Abstract

Based on data from the Ministry of Health, which was published by BNPB Public Relations, Tuesday (26/1/2021), the cumulative total of Corona cases in Indonesia is 1,012,350. Looking at the 1 million figure, the Minister of Health stated that the public and government must work hard to overcome the pandemic. In order to stop the transmission of Covid 19, the Indonesian government will also vaccinate the Indonesian population. Even though the vaccine has been given, other efforts continue to be made by health experts and the public to end the increase in the Covid-19 virus. In several countries including Indonesia, the government has made health guidelines and protocols to deal with the Covid-19 virus. The results of research conducted by Fauziah, E. et al. In 2021, in Sungai Tiung Village, data was obtained that some people had a positive perception of administering the Covid-19 vaccine, but from the questionnaire questions, many respondents answered incorrectly on matters relating to health protocols for preventing Covid-19. Based on the results of this research and given the importance of health protocols for preventing Covid-19, it is necessary to increase knowledge through health education to the public about health protocols for preventing Covid-19.

Abstract

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the leading causes of morbidity around the world. Between 1990 and 2019, the number of people with hypertension doubled, rising from 650 million to 1.3 billion. Hypertension is defined as high blood pressure with a systolic pressure higher than 140 mmHg and a diastolic pressure higher than 90 mmHg on both measurements taken at a five-minute interval during a period of sufficient rest or calm. Stress is the leading cause of hypertension because it increases cortisol output by the adrenal glands, which leads to hypertension. This study is a literature review which includes completing a journal review applying comparative research methods. The results indicate that there is a link. Cortisol levels and stress levels are linked in hypertensive patients because when stressed, the body releases more stress hormones (adrenaline and cortisol), which activates the Renin Angiotensin Aldosterone System (RAAS), causing blood pressure increase..

Abstract

Preschool children (ages 3–6 years) are in their golden age of development, during which physical and psychological maturity progress rapidly. Fine motor skills are particularly important, as they support later academic abilities such as writing and drawing. This study aimed to determine the effect of coloring stimulation on the fine motor development of preschool children at Aisyiyah Kindergarten, Sungai Alang Branch, Karang Intan. This research employed a quantitative, quasi-experimental design using one group pretest–posttest without a control group. The study involved 18 children in class B. Fine motor development was measured using an observation rubric, and data were analyzed with the Wilcoxon signed-rank test.  Before the intervention, the mean fine motor score was 3.89 (range 3–5). After five sessions of coloring stimulation, the mean score increased to 10.11 (range 8–12). Statistical analysis showed a significant difference (p-value=0.001, p<0.005), indicating that coloring stimulation had a measurable impact on children’s fine motor development. Coloring stimulation significantly improves preschool children’s fine motor skills. Both teachers and parents are encouraged to provide regular coloring activities as a simple, enjoyable, and effective strategy to optimize children’s developmental outcomes.

Abstract

Nutritional issues in toddlers remain a public health challenge, impacting their growth, development, and immune system. Nutrition intervention programs through supplementary feeding (PMT) and growth monitoring have been implemented at the community health center (Puskesmas) and integrated health service posts (Posyandu). However, program effectiveness is largely determined by community acceptance, regular distribution, and the quality of health services. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the nutrition intervention program for toddlers, including community knowledge, acceptance of assistance, perceived impacts, implementation challenges, and service quality. The study used a quantitative and qualitative approach (mixed methods) using questionnaires and in-depth interviews with mothers of toddlers receiving nutrition assistance. Data were analyzed thematically according to the categories of knowledge, acceptance, impacts, challenges, service quality, and community expectations. The results showed that the majority of respondents were aware of the nutrition intervention program and had received PMT assistance since 2024–2025. The program was assessed as having a positive impact in the form of weight gain, improved appetite, and decreased frequency of illness in toddlers. The quality of services provided by the community health center and integrated health service posts (Posyandu) was appreciated for being friendly and informative. Challenges emerged relatively minor, primarily related to the technical aspects of PMT distribution. Respondents hoped the program would continue with additional nutritious food variations. The nutrition intervention program has proven well-received by the community and has had a positive impact on toddler health. The program's success can be strengthened through diversification of support, ongoing monitoring, and increased participation of integrated health post (Posyandu) cadres in family support.
