Abstract

This article aims to analyze the management of religious habituation programs in shaping student discipline in Islamic junior secondary schools. The study uses a literature review method by examining journal articles, academic books, and educational regulations related to Islamic educational management, religious habituation, madrasa culture, and student discipline. The data were analyzed through source reduction, thematic classification, content synthesis, and conceptual conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that religious habituation contributes to student discipline because religious activities train regularity, punctuality, responsibility, obedience to school rules, and awareness of obligations. The program becomes more effective when it is managed through planning, organizing, implementation, supervision, and evaluation. Forms of activities include collective prayer, Qur'an recitation, dhuha prayer, congregational prayer, greeting culture, charity, clean culture, and moral guidance. This study affirms that the success of religious habituation requires the commitment of the madrasa principal, teacher role modeling, student participation, parental support, and continuous evaluation. Keywords : Islamic educational management, religious habituation, student discipline, Islamic junior secondary school, literature review

Abstract

This study examines the role of educational leadership in improving teacher performance, staff professionalism, and the quality of learning in the digital era. The discussion focuses on two leadership models transformational and adaptive—which are considered the most relevant in addressing rapid changes in modern educational management. This research employs a literature review method by analyzing scientific sources related to leadership, educational management, and technology-based learning. The findings show that transformational leadership plays a crucial role in inspiring and motivating teachers, fostering innovation, and encouraging continuous professional growth. Meanwhile, adaptive leadership enables school leaders to understand complex changes, distinguish between technical and adaptive challenges, and mobilize teachers to respond more independently to the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum and digital learning. The combination of both leadership models effectively builds a collaborative school culture that is open to change and oriented toward improving learning quality. Thus, effective leadership serves as a fundamental pillar for schools in navigating educational transformation in the digital era.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged the transition of records management from conventional systems to digital systems, particularly to enhance administrative transparency in educational institutions. Digital records serve not only as tools for information storage but also as instruments of accountability and decision-making. However, the implementation of digital records management still encounters several challenges, including limited technological infrastructure, inadequate human resource competencies, the lack of integrated archival policies and regulations, and weak management procedures. This study aims to examine the challenges and strategies of digital records management and its role in promoting administrative transparency in the education sector. The research employs a qualitative approach through a literature review by analyzing relevant books, scholarly articles, and regulations. Data analysis is conducted using the interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that effective digital records management strategies include strengthening digital archival policies and regulations, utilizing integrated electronic records management systems, enhancing human resource competencies, and implementing clear standard operating procedures. These strategies contribute to improving information openness, expanding public access, and strengthening administrative auditability. The study concludes that well-planned and integrated digital records management is a crucial factor in achieving transparent, accountable, and efficient administrative governance in educational institutions. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants of madrasah selection by integrating the Engel, Kollat, and Blackwell consumer behavior model and the SERVQUAL service quality framework at MAN 3 Kediri. The background of this study is the increasingly competitive environment among secondary educational institutions, which requires madrasahs to understand the factors influencing students’ school choice decisions. This research employed a quantitative associative-causal approach. The population consisted of 1,308 students of MAN 3 Kediri, with 297 respondents selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire that had passed validity and reliability testing, and were analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS version 27. The findings show that consumer behavior has a positive and significant effect on school choice and serves as the dominant factor with an effective contribution of 28.0%. Service quality also has a positive and significant effect, with an effective contribution of 13.7%. Simultaneously, both variables contribute 56.3% to school choice decisions. These findings indicate that madrasah selection is shaped by consumer preferences and perceived service quality. Keywords : consumer behavior, SERVQUAL, madrasah choice, EKB model, service quality

Abstract

Waste generation has emerged as one of the most urgent global crises, with over 2.2 billion tons produced annually worldwide and projections reaching 3.4 billion tons by 2050. Indonesia alone contributes more than 68 million tons each year, yet only a fraction is properly managed. Shockingly, despite growing initiatives in schools, such as eco-programs and recycling competitions, conceptual awareness of circular economy principles remains fragmented. This paradox—high levels of participation in practical waste management alongside limited systemic understanding—reveals a critical gap in sustainability education. Theoretically, this study positions itself within the global debate on circular economy transitions, while policy-wise it responds to the absence of integration between circular economy principles and education management in Indonesia. The research aims to develop a novel model that embeds circular economy practices into school management systems through community empowerment. Using a qualitative multiple case study approach, data were collected from State Senior High School 1 Indramayu and State Vocational School 1 Majalengka through surveys, interviews, observations, and document analysis, involving teachers, students, and parents as core actors. Findings indicate that while both schools demonstrate strong practices in waste segregation, recycling, and eco-entrepreneurship, systemic barriers—structural, managerial, and cultural—impede full integration into curriculum and policy. A key contribution is the formulation of a participatory model through the School Environmental Management Unit (UPLS), which extends circular practices beyond the school to households, increasing waste recovery by 42%. The study recommends future research on broader school types and long-term policy adoption, emphasizing collaborative, cross-sectoral governance as essential for embedding circular economy education. Keywords:  Circular Economy, Education Management, School Community Empowerment, Waste Management, Sustainable Education

Abstract

This research is driven by the phenomenon of intense competition among educational institutions, where schools are required to excel not only in physical services but also in digital existence to maintain a robust image and attract prospective students. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the partial and simultaneous influence of Service Quality (X1) and Digital Presence (X2) on School Image (Y) at SMK Negeri Mojoagung. The research method employed is quantitative with a causal associative approach. The population consists of SMKN Mojoagung students, with a sample of 305 respondents selected through Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Data were collected via Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression supported by SPSS software. The results indicate that: (1) Service Quality has a positive and significant partial effect on School Image (t-statistic = 7.950; Sig. < 0.05); (2) Digital Presence demonstrates a positive and significant partial effect on School Image (t-statistic = 8.250; Sig. < 0.05); and (3) Simultaneously, Service Quality and Digital Presence jointly exert a significant effect on School Image (F-statistic = 155.590; Sig. 0.000). These variables contribute 50.4% (R Square = 0.504) to the establishment of School Image, suggesting that the synergy between excellent service and digital Presence activities is a key strategy in enhancing school reputation.

Abstract

Amid the vibrant surge of digital transformation in education, an academic unease arises: how can Islamic values endure and flourish within a fast-paced, algorithm-driven digital space? This study delivers a critical warning—those digital platforms, once considered neutral, are now shaping the reasoning and ethics of younger generations without a clear spiritual foundation. Within the global discourse on character education, numerous studies have revealed the failure of online learning in cultivating students’ moral depth—even in religious environments. This research aims to address that gap by offering a new approach: exploring the contextual, participatory, and reflective integration of Islamic values into digital learning through a multi-site study of three State Islamic High Schools in Cirebon Regency. Using a qualitative instrumental case study design, data were gathered via interviews, online observations, digital content documentation, and triangulation from 36 key informants. Findings indicate that when Islamic values are not merely taught, but visually, symbolically, and productively embedded in digital spaces, students do not simply absorb the values—they become producers of those values. Models such as Ngaji Digital Bareng (Collective Digital Quran Study), contemplative posters, and student-created da'wah videos serve as tangible evidence of character transformation. This study demonstrates that technology, when approached with spiritual awareness, is not a threat to Islamic values, but rather a new arena for civilizational development. The study recommends reconstructing digital madrasah curricula based on value-driven frameworks and enhancing cross-disciplinary teacher training in digital spiritual pedagogy.
