tujuan dakwah bakti bagi umat.

Abstract

The mosque in Madrasah has an advaced goal regarding the demands of understanding, belief and practice of religion. The mosque as an organized institution is in principle the same, which requires the availability of facilities in accordance with the number of worshipers in the madrasa. On this basis this research focuses on: (1) aspects of mosque management at the planning, implementation, control and development stages; (2) An overview of available mosque facilities; (3 Organizing human resources from various elements of the congregation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The place of research is a mosque in the madrasa environment in West Java Province. The object of research is the mosque's human resources in religious guidance activities. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation Source of water for thaharah, number of water faucets, wc rooms, prayer rooms, loudspeakers, lighting, floor pads, places to store footwear, insulating pilgrims' rooms, and pulpit requires analysis, whether the facilities are in accordance with the number of worshipers in the madrasa The involvement of pilgrims who are in the madrasa, both students, teachers and employees in giving worship especially congregational prayer is a demand.

Abstract

Activities of Islamic da’wah in Sarawak, Malaysia, especially among converts to Islam (muallaf) increased quite high, however, there are still converts who do not fully understand the teachings of Islam. One of the institutions that gives attention to preaching especially in khitabah (public speaking) for converts is Urusetia Saudara Kita (USK). With the limitations and obstacles encountered, USK took the initiative through its biblical strategy in increasing the understanding of converts. This study aims to determine the strategies, obstacles and how to deal with USK obstacles in the converts of Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. The results of research with this qualitative method found that converts in the area were divided into two groups namely, converts living in cities and converts living in villages. The converts living in the city are divided into three, namely, active, inactive and problematic converts. The preachers at USK used the implementation of different khithabah strategies to increase the understanding of the Islamic religion of the converts. Among the khithabah strategies undertaken by da'i at USK are mastery of languages, visiting and delivering material on creed, sharia and morals. Constraints faced include shortcomings, language difficulties, limited time, old age, remote location and limited equipment. USK tried to find the best way to overcome these obstacles properly.Kegiatan dakwah Islam di Sarawak, Malaysia khususnya di kalangan muallaf meningkat cukup tinggi, namun, masih terdapat muallaf yang belum memahami ajaran agama Islam dengan sepenuhnya. Salah satu lembaga yang memberikan perhatian dalam dakwah khususnya khitabah kepada muallaf adalah Urusetia Saudara Kita (USK). Dengan keterbatasan dan hambatan yang dihadapi, USK melakukan inisiatif melalui strategi khitabahnya dalam meningkatkan pemahaman para muallaf. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi, hambatan serta  cara menghadapi hambatan USK di jamaah muallaf Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. Hasil penelitian dengan metode kualitatif ini menemukan bahwa muallaf di daerah tersebut terbagi kepada dua golongan yaitu, muallaf yang tinggal di kota dan muallaf yang tinggal di desa. Muallaf yang tinggal di kota terbagi kepada tiga yaitu, muallaf yang aktif, tidak aktif dan bermasalah. Para da’i di USK menggunakan penerapan strategi khithabah yang berbeda untuk meningkatkan pemahaman agama Islam para jamaah muallaf. Di antara strategi khithabah yang dilakukan da’i di USK adalah penguasaan bahasa, berkunjung dan menyampaikan materi tentang akidah, syariah dan akhlak. Hambatan yang dihadapi di antaranya Kekurangan da’i, kesulitan bahasa, keterbatasan waktu, usia mad’u yang sudah tua, lokasi yang jauh dan keterbatasan perlengkapan.  USK berusaha mencari jalan yang terbaik untuk menyelesaikan hambatan-hambatan tersebut dengan baik.
