Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahanprobiotik starbiodalam ransum komersialterhadap produksi ayam broiler.  Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 5 minggu mulai September hingga Oktober 2013 di peternakan ayam broiler milik Bapak Ir. I Wayan Sana.  Penelitian ini menggunakan ayam broiler berumur 8 hari.  Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah PS (penambahan probiotik starbio 0,25% dalam ransum komersial) dan PK (penambahan probiotik starbio 0% dalam ransum komersial).  Variabel yang diamati adalah produksi ayam broiler meliputi berat awal, berat akhir, pertambahan berat badan, berat potong, susut berat badan, persentase susut berat badan, berat karkas, dan persentase karkas. Variabel tersebut dianalisis dengan menggunakan Two Independent Sampel T-Test.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa probiotik starbio yang ditambahkan dalam ransum komersial tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap berat awal, berat akhir, pertambahan berat badan, berat potong, susut berat badan, dan persentase susut berat badan. Namun, probiotik starbio yang ditambahkan dalam ransum komersial berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) untuk meningkatkan berat karkas dan persentase karkas.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahanprobiotik starbio 0,25%dalam ransum komersial dapat meningkatkan berat karkas dan persentase karkas ayam broiler.

Abstract

This study aims find out the effect of katuk leaf (Sauropus androgynus L. Merr) extract given into drinking water to egg production of Lohmann Brown chicken. This research was conducted in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan Sub-district, Tabanan District for 2 months. A total of 36 Lohmann Brown chicks aged 22-30 weeks used in this study were divided into three treatments. The treatment consisted of drinking water without katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus L. Merr) as control (K0), drinking water given 3% katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus) as K1, and drinking water given 6% katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus) as K2. The research design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with six replications. The observed variables include feed consumption, water consumption, feed conversion ratio, total egg production, hen day production (HDP), egg weight and egg weight on average. In case of significant differences, then followed by multiple analysis of Duncan multiple range test. The results showed that giving the katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus) through drinking water as much as 3% and 6% can markedly increase feed consumption, water consumption, total egg production, hen day production (HDP), egg weight and egg weight on average (P<0.05), but decreased the conversion rate of the ration (P <0.05). Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that giving the katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus) as much as 3% and 6% through drinking water can increase Lohmann Brown chicken egg production aged 22-30 weeks. Abstract

The study aimed to determine the growth and production of Indigofera zollingeriana at various dosages of bioslurry fertilizer was conducted for 10 weeks at Research Station Faculty of Animal Husbandry Udayana University at Pengotan Village, Bangli Districts, Bangli regency. The study used randomized block design (RBD) with four doses of offering bioslurry fertilizer as treatments: D0: without bioslurry fertilizer, D5: 5 ton/ha, D10: 10 ton/ha and D15: 15 ton/ha. The four treatments ware devided in four blocks as replicate, so there ware 16 plots as an experiment unit. Variables observed ware growth, production and characteristics. Result of the study showed that the offering of bioslurry fertilizer could increase the growth of Indigofera zollingeriana and tends to increase it production. Dose 5 tons/ha, 10 tons/ha, and 15 ton/ha increase the number of branches and number of leaves compared to control.  Dose bioslurry 5 ton/ha results leaf dry weight, stem dry weight, total dry weight of forage and leaf area tended (P>0.05) was higher than other treatments. Based on the results of the study it concluded that the bioslurry fertilizer could increase growth Indigofera zollingeriana. Dose 5 tons/ha, 10 tons/ha, and 15 ton/ha were increase the number of branches and number of leaves compared to control, and production of the most well Indigofera zollingeriana produced on the treatment of bio-slurry 5 ton/ha.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of garlic extract, onion, pineapple and turmeric as antibacterial and its effect on the characteristics of landrace pork. The research method used a completely randomized design namely garlic (P1), shallots (P2), pineapple (P3) and turmeric (P4) with 4 replications. The variables measured included pH, water content, water binding capacity, color, aroma and total bacteria. Data analysis using variance (Anova) and non-parametric (Kruskal-Wallis). The results showed that the pH value of landrace pork with turmeric extract (6.67%) significantly (P <0.05) was higher than that of garlic extract (5.61%), shallots (5.45%) and pineapple (5.54%). The ability of binding capacity of meat with red onion extract (27.77%) had a significant effect (P<0.05) higher than garlic extract (26.53%), pineapple (26.19%) and turmeric (22.56%). The panelists response to the color of landrace pork had a significant effect (P<0.05) on turmeric extract. However, it has no significant effect (P>0.05) on garlic extract, onion and pineapple. The total bacteria of landrace pork with garlic extract (3,3 x 108 CFU/g) and shallots (3,8 x 108 CFU/g) significantly affected (P<0.05) lower than pineapple extract (4.6 x 108 CFU/g) and turmeric extract (4.6 x 108 CFU/g). Water content and aroma of landrace pork from the four extracts of natural ingredients showed no significant difference. The conclusion of this study is the ability of antibacterial bioactive substances from the four natural extract ingredients to show that garlic and shallot extract has a significant effect compared to pineapple extract and turmeric extract. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan level suplementasi probiotik Saccharomyces spp. G-7 dalam ransum berpengaruh terhadap bobot potong dan karkas ayam broiler umur 6 minggu.  Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan enam ulangan.  Variabel yang diamati adalah bobot potong, bobot karkas, persentase karkas, konsumsi protein, dan konsumsi lisin.   Ketiga perlakuan yaitu: ayam broiler yang diberi ransum tanpa suplementasi probiotik Saccharomyces spp. G-7 sebagai kontrol (A), dengan suplementasi 0,20% probiotik Saccharomyces spp. G-7 (B), dan suplementasi 0,40% probiotik Saccharomyces spp. G-7 (C).  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi kultur Saccharomyces spp. G-7 0,20% dan 0,40% dalam ransum nyata (P<0,05) dapat  meningkatkan bobot potong, bobot karkas, persentase karkas, konsumsi protein, dan konsumsi lisin dibandingkan kontrol.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi probiotik Saccharomyces spp. G-7 dalam ransum pada level 0,20% dan 0,40% dapat meningkatkan bobot potong dan karkas ayam broiler umur 6 minggu.

