Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan hasil rumput Panicum maximum yang ditanam bersama legum Alysicarpus vaginalis dengan dosis pupuk organik (pupuk kotoran kambing) berbeda. Penelitian dilaksanakan di rumah kaca Stasiun Penelitian Sesetan Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Udayana dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) pola tersarang. Pola pertama adalah campuran tanaman rumput dan legum yang meliputi 1 rumput + 1 legum (C1), 1 rumput + 2 legum (C2), 1 rumput + 3 legum (C3) dan pola kedua adalah dosis pupuk yaitu 0 ton/ha (K0), 15 ton/ha (K15), 30 ton/ha (K30). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penanaman campuran antara rumput Panicum maximum dan legum Alysicarpus vaginalis tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap variabel pertumbuhan dan hasil rumput kecuali pada berat kering total hijauan. Pemberian pupuk organik pada dosis 30 ton/ha memberikan hasil yang lebih baik pada variabel pertumbuhan dan hasil rumput namun pada tinggi tanaman K15 lebih baik. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian adalah Penanaman 1 rumput + 2 legum (C2) cenderung memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil rumput Panicum maximum yang lebih tinggi danpemberian pupuk kotoran kambing dengan dosis tertinggi 30 ton/ha mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil rumput Panicum maximum. Abstract

Penelitian menggunakan rancangan kelompok teracak lengkap (randomized complete block design ),dengan tiga  perlakuan ransum dan empat  blok. Penelitian ini menggunakan 12 ekor sapi dengan bobot badan 262±11,27 kg. Sapi Bali di alokasikan secara acak  kedalam tiga perlakuan, yaitu sapi-sapi yang mendapat perlakuan kontrol RKMBI0 yaitu konsentrat molamix tanpa minyak ikan lemuru, RKMBI5 konsentrat-molamix berminyak ikan lemuru 5%, RKMBI10 konsentrat-molamix berminyak ikan lemuru 10%. Rumput gajah diberikan secara ad libitum yang dipotong dengan mesin chopper pada semua perlakuan dan konsentrat diberikan 3 kg/hari/ekor dengan dicampur bersama rumput. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, persentase tertinggi potongan non karkas internal bagian hati terdapat pada perlakuan RKMBI10 yaitu 1,70%, diikuti RKMBI5 1,59%, dan RKMBI0 yaitu 1,50% berbeda tidak nyata. Begitu juga untuk potongan non karkas internal lainnya ginjal,limpa paru-paru, dan jantung menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05) Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan pemberian suplementasi minyak ikan lemuru dalam kosentrat molamix tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap potongan non karkas internal sapi bali.

