Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to (1) Describe the strategy and implementation of strengthening class-based character education at SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau and MI Miftahul Ulum Sudimoro (2) Explain the strategy and implementation of strengthening culture-based character education at SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau and MI Miftahul Ulum Sudimoro (3) Describe the supporting and inhibiting factors for the success of strengthening character education in SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau and MI Miftahul Ulum Sudimoro. Data is collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the study are (1) Strengthening class-based Character Education in SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau Malang and MI Miftahul Ulum Sudimoro conducted by referring to the vision and mission, analysis of Basic Competence, Learning Planning, Classroom Arrangement, Class Regulation Planning, Management of Student Work, Management of Inappropriate Student Behavior (2) Strengthening class-based Character Education at SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau Malang and MI Miftahul Ulum Sudimoro conducted by including school programs that have religious values, integrity, nationalism, mutual cooperation, independence, formation of institutions, involvement of stakeholders, establishment of school rules, literacy (3) Success in Strengthening Character Education has supporting and inhibiting factors both internally and externally. the internal support of the teacher has a character that deserves to be used as a report, internal barriers some teachers lack understanding of the K-13 curriculum, external support of student guardians participate in the role in strengthening the character education of students, external obstacles some guardians are indifferent to the character of the studentsAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan strategi dan impelementasi penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis kelas di SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau dan MI Miftahul Ulum Sudimoro (2) Menjelaskan strategi dan impelementasi penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis budaya di SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau dan MI Miftahul Ulum Sudimoro (3) Mendeskripsikan faktor pendukung dan penghambat keberhasilan penguatan pendidikan karakter di SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau dan MI Miftahul Ulum Sudimoro. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian adalah (1) Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) berbasis kelas di SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau Malang dan MI Miftahul Ulum Sudimoro dilakuakan dengan mengacu kedalam visi misi, analisis Kompetensi Dasar, Perencanaan Pembelajaran, Pengaturan Ruangan Kelas, Perencanaan Peraturan Kelas, Pengelolaan Pekerjaan Peserta Didik, Pengelolaan Perilaku Peserta Didik yang Tidak Pantas (2) Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) berbasis kelas di SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau Malang dan MI Miftahul Ulum Sudimoro dilakukan dengan memasukkan kedalam program sekolah yang memiliki nilai religius, integritas, nasionalis, gotong royong, mandiri, pembentukan suritauladan, keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan, pembentukan tata tertib sekolah, literasi (3) Keberhasilan Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) memiliki faktor pendukung dan penghambat baik secara internal dan eksternal. pendukung internal guru mempuyai karakter yang patut dijadikan suritauladan, penghambat internal beberapa guru kurang memahami kurikulum K-13, pendukung eksternal wali murid ikut perperan dalam penguatan pendidikan karakter peserta didik, penghambat eksternal beberapa wali murid acuh tak acuh dengan karakter peserta didik

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe and describe students scientific literacy Archimedes law. This research was conducted at Ambulu Public High School with 34 students in the XI MIA 5 class. Data was collected through tests. The student scientific literacy test instrument in the Archimedes law uses three essay questions with Cronbach’s alpha reliability 0.548. Scientific literacy of students is at a nominal level, which means students mention scientific concepts and explain understanding but misconceptions. Scientific literacy of students because students can't be associated knowledge with the phenomenon and teacher not accustomed to using his knowledge on scientific phenomena so that the learning applied learning materials do not link with everyday life.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menggambarkan literasi saintifik siswa pada Hukum Archimedes. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN Ambulu dengan subjek sebanyak 34 siswa pada kelas XI MIA 5. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes. Instrumen tes literasi saintifik siswa pada Hukum Archimedes menggunakan tiga soal esai dengan nilai reliabilitas Cronbach’s alpha 0,548. Literasi saintifik siswa berada pada level nominal yang berarti siswa menyebutkan konsep sains dan menjelaskan pemahaman tetapi miskonsepsi. Literasi saintifik siswa disebabkan karena siswa tidak dapat mengasosiasi pengetahuan dengan fenomena dan tidak terbiasa menggunakan pengetahuannya pada fenomena ilmiah sehingga pembelajaran yang diterapkan tidak menghubungkan materi pembelajaran dengan kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Abstract: Purpose of this research was to study students' pseudo thinking in concept of fractions. Data obtained using questions and interviews. Question used to find answers of students in understanding concept of fractions. Interviews used to find reasons for students answer. Findings show that students think pseudo conceptual, true-pseudo and false-pseudo. Pseudo conceptual thinking when students condition not understand shade when drawing fractions. Thinking true-pseudo when students in state not understand concept of drawing fractions begins with same size and broken down as much denominator fractions. Thinking false-pseudo when students state poor understanding problem and reflection for concept of drawing fractions.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ialah untuk mempelajari berpikir pseudo siswa dalam konsep pecahan. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen soal dan wawancara. Soal digunakan untuk mengetahui jawaban siswa dalam memahami konsep pecahan. Wawancara digunakan untuk mengetahui alasan siswa dalam menjawab. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami berpikir pseudo conceptual, true-pseudo dan false-pseudo. Berpikir pseudo conceptual saat siswa pada kondisi tidak memahami perlunya mengarsir saat menggambar pecahan. Berpikir true-pseudo saat siswa pada kondisi tidak memahami konsep menggambar pecahan berawal dari ukuran yang sama dan dipecah sebanyak penyebut pecahan. Berpikir false-pseudo saat siswa pada kondisi kurang memahami soal dan diperlukan refleksi konsep menggambar pecahan.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the increase of mastery concept in static fluid in inquiry learning with theoretical empirical reviews. The research method uses descriptive analysis. The research subjects consisted of 31 students of SMAN 9 Malang. The measurement instrument is a concept of mastery test questions in the form of a multiple choice of 15 items. The calculation of the question reliability is 0.588 with quite high criteria. The results showed that there was an increase in mastery of the concept of static fluid. The results of the N-gain calculation show that 58% of students are in the upper medium category. This finding indicates that IDAET learning can improve mastery of the concept of static fluid.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan konsep fluida statis dalam pembelajaran inquiry-discovery dengan tinjauan empiris teoritis. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 31 siswa SMAN 9 Malang. Instrumen pengukuran berupa soal tes penguasaan konsep dalam bentuk pilihan ganda sebanyak 15 butir. Perhitungan reliabilitas soal sebesar 0,588 dengan kriteria cukup tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan penguasaan konsep fluida statis. Hasil perhitungan N-gain diperoleh bahwa 58% siswa berada pada kategori medium atas. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pembelajaran IDAET dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep fluida statis

