Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the effect of probiotics supplemented in low protein diets on performances of broiler aged 2-6 weeks. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and six replications. Each replication consisted of three broiler chickens aged two weeks with homogeneous body weight. The treatments were a standard ration containing 20% crude protein as a control diets (A), the ration with 18% crude protein content (B), and a diet with 18% crude protein content with a probiotic 0.20% Saccharomyces spp supplemented (C). Feed containing 2900kcal/kg metabolic energy and water were provided ad libitum. The results showed that the decrease of crude protein content rations of 2% units lower than the recommended standard rations (treatment B) were significantly reduced (P<0.05) on final body weight, body weight gains, and feed efficiency compared both with the control and treatmens C groups. In contrast, there were increased significantly different (P<0.05) on the amount of abdominal-fat. Supplementation of probiotic 0.20% Saccharomyces spp in the ration C were increased on body weight gains and feed efficiencies significantly different (P<0.05) compared with treatment B.  In contrast, there were decreased significantly (P<0.05) different on abdominal-fat and blood serum cholesterol contents of chicken.  It was concluded that supplementation of probiotic 0.20% Saccharomyces spp culture in ration with protein content 18 % resulting the same of broiler performance aged 2-6 weeks compared to the control. Supplementation of probiotic 0.20% Saccharomyces spp cultures in the ration can decrease abdominal fat and blood serum cholesterol contents of broiler aged 2-6 weeks.

Abstract

The innovation of feed manufacturing technology is an innovation that can process pineapple peel waste into poultry feed by applying facultative anaerobic fermentation technology. The purpose of implementing this technological innovation is to optimize the use of several local raw materials (bran, milled corn and fermented pineapple peel) into poultry feed through the Partner Village Empowerment Program (PPDM) in 2021. This activity has been carried out in Sigar Penjalin Village in partnership with the group. youth mosque "Qomarul Huda Al-Hasanah" Cupek Hamlet. The method used in implementing the program is the Participatory Research Appraisal (PRA) method, which is a form of method that involves all members of the target partner in carrying out the work program. From the program that has been implemented, it is found that around 95% of the members of the mosque's youth group are ready to do business in the field of broiler chicken cultivation using feed sourced from local raw materials. The results of monitoring and evaluation show that the use of fermented pineapple peel can increase the slaughter weight of broiler chickens with a carcass percentage of 68.12%. Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada kelompok ternak unggas di Desa Pengotan. Semuaanggota kelompok ternak unggas berasal dari Desa Pengotan, Kabupaten Bangli. Tujuan sosialisasidan demontrasi ini adalah pemanfaatan bioteknologi probiotik untuk meningkatkan nilai gunabahan pakan alternative sebagai pakan unggas di Desa Pengotan, Bangli. Melalui pengabdian ini,diharapkan anggota kelompok ternak unggas mempunyai pengetahuan dan ketrampilan tentangteknologi biofermentasi untuk meningkatkan nilai nutrisi tanaman dedak padi dan ampas tahusebagai