Abstract

The increasing number of Covid-19 cases has led to a high demand for health services and the number of health workers in hospitals. This results in health workers working with the intensity of long working hours and increasing workloads. The high demands of work and excessive worry are a source of stres for nurses. The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants of factors that were associated with and most related to the work stres of nurses in carrying out services during the Covid-19 pandemic in the intensive isolation room of the Bali Mandara Hospital. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique respondent in this study is a total sample of 129 nurses. The instrument used in this research is a job stres questionnaire. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis (Spearman Rank correlation test), and multivariate analysis (Regression test). The results showed that most of the subject were aged 31-40 years (74,4%), female (60,5%), unmarried status (51,95%), working period of 3-5 years (79,8%), has a Diploma (76,7%) and has mild work stres (81,4%). The results showed that there was a relationship between age (p=0,001), marital status (p=0,003), years of service (p=0,006) and education (p=0,000) with work stres. There is no relationship between gender (p=0,108) and work stres. The results also showed that the level of education is the most related factor to the work stres of nurses. Ti is expected for nurses to continue their studies to a higher level so that nurses have broad insight and are not easily stresed when experiencing obstacles at work. Abstract

Positive cases of Covid-19 continue to increase in almost every country. Globally, there are approximately 113 million positive cases with 2.5 million deaths. The country with the highest number of positive patient cases is the United States, with 28 million cases. Indonesia is ranked 18th with a total of 1.3 million positive points and 35 thousand cases of death. Nurses are frontline health workers who care for Covid-19 patients. Nurses must use personal protective equipment (PPE) to carry out their duties. The use of this PPE can protect its users. The use of PPE at level 3 during the Covid-19 pandemic, as it is now for a long time, is one factor that can trigger burnout. Data states that  2,707 people from 60 countries say that health workers are experiencing burnout due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has not gone away and has even increased. The impact of this burnout causes nurses to feel a loss of energy, a loss of enthusiasm at work, and a loss of confidence. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the use of PPE and burnout in nurses. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The study used a purposive sampling technique with as many as 213 people. Data were analyzed using the Spearman rank test. The results showed that most respondents used PPE in the excellent category, namely 167 people (78.4%); most of the respondents experienced low burnout, namely 204 people (95.8%) with a p-value of 0.001 and a correlation strength of -0.228 with negative correlation direction. There is a relationship between the use of PPE and burnout, where the better PPE, the lower the burnout felt by nurses. Proper PPE can reduce nurses' burnout by making them feel safe and protected. Nurses are expected to use PPE according to standards continually; the hospital is also likely to regularly evaluate the mental health of nurses to reduce the risk of burnout. Abstract

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) and haemodialysis (HD) as an incident which causes a negative emotion experience which is called stressor. A well taken care stressor makes a person grows mature. On the contrary, a stressor that is not taken care well causes a physiological response such as worry, depression, angry, fear, feeling guilty, even death. A dismay is a feeling of worry, an unclear fear. Dismay is also a big power in controlling behaviour, good behaviour or disturb behaviour. The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of emotional freedom technique (eft) to the level of CKD patient’s dismay. Method: quasi experiment pre and post with control Group design i.e. the research design is divided into 2 groups One group as an intervention group and the other group as a control group. Result: there is a different level of dismay of CKD patient Before and after being given an emotional freedom technique (eft) to intervention and control group, where in the group shows that the p value is 0,000 while on control group the p value is 1,000. Based on physiologies technique this therapy knock the meridian body spots that stimulate relaxation effect from inside the body naturally, therefore when the body is relax the mind is more calm, indirectly contribute in decreasing the worry level of the patient because of uncontrolled excessive feeling. Conclusion: EFT is consider as an effective therapy, easy and fast in handling the physiological aspect especially dismay in CKD patient.

Abstract

Introduction:The complexity of duties and obligations, the high level of patient dependence on nurses in the intensive room, as well as the limited time they have to rest, causes nurses in the intensive room to lack time to complete nursing tasks which incidentally must be completed quickly and precisely so that nurses tend to experience burnout. The purpose of this study was to determine the burnout overview of implementing nurses in the Intensive Room. Method:The design of this research is quantitative descriptive research with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study was selected by a total sampling technique of 121 people. The Result: Results of this study are intensive nurses experiencing emotional exhaustion in the high category as many as 52 people (43%), depersonalization in the high category as many as 57 people (47.1%) and decreased personal achievement in the high category as many as 55 people (45 , 5%). Discussion:The results of this research are expected to be the management of Sanglah Hospital can conduct activities for refreshment such as outbound or family gathering and the need for additional nurses in the intensive room.

Abstract

Burnout can develop as a result of long work stress and cause a change in attitudes and behaviors withdrawing psychologically. The most visible impact of burnout is the decline in performance and quality of service. As a result, they were unable to fulfill the work demands and finally decided not to attend, increasing rates of sick leave, reduced work effectiveness or even leaving their jobs. This study aims to determine the effect of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) therapy on burnout in implementing nurses. The design of this study uses quasi-experimental design with control group. The sample in the study were 38 nurses, divided into 2 groups, each group consisting of 19 people selected through purposive sampling. This study used the Wilxocon Signed Rank Test to determine the differences in one pre-post group and the Mann Whitney Test to analyze changes after two different post-post groups. The results showed the value of p value in the treatment group = 0,000 which means that there was an effect of therapy (EFT) on burnout in the implementing nurses, whereas in the control group there was no difference with the p value = 0.925, the p value was influenced by EFT therapy (Emotional Freedom Technique ) towards burnout of nurse nurses before and after in groups of 0,000. It is expected that the Hospital can overcome burnout by passing EFT therapy.

Abstract

Family has important role in controlling the risk factor of stroke even controlling a repeated attack. The knowledge of the family also contributes in the patient's self evication  and it leads to the patient's behavior in the prevention of repeated attack. The purpose of the research is to know the relation the family knowledge level with the post stroke patient's self evication in preventing repeated attack. The research is quantitative with descriptive correlation research design which uses cross sectional approach, measure and collected together at once in the same time. The population in this research are all the stroke patient and the family when they were visiting neurology polyclinic in one of hospital in Bali 53 people by using total sampling technique. The research found that most of the family knowledge that does not come with a low patient's self evication which are 24 people (43,3%), enough family knowledge which come with enough patient's self evication which are 17 people (32,0%) and the family which have a high knowledge most of the patient that they take care also have high stroke self evication which are 3 people (5,6%) with P value 0,000 and r = 0,765 which means there is a relative between the family knowledge with a patient self evication. The stroke patient's self evication in changing the patient behavior fixing meal pattern and life style in two adaptive direction in future.