Abstract

Abstract: The reasoning abilities of Vocational students are still low. This qualitative study describes student’s mathematical reasoning in solving problems based on Polya's steps. The subjects were three students, high (ST), medium (SS), and low (SR). Research was conducted by analyzing the work results subjects and interviews. Research shows that Understanding problems, subjects analysed problem:ST, SS, SR revealed problem information; ST was relevant in representing triangles, SS, SR; ST identified tangen, SS, SR sine rule. Planning, subjects connected the trigonometric comparison. Implementing plans, subjects applied strategies:ST used procedure by setting the solution step and the correct calculation, SS, SR incorrect; ST, SS reviewed strategies by checking the calculation/formulas, SR not. Looking back, subjects reflected the solution:ST, SS did not write the conclusion and considered the fairness of the solution, SR not.Abstrak: Kemampuan penalaran siswa SMK masih rendah. Penelitian kualitatif ini mendeskripsikan penalaran matematis siswa dalam memecahkan masalah, berdasarkan langkah Polya.Subjek penelitian tiga siswa yaitu berkemampuan tinggi (ST), sedang (SS), dan rendah (SR). Penelitian dilakukan dengan menganalisis hasil pekerjaan siswa dan wawancara. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa saat memahami masalah, ketiga subjek menganalisis masalah ST, SS, SR mengungkapkan informasi masalah; ST relevan dalam merepresentasikan segitiga, SS, SR tidak; ST mengidentifikasi konsep trigonometri tangen, SS, SR aturan sinus. Ketika merencanakan,ketiga subjek mengoneksikan perbandingan trigonometri.Ketika melaksanakan rencana, ketiga subjek menerapkan strategi: ST menggunakan prosedur dengan mengatur langkah solusi terarah dan perhitungan tepat, SS, SR tidak tepat; ST, SS meninjau strategi dengan mengecek perhitungan/rumus,SR tidak.Ketika memeriksa kembali, ketiga subjek merefleksikan solusi: ST, SS tidak menuliskan kesimpulan; ST, SS mempertimbangkan kewajaran solusi, SR tidak.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to find out the teaching materials that needed to be developed in Cell Biology courses at Malang City Universities. The study was conducted on students who have taken Cell Biology courses in four college at the Malang city. The type of research conducted is quantitative descriptive research. The results showed that students were interested in Cell Biology courses and in the Cell Biology course there were several topics which were considered difficult including cell division, cell division control, and cancer, while for the results of the study related to the availability of teaching materials used, data were obtained that in three universities, namely UNISMA, UMM, and IKIP Budi Utomo, the percentage was more than 50% while for UIN the percentage was 48%. Students consider teaching that has not been able to construct understanding of concepts in studying Cell Biology courses so it is necessary to develop research-based module teaching materials.Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bahan ajar yang perlu dikembangkan pada matakuliah Biologi Sel di Perguruan Tinggi Kota Malang. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa yang telah menempuh matakuliah Biologi Sel di empat Perguruan Tinggi kota Malang. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian deksriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa tertarik pada matakuliah Biologi Sel dan pada matakuliah Biologi Sel terdapat beberapa topik yang dianggap sulit antara lain pembelahan sel, pengendalian pembelahan sel, dan kanker. Hasil penelitian terkait ketersediaan bahan ajar yang digunakan diperoleh data bahwa pada tiga perguruan tinggi yaitu UNISMA, UMM, dan IKIP Budi Utomo diperoleh persentase lebih dari 50% sedangkan untuk UIN didapatkan persentase sebesar 48%.  Mahasiswa menganggap ajar yang digunakan belum dapat mengonstruk pemahaman konsep dalam mempelajari mata kuliah Biologi Sel sehingga perlu adanya pengembangan bahan ajar modul berbasis penelitian.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the difficulties students have in Newton's Law. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subject of this study was the X MIPA which amounted to 102 students. Data collection is done by giving multiple choice reasoned and interviews. The analysis using descriptive percentages. Tests for Newton's Law consist of 3 items. The problem used in this study is the inertia of objects, identifying the forces acting on falling objects and the large force of interaction between two objects. The results showed that students' understanding of the three questions included the low category. Students are still having difficulty in understanding the inertia of objects, still having difficulty in identifying any style that works on falling objects and also students still cannot determine the style of interaction between two objects.Abstrak: Tujuan dalam penulisan artikel ini untuk mengetahui kesulitan yang dimiliki siswa pada materi Hukum Newton. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini kelas X MIPA yang berjumlah 102 siswa. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan pemberian soal pilihan ganda beralasan dan wawancara. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan deskriptif persentase. Tes materi hukum newton terdiri dari tiga butir soal. Dalam penelitian ini soal yang digunakan adalah kelembaman pada benda, mengidentifikasi gaya yang bekerja pada benda jatuh dan besar gaya interaksi antara dua benda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemahaman siswa pada ketiga soal termasuk kategori rendah. Siswa masih kesulitan dalam memaknai kelembaman pada benda, kesulitan dalam identifikasi gaya apa saja yang bekerja pada benda jatuh dan juga siswa masih belum bisa menentukan besar gaya interaksi antara dua benda.

