Abstract

There are two systems in broiler farm those are opened house and closed house. This study aims was to find out the income of closed house broiler farmat non-partnership farming model. It was conducted at CV. Sari Mulya Tunjuk VillageTabanan Regency, from March to May with data for 7 production period. Data obtained consist of primary and secondary data. The secondary data was the performance data at the first to the sixth periods, where as the primary data was the data from the following period (the 7thperiod). The variables observed wereeconomic consisted of investment and production cost, revenue, income, R/C ratio and break even point (BEP). The data obtained was analyzed descriptive and quantitatively. The results showed that of investment cost is Rp 687.825.000, production cost is Rp 374.674.071/period, farmer's income is Rp 70.241.378, with an R/C ratio of 1.19. This effort reached BEP at 4.063,79kg of production or 2.285 head chicken and chicken selling price was Rp16.364/kg. It can be concluded that broiler breeding farms in closed house on the non-partnership model is good and feasible to cultivate. Keywords: Broiler chicken, closed house, non-partnership model, income

Abstract

Research on the performance of local rabbits fed concentrate at different levels with carrot leaf base feed was conducted in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan Subdistrict, Tabanan Regency were reread for 12 weeks. The design used in this research was a randomized block design, with five replications and used 20 unit object. The rabbits were allocated randomly into four treatments, namely rabbits is fed without concentrate (R0), concentrate of 15 g/head/day (R1), concentrate of 30 g/head/day (R2), concentrate of 45 g/head/day (R3). Carrots leaf and water fed ad_libitum. Results of the research, it was found that the rabbits with treatment of R3 consume least carrot leaf and consume more concentrate, so that weight gain and the body weight are the highest (p<0,05), while the obtained FCR is not significantly different from the other treatments. Performance of local rabbits fed control rations plus concentrate 45 g/head/day (R3) showed higher results from treatment of R0 (without concentrate) and the others treatments. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui level penambahan kembang telang ditinjau dari bahan organik dan mineral. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Farm Sesetan Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Udayana, Jl. Raya Sesetan, Gang Markisa, Denpasar. Pengujian bahan organik dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Udayana dan pengujian mineral dilakukan di laboratorium Analitik Universitas Udayana. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan A (65% batang pisang + 30% pollar + 5% (molasis + EM4)), B (55% batang pisang + 10% C. ternatea + 30% pollar + 5% (molasis + EM4)), C (45% batang pisang + 20% C. ternatea + 30% pollar + 5% (molasis + EM4)), D (35% batang pisang + 30% C. ternatea + 30% pollar + 5% (molasis + EM4)). Variabel yang diamati adalah bahan organik dan mineral (Ca, P, dan Zn). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase bahan organik mengalami peningkatan secara nyata ( P<0,05). Mineral Ca, P, dan Zn mengalami peningkatan dan tertinggi pada perlakuan C masing – masing 32,58 ml/L, 0,75% dan 19,26 mg/kg. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan kembang telang pada silase batang pisang dapat meningkatkan kandungan bahan organik dan mineral (Ca, P, dan Zn). Penambahan 30% kembang telang menghasilkan bahan organik tertinggi, sedangkan penambahan 20% kembang telang menghasilkan mineral (Ca, P, dan Zn) tertinggi pada silase batang pisang. Abstract