Abstract

A research had been carried out to analysis the management production and financial feasibility of analyzing business of fattening Landrace pigs crossbreed from November 2016 to February 2017 in the UD. Intan Ray located in Gadungan Villages, Tabanan. The research were used the primary and secondary data. The financial feasibility of the business was determined based on the results of the analysis of investment criteria, the analysis of the Pay Back Period and Break Even Point. The research showed that UD. Intan Ray has paid attention to several aspects in the pig fattening management including: the selection of piglets, cage, feed, disease prevention and handling, labour, and marketing but they aren’t yet maximal. The business has Net Present Value/NPV of Rp 149.351.115,- IRR 30,97%, Net B/C 1,61, Pay Back Period 1,37 year and Break Even Point achived on 4,82 years. The results of the analysis showed that this business are feasible when the number of maintenance pigs were more than 33 animals/year or the selling price more than Rp. 22.390/kg. Thus it can be concluded that fattening pigs of Landrace crossbreed at UD. Intan Ray wass feasible financially. Keywords: fattening pigs, financial feasibility, Landrace pigs crossbreed

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji persentase daging dada dan paha broiler yang diberi ampas tahu terfermentasi dengan khamir Saccharomyces sp. sebagai inokulan probiotik.  Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan  dan enam ulangan. Variabel yang diamati adalah berat karkas, komposisi fisik bagian dada, dan komposisi fisik bagian paha atas. Ketiga perlakuan yaitu ayam yang diberi ransum tanpa ampas tahu terfermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. sebagai kontrol (A), ayam yang diberi ransum 5% ampas tahu terfermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. (B), dan ayam yang diberi ransum 10% ampas tahu terfermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. (C). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ampas tahu terfermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. pada level 5% (B) dan 10% (C) pada persentase dada dan daging dada ayam broiler memberikan hasil yang nyata lebih tinggi (P<0,05) dari pada ayam yang mendapat perlakuan ransum tanpa ampas tahu (perlakuan A), tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap persentase tulang dada, lemak subkutan termasuk kulit dada, paha atas, daging paha atas, tulang paha atas dan lemak subkutan termasuk kulit paha atas dibandingkan dengan kontrol (A). Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ampas tahu tefermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. pada level 5%-10% dalam ransum dapat meningkatkan persentase daging pada recahan dada dan persentase daging dada karkas ayam broiler.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using by Saccharomyces cerevisiae fermented fruit skin flour in rations on broiler organs. The study was conducted at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Research Station of Udayana University, Jimbaran, Badung, Bali for 5 weeks.Research using broilers type MB 202 take from PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk. One week old (DOC) as many as 90 tails with homogeneous body weight. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 replications, where each replication consisted of 5 broilers. The treatment tried in this study was RKBN0 ration without dragon fruit skin, RKBN1 ration with 5% fermented dragon fruit skin, RKBN2 ration with 7% fermented dragon fruit skin. Variables observed were heart weight, liver weight, spleen weight and bile weight. The results showed that the treatment of RKBN1 and RKBN2 received lower internal organs (heart, liver, spleen and bile) compared to RKBN0, but it was not statistically different (P> 0.05). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the use of dragon fruit peel flour as much as 5% and 7% no effect on broiler organs in the age of 5 weeks.Keywords :Broilers,internal organs, fermented dragon fruit skin flour,Saccharomyces cerevisie

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggantian ransum komersial dengan tepung kulit kecambah kacang hijau terhadap penampilan itik bali jantan umur 0-8 minggu. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan, tiap perlakuan menggunakan lima ulangan dan setiap ulangan menggunakan tiga ekor itik bali jantan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu; P0 (ransum komersial 100%), P1 (penggantian 6% ransum komersial dengan tepung kulit kecambah kacang hijau) dan P2 (penggantian 12% ransum komersial dengan tepung kulit kecambah kacang hijau). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah berat badan awal, konsumsi ransum, konsumsi air minum, berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan dan Feed Convertion Ratio. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggantian 6% dan 12% ransum komersial dengan tepung kulit kecambah kacang hijau berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi ransum, konsumsi air minum, berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan dan FCR. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan penggantian 6% dan 12% ransum komersial dengan tepung kulit kecambah kacang memberikan pengaruh yang sama baiknya dengan itik yang diberikan ransum komersial. Kata kunci : Itik bali jantan, tepung kulit kecambah kacang hijau, penampilan, ransum komersial