Abstract

Abstract: Handout is a teaching materials that used to help students in understanding the subject matters that is have not written textbook. The development of handout Antagonism aims to improve the students cognitive learning outcomes. The handout development was based on the ADDIE development model. This handout was validated by the material validator and learning media validator, and the readability tests by students of X ATPH class. After that, the handout is used as teaching material in Biology learning process in X ATPH 1 class. The research results proved that the use of handouts Antagonism in the Biology learning process can improve students cognitive learning outcomes.Abstrak: Handout merupakan bahan ajar untuk membantu siswa menguasai materi yang tidak terdapat pada buku teks. Tujuan pengembangan handout Antagonisme adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Pengembangan handout berdasarkan model pengembangan ADDIE. Handout divalidasi oleh validator materi dan validator media pembelajaran, serta dilakukan uji keterbacaan pada siswa kelas X ATPH. Selanjutnya, handout digunakan pada proses pembelajaran Biologi di kelas X ATPH 1. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa penggunaan handout Antagonisme dalam proses pembelajaran Biologi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of study is investigating the relationship between Support Reading Strategy and reading comprehension. Consequently, the research method to deploy was simple linear regression. Meanwhile, because the population target of the study was all public senior high school students in the municipal area of Malang, East Java, Indonesia, the sample consisted of 301 students from three different schools. Inferring from parametric statistical analysis involving data obtained by conducting Survey of Reading Strategy (SORS) and reading test, the finding indicates that Support Reading Strategy fails to be in good favor toward students’ reading comprehension.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bermaksud mengungkap hubungan antara Support Reading Strategy dan kemampuan memahami bacaan. Untuk itu, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian regresi linear sederhana. Sementara itu, karena target populasi adalah seluruh siswa SMA negeri di Kota Malang, Jawa Timur, Indonesia, sampel penelitian berjumlah 301 siswa dari tiga sekolah yang berbeda. Berangkat dari analisis statistik parametrik yang mengolah data dari Survey of Reading Strategy (SORS) dan uji kemampuan membaca, temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Support Reading Strategy tidak mampu membuktikan korelasi positif yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam memahami bacaan.

Abstract

Abstract: This qualitative research aims to describe students' ability to solve open-ended problems based on fluency, flexibility, and novelty aspects. The study was conducted at MTsN 1 Malang. The subjects in this study were four students. The instruments used were interview guidelines and open-ended problem test. The results of this research confirm that highly ability students are able to think broadly and apply many ideas so that they are flexible in making a flat build. He fulfils the fluency, flexibility and novelty aspects. Moderate students are less able to bring up and apply many ideas in answering open-ended problems so that they meet the fluency and flexibility or fluency aspects only. Low-ability students are unable to bring up and apply many ideas to produce many answers so that they do not fulfil all three aspects.Abstrak: Penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah open-ended berdasarkan aspek fluency, flexibility, dan novelty. Penelitian dilaksanakan di MTsN 1 Malang. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak empat siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan pedoman wawancara dan lembar tes masalah open-ended. Hasil penelitiannya siswa berkemampuan tinggi mampu berpikir secara luas dan menerapkan banyak ide sehingga fleksibel dalam membuat bangun datar. Ia memenuhi aspek fluency, flexibility, dan novelty. Siswa berkemampuan sedang kurang dapat memunculkan dan menerapkan banyak ide dalam menjawab masalah open-ended sehingga memenuhi aspek fluency dan flexibility atau fluency saja. Siswa berkemampuan rendah tidak mampu memunculkan dan menerapkan banyak ide untuk menghasilkan banyak jawaban sehingga tidak memenuhi ketiga aspek.
