Abstract

The development of the Jonegoroan Rancak Thengul batik motif design is carried out to produce Jonegoroan batik that is creative, innovative and opens up many economic and creative industry opportunities in Bojonegoro. This development is important considering that the Rancak Thengul motif was inspired by Bojonegoro's signature art, Wayang Thengul. The results of design development are expected to: 1) open new opportunities and perspectives on batik products with Jonegoroan Rancak Thengul motifs ranging from visual details, colors, composition, production processes to product realization. 2) Developing by combining the typical art of Wayang Thengul and the natural potential of Bojonegoro as a source of ideas by increasing the visual quality and artistic value, thus opening up market and economic opportunities in Bojonegoro. The results of this research and design development conclude that design development will be beneficial for batik industry players in Bojonegoro in developing Joegoroan batik designs. With creative and innovative developments, Jonegoroan batik will be able to open up new opportunities and make Jonegoroan batik a superior product and an economic milestone in the City of Bojonegoro.

Abstract

This design was carried out as a form of experimental development of natural coloring using coffee grounds waste with the tie-dye technique offering a unique and attractive visual. The purpose of this design is to develop textile dyeing with coffee waste by giving geometric patterns through the tie-dye technique with a variety of fixators that produce different color reactions in a visual work in plain cloth which is given a motif through the design process. The results of this textile design are as follows: (1) Coffee grounds as a natural textile dye through tie-dye technique with a source of geometric line ideas in tie-dye design. The design results succeeded in making 6 textile designs. (2) The application of coffee dregs staining with the tie-dye technique in the form of lines and using several fixators with different color reactions produces a product that looks attractive, elegant, striking, has distinctive features and is different from the others.

Abstract

The room divider is a created situation to produce different areas in a room. Exploration of crochet techniques using vetterban material will be applied on the middle part of the room divider. The approach method used by the thesis werethe method of creating craft art according to Gustami, which includes three stages namely exploration stage(to seeking sources of ideas, to collect reference sources, to get the solution material in the design), planning stage visualization of ideas in the form of verbal descriptions with severa ldeliberation from various aspects including material aspect, technical aspect, aesthetic aspect, aspect of function and achieved in the form of 6 alternative sketches), embodiment stage (transforming1 alternative sketch into a work). Results of the exploration of the crochet technique in room dividers using veterban material, consist of 3 room dividing parts, plane 1 and 3 have the same design, plane 2 in the middle has a different plane. The colors used are bright colors.

Abstract

Company identity is a description of a product or company which is used to compare other similar products or companies. The purpose of visual identity is to recognize and differentiate one another. In this final project, Tandatanya Coffee does not yet have an identity which describes the company itself. The steps used in designing Tandatanya Coffee's visual identity are pre-production, production and post-production. The writer chose simple with Japanese touch as the concept design according to its interior. Based on the analysis that has been done, the writer decided to make logo, stationary, packaging, apron, neon box, and promotional media.

Abstract

Semarang is one of the cities that has the potential for iconic building tourism. With the various kinds of iconic buildings in Semarang, it’s necessary to have promotional media that supports to disseminate tourism information on iconic buildings in Semarang, which is merchandise media. All merchandise designs that are made contain visual illustration designs with realist illustrative depictions of the surreal approach of the iconic buildings in Semarang. The design process starts from manual manufacturing of illustrations. The illustration design is made using manual techniques and digital finishing through the Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 software. The process of produce merchandise design through several stages of the pre-production process, the production process, the post-production process. The product are t-shirts, tote bags, key chains, wall hangings, flower pots, pillows, soft case, masks, binders, mugs and plates, and decorative lamps. Through the design of this merchandise , it’s hoped that it can increase the number of tourist visits, and can provide broad information to the public about what iconic buildings are in Semarang.

Abstract

The aim of this study project is to produce a draft picture book telling the story of the legend of Ratu Kalinyamat in order to preserve the wisdom of Jepara’s local culture. The work process in making this work goes through three processes, namely pre-production, production, and post- production. The process of illustration design was using manual techniques at the stage of sketching and coloring using poster paint. Then at the layout and editing stage using digital techniques with Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Illustrator CS6 software. The design of the picture book tells the story of the legend of Ratu Kalinyamat which produces thirty-two pages for story illustrations and narrative text, front cover pages, back cover pages, and supporting pages which include sub covers, character introductions, moral message pages, and author bio. The work of this study project is expected to increase children's enthusiasm in getting to know the legendary story of Ratu Kalinyamat.