Abstract

Kefir fortified with purple sweet potato can be a health daily drink. The research is aimed to determine was to identify the best storage period kefir product, to identify antioxidant capacity, and to evaluate the quality of kefir product at different storage. This research was conducted for 3 months from 21 February to 21 May 2015 in Technology and Microbiology Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Biochemistry and Food and Science Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Technology Agriculture, Udayana University. Methods use in this study was completely randomized design (CRD), using 5 treatments (0, 1, 3, 5, and 7 days) during storage and 4 replication. Variables observed were pH, percentage of total acid, phenol, antioxidant capacity, and IC50. Storage period were non significantly affected the content of pH, and total acid. Storage period were significantly affected the content of phenol, antioxidant capacity, and IC50. Based of this research it could be concluded that the best storage period of kefir fortified with purple sweet potato was at 3 days with total value of phenol 37.5798 mg/100 ml GAE, antioxidant capacity 11.3800 mg/L.GAEAC, and IC50 246.81 mg/ml.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the effect of different levels protein and energy rations given to the body composition of bali cattle heifers. This research was conducted at Cattle Farm in Belok Sidan Village, Petang District, Badung Regency for 3 months. A total of 12 heifers in this study, were use and they were divided into three groups by their weights. Randomized block design (RBD) was used for experimental design. There were four different rations given those groups; Those rations were A consisted of 12% crude protein and 2000 kcal ME/kg of energy; B (13% crude protein and 2100 kcal ME/kg of energy); C (14% crude protein and 2200 kcal ME/kg of energy) and D (15% crude protein and 2300 kcal ME/kg of energy). Variables observed were water (%), fat (%), protein (%) and fat retention (g/e/h). This study showed that water and protein of the body were not affected (P>0,05) by above treatment of the body, on the contrary to the fat content and fat retention. The highest body fat and fat retention obtained in treatment D were about 20,33% and 85,81 g/e/h. Hence, it can be concluded that ration contain 12% to 15% crude protein and 2000 to 2300 kcal ME/kg metabolic energy not affected water, and protein of the body. This results were still in the range of the standard recommended. Where as 39,8%-77,6% for the body water and 12,4%-20,6% for the body protein. 15% of crude protein and 2300 kcal ME/kg of energy given resulted in the highest body fat and retention rates of 20,33% and 85,81 g/e/h, respectively. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of a storage time of up to 28 days on the quality of duck eggs in Jimbaran Region. This research was conducted at the Poultry Laboratory in the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, this study counducted 4 week. The design that be used in this study is a completely randomized design with 5 treatments, 4 replications, each replication consisting of 3 eggs so that the total eggs used are 60. The variables observed were based on external quality which consisted of egg weight and egg shape index. Whereas based on internal quality consisting of eggshell thickness, eggshell weight, Haugh Unit of eggs, of yolk color and pH of eggs. The results showed that external quality, of egg weight and egg index gave no significant differences (P> 0.05). This was also obtained from internal variables, namely eggshell thickness, eggshell weight, egg yolks color obtained similar results no significant different (P>0,05). Whereas on Haugh Unit at 7 days (P7) storage treatment gave significantly different results (P <0.05). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the storage of duck eggs for 28 days at 28 ? in Jimbaran did not affect egg weight, egg index, eggshell thickness, eggshell weight, yolk color and pH, while the effect of decreased Haugh Unit of duck eggs. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung kulit kerang pada ransum komersial terhadap persentase karkas ayam Isa Brown umur 105 minggu. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan tiap perlakuan menggunakan 5 ulangan dan setiap ulangan menggunakan 3 ekor ayam Isa Brown. Keempat perlakuan tersebut adalah perlakuan A ransum komersial tanpa tepung kulit kerang, B ransum komersial dan 1% tepung kulit kerang, C ransum komersial dan 2% tepung kulit kerang, D ransum komersial dan 3% tepung kulit kerang. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini antara lain bobot potong, bobot karkas, persentase karkas, persentase dada, persentase sayap, persentase paha dan persentase punggung. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa persentase paha pada perlakuan B dan D nyata (P<0,05) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan A dan C. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian tepung kulit kerang pada level 1% dan 3% pada ransum komersial dapat meningkatkan persentase paha, namun tidak dapat meningkatkan bagian bobot potong, bobot karkas, persentase karkas, persentase dada, persentase sayap dan persentase punggung ayam Isa Brown umur 105 minggu. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of profits derived from the pig breeding business owned by Mr. I Made Sukarata with the maintenance scale of 47 mains. This activity was held in Banjar Batuparas, Padangsambian Kaja Village, West Denpasar on 18 October to 04 November 2017. Method of data retrieval conducted in this activity that is observation, practice directly in field, and interview to farmer. The variables observed in this activity are business analysis including net income, R / C ratio (Revenue Cost Ratio), breakeven price, and breakeven point of production. Poultry breeding business in the farm of Mr. I Made Sukarata with the production scale of 47 mains requires an investment cost of Rp. 168.100.000. Operasinal costs incurred within 6 months of maintenance of Rp. 163.167.926. Poultry breeding business in the father farmer I Made Sukarata with the maintenance scale of 47 mains within 6 months to earn a profit of Rp. 85.832.074 with R / C ratio 1,5. This breeding business reaches breakeven point when the price of seedlings Rp. 206,824 or produce 147 seeds per period Keyword: business analysis, pig, breeding.

Abstract

Mount Agung eruption, August to December 2017, caused bali cattle to be evacuated. This study aims to compare the chemical composition and physical characteristics of Bali cattle rations before and after in evacuation zones. The first phase was a survey conducted in January to April 2018 on farmers to collect information about botanical composition fed before and after in evacuation zones and sampling feed ingredients (forages and concentrates). The second phase was to analysis in the laboratory from May to June 2018. The ration was made based on observation in evacuation zones and tabulation of data from the questionnaire result. The research variables were chemical compositionof ration ie: dry matter (%), organic matter (%), crude protein (%), crude fiber (%), ether extract (%) and gross energy (kcal/kg) and physical characteristics ie: bulk density (g/ml), water holding capacity (%), and water solubility (%) of the ration. Results showed thatthe chemical composition given after in evacuation zone based on the protein and energy were 13.32% and 3890 kcal/kg. Physical characteristics of ration which includes bulk density, water holding capacity, and water solubility are higher after in evacuation zones. In conclusion, chemical composition based on lower protein and higher energy after in evacuation zones, physical characteristics of ration after in evacuation zone was higher than before. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak air daun mengkudu melalui air minum terhadap kadar protein, lemak dan kolesterol kuning telur ayam Lohmann Brown umur 22-30 minggu. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Dajan Peken, Kabupaten Tabanan-Bali selama 3 bulan dengan menggunakan 36 ekor ayam Lohmann Brown umur 22-30 minggu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 6 kali ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut: tanpa ekstrak air daun mengkudu (Morinda Citrifolia Linn.) sebagai kontrol (M0); pemberian 2% ekstrak air daun mengkudu (M1) dan 4% ekstrak air daun mengkudu (M2). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah kadar protein kuning telur, kadar lemak dan kadar kolesterol kuning telur. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji berganda dari Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak air daun mengkudu sebanyak 2% dan 4% dapat meningkatkan kadar protein kuning telur ayam, menurunkan kadar lemak dan kolesterol kuning telur ayam Lohmann Brown umur 22-30 minggu.
