Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 memberikan dampak pada kebijakan bidang pendidikan di Indonesia. Pembelajaran dilaksanakan dari rumah (learning from home) menggantikan proses tatap muka di kelas. Penggunaan teknologi menjadi sandaran agar pembelajaran secara daring dapat direalisasi. Aplikasi Zoom merupakan salah satu teknologi yang banyak digunakan dalam perkuliahan saat pandemi Covid-19. Jenis  penelitian  ini  deksriptif  kuantitatif  yang  bertujuan  untuk mendeskripsikan  persepsi mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan aplikasi zoom dalam perkuliahan Kimia Dasar saat pandemi covid-19. Sampel penelitian ini mahasiswa tingkat I Fakultas Teknik dan Perencanaan Universitas Ekasakti dalam perkuliahan Kimia Dasar semester ganjil 2020/2021 berjumlah 80 orang yang dipilih  dengan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpul data digunakan teknik nontes berupa kuisioner. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa mahasiswa yang memberikan respon positif terhadap penggunaan aplikasi Zoom lebih banyak daripada yang memberikan respon negatif.  Secara keseluruhan rata-rata persentase mahasiswa yang memberikan respon positif sebesar 67% dengan kategori cukup, sedangkan rata-rata persentase mahasiswa yang memberikan respon negatif sebesar 33% dengan kategori kurang sekali. Hal ini menunjukan penggunaan aplikasi Zoom dalam perkuliahan Kimia Dasar mampu menunjang kegiatan perkuliahan. Penggunaan aplikasi Zoom membantu mahasiswa lebih termotivasi mengikuti perkuliahan saat pandemi COVID-19.

Abstract

Pengembangan LKPD berbasis learning cycle 5E pada materi struktur atom dan sistem periodik unsur didasarkan pada permasalahan di salah satu Madrasah Aliyah Negeri di Kota Palembang terkait perlunya bahan ajar berupa LKPD yang dapat menunjang proses belajar peserta didik. Sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis learning cycle 5E pada materi struktur atom dan sistem periodik unsur yang valid dan mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis learning cycle 5E pada materi struktur atom dan sistem periodik unsur. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D, dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Namun penelitian ini hanya sampai pada tahap development. Penelitian ini melibatkan validator ahli media/design  dan ahli materi serta 6 orang peserta didik pada uji coba one to one dan 20 orang peserta didik pada uji coba small group. Hasil validasi dari ahli media/desain memperoleh persentase 90% dengan kategori sangat valid dan hasil validasi ahli materi memperoleh persentase 84.46% dengan kategori sangat valid juga. Hasil respon peserta didik terhadap pada uji one to one diperoleh persentase 88.7% dan untuk uji small group diperoleh persentase 88.44%. Keduanya terdapat pada kategori sangat menarik. Dengan demikian LKPD dinyatakan valid dan sangat menarik digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Kimia dikenal sebagai salah satu dari beberapa mata pelajaran yang mempelajari bahan alam. Pembelajaran melalui eksperimen atau praktikum bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahan dari alam dan lingkungan sekitar. Ulasan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada peserta didik yang kemudian diarahkan untuk meningkatkan khasanah metode pembelajaran yang aktif, menyenangkan, kreatif, dan memotivasi peserta didik dalam proses belajar mengajar. Ulasan ini disusun berdasarkan publikasi ilmiah nasional terakreditasi yang dikumpulkan untuk melihat data keberhasilan peserta didik dalam memperoleh nilai mata pelajaran kimia melalui metode praktikum bahan alam. Berdasarkan beberapa literatur menunjukkan bahwa melalui metode pembelajaran ini, nilai peserta didik mengalami peningkatan rata-rata lebih dari 50%. Berdasarkan bukti tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode praktikum dari bahan alam dengan model Project Based Learning dapat meningkatkan keterampilan, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, pengetahuan dan keterampilan kerja serta meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Research Development of group VIIIA and zeolite elemental chemistry teaching materials and problem based learning (PBL) aims to produce valid, practical and effective PBL-based teaching materials. This research is a development research with ADDIE development model combined with Tessmer formative evaluation. The stages of ADDIE development used in this study include the analysis stage, the design stage, and the development stage only, which then proceeds to the Tessmer formative evaluation stage which includes expert review, one to one, small group, and field test. At the expert review stage, PBL-based teaching materials were validated by experts from the field of pedagogic experts with an average score of 1 (high), material experts with an average score of 1 (high) and design experts with an average score of 0.933 (high). The results of the validation assessment scores obtained at the expert review stage were 0.978 (high). This shows that the PBL-based teaching materials that have been developed are valid. The practicality of PBL-based teaching materials is seen from the results of questionnaires and respondents' comments on PBL-based teaching materials with a Cronbach's Alpha value at the one to one stage of 0.800 (very high) and at the small group stage of 0.727 (high) which means PBL-based teaching materials have been practically developed. The effectiveness of the PBL-based teaching materials that have been developed can be seen from the learning outcomes test at the field test stage with an N-gain score of 0.84 in the high category. This shows that the PBL-based teaching materials that have been developed are effective. It can be that the PBL-based teaching materials that have been developed have met the valid, practical, and effective criteria.Keywords: Development research, Problem based learning (PBL) teaching materials, Elemental chemistry of group VIII A and zeolite.