Abstract

Gallery B9 is one of the facilities in the Department of Fine Arts in supporting the improvement of learning activities at the Department of Fine Arts, FBS, UNNES which is expected to have a Web-based gallery space lending system as a service that is open to anyone who wants to take advantage of the B9 gallery. Aim of this study is 1) to create a web-based booking system as a service media at Studio and Gallery B9 Department of Fine Arts, Semarang State University. 2) to implementing a trial-based studio and gallery lending system as a supporting facility for students of the Department of Fine Arts, Semarang State University. Methodology that used is SDLC, which is used as an appraiser on the website . After using a questionnaire for 22 students. The results obtained that the website -based lending system has good communication effectiveness, this is evident from the results of the questionnaire showing 86% communication efficiency. The problem of the model and visual appearance is vital as a representation of the Department and University, it is considered to have an aesthetic level that is 89% efficient and easy to use. The features on the website are also interesting so they can show 89% results. After testing the loan, 82% said they were satisfied using this feature. The average input provided is giving a checklist about the facilities that are owned in each studio

Abstract

Wayang merupakan identitas diri orang Jawa serta merupakan ciri khas bangsa In-donesia karena termasuk sebagai salah satu seni tradisi Indonesia. Hal utama yang menarik untuk diketahui tentang bentuk wayang kulit adalah tentang pewarnaan-nya. Dalam warna wayang, terdapat jiwa dari tokoh wayang tersebut, seperti yang dikerjakan oleh perajin wayang desa Tunahan kabupaten Jepara. Tujuan peneli-tian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan teknik, nilai estetis dan simbolis yang terdapat pada warna wayang kulit perajin wayang desa Tunahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sasaran penelitian adalah way-ang kulit yang dikerjakan oleh perajin wayang desa Tunahan kabupaten Jepara. Teknik pewarnaan di desa Tunahan menggunakan alat dan bahan yang sederhana dan mudah didapatkan, yakni menggunakan cat tembok merek paragon yang da-pat dicampurkan untuk menghasilkan warna-warna yang diinginkan. Nilai estetis warna terdapat pada penggunaan keseluruhan warna yang dipadukan. Terkadang ada beberapa tokoh yang menggunakan warna bertumbukan. Perajin desa Tuna-han sepertinya lebih menekankan pewarnaan pada selera perajin ketika proses me-warna, daripada mengikuti pedoman pewarnaan yang sudah ada. Makna simbolis yang ada pada pewarnaan wayang kulit purwa terdapat pada pewarnaan muka dan badan.Terkadang pewarnaan yang sama pada muka wayang karya perajin desa Tu-nahan memiliki arti simbolis yang berbeda, karena dalam hal ini lebih disesuaikan pada karakter yang ingin digambarkan pada tiap tokoh wayangnya. Wayang is a Javanese identity and Indonesia are the hallmark of the nation because it inclu-des as one of the artistic traditions of Indonesia. The main interesting thing to note about the form of shadow play is about coloring. Puppets in color, there is the soul of the puppet charac-ters, such as those done by the artisans village puppet Tunahan Jepara regency. The purpose of this study was to describe and explain the technical, aesthetic and symbolic value contained in the color of shadow play puppet craftsmen Tunahan village. This study used a qualitative approach. Target of the study was done by the shadow puppet puppet artisan village Tunahan Jepara regency. Staining techniques in the village Tunahan using tools and materials that are simple and easy to get, which is using wall paint brands paragon that can be blended to produce the desired colors. Aesthetic value of colors found in the overall use of color combined. Sometimes there are some people who use color collide. Tunahan village artisans seem to place more emphasis on taste artisan coloring when coloring process, rather than follow existing guidelines staining. Symbolic meanings that exist in prototype puppet coloring coloring found on the face and badan.Terkadang the same coloring on the face of the puppet work of rural artisans Tunahan has a different symbolic meaning, because in this case is more adapted to the character you want drawn on each figure child.

