Abstract

This study delves into the concept of building a branding image to enhance public trust in Islamic educational institutions. In today’s competitive educational environment, it is vital for these institutions to not only provide high-quality education but also establish a strong, positive brand identity that resonates with their core values. Utilizing a qualitative research approach with phenomenological methods, the study uncovers that effective branding strategies go beyond mere promotion; they involve management practices that demonstrate integrity, transparency, and a steadfast commitment to educational excellence. The research findings indicate that Islamic educational institutions that successfully manage their branding can significantly enhance public trust, bolster their competitive position globally, and contribute to shaping a generation grounded in moral integrity and academic excellence. By understanding and implementing these branding strategies, these institutions can effectively communicate their values, meet community needs, and ensure their continued relevance and success in an increasingly competitive global educational landscape.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of curriculum management at the Tafaqquh level at Pondok Pesantren Al-Bahjah, a non-formal Islamic education institution oriented towards strengthening morals and mastering the knowledge of Islamic law, especially Arabic. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis was conducted using Miles and Huberman's interactive model to understand the learning and evaluation process. The research found that the Tafaqquh level has a distinctive Arabic-based curriculum with classical learning methods such as lectures, speaking practice, writing, and the use of audio-visual media. Students are evaluated continuously through formative and summative exams to ensure competency achievement. The findings show that the main obstacle is the santri's low understanding of the Arabic material delivered by the teacher. However, strategies such as muhadhoroh activities and communicative approaches are able to improve santri language skills. This study confirms the relevance of pesantren as a center for character education and the development of religious knowledge that can adapt to the times' challenges.

Abstract

Diabetes and cardiovascular disease are examples of non-communicable diseases with the highest prevalence. One way to prevent this deadly disease is by carrying out regular health checks. Blood sugar, cholesterol and uric acid level detection devices on the market are invasive, causing discomfort with needles when drawing blood. The aim of this research is to design a tool to measure blood sugar, cholesterol and uric acid levels non-invasively using the MAX30105 sensor. The MAX30105 sensor will read the infrared value on the fingertip which is then converted into a calculation of blood sugar, cholesterol and uric acid values using the linear regression method. This method will compare the IR value from the sensor output with the results of invasive readings of glucose, cholesterol and uric acid levels to form a regression equation. The measurement data will then be sent via WiFi to the application for easy reading. Based on the experimental results, the accuracy value for glucose reading was 91.44%, cholesterol 84.94% and uric acid 84.91%. More sample variations are needed to map variables that can cause errors in reading values. Apart from that, the amount of light and finger placement procedures also need to be considered to get better accuracy.

Abstract

Sarana dan prasarana sekolah merupakan salah satu faktor penunjang dalam pencapaian keberhasilan proses belajar mengajar di sekolah. Tentunya hal tersebut dapat dicapai apabila ketersedian sarana dan prasarana yang memadai disertai dengan pengelolaan secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskrpsikan strategi pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana di SD Negeri 1 Lempuyangan. Penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian memiliki 2 informan yaitu kepala sekolah, dan Wakil kepala sekolah bidang Sarana dan prasarana. Keabsahan data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah triangulasi teknis (wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi) dan sumber (Kepala sekolah, guru, dan komite sekolah). Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kepala sekolah berperan dalam pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana dengan strategi perencanaan, pengadaan, inventarisasi, pemanfaatan, pemeliharaan, dan pengawasan.

Abstract

Meskipun peran gadget dalam kehidupan anak-anak semakin berkembang, penggunaan gadget yang berlebihan dan tidak terkendali dapat menyebabkan kecanduan, masalah perilaku, dan keterlambatan bahasa. Pola asuh otoriter yang menyeimbangkan kebebasan dan pengawasan memungkinkan orang tua untuk secara efektif mengatur jumlah waktu yang dihabiskan anak-anak mereka di depan layar berdasarkan usia mereka (≤ 1 jam per hari untuk anak-anak yang sangat aktif; ≤ 2 jam untuk anak-anak yang berusia lebih dari 5 tahun) dan menggantinya dengan stimulasi aktif. Kampanye komunikasi "Kurangi Efek Negatif Perangkat" di pos kesehatan terpadu Sekar Kanthil (3 Mei 2025) menyerukan partisipasi melalui studi lokalisasi, koordinasi, dukungan interaktif, dan sesi tanya jawab. Hasilnya, 80% orang tua lebih menyadari efek negatif elektronik dan berupaya membatasi penggunaannya serta menyarankan kegiatan pengganti. Untuk mendukung perkembangan anak usia dini sebaik mungkin, hasil kegiatan tersebut mencakup peningkatan pemahaman orang tua tentang manajemen teknologi, pemantauan konten, dan pengaturan "zona gadget" di rumah.