Abstract

This research is a development research that aims to produce a product in the form of e-module Food Chemistry 3 Based on Needham Five Phase Constructivism at the Chemistry Education Study Program, Sriwijaya University with food processing, food braising and food packaging. The researcher uses a 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) modified by Tessmer. The results of the e-module validity test on the pedagogic, design and material aspects according to V Aiken are included in the valid category with each aspect sequentially, namely 0.97, 0.97 0.97. Practicality test on e-module development stage testing belongs to the very practical category with reliable values at the development testing stage 1 and development testing 2, respectively, namely 0.900 and 0.711. The effectiveness test on the e-module in the field test stage is classified as effective with an n-gain score of 0,91. Based on the results of the evaluation, it shows that the e-module developed is included in the valid, practical and effective criteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the curriculum of entrepreneurship courses on the development of integrated learning modules STEM on feed topics to increase the productivity of tilapia fish. This research was conducted on 7th semester students of 2018 class of Chemistry Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University. This research method is descriptive, which collects data using interviews, questionnaires and study documentation. The average value of the questionnaire validity test is 0.630 and the questionnaire reliability test is 0.9 with a very good category. The results of this study showed students strongly agreed as much as 60%, agreed as much as 33.3% and hesitated as much as 6.7% developed a module with the topic of feed to increase the productivity of tilapia and included it in the curriculum of the era of the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study is aims to obtain information on aspects of scientific literacy in science textbooks for class VIII odd semester materials for additives & addictive substances. The research instrument used in this study consisted of aspects of scientific knowledge, aspects of scientific competences and aspects of the context of science. The results of the research in books A and B shown that of the three aspects of scientific literacy, the scientific knowledge aspect has an average percentage of 69.45%, the scientific competences aspect has an average percentage of 22.52%, and the science context aspect has an average percentage of 69.45%. the average percentage is 8.03%. In book A, the science knowledge aspect is 67.74%, the science competences aspect is 25.81% and the science context aspect is 6.45%. Meanwhile, in book B the scientific knowledge aspect is 71.15%, the scientific competences aspect is 19.23% and the science context aspect is 9.62%. This shows that book B contains more aspects of scientific knowledge and aspects of the context of science and book A contains more aspects of scientific competences.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the Science Technology Society Environment approach and reflective inquiry strategy (STSE-IR) in Food Chemistry on carbohydrate topics to practice Evaluative Thinking skills. This research was conducted at the Chemistry Education Study Program in one of the state universities in South Sumatra. The research subjects were students who took the Food Chemistry course in the odd semester of 2018/2019. Research data collection was carried out in August-November 2019. The type of research used was descriptive research. Researchers Obtain information from the implementation of chemistry lectures through observations and Student Work Sheets. The instruments used are observation sheets and Work Sheets Students. Data collection techniques through observation and analysis of Work Sheets documents. The results of the study are as follows. The steps for lectures on Carbohydrates by Lecturers who were observed by observers have been carried out according to the STSE-IR approach stage. The results of the student Work Sheets assessment showed that the average implementation of the STSE-IR approach was 86.15%. Carbohydrates Lecture using the STSE-IR Approach has trained students' evaluative thinking skills. The STSE-IR approach can be used on other topics in food chemistry and other interdisciplinary courses and other thinking skills.Keywords. Abstract

