JPPM (JURNAL PENELITIAN DAN PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA)
The Journal invites original research articles and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The whole spectrum of research in mathematics education are welcome, which includes, but is not limited to the following topics: Design/Development Research in Mathematics Education Educational design research is perceived as the systematic study of designing, developing and evaluating educational interventions (programs, teaching-learning strategies, and materials, products, systems) as solutions to such problems. It also aims at advancing our knowledge about the characteristics of these interventions and the processes to design and develop them. Authors could submit their work, either a validation study or a development study in mathematics education, with a comprehensive description and analysis of every stage. Mathematics Ability Mathematics ability refers to the ability (a human construct) to obtain, to process, and to retain mathematical information (cognitive) and to solve mathematics problems (pragmatic). To maintain the focus of this journal, the scope of mathematics ability includes the following abilities: reasoning, connection, communication, representation, and problem-solving. A paper is eligible for this topic if it comprehensively discusses those abilities. Affects in Mathematics Teaching and Learning The scope deals with a basic question, how mathematics-related affects contribute to the teaching and learning of mathematics? The affects in mathematics education can be various topics such as application of models and approaches mathematics learning, beliefs, emotions, self-efficacy, confidence, motivations, identity, mathematics anxiety, etc. ICT in Mathematics Education The advance of information and communication technology (ICT) has been the concern of all human life, including in education. When all students use technology, education must be the first one to utilize it for the sake of effectiveness and attractiveness.

The purpose of this research is to develop a mathematics learning module at a Vocational High Schools Technology group Class X Semester 1 which is effective to facilitate the learning process of mathematics by students independently as well as to instill some values of nation character through math learning, based on expert assessment and student response. Adaptation procedures from the Dick and Carey learning development model adapted into the module development stage written by the PMPTK covering module requirements analysis stage, draft module development, expert validation, classroom testing, and revision. Quality of Mathematics learning module at a Vocational High Schools Technology Class X Semester 1 based on expert evaluation is good. The student's response to the learning materials product is very positive. This Mathematics Module is expected to facilitate students of Vocational High Schools especially Technological field in learning mathematics independently. The purpose: describe of Student's Habits of Mind, and its influence to students’s mathematical generalization at junior high school particularly in teaching and learning mathematics. Habits of mind is defined as someones’ habits or trends to performed as an intelligent behavioral patterns confronted with the problems that can not be solve easily. There are four categories of Habits of Mind in this research: persisting, thinking, thinking flexibly, and applying past knowledge to new situations. The method is Expose Facto method, conducted a long April and May 2016 with the subject of research are students at MTs Negeri 32 Jakarta, class VIII-5 as 38 people. The instruments: questionnaires and test. The result show that correlation between Habits of mind and students’generalization, as a simple linear regression analysis. At the level of significance α = 0.05 obtained linear regression formula Y = -86,165 + 2,116X. The coefficient of correlation (r2) = 0,425 and coefficient of determination = 42,5%. Its means that students’ habits of mind that gives positive effect to students’ mathematical Generalization as 42.5% while 57.5% impact of others. Mathematical skills are needed as a requirement for progress in modern times, and as a provision for the competitive 21st century. This puts pressure on students needing mathematical skills as a result of the learning process. Given the mathematics education students will be a professional teacher who is required to identify and improve the mathematical skills of students in school. So it is necessary to be anticipated early on for prospective math teacher who later become a teacher by knowing the level of his mathematical skills, based on the description of the students can do self-evaluation and follow-up on the advantages and weaknesses in each aspect of mathematical skill that includes comprehension concept, procedural fluency, strategic competence, and adaptive reasoning. The cultural context is integrated so that prospective teachers are able to see the mathematical aspects of their local culture and make it easier to solve the mathematical problems given through the Banten cultural context. The study purposes is to know and describe the picture of mathematical skills in the context of Banten culture in prospective math teachers. The research methode is qualitative method. The research instrument consists of a matter of mathematical skills test of Banten cultural context and interview guidance. Subjects in this study were students of Mathematics Education Department semester I academic year 2017/2018 of 113 students. The results showed that 1) Overall mathematical skill of cultural context of Banten mathematics teacher candidate of University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa including medium categorical; 2) There are 50% of mathematics teacher candidates possessing a mathematical skill in the Banten cultural context in the high category, and 30% of math candidates have moderate mathematical skills, and 20% of teachers have low mathematical skills in Banten cultural context; 3) The average aspect of mathematical skill of the Banten cultural context is highest in conceptual concept of understanding, while the average in the aspect of the lowest mathematical skill is on the aspect of the ability of adaptive reasoning. Blog support based online learning media is learning media that appropriate to the development of time periode, it is because it can be accessed everytime and everywhere, and also it is integrated to social media. This research is motivated by the low of learning mastery in the subjects of mathematics, especially on the topic of integers. This is evidenced by looking at data in the academic year 2014/2015 and reinforced the results of interviews with students. In addition, the low achievement of students due to some of the following factors are the low of involvement of students in the process of teaching and learning activities (KBM), and the process of teaching and learning activities is not implemented as it should. With this research is expected to improve the quality of mathematics learning in general and in particular will improve student learning outcomes, especially in SMP Negeri 17 Kota Serang. The problems raised in this research is whether by applying cooperative learning model type TGT can improve student learning outcomes of class VII SMP Negeri 17 Kota Serang on the topic of integer academic year 2015/2016. This study is expected to improve student learning outcomes and achieve learning mastery. Research