The study aims to find out of the effect of the utilization of fermented purple sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) skin with Aspergillus niger in the diets on carcass and abdominal fat of bali duck have age 22 weeks. This study has been conducted in the Guwang village, subdistrict of Sukawati, Gianyar for 10 weeks. This study was conducted by completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. Each replications contained five bali ducks have age of 12 weeks with mean of weight approximate 866.6 ± 67.06 gram. The five treatments were A : diets without purple sweet potato skin as control ; B : diets containing 10% unfermented purple sweet potato skin ; C : diets containing 10% fermented purple sweet potato skin ; D : diets containing 20% unfermented purple sweet potato skin and E : diets containing 20% fermented purple sweet potato skin. Observed variables consisted are weight, carcass weight, carcass persentage, and abdominal fat (intestine fat, abdominal fat, and gizzard fat). The results showed that the utilization of feed stuffs containing 10% and 20% fermented of purple sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) skin can improvement weight, carcass weight, and carcass percentage, but statistically not different significant (P>0,05), but it can reduce abdominal fat percentage (intestine fat, abdominal fat, and gizzard fat) significantly (P<0,05) if compared with the control (A). Based on the results of this study concluded that the diets containing 10% and 20% fermented of purple sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) skin in the diets had not effect on improvement weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, but have the effect on decrease in the amount of abdominal fat in bali ducks aged 22  weeks.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh probiotik starbio dalam ransum komersial terhadap recahan karkas ayam broiler. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 5 minggu dengan menggunakan ayam broiler CP707 umur 8 hari tanpa membedakan jenis kelamin. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan dua perlakuan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah P1 (Ransum komersial dengan probiotik starbio 0,25%) dan P0 (Ransum komersial 0% probiotik starbio). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah berat karkas dan recahan karkas meliputi persentase dada, persentase paha, persentase sayap, dan persentase punggung. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan Two Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa probiotik starbio dalam ransum komersial berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase dada dan  persentase paha. Namun probiotik starbio dalam ransum komersial tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase sayap dan persentase punggung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa probiotik starbio 0,25% dalam ransum komersial dapat meningkatkan persentase recahan karkas pada bagian dada dan paha, akan tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap recahan karkas bagian sayap dan punggung.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the effect of lysine, methionine, and choline supplementation in rations to body size of local boar. This study was conducted for 12 weeks at Taman Wedasari st, Batuparas area, Padang Sambian Kaja villege. Design of this study is used completely randomized design (CRD) was used in this study with 3 treatments and repetition. Those treatment were (A)ration with 0% supplementation of lysine, methionine, and choline, (B) with 0,5%, and (C) with 1%. Each treatment was given to 3 local boar, every respetitions contained one boar pig local, in the other words this study is used 9 local boarl. Size parameters observed were chest circle, stomach circle, flank circle,shoulder height, spine height, hip heigh and length of the body. This study showed that those three treatment resulted in similar body size of local boar. It can be concluded that supplementation of lysine, methionine and choline as much as 0,5% and 1% give similar results as control on all of the body size observed. Abstract

This research aims to find out the effect of administration of fermented papaya leaves juice toward the appearance of local hen age 14-22 weeks. This research was conducted at hencoopsowned by farmers located in Kediri Tabanan, for two months since preparation until period prior to laying eggs. The design being used was group random design (RAK) with 4 treatments and 4 repetition, thus there were 16 trial units. Each trial unit used 3 free-range hens age 14 weeks with body weight range between 713.45-1750 g. Those four treatments were: A) Commercial ration without fermented papaya leaves juice as control, B) commercial ration + 10% fermented papaya leaves juice, C) commercial ration + 20% fermented papaya leaves juice, and D) commercial ration + 30% fermented papaya leaves juice. The effect of fermented papaya leaves juice extract in ration. Variables being observed including ration consumption, drinking water consumption, body weight gain, final body weight and ration conversion (FCR). Result of research showed that the increasing use of fermented papaya leaves juice could decrease ration consumption and increase consumption of drinking water, but statistically not markedly different (P>0.05). In treatment C, body weight gain and final body weight was the highest compared than treatment A, B and D, but statistically not markedly different (P>0.05). From this result of research it can be concluded that the administration of fermented papaya leaves juice in commercial ration from level 10-30% does not have an effect toward ration consumption, drinking water consumption, body weight gain and final body weight. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kecernaan ransum pada ayam broiler yang diberi tambahan probiotik. Dilaksanakan di kandang milik Bapak I Made Arcana yang berlokasi di Desa Candikusuma, Jembrana, selama 2 bulan dan laboratorium Nutrisi Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universiras Udayana selama 1 minggu. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan, yaitu: perlakuan A (Air minum tanpa tambahan probiotik sebagai kontrol), Perlakuan B (Air minum + probiotik 0,5 ml), Perlakuan C (Air minum + probiotik 1 ml), dan Perlakuan D (Air minum + probiotik 1,5 ml). Masing-masing perlakuan terdiri atas empat ulangan dan setiap ulangan menggunakan 12 ekor DOC strain CP 707 dengan berat badan rata-rata 49,27 g. Variabel yang diamati adalah kecernaan bahan kering, kecernaan bahan organik, kecernaan protein kasar dan kecernaan serat kasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian probiotik melalui air minum sebanyak 0,5 ml ; 1 ml ; 1,5 ml nyata (P<0,05) meningkatkan kecernaan bahan kering, protein kasar, bahan organik dan kecernaan serat kasar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian probiotik melalui air minum pada level 0,5 ml ; 1 ml ; 1,5 ml dapat meningkatkan kecernaan bahan kering, kecernaan bahan organik, kecernaan protein kasar dan kecernaan serat kasar pada ayam broiler umur 5 minggu.
