Abstract

Sufistic studies seem to be of particular interest to contemporary Indonesian society. As the development of science, Sufistic studies were felt in the field of psychotherapy. In fact, in 2016 psychotherapy sufism experts contributed to developing a therapeutic technique called Mind Healing Technique (MHT) discovered by Ahmad Jais Al-Sambasy. One type of therapy in MHT is self healing therapy. Therefore, this study aims to find out how the procedure of implementing selfhealing in the 13th MHT Training in Bandung. In addition, it is also to find out whether Sufitic values are contained in the self healing procedure. While the type of research methodology used is descriptive qualitative method. The techniques used in data collection are observation techniques with the type of participatory observation, interviews using the type of semi-structured interviews, and documentation techniques in the form of data collection related to news writing, journal articles, and video coverage. So from the results of the research that has been carried out there are seven steps in the self healing procedure. 1) Condition the body position 2) Adjust the rhythm of the breath 3) Relax - focus - surrender 4) Pray 5) RTD + positive pin 6) Adjust the rhythm of the breath 7) Say thank you. While the Sufistic values contained in the form of patient values, resignation values, resignation values, the concept of takhalli and tahalli, rida values and values of gratitude. In the research process the writer found new information about the istigfar method in self healing therapy, and in that method contained an additional value in the form of repentance value.

Abstract

The aging is one of natural life process would be faced by every human being, and the elderly stage is the most crucial process in their life. In this stage, humans naturally experience a change condition, such as  physical, psychological and social change in relating to another. The elderly also suffer from anxiety and worry. They realize that death is getting closer and more aware of their need for religion, so, they become more active in studying Islam. Islamic education and learning for the elderly requires a certain pattern, because the main purpose of religious learning for them is to achieve peace and tranquility of the soul (nafs muthmainnah). The aims of this study is for determining:  The goal of providing Islamic education for those who are elderly; The pattern of Islamic education for the elderly based on purification of the soul (tazkiyah al-nafs). The research approach in this study used a qualitative, meanwhile, the research method used a literature study. This research resulted in following: The elderly in perspective of Islamic education are still have obligation to seek knowledge. One of main goals in providing an Islamic education for elderly is to get hold of the soul. While the general patterns in implementation of Islamic education for elderly are: 1) The general approach in educating and learning is through tazkiyah al-nafs, which at a practical level used approaches of: habituation, giving advice, exemplary, story; 2) The Islamic education materials provided in learning process for elderly are purification of akidah, worship, morals, stories and practice to smooth heart through dhikr to Allah (dhikrullah), prayer, reading the Qur`an, etc. 3) The methods in implementing of Islamic education and learning through lectures, stories, questions and answers, demonstrations, exemplary and memorization methods. 4). The media and facilities must be comfortable and adapted to the conditions of elderly, 5) The teachers must have good character and role model; 6) The students (elderly) must have sincere intentions and sincerity.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the image and personality of humans in the perspective of Western psychology and Islamic psychology. The writing method used is the qualitative method (qualitative research). As for the process of analyzing data, the authors use descriptive-analytic analysis methods. This research proves that the study of human images in Western psychology and Islamic psychology perspective have similarity. The similarity in the school of humanistic psychology, human images are seen as good beings and have unlimited potential (homo ludens). This view is compatible with the teachings of Islam and the views of Eastern people about humans. But in understanding personality, Western psychology and Islamic psychology have differences. First, in the perspective of Western psychology the study of personality is ethically neutral, that is, it only displays the personality that appears as it is. In the perspective of Islamic psychology, the study of personality is ethically laden, which is to show what personality should be. Second, in the perspective of Western psychology the study of personality only looks at the empirical aspects (environment), without looking at the inner aspects (spiritual) that underlie human personality. In the perspective of Islamic psychology, the study of personality not only looks at the empirical aspects (environment), but also looks at the inner aspects (spiritual) that underlie human personality. Third, in the perspective of Western psychology the study of anthropocentric-oriented personality, which means that the human personality is influenced by human power alone, and negate the interference or will of God Almighty. Meanwhile, the study of human personality in the perspective of Islamic psychology is anthropo-religious-centric oriented, which means that human personality is not only influenced by human power, but also there is interference or will from God Almighty.This research aims to examine the image and personality of humans in the perspective of Western psychology and Islamic psychology. Abstract

Ilmu Hermeneutika menjadi tawaran yang menarik dalam mentafsirkan sebuah teks. Makna dibalik teks dapat ditemukan dan memberikan sebuah perspektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap makna di balik teks ayat Al-Qur’an surat Al-Qiyamah ayat dua. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan buku-buku dan artikel jurnal sebagai sumber rujukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jiwa yang selalu menyesali, merupakan efek dari pengingatan akan perbuatan dosa di masa lalu.

Abstract

The problem of smoking is a problem that is being faced by various countries, the level is not only national but has become an international problem. Many trigger factors that cause everyone to do smoking behavior, even like a vicious circle because one with the other interconnected. In terms of various aspects, all agreed that smoking is detrimental to health, even the packaging clearly stated that smoking can cause cancer and blood vessel blockage which will lead to death. Because the effects caused by smoking are very dangerous for the perpetrators and the environment, let alone have an impact on children and adolescents so that they realize it or not have set a bad example for the next generation The phenomenon of smoking among adolescents at this time is increasing in number, therefore we need a method of therapy to reduce or even eliminate teenage addictions in smoking. Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) is believed to eliminate smoking addiction. Preliminary study results from Pre-cycle show that the level of smoking habits of adolescents is high, namely 75% of students in the heavy category (addicted to smoking) and as much as 25% in the moderate category. By using the Therapy SEFT, the level of smoking addiction decreased significantly, which is included in the weight category after treatment decreased to 60%, and the moderate category after treatment decreased to 10%. Thus the level of smoking habits of adolescents who are addicted to smoking both in the category of heavy and moderate, effective enough to reduce or even eliminate the smoking habits of teenagers.