pakan unggas alternative dengan menggunakan inokulan ragi tape. Hasil kegiatanmenunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan dan ketrampilan partisipan tentang teknik biofermentasi untukmeningkatkan kandungan nutrisi dedak padi dan ampas tahu sebagai pakan unggas alternativeinokulan ragi tape meningkat sebesar 27,62%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan danketrampilan petani ternak unggas meningkat 27,62% setelah diberi pelatihan mengolah dedak padisebagai pakan unggas alternative dengan teknik fermentasi menggunakan inokulan ragi tape.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan bioteknologi fermentasi jerami padi sebagai pakan ternak alternatif di lakukan pada kelompokternak sapi potong “Walung Sari” di Desa Pengotan, Bangli. Akhir-akhir ini, dalam pemeliharaanternaknya, peternak memanfaatkan hijauan dan rumput lapangan yang ada disekitar kandangnya. Umumnya,mereka memanfaatkan jerami padi untuk ternaknya, di mana ketersediaannya cukup banyak dan tersediasepanjang tahun. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, perlu dilaksanakan sosialisasi dan demo bagaimana caranyameningkatkan kecernaan jerami padi dan meningkatkan ketrampilan cara pengolahan jerami padi denganteknik biofermentasi untuk meningkatkan kecernaan jerami padi pada ternak sapi mereka. Hasil sosialisasidan demo pengolahan jerami menunjukkanbahwa pemahaman dan ketrampilan anggota kelompok ternaksapi “Walung Sari” terhadap metode dan manfaat pengolahan jerami padi berkualitas rendah dengan teknikfermentasi meningkat sebesar 35,50% dibandingkan dengan sebelum adanya demo dan sosialisasi. Terjadipeningkatan yang signifikan (meningkat 25,80%) setelah adanya sosialisasi dan pembagian brosur tentangjenis dan macam hijauan makanan ternak unggul. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan dan ketrampilananggota kelompok ternak sapi potong “Walung Sari” di Desa Pengotan, Bangli meningkat signifikankhususnya dalam bidang bioteknologi fermentasi jerami dan pengenalan hijauan makanan ternak unggul.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian probiotik Saccharomyces spp.N-2 (isolat dari ragi tape) dalam ransum ayam petelur untuk meningkatkan kecernaan dan menurunkan jumlah amonia dalam ekskreta. Sebanyak seratus dua puluh ayam petelur dewasa umur 40 minggu digunakan dalam percobaan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat dan enam kali ulangan. Keempat macam perlakuan, yaitu: ransum tanpa pemberian probiotik sebagai kontrol (A); ransum dengan penambahan 0,10% Saccharomyces spp.N-2 (B); ransum dengan 0,20% Saccharomyces spp.N-2 (C); dan ransum dengan 0,30% Saccharomyces spp.N-2 (D). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecernaan bahan kering, bahan organik, dan protein kasar ransum meningkat nyata (P<0,05) pada ayam perlakuan B, C, dan D. Sedangkan diantara perlakuan B, C, dan D, berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05). Jumlah bakteri Choliform, E. coli dalam saluran pencernaan ayam Grup B, C, dan D, secara signifikan (P<0,05) menurun dibandingkan dengan kontrol (Grup A). Demikiann juga halnya dengan kadar gas amonia (N-NH3) dalam ekskreta ayam, menurun secara nyata (P<0,05) dengan adanya suplementasi probiotik dalam ransum. Disimpulkan bahwa penambahan 0,10-0,30% probiotik Saccharomyces spp.N-2 dalam ransum dapat meningkatkan kecernaan ransum, serta menurunkan kandungan bakteri E. coli dan gas amonia dalam ekskreta ayam petelur Lohmann Brown.

