Abstract

Stroke causes several physical and psychological symptoms. Early strokescontribute to a very significant risk of recurrent attacks. If there iscognitive impairment, it can affect one of the cognitive functions such asattention. This study aims to determine the description of the level of attentionof stroke patients after experiencing repeated attacks. The method and design ofthis study were a descriptive study using frequency distribution, with a cross-sectional research approach. The samples were 67 post-stroke patients whoexperienced repeated attacks, using non-probability sampling techniques withpurposive sampling techniques based on inclusion and exclusion criteria anddata collection using the TMT (trail making test A and B) questionnaire. Theresults of this study describe that most of the respondents have less attention inthe category of 56 people (83, 6%). Factors that can affect attention are age, theolder a person gets, the worse his or her attention after a stroke is coupled withthe degenerative process experienced by stroke sufferers. Prolonged stressand psychological conditions and the inability to adapt to new conditions greatlyinterfere with the recovery process because on average stroke patients not onlyexperience sequelae after an attack but also unstable psychological conditionsthat can worsen their physical condition. Conclusions: Identification respondents'attention has a poor attention category mostly, it is necessary to carry outpreventive, curative, or rehabilitative promotive prevention in stroke patients bymodifying a healthy lifestyle to prevent recurrent attacks

Abstract

Stunting is one of the indicators of chronic malnutrition that occurs due to deficiency of nutrient intake or infectious diseases that occur in a long period of time. Iron affects the hemoglobin levels of adolescents who are growing and the increased need for iron caused by the menstrual process. Giving Blood Add Tablets to prospective brides, pregnant women and young women is a joint effort between the government and the community to prevent stunting. This community service activity was carried out through four stages, namely socialization of activities to teachers and students, distributing questionnaires before and after the activity to measure the level of knowledge and attitudes of students, providing health education and finally giving blood tablets and involving teachers as program evaluators. The results of community service activities were 28 people (78%), female respondents aged 16 years (78%), female sex as many as 36 people (100%), the level of knowledge before being given counseling the majority were in the less category as many as 24 people (67%) and after being given counseling some Majority in the good category as many as 17 people (47%), adolescent attitudes in preventing anemia before being given counseling were mostly in the less category as many as 18 people (50%) and after being given counseling mostly in the good category as many as 24 people (67%). It is suggested to the school to form a monitoring team for taking medication from the peer group as an effort to monitor students in taking medication regularly. The purpose of this study is to know the influence of GEFT towards mood disorders nurse students in thesis compilation. This research is quantitative with a quasi experiment research design pre and post with control group design. The sampling technique is purposive sampling with a total sample of 32 respondents divided into 2 groups the treatment group and the control group. Data were collected using The Brunel Mood Scale (BRUMS) questionnaire. Data analysis uses the Wilxocon Signed Rank Test and the Mann Whitney Test. The results showed the value of p value in the treatment group = 0.003 which means that there was an influence of GEFT on mood disorders of nursing students in preparing their thesis, whereas in the control group there was no difference with the value of p value = 0.317. Changes in students mood disorders after being given GEFT due to a combination of spiritual spells with techniques that support the effectiveness of GEFT.

Abstract

The provision of effective and efficient personal protective equipment (PPE) is very important for health workers who are vulnerable to contracting in treating COVID-19 patients. Drill method is a method of learning by providing repeated skill training. The purpose of this study was to find out the influence of drill method through handover in improving the ability of nurses to use PPE. Types of Pre-Experimental Research with a pre-post test design approach of one group. The number of sample was 13 respondents, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data collection instrument used observation sheet. Data was analysed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results showed that the average pre-test ability of nurses was mostly 75.95, namely 6 people (45.2%) fall into the category of sufficient, while the average ability of post test was mostly 93.62 which is as many as 13 people (100%) fall into the good category. Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test analysis results obtained asymp. 0.001, meaning there is an influence of drill method through handover in improving the ability of nurses to use PPE. Drill methods can improve the ability of nurses, especially in using PPE through continuous training in accordance with the stages in the SPO.

Abstract

The increasing number of Covid-19 cases has led to a high demand for health services and the number of health workers in hospitals. This results in health workers working with the intensity of long working hours and increasing workloads. The high demands of work and excessive worry are a source of stres for nurses. The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants of factors that were associated with and most related to the work stres of nurses in carrying out services during the Covid-19 pandemic in the intensive isolation room of the Bali Mandara Hospital. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique respondent in this study is a total sample of 129 nurses. The instrument used in this research is a job stres questionnaire. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis (Spearman Rank correlation test), and multivariate analysis (Regression test). The results showed that most of the subject were aged 31-40 years (74,4%), female (60,5%), unmarried status (51,95%), working period of 3-5 years (79,8%), has a Diploma (76,7%) and has mild work stres (81,4%). The results showed that there was a relationship between age (p=0,001), marital status (p=0,003), years of service (p=0,006) and education (p=0,000) with work stres. There is no relationship between gender (p=0,108) and work stres. The results also showed that the level of education is the most related factor to the work stres of nurses. Ti is expected for nurses to continue their studies to a higher level so that nurses have broad insight and are not easily stresed when experiencing obstacles at work. Abstract

Positive cases of Covid-19 continue to increase in almost every country. Globally, there are approximately 113 million positive cases with 2.5 million deaths. The country with the highest number of positive patient cases is the United States, with 28 million cases. Indonesia is ranked 18th with a total of 1.3 million positive points and 35 thousand cases of death. Nurses are frontline health workers who care for Covid-19 patients. Nurses must use personal protective equipment (PPE) to carry out their duties. The use of this PPE can protect its users. The use of PPE at level 3 during the Covid-19 pandemic, as it is now for a long time, is one factor that can trigger burnout. Data states that  2,707 people from 60 countries say that health workers are experiencing burnout due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has not gone away and has even increased. The impact of this burnout causes nurses to feel a loss of energy, a loss of enthusiasm at work, and a loss of confidence. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the use of PPE and burnout in nurses. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The study used a purposive sampling technique with as many as 213 people. Data were analyzed using the Spearman rank test. The results showed that most respondents used PPE in the excellent category, namely 167 people (78.4%); most of the respondents experienced low burnout, namely 204 people (95.8%) with a p-value of 0.001 and a correlation strength of -0.228 with negative correlation direction. There is a relationship between the use of PPE and burnout, where the better PPE, the lower the burnout felt by nurses. Proper PPE can reduce nurses' burnout by making them feel safe and protected. Nurses are expected to use PPE according to standards continually; the hospital is also likely to regularly evaluate the mental health of nurses to reduce the risk of burnout.