The research aimed to 1) describe the quality of students' scientific literacy questions on the topic of green chemistry and 2) describe the students' initial scientific literacy skills in the class XI IPA1 of MAN Buleleng on the topic of Green Chemistry. The research sample consisted of students in class XI IPA of MAN Buleleng in the Academic Year 2021/2022, who had received Chemistry, Physics, and Biology content concerning Green Chemistry. The research instruments were scientific literacy test questions in 30 multiple choices compiled on Google Form. The research data analysis technique used the quantitative descriptive analysis method. Based on the results and discussions described, it can be concluded that: (1) the results of item analysis using IMB SPSS Statistic 25 reported information that all scientific literacy questions on the topic of green chemistry were valid and had very high reliability. The results of the analysis of students' literacy scores obtained information that students' initial scientific literacy skills on the dimensions of using scientific knowledge were 40% in the very low category; the dimensions for identifying questions were 50% in the low category; the dimensions for drawing conclusions based on evidence were 40% in the very low category; the dimension of understanding nature and its changes was 40% in the very low category, and the dimension of making decisions about nature and its changes was 44% in the low category. Furthermore, hopefully, the research results can be used to reference further research.Keywords: assessment; scientific literacy; green chemistryAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mendeskripsikan kualitas soal literasi sains siswa pada topik kimia hijau, 2) mendeskripsikan kemampuan awal literasi sains siswa Kelas XI IPA 1 MAN Buleleng pada topik kimia hijau. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA MAN Buleleng Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022 yang telah mendapatkan materi Kimia, Fisika dan Biologi dalam kaitannya dengan Kimia Hijau. Instrumen dalam penilian ini adalah soal tes literasi sains berupa pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 30 butir soal yang disusun pada Google Form. Teknik analisis data penelitian menggunakan metode analisis dekriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan yang telah di paparkan maka dapat disimpulkan: (1) Berdasarkan hasil analisis butir soal menggunakan IMB SPSS Statistic 25 didapatkan informasi bahwa semua butir soal literasi sains pada topik kimia hijau valid dan reliabilitas sangat tinggi. Hasil analisis skor kemampuan literasi siswa didapatkan informasi bahwa kemampuan awal literasi sains siswa pada dimensi menggunakan pengetahuan ilmiah sebesar 40% dengan kategori sangat rendah, dimensi mengidentifikasi pertanyaan sebesar 50% dengan kategori rendah, dimensi menarik kesimpulan berdasarkan bukti-bukti sebesar 40% dengan kategori sangat rendah, dimensi memahami alam dan perubahannya sebesar 40% dengan kategori sangat rendah,  dan dimensi membuat keputusan tentang alam dan perubahannya sebesar 44% dengan kategori rendah. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan untuk penelitian selanjutnya.Kata kunci: asesmen, literasi sains, kimia hijau

Abstract

This study is aims to analyze the salt hydrolysis material in the SMA/MA class XI textbooks based on the selection criteria of the 4S TMD. The selection of the 4S TMD used has criteria of the suitability of material with curriculum 2013, the truth of the concept, and influcation of values. The  suitability of material with curicculum 2013 in term of breadth of the material an the depth of concept. Based of the result of the analysis of the breadth of material  in textbook A there are 8 concept labels declared approprite. While the textbook B There are 8 concept labels which are stated to be approprite, and concept labels which is stated to be too broad.  The results of the analysis of the depth  of the concept of textbook A there is 1 concept that is declared approprite, 4 concept are not deepth, 3 concept are too deep. In the textbook B there are 2 concepts that are stated to be approprite, 3 concepts that are not deep enough, and 3 concepts are to deep. The results of the analysis of the truth  of the concept of textbook A there are  2 concept labels which are stated  according to the scientists, and 6 concept label which were stated not to be approprite. In the textbook B  there are 8 concept labels which are stated to e scientifcally correct. The result of the analysis of the instillation of the value of textbook A there are 8 value that are instilled namely, religious, tolerance, democratic, friendly/communicative, hard work, curiosity, discipline, and responsibility. In the textbook B there are 7 values that are instilled namely, tolerance, democracy, friendly/communicative, hard work ,curiosity, discipline, and responsibility. The result of the selection analysis show that textbook B it is better than textbook A can be used in learning activities.