Abstract

This study aims to examine human resource management (HRM) practices in the Sumurugul Village Library, a community-based library initiated by local efforts. Village libraries play a strategic role in enhancing literacy, providing informal learning spaces, and strengthening social interaction at the community level. However, their management often faces challenges such as limited personnel, low technical competence, and insufficient continuous training support. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and document analysis, then analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The study focused on five key managers actively involved in the library’s operations and literacy programs. The findings indicate that the library’s management structure is simple and voluntary in nature. Limitations in human resources are addressed by involving volunteers, interns, and literacy communities. Capacity development is carried out through needs-based training, webinars, and benchmarking visits. Furthermore, routine literacy programs and community participation reflect employee engagement and collaborative leadership. External support from the village government and institutional networks, although still temporary, contributes to strengthening the capacity of library managers. In conclusion, the success of HRM in the Sumurugul Village Library relies on local initiatives, intrinsic motivation, and the ability to build partnerships. These strategies enable the library to survive and function as an adaptive and sustainable literacy center despite resource constraints.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the alignment of the BBC news portal in the conflict that occurred at the 2022 World Cup. From October to the end of November 2022, the BBC will carry headlines about the Qatar-LGBTQ community-FIFA triangular conflict. This BBC news is interesting to examine critically through the lens of Ruth Wodak (2001), namely historical and discursive strategies. This study uses the Wodak paradigm to criticize the BBC news text about the conflict to reveal the media's ideology and partiality in this case. Wodak always involves historical aspects of discourse content because news texts never stand alone but are related to events in the past. The discursive aspect becomes a tool to frame how news is presented using language as a social practice. The research results state that the BBC is a pro-LGBTQ community. This inclination can be seen from the BBC's language presentation, word choice, and the language structure used by the BBC in presenting news. The BBC is also very skilled at inserting rejection of Qatar's principles through human rights presentations.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of digital archiving systems in Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Cirebon City, as well as analyzing the obstacles and opportunities in the implementation of digital archiving management in Islamic educational institutions. This research was conducted using a qualitative case study approach, supplemented with in-depth interviews, to uncover current practices and challenges in archiving related to digital transformation, as well as projected solutions. It was found that the madrasah has a hybrid system, combining physical and digital archives, with several issues related to document organization/arrangement, storage location, and digital storage security. The madrasah has organized a structured folder system and uses cloud-based storage, and has begun the process of document scanning. The challenges faced include limitations in technological infrastructure and concerns regarding the security of electronically stored data. This study concludes that successful digital archive transformation requires a robust backup system and a phased transition strategy with technological innovation. The study provides insights into digital transformation patterns in Islamic educational institutions and practical recommendations for similar institutions aiming to modernize their archives.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the discipline development of Tafaqquh program students at Al-Bahjah Islamic Boarding School in Cilimus. The type of approach in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive research. The data and data sources used are primary data and secondary data. The data sources in this study are 1) coordinator, 2) teaching staff, and 3) students. Data collection techniques with non-participant observation and structured interviews. Interviews were conducted with the Cilimus branch coordinator, teaching staff, and students. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are the type of discipline coaching applied to the Tafaqquh program at Al-Bahjah Islamic Boarding School in Cilimus is authoritarian and free and controlled which makes students bound to existing rules but still given freedom with specified limits. Discipline coaching techniques are carried out through external control where coaches and administrators emphasize discipline continuously. This slowly fosters santri awareness of discipline. The punishment given is based on violation points which are calculated every day and the type of punishment educates the students. Factors that influence santri discipline include punishment, rewards, the environment, and the example of a teacher who is highly respected by them. The discipline development of students in the tafaqquh program of Al-Bahjah Islamic Boarding School runs and is well managed so that it can raise awareness in students to be disciplined.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how collaborative supervision is implemented by the school principal and to examine its contribution to teachers’ professional competence at one of SMA Negeri in Bandung City. Employing a qualitative case study design, purposive sampling involved the principal, a supervising school inspector, the vice principal for curriculum, and six subject teachers. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, limited participatory observations, and document analysis; data were analyzed interactively using iterative reduction, display, and conclusion/verification procedures. Findings indicate that collaborative supervision unfolds in three interrelated phases: (1) planning (needs identification, negotiated focus, and pre-observation conferences); (2) implementation (clinical classroom observation and dialogic feedback); and (3) follow-up (joint reflection, instructional coaching, and integration with a professional learning community/PLC). Contributions include measurable improvements in teachers’ competencies regarding lesson planning, active and innovative instruction, meaningful formative assessment, and strengthened professional reflection. Key enabling factors are the principal’s instructional leadership, a collaborative school culture, and teachers’ readiness to learn; major challenges include time constraints and administrative load, residual evaluative perceptions of supervision, and uneven coaching skills among supervisors. Practical implications call for strengthening principals’/supervisors’ coaching capacity, safeguarding time for reflective practice through scheduling, and systematically integrating supervision with PLC and lesson study for sustained professional growth.