Abstract

Abstract: If we think about the increasingly rapid development of science and technology in the present century, many studies have assessed that this is inversely proportional to the increase in moral, spiritual, and social ethical values which are more decadent. On that basis, not a few scholars have narrated the importance of value education with various variables. This paper examines further how the concept of value education in the Sufistic psychology (‘psychosufistical’) landscape—which is the result of the integration of psychology and sufism. The findings obtained are that the ‘psychosufistical perspective’ value education becomes a determinative foundation in fostering positive values that can make humans have character and quality based on the integration of psychology and Sufism as an esoteric dimension in Islam. The relationship between Living Values Education (LVE) and psychosufism in responding to the challenges of contemporary civilization can be formulated in several stages to achieve the goals of value education. Seven stages that can be implemented implicitly, namely: musyārathah, murāqabah, muhāsabah, mu’āqabah, mujāhadah mu’ātabah, and mukāsyafah. Then the method for optimizing the character of individuals and students specifically is to insert the three pillars of takhalli, tahalli, and tajalli into education. Thus the process of attaining spiritual intelligence—which obviously has an impact on social life—will have the potential to be developed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the religious tolerance that occurs between Hindus and Muslims in Banjar Angansari, Kutuh-Bangli and the challenges encountered in maintaining this tolerance. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, data obtained through interviews with community leaders of Hindus and Muslims in Kutuh. The results of the study show that: 1) the origin of Muslims in Kutuh Village due to muallaf who convert of Hindus to Islam in 1980, relationship base on filiation is the main factor in the growth of tolerance, and this is reflected in their daily lives. This tolerance has been maintained until now, 2) the challenge of religious tolerance through strengthening faith and religious practices that have been carried out by Muslim residents of Banjar Angansari Kutuh Village so that harmonious relations are established

Abstract

One of the most important information in the Qur'an and the hadith of the Prophet is the creation of man. One of the Qur'an mentions, that humans are made from the essence of soil (Surah 23:12). Another verse mentions, dry clay from black mud formed (Surah 15:28). This study focuses on tracing the creation of humans through the works of previous researchers that have been published in reputable journals and also books that are in line with research needs. The research approach is qualitative. To unravel the psychological meaning of Sufism, the theory of maqam Nafs Shaykh Hakim Muinuddin Chisyti is used. The results of this study indicate that humans who are in the process of creation to become a baby are in a basic spiritual level, namely the level of the soul or maqam nafs. Babies who are in the womb and who have been born into the world do not have optimal awareness. He can only do something simple according to the fact of his thinking ability.

Abstract

Reiki Sufism is a spiritual practice and healing of physical and psychological ailments through Sufism values using the Reiki method. Sufism is a scientific field in Islam that concentrates on the inner realm (esoteric). Meanwhile, reiki is a healing technique from Japan that utilizes the energy of the universe or is called Divine energy. Seeing the current conditions in the world that is being hit by the Covid-19 outbreak, the behavior shown by the community has changed. This incident not only had an impact on the health sector but also had an impact on the religious sector. So it is necessary to do research on how to mitigate or handle the Covid-19 outbreak. The method in this study uses a qualitative descriptive approach and literature study with the formulation of the problem of how the contribution of Reiki Sufism in the face of the Covid-19 outbreak. The purpose of this research is to describe Reiki Sufism techniques in breaking the chain of the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak. The results of this research are the practice of self-healing, uzlah (self-isolation), khalwat (solitude), and meditation dhikr that can be used as alternatives in breaking the chain of the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak and making individuals able to adapt to the pandemic.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengenai generasi muslim milenial kota Serang yang memiliki karakter yang unik dalam melaksanakan filantropi Islam, keakraban mereka pada media dan teknologi komunikasi menjadikannya terbuka menerima informasi termasuk pandangannya terhadap politik, sosial dan ekonomi, mereka tetap peduli dengan orang lain terutama kaum dhuafa,sehingga membentuknya kesalehan sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengungkap terbentuknya budaya filantropi generasi muslim milenial lalu upaya generasi muslim milenial memaknai kesalehan sosial melalui filantropi kemudian konsep diri generasi muslim milenial dalam filantropi dan interaksi generasi muslim milenial dalam gerakan budaya filantropi. Melalui pendekatan fenomenologi kajian ini menegaskan bahwa generasi muslim milenials kota Serang mengenal dan mempraktikkan zakat, infaq dan sedekah sejak mereka kecil, seiring waktu berusaha memahaminya dan terus melakukannya, peran orang tua, lingkungan dan tempat belajar mereka sangat mempengaruhi terbentuknya kesadaran untuk berderma dan membantu orang lain, mereka beranggapan bahwa muslim yang taat adalah muslim yang menjalankan semua perintah Alloh swt dan menjauhi larangannya serta selalu membantu muslim lainnya yang kekurangan, hal ini mereka aplikasikan dalam keseharian, mereka ikut menggalang dana jika ada bencana alam di Indonesia  baik secara langsung melalui posko pengumpulan bantuan ataupun melalui donasi virtual untuk memudahkan dalam penyalurannya.