procedure through three cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. From the analysis results obtained mastery learning students on the topic of integers increased. This is seen in the improvement of learning completeness of each cycle, ie in the first cycle of 76.6% to 85.3% in cycle II, and on the third cycle increased again by 87.7%. Based on the analysis and discussion got conclusion that the implementation of cooperative learning model type TGT can improve student learning outcomes on the subject of integers. This research aims to describe student’s procedural knowledge on system of two linear equations in two variable that reviewed from cognitive styles. The research is descriptive with qualitative approach. The subject of this research were 8 student’s of grade VIII SMPN 1 Palu consisting of 4 students field independent and 4 students field dependent. The results showed that students with cognitive styles field independent were able to apply the appropriate procedure correctly and verify the procedure using symbol or mathematical model but don’t able to modify the procedure to handle the factors in problem solving. Whereas students with cognitive styles field dependent are not capable to apply the appropriate procedure correctly, verify the procedure using symbol or mathematical model and modify the procedures to deal with factors in problem solving. The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of gamifikasi teaching materials and to determine the response of students and teachers to the developed teaching materials. The material developed in this research is to build a curved side room. Teaching materials is a primary requirement for teaching and learning process. The method in this research is research and development (R & D) with Brog and Gall development model that has been modified by Sugiyono. There are 7 stages in this development that are potential and problems, data collection, product design, product validation, product revision, product trial and product revision. The data collection instruments used are questionnaires given to material experts, media experts and linguists to determine the feasibility of the products, and are given to students and teachers to find out the attractiveness of the products that have been developed. Based on data analysis obtained from material experts, media experts and linguists it is stated that the developed teaching material is feasible to be used, and analysis of data obtained from students and teachers stated that the developed teaching material is very interesting. This means that the materials developed by researchers can be used as a learning resource for students and teachers of SMP / MTs class IX. Keywords: Gamification Teaching Materials

This research is motivated by rapid technological developments. More and more effort needs to be done in the utilization of technology results in learning. Teachers are expected to be able to use the tools provided from the school and not be covered by tools that are compatible with the development and turn of the times. Besides being able to use the tools available, teachers can also be used to create media that will be used as an available medium. One of the media used is interactive, in addition to junior high school students using tutorials to make it easier to use. The purpose of this research is to develop interactive learning in junior high school mathematics. The research was conducted in accordance with the research and development procedures consisting of: 1) preliminary study, 2) research planning, 3) development design, 4) preliminary field testing, 5) initial reference trial. In the preliminary stage of the field test, interactive teaching materials was validated by mathematicians, educational experts and multimedia specialists to assess the validity level of the product, which states that it is highly valid. In addition, limited tests were conducted on nine students to see the feasibility response that the results declared feasible, meaning interactive teaching materials learning math tutorial interesting to learn or use. One of the goals of learning mathematics is that students have the ability to solve mathematical problems. The objectives of this research are to: (1) Analyze students' errors in categories of low basic mathematical ability in completing tests of mathematical problem solving skills; and (2) to know the cause of the mistakes made by the students on the category of low basic mathematical ability. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were 9 students of grade 5th SD N 4 Puyoh, Kabupaten Kudus selected from the category of early mathematical ability of low level students. Subjects are selected by considering the teacher's explanation in the research class about the students' ability to express opinions or the oral way of thinking. The determination of research subjects is based on the results of students 'problem solving skills tests and students' maths early test. Methods of data collection in this study are early mathematical ability test, problem solving test, and interview. Data analysis in this research is done with stages that include data reduction, data presentation, and draw conclusion and verification. The results showed that the cause of the mistakes made by students in completing the test of mathematical problem solving ability in the low student group are: (1) Students do not read the problem carefully so that there is information that is missed; and (2) Students can not mention what is known completely, do not identify what is known exactly so that it causes incorrect interpretation. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini berawal dari realita di lapangan bahwa materi Pertidaksamaan Linear Satu Variabel (PtLSV) diperkenalkan pada siswa di sekolah setelah Persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel (PLSV) dengan cara penyelesaian masalah yang sama, yang membedakan hanya tandanya saja atau hasil akhir dari PLSV memiliki satu himpunan penyelesaian dan PtLSV memiliki banyak himpunan penyelesaian. Namun, teknik dalam penyelesaian masalah PLSV bila diterapkan pada masalah PtLSV dapat menyebabkan hasil yang salah, sehingga menimbulkan learning obstacles (hambatan belajar). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan learning obstacles yang terdapat pada materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel. Learning obstacle diperoleh dari hasil analisis Tes Kemampuan Responden (TKR) pada siswa yang sudah mempelajari materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan Didactical Design Research (DDR). Subjek penelitian ini adalah responden yang mengikuti TKR, yaitu siswa yang sudah mendapatkan pelajaran materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel sebanyak 37 orang kelas VIII SMP dan 40 orang siswa kelas X-MIA SMA. Learning obstacle yang ditemukan pada materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel ini dikategorikan menjadi 3 jenis yaitu ontogenic obstacle, epistemological obstacle dan didactical obstacle. Ontogenic obstacle ditemukan karena adanya loncatan berpikir siswa dari pola pikir aritmatika ke pola pikir aljabar. Epistemological obstacle ditemukan karena keterbatasan konteks pada siswa yang menyebabkan kesalahan dalam mengerjakan soal. Didactical obstacle ditemukan karena pengajaran guru yang prosedural sehingga pembentukan konsep materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel pada siswa tidak berjalan baik. Kata kunci: Learning Obstacles, Persamaan dan Pertidaksamaan Linear Satu Variabel.