Abstract

Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di Gianyar-Bali, untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan jerami padi sebagai pakandasar sapi bali penggemukan melalui perlakuan amoniasi dan biofermentasi dengan Starbio dan Trichodermavirideae. Rancangan acak kelompok digunakan dalam percobaan ini yang terdiri atas empat perlakuan dan tigablok sebagai ulangan dengan 1 unit percobaan adalah 1 ekor sapi bali jantan. Perlakuan pertama adalah ransumkontrol yang terdiri atas jerami padi tanpa perlakuan diberikan secara ad libitum + complete feed sebanyak 1.5%dari bobot hidup sapi. Perlakuan kedua, ketiga, dan keempat adalah sama dengan ransum kontrol tetapi jerami padidiberi perlakuan berturut-turut amoniasi urea, biofermentasi dengan starbio, dan Trichoderma virideae. Peubahyang diamati meliputi konsumsi ransum, deposisi nutrien, retensi energi, pertambahan bobot hidup sapi danfeed conversion ratio (FCR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi bahan kering ransum kontrol nyatalebih tinggi daripada ransum dengan jerami padi yang diberi perlakuan biofermentasi mikroba. Namun demikian,deposisi nutrien (lemak dan protein), retensi energi dan pertambahan bobot hidup sapi lebih tinggi pada ransumberbasis jerami padi yang diberi perlakuan amoniasi urea dan biofermentasi dengan starbio maupun denganTrichoderma virideae. Dari keempat perlakuan tersebut, ternyata jerami padi yang diberi perlakuan amoniasiurea memberikan hasil paling baik dengan pertambahan bobot hidup sapi paling tinggi (0,53 vs 0,47, 0,46, dan0,41 kg/ekor/hari). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa jerami padi dengan amoniasi ureamemberikan pemanfaatan secara optimal sebagai pakan dasar sapi bali penggemukan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of pollard replacement with rice bran supplementedmultivitamin-mineral in ration on the performance of crossbred pigs. The design used a randomized block design(RBD) consists of 3 treatments and 4 groups as replications. The treatments A (control): pollard in ration withoutmultivitamin-mineral supplementation, B: ration with rice bran without multivitamin-mineral supplementation,C: ration with rice bran which supplemented with 0.20% multivitamin-mineral. The variables observed were finalbody weight, weight gain, feed consumption, FCR, protein, crude fiber, and fat consumption.The results showedthat the ration with rice bran supplemented with 0,20% multivitamin-mineral were able to produce the same finalweight, weight gain, and FCR with the control and increase significantly crude fiber consumption 45,57 g/h, 85,63g/h of fat consumption, and decrease 207,64 g/h protein consumption. However, the feed consumption showed nosignificant differences in each treatment. It can be concluded that pollard replacement with rice bran supplementedwith 0,20% multivitamin-mineral in ration fed to crossbred pigs can produce similar production performance ascontrol, and increase consumption of crude fiber, and fat consumption.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menentukan efek dosis Saccharomyces spp.Kb-13 (isolasi dari cairan rumenkerbau) sebagai probiotik pada kinerja produksi, karakteristik kualitas telur, dan kadar kolesterol kuning telurayam Lohmann Brown. Seratus dua puluh ayam petelur Lohmann Brown umur 72 minggu digunakan dalampercobaan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 macam perlakuan, yaitu: S0: tanpa pemberian probiotik; S1:Dengan penggunaan 0,10% Saccharomyces spp.Kb-13; S2: dengan penggunaan 0,20% Saccharomyces spp.Kb-13;and S3: dengan penggunaan 0,30% Saccharomyces spp.Kb-13. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberianSaccharomyces spp.Kb-13 secara nyata (P<0,05) dapat meningkatkan berat telur total, efisiensi penggunaanpakan, warna kuning telur, persentase kuning dan kulit telur, dan ketebalan cangkang. Suplementasi probiotik kedalam diets ternyata tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi ransum, indek telur, HU, dan BJ telur.Administrasi 0,20-0,30% Saccharomyces spp.Kb-13 menghasilkan kadar kolesterol kuning yang lebih rendah(P<0,05). Disimpulkan bahwa penerapan dalam diet 0,20-0,30% Saccharomyces spp.Kb-13 meningkatkan massatelur, efisiensi pakan, warna kuning telur, persentase kuning telur dan kulit telur, dan ketebalan cangkang telur,serta menurunkan kadar kolesterol dalam yolk pada ayam petelur Lohmann Brown

Abstract

An experiment has been conducted to investigate the effect of multy enzym (optizyme enzyme) andyeast addited to caccao-pod in the ration to reduce 6 weeks broiler meat cholesterol. This research used acompletely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments: as a control ration (0% caccao-pod); 15%caccao-pod; 15% cacao-pod + 0,20% optizyme enzyme and 15% caccao-pod + 0,20% yeast, with six replicates.There were five broilers 2 weeks similar on the same weight in each replicate. The experimental diets forthe 6 weeks finishing period were formulated to 20% crude protein and Energy Metabolish (2900 ME kcal/kg) in mash formed diet while drinking water was given ad libitum. The experiment was done 4 weeks.The result there was a significant decreas of cholesterol on the diet content 0,20% optizyme enzyme or0,20% yeast, were reduced distribution body fat and meat cholesterol.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess the ability of 0.2% and 0.4% of cellulolytic bacteria B-6 as a probiotic source to increase egg weight and physical quality of egg in Lohmann Brown laying hens aged 40-48 weeks. Hens used in the research is laying hens Lohmann Brown aged 40 weeks as many as 36 heads with homogeneous body weight. The design used in this study was Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with three treatments, namely the provision of drinking water with out the addition of cellulolitik B-6 bacteria as control (A), drinking water with the addition of 0.2% cellulolitik B- 6 bacteria (B), and drinking water with the addition of 0.4% cellulolitik B-6 bacteria (C). Each treatment consisted of six replications and each replicate using of two hens. The variables observed were egg weight, percentage of egg whites, percentage of egg yolk, and percentage of egg shell. The results showed that in laying hens treatment B and C were egg weight, percentage of egg yolk, and percentage of egg shell significantly defferent (P<0.05) higher than laying hens treatment A, while laying hens treatment B and C percentage of egg white significantly defferent (P<0,05) more low compared to laying hens that get treatment A. It was conclude that giving 0.2% and 0.4% probiotics Cellulolitik B-6 in drinking water can increase egg weight, egg yolk percentage, eggshell percentage, while the percentage of egg whites decreased.