Abstract

Barang bekas merupakan media nonkonvensional dalam berkarya seni rupa, sehingga menarik untuk dikaji lebih dalam. Masalah yang diungkap adalah: (1) Bagaimana proses berkarya dalam memanfaatkan barang bekas sebagai media berkarya seni kriya di Komunitas TUK Salatiga ? (2) Bagaimana  nilai estetis yang terdapat dalam karya seni kriya yang dihasilkan dari pemanfaatan barang bekas di Komunitas TUK Salatiga ? Pendekatan penelitian yang dipilih adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Latar penelitian ini adalah di Komunitas TUK Salatiga. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data  pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  (1) Komunitas TUK Salatiga memproduksi karya seni kriya dari barang bekas. Barang bekas yang digunakan adalah barang bekas berupa plastik, kertas, dan karet ban bekas. (2) Proses produksinya menggunakan alat-alat seperti gunting, cuter, steples, pukul besi, mesin bur,mesin jahit,dll. Proses produksi seni kriya dari barang bekas di Komunitas TUK Salatiga terdiri dari dua jenis berdasarkan bahan yang dipakai, yaitu proses produksi karya dari bahan plastik dan karet ban, serta proses produksi karya dari bahan kertas. (3) Karya Kriya Komunitas TUK Salatiga selain memiliki nilai ekonomis juga memiliki nilai estetis. Thrift is a nonconventional media in the work of art, so interesting to study further. The problems revealed are: (1) How does the process work in utilizing scrap craft art as a medium working in Community TUK Salatiga? (2) How is the aesthetic value contained in the works of craft art resulting from the utilization of used goods in the Community TUK Salatiga? The selected research approach is qualitative descriptive. Background research is in the Community TUK Salatiga. Data obtained through observation, documentation and interviews. Data analysis techniques of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The results showed (1) Community TUK Salatiga produce works of craft art of thrift. Used goods are used are used goods such as plastics, paper, and rubber tires. (2) The production process using tools such as scissors, cuter, staples, hammer, bur machines, sewing machines, etc.. The production process of craft art scrap in Salatiga TUK Community consists of two types based on the materials used, the production process of the work of plastic and rubber tires, as well as the production process of paper work. (3) Work Community Kriya TUK Salatiga besides having economic value also has aesthetic value.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan unsur estetis desain kemasan rokok Djarum Black, menganalisis citra estetis desain kemasan rokok Djarum Black, serta mengidentifikasi faktor yang mempengaruhi citra estetis desain kemasan rokok Djarum Black. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan pendekatan semiotika dengan lokasi penelitian di perusahaan PT. Djarum Kudus. Sasaran penelitiannya adalah citra estetis desain kemasan rokok Djarum Black produksi PT. Djarum. Sumber informan adalah: pegawai Djarum bagian Public Affair, dosen Seni Rupa Unnes dan mahasiswa Seni Rupa Unnes. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hal-hal sebagai berikut: (1) kemasan rokok Djarum Black sudah memiliki desain yang sangat cukup eye-cathing. (2) citra estetis visual kemasan rokok Djarum Black memberikan kesan elegan, simple, kuat, dan mewah (3) Faktor yang mempengaruhi adalah faktor pengamanan, faktor ekonomi, faktor ergonomi, faktor komunikasi, faktor estetika, dan faktor identitas. Saran yang dapat diberikan yaitu: (1) bagi perusahaan PT. Djarum, perusahaan mengembangkan desain kemasan dari yang lebih dapat memenuhi selera konsumen secara lebih luas.. (2) bagi mahasiswa, perlu melakukan penelitian yang lebih luas dan mendalam dari aspek-aspek lain, misalnya aspek ekonomi, dan aspek makna atau filosofinya. The purpose of this study was to describe the aesthetic elements of Djarum Black cigarettes packaging design , packaging design aesthetic image analyzing Djarum Black cigarettes , as well as to identify factors that affect the image of the aesthetic design of cigarette packs Djarum Black . This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach and semiotic approach to the study site in the company of PT . Djarum Kudus . Research target is the aesthetic image of the cigarette packaging design production PT Djarum Black . Djarum . Sources informants are : the Public Affairs section Djarum employees , faculty and students of Fine Arts Fine Arts Unnes Unnes . Data collection were interviews , observation and documentation . The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis . The results showed the following: ( 1 ) cigarette packs Djarum Black already has a very pretty eye- cathing . ( 2 ) visual aesthetic image of Djarum Black cigarettes packaging gives the impression of an elegant , simple , robust , and luxury ( 3 ) factor is a factor that affects the security , economic, ergonomic factors , communication factors , aesthetic factors , and identity factors . Advice can be given as follows: ( 1 ) for the company PT . Djarum , the company developed the design of the packaging is more able to meet broader consumer tastes .. ( 2 ) for students , need to do more extensive research and in-depth than other aspects , such as economic aspects , and aspects of meaning or philosophy .
